I just purchased a 2020 Chevy Suburban from Bob Brown Chevrolet and my experience was horrible. We have purchased and leased cars from Bob Brown over the last 10+ years. We are very loyal customers and we always returned to the same salesman Irwin Zuckerman. I asked for a 2020 suburban that matched our current one. Irwin has access to the build sheet of our current suburban and he sent me a build sheet for the 2020 model. I looked it over and it seemed like it was correct. It is hard to fully visualize the details on a build sheet but I trusted him. That was my mistake. When we came to pick it up we noticed it was similar but not the same. I admit I could have done things differently and I asked Irwin for assistance in fixing the issue. Never once did Irwin apologize or take any responsibility for his part in the miscommunication. I asked Irwin if he could do something for us since this is not what we wanted but he never acknowledged or responded to my request. When I called him out on it he said that was the best price he could do. There was no discount issued or discussed. Irwin went on to say that he repeatedly tried to get us to come in and look at the vehicle but we were too busy. That is a complete lie and I lost all trust in him. This type of behavior is unacceptable and and shows a lack of integrity. Irwin is more interested in collecting a commission check than to help customers. Because of Irwin s actions and lack of integrity and accountability I will not be doing business with Bob Brown again. I am writing this to warn others and if you decide to do business with them please stay away from Irwin!!!

Both times my car has needed service they ve gone above and beyond for me. I had a small emergency and needed my daily driver looked at ASAP - Even with limited staff on this particular day, Doug got my car in first thing, diagnosed, and repaired in a few hours. They even made sure I was covered with a loaner car, no charge. Bonus: two free premium car washes because I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for paperwork. This is service.

I have always had respect for Bob Brown. I have now bought 2 vehicles from them. Both vehicles have spent more time in the service department than on the road. As the son of a GM Employee/Mechanic I've bought 14 cars in my lifetime and always worked with Chevrolet Dealerships. Bob Brown is the worst I have ever dealt with. And it isn't like I haven't given them a chance. 2 cars bought since 2012, 2 different vehicles in accidents (my truck and my wife's car) sent in for body repair, and I always take my vehicles to Bob Brown for service. I expect smaller dealerships and private dealerships to scam you, but lately Bob Brown has been as well. Do NOT buy used cars from them. They are riddled with issues that are merely covered up. (Example- current purchase was inspected before purchase for low coolant, no leak found according to service tech (before sale, so no reason to fix right?) Day one after purchase I notice coolant drips on my garage floor and have to have the water pump replaced. Your tech really couldn't find the leak the day before? Or they just didn't care? Or they found it but covered it up hoping it wouldn't show until after the warranty period.) I recently had problems with burnt transmission fluid and issues to which Bob Brown said "There isn't a problem". The used vehicle you sold me has less than 40,000 miles. In 1 week of owning the vehicle that had a 126 point "Award Winning Service Check to ensure the quality of your vehicle", I have had to have the water pump replaced, PCV Valve replaced, Front Crank Seal replaced, and now Transmission issues. I hate bringing my car in every few days for repairs as much as you Bob Brown hate having to have that done. Sadly Customer Service isn't a strong point nor is their desire for return customers. You either get a service person that doesn't speak to you the whole time you are there, or you get one that is passive aggressive and treats you as if you are stupid. Being 38 years old I have a lot of car buying in my future. I've never had issues with Pella Motors (Craig the owner is outstanding), but since they are so far from Grimes, Shottenkirk is my new dealership. I share this to hopefully spare others the issues I've had. True, there is always a risk with used cars, but 2 for 2 from Bob Brown, and not minor things either. There are better dealerships around.

After the repair I noticed rattling when I would go over sharp bumps or washboards, and I knew it didn't sound like that before. After several different attempts to locate the problem, I noticed the rattling didn't occur when braking. I checked the brake caliper, and your mechanic didn't put the bolts back in for the caliper! You should ask him if he has a couple extra bolts left over from the repair! I'm not too happy with that.

If you're looking for a chevy, don't look anywhere else! And be sure to ask for Irwin Zuckerman. He's got great product knowledge and is extremely helpful. We've worked with him multiple times and always return because of the top quality service we receive.

My boyfriend and I had a horrible customer experience with Bob Brown Chevrolet. The first time we went in, we weren't greeted or acknowledged at all. As first time car buyers, we wanted to learn more about a few specific models... and the salesmen made us feel we were wasting their time. We're young, in our 20's, and we think this played into the factor. The second time we went in, we wanted to test drive a Silverado, and we had a positive experience with salesman Steve... yet when we tried to call him back after the test drive to move forward in the buying process he never called us back (and we left him 4 voicemails over the span of three days).

We went in again, still interested in the truck and had Chris as our salesman. Not only did he answer personal calls while meeting with us, he didn't make us feel comfortable as first time car buyers, and was snarky about us calling our parents for advice. Once we actually made the purchase, Chris was done with us - saying that he was "too busy" with other customers and left us standing there waiting for no one to come help us finish the process. Lastly, my boyfriend bought a special package, specifically for the bed liner and the top coat for the truck. When he got that done, they sprayed the top coat but completely forgot to do the bed liner... so he'll have to take even more time out of his week to bring his truck back.

There were aspects of our visit that were positive - The price of the truck was great and they were able to hold it for us until we were ready to buy it about two weeks later. Unfortunately our whole experience was overshadowed by the lack of respect the dealership had shown towards us. With multiple Chevy dealerships in the area, we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. You'd think a dealership would make more effort to treat their younger customers with respect to create lifetime loyalty. With Bob Brown, this was not the case.

Just bought a nice little SUV from Pat Crane. He was very easy to work with and didn't pressure me at all. He did a good job of following-up on my purchase and getting a second key made for me - it took about five minutes.
I am very satisfied with my experience at Bob Brown and would recommend the dealership and Pat to anyone.

Great experience with Bob Brown Chevrolet and my salesman, Mike McNeley. They worked with me to get the best price to beat out local competition on a Chevy Cruse RS. They gave me a dealer car to use for a week free of charge, no hassles, while they got my car ready for me. They were very trusting and lenient and worked with my schedule for pick-up as I am an out of town customer. I felt like they went the extra mile to earn my business while working out a deal via text, email and/or phone calls. Hopefully the car lives up to the quality of service provided at the dealership!

On this visit I just needed a spare key made. The Parts Department took care of me. I have bought both new and used cars from Bob Brown. They usually don't give me quite what I want for my trade in. But, they are the best dealership I have ever used overall. My wife and I usually trade-in a couple of vehicles a year at multiple dealerships. We have made a lot of vehicle transactions and these folks take care of us in all aspects. They may not be perfect, but have to be close and know how to treat the customer right.

Oil change was about twice as much as other places. Asked about a spare key (mine doesn't have a chip). Was told $50 but there is no guarantee that it will work. My guarantee is that I won't be going back.

My boyfriend is self employed and Bob Brown pulled his credit 20-some times in order to get him financed. This caused his credit score to drop over 150 points. It has taken him years to repair his credit. I get that you were trying to get him approved for a car. It s tough being a small business owner; however, I don t care what the situation is; you should never pull someone s credit that many times without letting them know beforehand! I will never buy a car from this shady business.

There was a recall on my Chevy Trax. Since I was going a a very long vacation driving all the way, John helped find the parts and get them put on my car before my trip and took only about a half day to get it all done. They brought me to work after I dropped the car off and didn't have to miss much work time either!! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. GREAT JOB BOB BROWN CHEVROLET!!!

I have had two good experiences here at Bob Brown, maybe 4.
I have been here for 2 oil changes with separate cars and I have recently purchased a Used car here. The salesperson was very nice, facilities are very nice and they were good on my trade. I did have warranty still on my car i traded that helped. I wanted out of my car because of issue with the engine and since under warranty I could have gone through long service and then been without a long warranty, but they worked me into a similar car at a good price.

My lady brought her Chevrolet equinox in to get her muffler fixed they quoted her $1250.00 for the repair. She called me up upset about the cost I told her not let them fix it we took her car to midas and got the same job done for $325.00. So here's the deal Bob brown we bought the car from you and then you tried to steal money from us. We were getting all the services done there but never again!!! We will never ever do business with your dealership and when we are ready to buy again we will be going to one of your competitors... i guess the stories I've heard about iowa mechanics ripping women off were true.

I like Bob Brown, but their customer service is horrible. Every time I call someone has to call me back and I don't hear anything all day and I have to call the next day again. Its been an issue every since they moved to the new location. Also, their chat service is useless, they never answer any questions and once again someone will call you back, and guess what happens......, no one calls you back. Here I am again calling them two days in a row just to see which recalls have been done on my vehicle. I hope someone from Bob Brown reads this and does something about this issue.

This is the 2nd new vehicle we ve purchased from B...

This is the 2nd new vehicle we ve purchased from Bob Brown. Our experience was good the first time but absolutely AMAZING this time around!

I called in one day about 3-4 weeks ago and Calvin answered the phone. I let him know we were interested in trading in our old truck for a new one. Calvin asked if we wanted to come in that same day and I quickly replied yes and now if possible. He told us to come on in.

We got there and there was another customer waiting to see Calvin right in front of us. He did his best to help us both even though it was hectic. He took us both down to get appraisals on our vehicles and even made time to take us around the lot to look at new trucks!

We didn t find one we liked that day so Calvin took the time to ask specific questions to understand exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately you guys didn t have anything on the lot that met our needs.

Calvin searched high and low and as far out as 500 miles to find us the exact truck we wanted. He stayed in contact with me daily to give me updates and to talk through different trucks and the status of them!

It took a long three weeks but Calvin was able to get us the truck of our dreams that is the perfect truck for my husband and his business. The truck is immaculate and beautiful! Exactly what my husband wanted and more.

Calvin was the best sales representative we ve ever had purchasing a vehicle! He was up front and honest, he wanted to find us a truck we would love and worked so hard to do that. He stayed in touch with us throughout the process and even after we purchased the vehicle!

You ve got an amazing employee with Calvin! I will definitely be using him for our next new purchase! He will be my salesman for life if he stays in the field! He is the reason Bob Brown will our dealership for life!

I have been looking to upgrade to a newer vehicle and had contacted several dealership by email. The people at Bob Brown emailed me back right away and it was not a computer generated email it was a real person. Jason
went above and beyond to put me in my dream vehicle. To the point of staying in contact with me when he was not at work. Happy friendly not pushy or aggressive.

It was hands down the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle.

This dealership is all about customer satisfaction.

I would highly recommend going here they will work very hard to put you in the vehicle you want

Bought two brand new cars in December. Set up appointment a week in advance for a hitch to be installed and oil change. Arrived at appointment and parts were not ordered for hitch, so was told I had to return a different day. Then when the hitch was installed, the cover was not in stock so I was asked to return again another time. I was told it would be a "quick snap in cover" so I arrived at 7am to find out it was a hour long wait to get the part finished. Absolutely the worst customer service I have seen in my 21 years owning Chevy vehicles, three of which I bought brand new. The fact I paid full price after all the screw ups is astonishing. I know for sure where my next new vehicle will not be bought.

Let me start by saying I did not buy my truck from Bob Browns. At the time I was looking and ready to buy I found the truck I wanted at another dealership. Fast forward 1 year and 1 day. MAJOR breakdown. Not a great experience dealing with the extended warranty people, OR GM waiting on parts. BUT Art Watson, Bob Lundy and service tech Randy did an amazing job, going above and beyond, treating me as if I had bought the truck from Bob Browns. I totally appreciate their efforts and I will definitely be back to Bob Browns for my next vehicle, and any service I can't (or dont want to) do myself.

If I could give a negative review for their customer service I would. Absolutely awful service experience and I would highly recommend going anywhere else or even not getting service done, as your vehicle will actually leave in worse condition than it arrived in.

I am so pleased with the service I ve received from Bob Brown. I was having some sudden car issues and arrived at the services garages at the dealership without having been able to make an appointment beforehand. I was immediately greeted and directed to one of the offices to get checked in. The gentleman who assisted me gathered all of the information he needed about my car and sent me over to the front desk to get me a loaner car (which was no cost besides the $7 I paid to top off the gas). I was at the dealership for less than 20 minutes. Despite not having had made an appointment, my car was completely fixed and ready the very next morning. I am so impressed with this dealership and how customer-oriented they are, which can be hard to come by at many dealerships. I highly recommended their service department.

Bob Brown Chevorlet have always been wonderful to my husband and me. When my husband FINALLY went to get a new car, they let him take home a car he was interested in because his old car was in such a hazardous condition. They showed that they really cared about him and not just a sale. We ended up buying the car and have been very happy since! We also love getting our oil changed here. I often feel pressured by other quick lubes but the mechanics here just like to give me options. I appreciate that there is no pressure to fix my car there. I will forever make car purchases with Bob Brown!
