Its pretty bad when streaming apps and services are cheaper than standard TV Service with this ISP. You can buy from an App for $30 and get more channels than their "Basic" Package. Never going to consider buying TV from you guys. Money Gougers.

I went in to have my iPhone repaired. Was talked into purchasing a tablet. Called my daughter who s account my phone is under to ask her about it and she explained to me that I was only paying the interest monthly, instead of an actual payment. Ok, so I don t know about these things . He charged me $50.00 because the tablet was taken out of the box! It never even left the store. I m an idiot. I m STILL gonna report him. First, for not explaining to me or telling me that I was paying interest only. Secondly, for charging me $50.00 (which I stupidly paid for) for an item that was only taken out of the box . No info of mine was even entered.
I d give them 0 stars, if possible.

I now need a new HDMI cord and new box since I ve had so much trouble with the one I ve been using, which they re aware of from phone calls. I m wondering how much they re gonna try to make me pay for something that wasn t my fault.

Between stuff like this, the random downtime, and prices going up every year I am more than ready for some competition in the area!

August 5 received service . August 8-12 service goes out. Technician comes out, doesn t fix problem permanently. Two days later it goes back out. Another tech comes out. August 14 my bill comes for service I could not (and still cannot use). Another tech comes out but didn t have the tools . And it was my problem to reschedule. They tell me the issue is my wireless computer needs to be hardwired so I wouldn t have issues. Here we are 12 days into September and internet is not working AGAIN!! If the bill is owed you hear from them non-stop...not when you need your internet working, however.

I have internet with the worst modem ever! Hitron is a bad modem (replaced it 3 times in 2 weeks). I do not have phone for 2 days now and the internet is intermittent. Very bad service. Non existent support. They are only in business due to the monopoly they have over this area. Any other comparable alternative and half the population will switch almost instantly.

Buckeye is the absolute worst company I have ever had service through. I have had constant problems from the beginning. This is the first review I have ever done in my life and it s just to help people looking for cable, satellite, or internet. I m hoping this will deter as many people as possible from getting their service because it is atrocious. I have never talked to a person that has buckeye and they say oh buckeye is great. Not once, they are consistently awful

If you re looking for another internet provider; choose someone who will actually provide internet.

Terrible service and expensive plans for little in return. The only reason we use their service is because they have a monopoly in St. James Woods. Having low Data limits so they can fine customer's play stupid games for money win stupid prizes. Congrats on being the shittiest service around. 10/10 would not recommend.

Horrible experience . I have screenshots of how they said from 11/18/2018 to 12/17/2018 we used 90 gbs. When we just started the install on 11/26/2018. Then when confronted , it changed to then saying that we used it on the 27, and 28th... We work from 5 pm-330 am , 11pm -7am and sleep most of the freaking day, wakes up at like 230pm or 3 pm. How tf did we use that many gbs in two days. It's not possible if all we do is web browser. Switching providers because this is bs. File transferring is what they said did it... But how? Wth, we don't file transfer and the internet is so slow that when we try to stream ANYTHING, we turn the wifi off and use our hotspt. WHY WOULD WE TRY TO FILE TRANSFER on 20 mbs speed. Tested it and it's only 17 mbs wireless... Worst choice to make. They did nothing to try to solve it and they even called after the service asking how our RECONNECTION service went? Does that not sound like someone putting someone else's usages that lived here before on US? Something Is either seriously wrong with the modem or the people themselfs trying to make some quick money. Check you guys usage daily!!!

After 2 months of dealing with breaks in service hours of watching a black screen, hours on the phone with said technicians telling me it s my modem (replaced it), it s my speed( $40 extra a month went to 100), it needs to be hard wired with an Ethernet cable, it s my TV (went and bought a rocky stick) blah blah blah after demanding they send a technician out to my house. Carl showed up and said my line outside was bad signal a -19 he had it fixed and was very pleasant he is the only good thing I have to say about this company. They don t want to be bothered and will give you any excuse besides the obvious one. The one that comes out of their wallet. Of course they don t want to send a tech out it costs them money instead of us!!! So now I went back down to 20speed returned the roku and I m good to go thank you Carl for keeping it real with me he is the only good thing I have to say about buckeye cable. If I had a different option in my area I would have been GONE along time ago!!

They over charge on everything. They build a new office at McCord/Airport for what? There's all kinds of counters to help people and only always 2 people working. What is the point of having to go to a board type your info in then a person tells you that you have to wait then do it all over again when you get to the counter. What for? What a waste.

I initially used Buckeye for my ISP due to a limited choice of providers in the area. The installer was subcontracted and performed a quick and shoddy job, was generally not professional in appearance or completion of installation. Initial bandwidth was ok with poor upload speeds making completion of encrypted medical documentation for work slow and tedious and web based tv picture quality well below expected quality for my money. I cancelled my subscription when my rate was increased to nearly $70 for a less than mediocre service due to lack of competition in my service area. I now use toastnet which is actually AT&T DSL at 25GB with an initial significant improvement in upload and download bandwidth and a $23 reduction in my bill. Buckeye Cablesystem offers a bare minimum service at a premium price, a very poor objective value comparatively. I'm looking forward to the day Google fiber decides to compete for business in the Toledo area.

I wish I did't have to give to give them 1 star but that part of the rating system. They have to be easily one of the worst cable and internet provider. terrible service my internet is unreliable, The internet either runs slow or just isn't working. And buckeye decides to jack my bill up by $10 now im paying more for an already overpriced internet that's close to useless. I would love to drop them and switch to another provider but unfortunately buckeye has monopolized my area and I have no other choice. Buckeye you are truly garbage.

Only get one star because I had to give something to review how bad billing is. Returned equipment and canceled service, they continued to charge us for the next 6 months and want paid. Even after calls each month and calls to collections. They refuse to admit they are wrong!

$19 late fee? Other utilities charge $5 AT MOST. $10 per month equipment rental (go get your own router, I did). Of course since they have a monopoly on many areas around Toledo, they can charge whatever they want and we just have to take it (in the rear end). I have no doubt AT&T and Buckeye sat down at a table and agreed to split up the city. No competition whatsoever. Doesn't that seem weird to people, with all those service providers out there?

Would NEVER recommend this money grab business to anyone. My service goes in and out constantly my bills are outrageous. Billing is hard to follow. Ive paid almost 1000 in a few months. Smh.

For the most part I am very happy with buckeye bro...

For the most part I am very happy with buckeye broadband with the exception of in the area where I live it seems to have quite frequent interruptions.you really did not have these problems in the previous area maybe it's interference from the clinic in the hospital that is around me the apartment complex I live in it's not that big so I'm not sure why the problems.

Worst internet provider I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They will increase your service fee at any time they choose. Their customer service center employees lack the training needed to actually help anyone. Their service can drop from your modem at anytime, and is very unreliable. They are dishonest when you do business with them by telling you one thing, to get you to pay more monthly.

They rewired my lines and told me it would get buried within 2-3 days. Then later said 3-5 business days and now 4-6 weeks. Terrible ! I wish I would have gone somewhere else I m in a condo too and the wires are in my neighbors yard. Horrible customer service and they lied to me

Staff is very knowledgeable, when I visited I was able to speak with the new store supervisor really great guy helpful and responsive to questions. The store set up looks like a tech store and cell phone carrier store merged. Streamline process, now if I want to pay my bill in the store there are dedicated kiosks to do just so without having to wait. Also it's neat to check out the smart board you can build the perfect package or bundle.

If there wasn't a monopoly in my area for internet I would have a different service. My bill has been messed up more times than I can count. It feels like I have to call once a month to get it straightened out, which is a chore in itself because the "24/7" customer service is only available 9-3 Monday through Thursday. When I first signed up for my service I was told if I provided my own modem it would be a $10 discount. 4 months later I stopped receiving the discount and the customer service associate told me no such discount exists dispite what my billed said. Absolutely the worst of the worst.

I think seminars would be so much better if organizers provided a hand out. Most of the participants are older and it would be easier to reference key material afterwards. I take notes but the majority of people there don't have any documentation to reference.

Really nice, fancy store... how 'bout you get more than 3 people working here? There was at least 40 people ahead of us. Then customer service spends too much time chatting with customers instead of pushing them through.

They should spend more money on employees and less on flooring, chairs and stupid signs that show grinning people. Not a single person waiting was happy.

Replaced an old cable modem. The wait was only about 10 minutes on a Saturday. The support person also checked the account and found that bandwidth and speed could be upgraded with no price increase. It's a huge improvement over the process at the old location near Southwyck.

This company is a monopoly in the Toledo area so whenever they feel the urge to price gouge, they do. My family has had service with the company for 2 years now without many issues but for 6 months they've tacked on a 30 dose per month charge for unlimited data without notice when signing for each plan it was included and every play available offers no data caps. We will report to the BBB and make a call for action. This company sells an interactive product and force it's customers to pay more for less service

My mother's small box stopped working. She called for help, the tech couldn't get it fixed so he signed her up for someone to come out tomorrow. She was told it would be $50 charge, why is she being charged for your equipment not working. So we took it over to the store on Talmage. When I walked in the gentleman was rude when I asked him about the charge. He had a mean tone in his voice. I never got his name. Maybe you should teach your workers, customers are always right even if they don't think they are. They need to service customers with a smile, leave thier attitude at home.

Called twice to speak to a manager or supervisor at buckeye and they said to me "I can't transfer you to my supervisor, they need to call you" I have never, in my entire life, been told that if I ask to speak to a supervisor, I cant. Horrible customer service, horrible service, horrible everything.

NOw you have to log into a computer and a lot of older people don't know how to do that .There are people there waiting to initiate service, people with broken receivers remotes, and people who just want to pay their bill and get the heck out of there

I've given a lot of money to this business and that's entirely my fault. They cannot guarantee a wifi speed or connection only a Hardline. With wireless devices a norm now it seems irrelevant to market a hard line connection. They also will not inform you of when your promotions are finished nor are they willing to offer you another unless you spend 45 minutes on the phone with them. I could not recommend their products in good conscience. Their grace period on their due dates ranges from a few days to 10 minutes. They waved a late fee once because I never reverece my bill for that month and then wouldn't do it again when I revreced it days after the due date. The only two times in the year+ I've had their services. As a full time student and working full time I just have not had the time to seek out another provider. Looks like I'll have to take time off work to do so.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I signed up for my own internet and although I heard they sucked, I tried it anyways. So my bill is constantly changing and they keep charging me for over use of data and when you get the "e-bill", it links you to a very non mobile friendly site and the "view" of your bill is just the price, not a very clear statement. When I signed up for the promotion, the sales lady made it sound as though you need to purchase extra data before you can use it or they slow your internet down, but all they do is charge you and I got rammed with a $70 extra bill and I called to complain and this lady thought I was crazy for thinking they'd slow the internet down if I hit my max. It isn't a new practice, some phone companies slow your service after you reach your data limit and you dont get charged a fee for it and that sale lady was very wishy washy about the whole thing with going over your data limit. I have no complaints about the service itself but AT&T didn't even do this to me and they were cheaper.

Update more website issues logging on to get a copy of the actual bill. It works intermittently. And if you call the very polite nice customer service rep says you can sign up for paper billing. They can not email the bill.

Its a money maker as they then charge $2 per bill they send you.

Sadly, this large Toledo Based company has not figured out how to send the bill via email.

Hate how I was talked into 2 year contract.....as soon as its over Im going to At&t where I can get more tv channels and more internet for way less then what I pay through buckeye.

Buckeye is absolutely terrible! They deserve negative stars. You start out paying about 40-50 bucks a month but then they start charging you more saying you were on a temporary promotion. They promised me I'd be paying about 40 bucks a month and now I'm paying 80! Not to mention you're paying for GARBAGE service! My internet is typically so slow to the point where it's taking 10 minutes to load a website. DO NOT RECOMMEND BUCKEYE!

Gave a broken cable box. I'm canceling my service. Don't go here. Or get buckeye broadband. Plus on top of all that. My cable bill was 219.00. And I got the 99.00 dollar plan. I only had this whole plan for 1 month plus two weeks. 45 days. It's a mess. Boxes don't work. They over charge. Please save your money. Wish I did. I would never got it plus the guy was like don't worry about the crack in your box.... Really.

Worst cable provider I ve experienced. I was with AT&T at my last home which was cheaper with more channels and unlimited broadband. Sadly Buckeye has a monopoly where I live so they are the only choice. Will be changing to satellite soon. As an aside I am from the UK originally where I could get unlimited broadband, all sports and movie channels for about $120/month, we get ripped off big time here in the US and don t get me started with cell phones.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Only reason I have them is because they're the only company to offer "high speed" internet at my home. Constantly kicking us off wifi, buffering, and losing connection. They messed my bill up and disconnected my services. They had been charging the incorrect account which I'd moved from months before and owed me close to $200. I called about this issue multiple times and there was no resolution. I had to go into the office to have the issue resolved.

When I call with issues, I find the staff extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Phone wait time is never a problem because they offer the option of taking your number and calling YOU back. The only gripe I have ever had with Buckeye Broadband and it s a big one is the cost. Super high monthly charges that they jack up about every year.
