Everything you expect out of a cable/ISP Monopoly, Buckeye will give you. Raised monthly rates, hour plus long customer service hold times, sub-par speeds, the works. And it'll stay that way because your choice is realistically only them unless you're able to get with AT&T or Spectrum. What I can say is that when I am able to speak to a representative, they aren't rude, so I'll give them that at least.

Robert with the braids was amazing!!!!! He came out, and on top of it being very late, required whatever horrible job the other guy did and even fixed our modem so my babies nursery camera now works! After almost a year of horrible service!!!! And he was so funny and nice! After a horrible day he made it better for both me and my mom! Two thumbs up to Robert! If only he could do everyone s cable and internet I bet no one would have to keep calling for fixes and bugs!

Tech-support over the phone was very helpful and informative. It could ve been a nightmare. It was not. Going into the Talmage Road location was simple easy and quick. Beautiful store neat clean and professional service.

I ve had the service for three years. Their outages are in line with the national average. Issues are not with people, it s been technical here or there. I ve only had to bring any equipment once in three years. Overall the service has been good to great.

When reading peoples reviews take note. Are there examples, reasons, or are they just stating a blanket claim of horrible or wonderful. Those people are called trolls.

Was very displeased when they increased my already high bill by 11.00 a month without giving any notice, just charge what you want and hopefully the customer won't notice.Was told they have nothing to do with the programming but the shows are never ending repeats you'd think being a cable provider they could do something about it. Internet and tv should not cost 180.00 a month!

They never tell you when they're going to knock out your services to do their maintenance, they just wait until you call and leave an automated message for you to listen to. And if you have any kind of problem that requires a tech to come to your home, you'll be waiting at least a week.

This is the most mismanaged company I have seen. It took me a month and hours talking to their multiple representatives to finally port my phone number to another provider. AND they charged me for using my landline for a whole month while it wasn't even working. They outsources their chat support and there is no coordination between different branches of customer support. Stay away if you can, but here in Toledo we are doomed because Buckeye Broadband is the only source of decent internet speed. They have a monopoly and they don't care.

Waited on hold for hours at a time. Signed up for call back system and never heard back! Finally after a week of waiting for a technician to help (and given a window of 3-5pm) technician is late! All this after an update on the system, which also crashed my business system and cost me paying an IT support company to come and fix the problem! Thanks for a horrible update, lack of support, and customer service buckeye.

Here we are again... up at off peak hours and the internet is complete garbage. Speeds throttled down to unusable levels. Loss of service completely. This company is the worst. ZERO communication with regards to service outages and ZERO communication when scheduled maintenance will take place. To bad they have a monopoly on they city. Closed door deals making it impossible for anyone to get service else ware and competition forced innovation.

To anyone who says the price is great and speeds are fast.. you are either Higher than a kite, work for Buckeye, or have NEVER traveled and experience actual good service.

I was with Buckeye for over 20 yrs service was great fast friendly and seldom needed. the only reason I left was the cost, and it kept rising. when I called to say I just could not pay the next increase they said OK. Not even an offer to discuss options. I am on social security and I wish they had a program for low income people.

Living in Sylvania, I do not have other options for high speed internet. I pay way more than I should for a service that works about 65% of the time. When I call and talk to a service tech, after being on hold for 45minutes after being told the wait is 7minutes, they tell me to reset the router, which I already have bc I go through this once a month at least. Then they tell me they can have a tech come out in a week bc they're busy, so I pay for a aervser I cannot use.

Buckeye increased my bill by 10 dollars a month a few months ago to be able to implement upgrades and higher speeds. However, I swear ever since they increased price, internet speeds haven t been any quicker and now my internet is going out at least once a week for an hour at a time. I called regarding this issue before and they knocked 10 bucks off my bill, which was nice, but I m continuing to have the same problems. If you re charging an arm and a leg for internet, you need to provide dependable service.

Its the whole experience, everyone needs internet and most all internet is the same, but what makes Buckeye different is the relationship that comes with it. We have to reset our router everyday just to get it to work. We don't use it for more than a PS4 and our laptop occasionally. They never call you back. The wait times are terrible. If you get behind on a bill the choke your service instead of just calling you. Doesn't matter if you buy a better package the tech team member told us your area is aloted an amount of "service". If your neighborhood is using it, doesn't matter how much you pay it's being stretched to thin anyways. Sounds like a quality control issue, not my issue. If you cant give us what we pay for but still expect us to pay for nothing. It'll come around. Get it together Suckdry. And Google let us leave zero star reviews.

If I could give a NO STAR I WOULD! Over priced service.... had only internet service, prices kept going up, called to try to get a cheaper plan, the lady on the other end kept telling me she couldn t make any provisions on/ or for a different plan, so I hung up and called a competitors company, got a cheaper deal with faster service.. called Buckeye back to cancel my service.... all of sudden this lady could give me a deal.... oh well toooooo late!

The service is non-existent! I'm paying way too much for nothing. Customer service... What is up with that? Phones are never answered, chats are left on hold, and problems are always minimized. If only I had another option for internet in my area. What a joke.

Switched over to Buckeye when we moved in November 2018. Have had the worse experience ever. I have to call at least 2 times a month to have it reset, just to get it to work. And they are always trying to sell more products. Who in their right mind would buy more products from a company that can t get the first one right?

We have had several modems replaced in addition TiVo is continually going completely out.cable lines replaced again and still TiVo goes out. Having to continually unplug the box and reload the application. Terrible not satisfied with the the TiVo. Service technicians twice they came out they are great no complaint there. this is a TiVo internet issue .Want to return to cable connection and not continue to deal with intermittent viewing through TiVo .

My budget has been tightening, Contacted customer support about reducing monthly cost. Decided on reducing my speed down to 25Mbps and data to 250Gb. Also discussed purchasing my own modem to get rid of the $10.00 rental fee for the refurbished modem that i was rebooting once a day to remain connected. I had MFG and model numbers for units i was considering. The customer support agent sent me to tech support. I was prepared to give the modem details to the technician, but i was told that the modem just needed to have Docsis 3.0 or higher. I purchased a modem meeting this requirement. Of course on installation the modem does not work after buckeye performed the activation process. Buckeye makes it clear that they are not responsible for end user owned equipment, and i understand that. However when i called back customer support they refused to do any troubleshooting with me, refusing to attempt the activation again, refusing to let me talk to a technican, or start a service ticket, and finally refusing to let me speak with a supervisor. I performed my due diligence to make sure that the modem i was purchasing would work on the buckeye network. Now they refuse to help me in anyway.
Avoid Buckeye Broadband if you can.

I have subscribed to buckeye cable since before 1987, over 30 years. I lost my remote and went to Buckeye Cable store to get another one. They said we can give you one for $10. I daid hold on a minute, I am paying $1,000/yr for cable service and cannot access different channels the remote and you're not going to provide one. That remote can't have more than a dollars worth of materials in it and you're going to turn me away and revenue of $1,000 a year for that remote. Fine cancel my service. That was two years ago and I have not heard from Buckeye Cable since

Well they did a wonderful job taking back my equipment and helping me settle my final bill I truly do not want to become a buck a cable customer again way too expensive in there are many other options out there. I do understand that they are a large local employer but especially in these times with the Pandemic you would think they would cut people some slack

Brandon and Aquil helped us tremendously. They treated me with respect and fixed the issue. I took one star off because I wished that Buckeye as a company had not updated their system to the point of my modem no longer working requiring me to obtain a new modem and after two weeks of dealing with this issue of connecting back to the network the only two people who cared enough to fix the problem were Brandon and Aquil. Their mommas should be proud. Thanks guys.

If you rent a modem from them, when you want to disconnect service, the only way to do it is to go in the store. They don't let you do it over the phone or Internet because they require you to physically drop off the modem in person. They only have three employees working and I waited at the store for over an hour just to drop off my modem and tell them I'm disconnecting service.

CONSTANTLY lose internet service in Sylvania Ohio with Buckeye! I mean sometimes 2-3 times per week for extended times with multiple shorter interruptions in between. Unfortunately there are no other cable internet options in our neighborhood. Very pricy when you compare to services available in other areas. Very interesting to me that when my service is working and I run a test using the Buckeye Broadband page the speeds are off the chart, but all other applications clock at half they speed Buckeye claims.

Worst Service Provider and Customer service. Packages depends on person to person and they never clarify why this happened. I have paid 20 bucks after cancellation of my connection. Speed is horrible and they are taking 10 bucks in every month for the router. I will not recommend anyone to take their services.

I always pay my bill before it's actually due. The new place they have is nice but not needed. The cable is to high.

After two months after initial installation, Buckeye has failed to set up or provide functioning wireless service in our home. Three technicians have installed three different modems on three different occasions with the same outcome - no service. I've had to work from home on a personal hotspot. We've requested a refund/prorate for days with intermittent and total outages, but have not yet heard back; customer service by phone has been unenthusiastic. There is no competition in the area. I've lived and traveled all over the world and have never had this issue in any industrialized country - ever.

I WISH I could give buckeye zero stars. For one, when I cancelled service after a year they automatically charged my credit card $719. So, I cancelled/disputed it, because I did not owe $719. Then, when I spoke to them, they agreed that I didn t owe $719 and that a random $300 charge was a mistake!! So I asked them to send me an updated bill so I could proceed to pay. Hmmm. So fast forward to now, and I just received the bill for $419 due 12/22. GREAT! BUT, 2 days later I received a letter from a creditor on behalf of buckeye. What!? That s absurd. So I calmly called them and spoke to REGINA. she was very rude. I mean rude. Told me I need to concentrate on the creditor and not them. Are you kidding me! I told her the whole situation and she continued to interrupt me and be just downright rude. I told her she should concentrate on customer service. I asked for a manager and she told me one isn t available. I hope this place straightens up, or goes out of business. Had I not disputed the bill to begin with, I would ve been overcharged $300, which I work very hard for. Unbelievable. Happy holidays!

Oh, and when I asked for her last name or at least her employee ID so I could reference her on a complaint, she refused both and said she s in the system as REGINA.

This Is a trash company, they keep sending a bill that has been paid in full four months ago to a collections agency. They are ruining my credit I called this company three times talked to three different people all saying it has been paid and they still haven't fixed there issue. I'm still receiving debt collector letters saying that Owe the money. I was on a automatic payment plan which paid it in full on it's due date and never had any problems for three years and now they are screwing everything up and I can't figure out how to fix their own problems. They're probably doing this to everybody and hoping that some people pay the extra bill money and they're making millions extra. When you speak to a representative they tell u are wrong when You have the conversation recorded from what was said about something being taken off they charge you extra money for absolutely nothing.. they are scam artist that think they get away with it. If u are looking for great service this definitely isn t the place to go! The representatives are rude and think they can speak to anyway, when you ask for a supervisor they say they can t come to the phone, they will not call you back even if you ask them to tell them to call you! Needed to disconnect and WOW did they make me jump through hoops! I had to wait on hold for an "authorized" person to disconnect me. This line I was being transferred to was called "VIP Retention" and boy did they convince me to stay a customer by making me wait even longer to disconnect. I'm fed up with this company and it's malpractices. They cause me and my friends a lot of stress. Unfortunately for many of us they are the only option... A MONOLPOLY

I'm thankful for buckeye for giving me a promotional deal for $50 - 50 Mbps speeds for one year and I do really enjoyed it.

The only reason it wasn't fully 5 stars as the router kept going out.

With that being said you can never count on the speeds to be dependable cause they are always having issues. They are a terrible company that only cares about your dollars and are even worse at customer service. Toledo needs more options cause I can assure you buckeye would not last. So many people have terrible experiences with this place, what happened to service with a smile?

Biggest problem with them is price. It's 1 thing to go up 10 bucks for cable services a year, but a 19 dollar late fee when payment is due in the middle of the billing cycle is a joke. Hard to pay my bill when the customer portal is down more than it is up. No complaints about the services offered. It's cheaper to just pay for Internet and stream ala cart from other providers for the channels you actually watch. If I only watch 15 channels, why pay for 180.

Completely awful service for internet and tv. You almost have to think it s a joke someone is playing on you when don t know if your service is going to work each day or not at charges of a premium price. It s sad there aren t other options in the Toledo area for these services. Buckeye probably spends more to keep competition out than it would cost to improve their own service. It s truly sad that I ve had to learn more about servicing these constant issues than the people know when I call weekly because something isn t working.

I have to 200mbps package with an added 5mbps upload speed for streaming video games. Currently and far too often I'm stuck at 200Kbps. Their service is terrible and they deflect the blame on the end user. If Google fiber was in Toledo or literally any better service I'd jump ship so fast their internet wouldn't be able to refresh a page... (I wouldn't have to move quickly is what I'm getting at)
