I drove 75 miles to look at a car. When I get there I find it has 2 huge rock chips in windshield and a cut in lower fender, where it meets the door. The door had rust where it had been rubbing the fender. Strange for a 2012. It also had broken weatherstripping on both rear door side windows. I asked to have it all fixed and the manager got angry and said if I wanted all that fixed there would be no deal. I settled on having the fender,door,windshield fixed. I took the car home and returned it to have it fixed. I received a call that it was done. I go to pick it up to find they had messed up the plastic molding under the fender. It was now yellowish, on a silver car. The undercoating on the fender ran and discolored the molding. I can't understand how no one saw this before they called me. The salesman said it looked great when he called me. The salesman was not there, so I asked the receptionist who I could talk to. She pointed me to the managers office. I stood in the door and said hi, one guy was on the phone and the other just sitting there. Neither person acknowledged me. The receptionist called me back after she noticed me still standing in the door way after 5 minutes. She had the salesman on the phone. I told him what was going on he said he would fix the problem. I hung up the phone and turn around to see the receptionist and manager whispering to each other. She then asks me if everything was ok, I said I would like to show the car to a manager. So I showed it to a manager and they said they would fix it. So 3 days later the salesman calls and says he told the place they took the car, that it looked like crap and they need to re paint the molding. He says its ready to pick up and looks great. I go to get it again on a Sunday, I find that the molding was NOT painted. They tried to buff it out, but I can still see it. If I didn't know it was there I might not notice. I was told it was painted and it was not. Being a Sunday no one was there, so I just took the car home. Total miles I drove to supposedly have this car fixed was 3 trips and 450 miles. The car should have NEVER been put on the lot in that condition. I have NO faith in the 172 point inspection. The certified technician checked off that the windshield,fender,door were OK. So if he couldn't see huge rock chips and a hole in the fender how can I trust any of the other things that he supposedly checked. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. I will never be back and I will use social media to let everyone know what I went through.

I brought my off-brand vehicle into Bob Brown service due to the readily accessibility of their location to my job. I had seen their commercials and they seemed worth a try, plus, as a vet, I knew they were vet friendly-which is nice.
Calling ahead (en route) and scheduling a service appointment (same day) was surprisingly easy (thanks...Mindy?) The vehicle was diagnosed quickly, and I was able to make a future repair appointment for the following week.
Fast forward to yesterday (Friday).
The vehicle was dropped off at the early A.M appointment time for repair; and was told it would only take a few hours. Around 3pm, I began to call the dealership to check on the status of the repair. My service rep Todd was nowhere to be found. This was the case for the multiple calls I made during the afternoon and evening. I never received a call, email, or text back.
6pm closing time came and went, all the while my calls went unanswered. Still not one bit of communication since drop off.
I walked from work, flagged down the last employee of the day whom just happened to be able to get my completed vehicle, took payment, and had me stranded no more.
I was having mixed emotions about the dealership after that experience, after all, I was stranded and pissed.
Joe, a Military Police war veteran and supervisor, made my less-than-stellar experience and turned it into a 5 star event. He stayed almost an hour after close making sure that the last customer of the day was taken care of before the last person left the dealership. This amount of integrity, dedication to duty, selfless service, and basic decent respect he showed said volumes about this dealership. Joe made sure I was comfortable inside from the sweltering heat, and during the entire ordeal, he had nothing less than a sincere smile on his face. On his personal Friday night after close on his way home, he willingly took a pissed off customer and took his personal time to reopen the service center just to get me taken care of.
Due to Joe, I will be happy to return to Bob Brown Chevrolet for my service work. I even receive a better experience than at my actual brand dealership.
The price was extremely reasonable and just so happeened to be better than the competiton.
The quality of work turned out to be great. My vehicle drives like butter and better than before.
Lastly, the showroom and service center looks like it just got converted from a NASA sterile clean room. But that was ok! It was professional and relax.

They GUESS what is wrong with your car. Do not take your car to them. I was told that it was the starter the last time I had to take it to them. Which was another lie/Guess. I had it towed to a different mechanic this time who got it started for $20 without the starter and it has started ever since. Do not trust them! Do not put your car in the hands of these thief s. Other programs with the car are not fixed and I refuse to take it back to these crooks. Save your money and go to Napa or even Firestone. Will be cheaper and they will tell you the real problem.

The cashier helped me recheck the level because it read ZERO! Discussing if I could put a non synthetic oil, 2 other gentleman stepped into help, saying yes I could temporarily to get me to Bob Brown ,where Matt worked in Finance. He said they could have me in and out in 15 min. He was not only right, he even paid for my oil at the gas station!! HOW NICE IS THAT!

I recently bought a car from the Bob Brown Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) lot in Ankeny, Iowa. I left with the impression that the vehicle had been placed on the CPO lot, due to it having passed the CPO requirements. I was on the Chevrolet website and was looking at the warranty information and found the CPO page. The warranty information listed several CPO warranties that I was not made aware of. I attempted to contact the Used Car Sales Manager but was told he was busy, so I left a message, to which I never received a return call, as expected. I went to dealership, Saturday, April 11th, to clarify the CPO warranties. I talked to a Sales Manager, who didn't identify himself and attempted to talk to him about this issue. I was told that only certain vehicles were CPO to save the customers the pass on costs to do a CPO. I pointed out that I bought the car there and pointed out the Bob Brown Certified Previously Owned sign at the corner of the lot. He stated that it wasn't GM policy to certify all cars, but it was Bob Brown Chevrolet's decision which ones to do a CPO on. He looked up the auto I purchased and stated that my auto was not CPO. He stated that I could tell if it was by the Bob Brown license plate, as it would say "Certified" on it. I asked to speak to his Manager and was told he had gone home for the weekend. I feel that I was deceived by the CPO signage at the used auto lot, by not being told that the auto I purchased was not a CPO. The automatic inclusion in my paperwork of a "policy" to cover Bumper-to-Bumper when my warranty expired in three months, the misinformation about the CPO identification on the vehicles and the overall deception on the part of the dealership to enforce a non-existent CPO program, conceived to mislead the general public. Yes, I found on the Bob Brown website a "few" CPO listed vehicles, primarily large SUV's and trucks, apparently ones that nobody wants without a CPO as an incentive to buy. I want this matter corrected, and will do what I can to correct this mismanagement policy, no matter what.
