I was given an iMac by a relative who could not recall his password. I wasn't sure if it was possible to reset and then be able to use the computer. I went to WestWorld for advice. The staff indicated that they may be able to reset however the data on the computer would likely be erased. I told them to proceed. A couple of days later the job was done. The staff were knowledgeable, the store was well laid out and clean, parking was great and I found their prices reasonable. They also sell iPhones and I noticed they were selling an iMac similar year to mine for $499.00. Much easier to access this store and quicker service than the Apple store in West Edmonton Mall.

When trying to update my Mac to Catalina, I encountered a problem and wasn't able to log on to my computer. After contacting Apple support (via phone) and trying several things to recover it, I was told I likely would lose my data. Upon a recommendation from friends, I brought it to Westworld and when Karl looked at it, he knew there was a corrupt file from the update. Karl and Ray diagnosed and fixed it to perfect working condition very efficiently. I am very happy with the expertise and service I received.

The staff in the service department at WestWorld are second to none. Our iPhone 6s had recently stopped working, showing the "white screen of death". The phone appeared to be beyond repair, but the staff didn't give up on it and eventually performed a hard reset and got it working again. To top it all off, they didn't charge us for their time and effort. We highly recommend them, and will definitely go back here for all future repairs and purchases.

Very disappointed with the service a received at W...

Very disappointed with the service a received at WestWorld. They quoted me around $1,800 to fix my Mac and i felt they were just trying to get me to purchase a new one from them. I went and go a second opinion from a Mac Specialist and they were able to fix the problem for $250. With that being said i will not be giving them any of my business nor would i recommend them. I would recommend getting a second opinion on anything you bring to them.

Westworld has been in the business of selling and ...

Westworld has been in the business of selling and supporting Apple products longer than Apple has I've been a customer since the early 1990s. Their employees probably have more collective experience than all of the Apple Stores combined.
This is also where most of the other local Apple retailers send all their repair jobs (including warranty work).

I know one sale probally wont mean much to you but I'm very upset. My 19 yr old daughter has gone into your store twice now set to either buy a ipad or computer for school. Your staff have essentially talked her out of. The first one, did right and asked her to double check with the school but 2 wks later todays staff pretty much refused to sell to her. And proceeded to show them his facebook page to say I know better. What is your people on comission? This was cash sale no credit check nothing she has the money! Child and father walked out and are now in west Edmonton mall apple store. Thanks for causing an anxiety attack. I dont think we will be back!

Shady business practices. Higher prices than apple and different return policies. My family made a big mistake dealing with these guys. Also have ridiculously high charge for any repair work.

I went in looking for some screws for my MacBook Pro and I was there for maybe 5 minutes? Brand new screws, fixed all of my keyboard and track pad issues and all with no charge. Definitely the best customer service and best place in Edmonton to get your Mac fixed up.

I have been going to Westworld Computers for about 10 yrs now. They are a great place to buy Apple (IOS) products but you still have to do your returns at the Apple Store at West Edmonton Mall (WEM). One of the things i love about Westworld is that they will purchase your old Apple products. IE: Want an new iPad, take the old one and trade it in on it. You get a little bit of money for something that would just lay around anyways.

I had a thoroughly unpleasant experience dealing with Mr. Daryl Harr, General Manager, WestWorld Computers, Edmonton. We have purchased a number of computers from WWC over the years. On this occasion we brought in a computer that had been purchased at WWC, died before the 3 year warranty period expired, was basically rebuilt by replacing major components, and then it died 10 months later. I was not happy and expressed my displeasure. Mr. Harr did not like that. The attitude was the warranty period is over, the 90 day repair warranty period is over, and oh by the way move into the 21st century and face the fact that you will have to replace your computer every three years or so because you cannot expect them to last forever. Is that really the new business philosophy of the Apple Corporation?I will not be doing business with WWC ever again and I would suggest that others consider the many other Apple dealers in Edmonton. I encountered the same kind of attitude that is commented on in the other one star reviews that have been posted in regard to WWC. It was obvious that there was absolutely no interest in providing any kind of compensation for the aggravation of having to deal with a substandard
product and substandard repairs. The only realistic option was to buy a new computer and hope that the usual quality is there.

I took my Macbook to WestWorld to get a quote and proper diagnostic. I explained that it has a black screen when it boots and that there is an error message that comes up. The representative helping me said that the error report wasn't useful information. This is the first red flag since the error stated there was a problem with the GPU which I had established before going into the store. I let the representative know and they proceeded to run their own diagnostic tools which determined it was in fact a GPU problem. They then gave me a quote for a band new logic board costing around $2000-2500 dollars. I asked them why they couldn't check to see if the GPU was repairable on the board. The representative then told me it was IMPOSSIBLE because it is soldered onto the board and compared it to having a broken screen that needed to be replaced.
I understand that WestWorld probably doesn't go as far as repairing logic boards and, similar to the Apple store, would benefit more in time and money by replacing the entire board, but please do not misinform customers by telling them a fried component on the board is analogous to a broken LCD display. I am currently getting it repaired by a specialist that has diagnosed the root cause of the problem for free. The service from the third party cost me about $400 which includes warranty on the repair.

My iPhone 10 had an audio issue where I could only hear calls on speaker. I booked my appointment online - even showed up late, but the employee at the counter assured me he likely had a resolution for me that would be same day service. I came back in the 25 minutes he told me to, phone worked! While my issue may have been a simple one, it was still frustrating to me that the Apple Store was going to take my phone for the entire day, meanwhile WestWorld had me in & out on my lunch hour. If you hate line ups, lack of empathy and need an Apple product serviced, I would highly recommend WestWorld.

My sister's computer overheats a lot recently. I suggested she bring it in to apple for applecare to figure out why she is literally burning her skin.
Apple's wait time is a week to get in, so I book her an appointment here, at WestWorld Computers Edmonton.

When she went in to pick it up, she was told they were unable to reproduce the issue (it happens all the time. Protip: take videos of issues before heading in).
However, she was told that she had to pay a ~$110 diagnostic fee for their time?!? She called me on speakerphone because she was intimidated by the situation.

I asked her if she agreed to such a fee; she said no.
I asked her if they told her about this charge; she said no.
I asked the tech for evidence she signed to approve this charge; they provided the attached paperwork. (which says nothing about fees)
I told them I was frustrated and would have never sent her here if I knew this practice.
The tech then went and 'talked to the manager' and came back and decided to waive the fee.

I am upset at this because (a) apple should not be referring customers to third party companies that do not have the same business practices, (b) this company tried to intimidate my sister into paying to get her property back, (c) they had no documentation showing she knew about or approved any fees, and (d) they took longer than apple would have in the first place.

I am giving two stars since they relented on their poor decision so quickly; but you need to know that the Apple store will treat you better and give you better service and support than WestWorld Computers will; and it is a few blocks south.

I would highly recommend WestWorld Computers. I had an older MacBook that suddenly died and I thought I lost all of my information. Thank god I brought it to them because they were able to extract everything off of the hard drive and transfer the files to a new external hard drive. I am over the moon excited especially since I was told from other places that there was a slim chance that it would work. They are a wonderful staff and the completed the transfer in a timely manner! Thank you so much!!

My advisor was Dakota, which provided amazing service. He was always extremely nice, extremely positive, and he always kept me up to date. But i am very disappointed about my wait time. My device has been there since February 25th. I understand that not everything went well, but i think things could have been escalated faster.

Experienced staff and not scared to refer you outside their store if they don't have the product you need. Honesty and a good selection of products. You are not going to find deals on Apple. And buying Apple accessories online is a crapshoot.
Staff is friendly and will help you get what you need, not what makes money.

I decided to try this Place to take my 4k Apple tv Was not dissapointed, one of the friendly Receptionist and, the techs took the time to look at the issue and listen to what I have to say!, It was having Ethernet and Remote Issues, so i left it there Thursday Night, By Tuesday the replacement Apple TV and Remote was already there, When i went to apple Store in West Edmonton Mall, they never replaced my stuff for me, when i HAD Apple care all they did was send me home, So im glad i went here and ill defiantly come back with all my apple products and issues!! End of an era - Over the past 15 years I have purchased almost every device from Westworld Edmonton and was never let down...until today. I went in with my wife, computers in hand (as a trade in) ready to purchase a Macbook Air, Macbook pro 16" and an iPad pro for home schooling. We were greeted friendly enough and told to wait in the sales area. We waited for about 10 mins for anyone to approach us with no one even paying us a second. 2 other patrons arrived in the store and one was directed to the same area we were in. Finally, one sales person came up into the area and immediately went to the customer who arrived after us! Very disappointing, so we went to the Apple store in West Ed and within 7 mins we were talking to a salesperson and within 30 mins we had purchased all of our devices. I have shown a commitment to a local business for a long time but apparently local has lost its sense of service.

Apple wont let u drop off ur mac/phone whenever you have to schedule a meeting.
This is why I chose west world. bmckenzie was the tech on my mac. he did an amazing job even noticed my battery was also failing so he had that replaced with my original order of a screen replacement.(700$ for anyone curious lol)
I wanted to tip him for a job well done but your not aloud :(
10/10 would recommend to a friend !!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Spend your money anywhere else. I would have given them no stars if it was possible. First, they charge more for Apple products because they have better service . Let me tell you, they don t. I purchased two iPhone X s, new MacBook Pro and multiple accessories including a phone case which broke after 5 months (the phone case company has a year warranty). I called multiple times and never received a call back. I then went into the store and they said they were dealing with the distributor because that phone case was no longer carried and they d call me back with options. Fast forward two months and no call and no returned calls. Customer service is hit and miss. BUY DIRECT FROM APPLE AND SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY.

They had a small discount on a computer. Service took much longer than I had hoped. They are the hardest people to get a hold of by phone. The phone will ring and ring and ring... They don't typically return your messages either. For the convenience next time I will go to Apple. (only saved $300 on a $1400 computer).

This is the place to go of you have an apple product in edmonton. No lines, no waiting for assistance and a great selection of items on offer. The staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant as well as always available. As far as I can tell they offer all the same services as the apple store without the crowds, waiting time and annoyance. Warranty service is covered here too. I highly recommend going here rather than the alternatives.

I don't want to rant but long story short, we were disappointed once again lack of stock, lack of follow up to let me know what was going on with my delayed order, nobody returned my call multiple times. I wont go back ever. Apple store all the way. No comparison at all.

Later that day I went in and was pleasantly surprised that everything I was quoted for price and the time it would take to do the work was 100% accurate. Very friendly staff that greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in. Definitely recommend them.

Amazing, informative service staff! We took our Mac in there in a last ditch effort to reset to sell, and we managed to find a way to increase speed and memory - an option we didn t know we had! It s like we have a brand new computer. We were also told the upgrades would take a week, and less than 4 hours later they called saying the repairs were done! So awesome and friendly, and they even gave us a box to carry our imac to go home. Will definitely be going back!

10/10 would recommend West World for any individual or business looking for somewhere to purchase or service their Apple products and accessories. (and not only because they share their name with a wicked cool HBO series)
Go to West World If you want to deal with knowledgeable staff who know their stuff & if you appreciate good customer service. Oh yeah, and if you like to shop in a comfortable atmosphere where you can browse the newest technology, in a nice open showroom, this is the place to go!

I am a new customer to west world and want to share my experience,
I had been looking all over the city for a stylus to use on my ipad, so that I could start creating digital art. After checking visions, best buy, futureshop, and even Walmart, I still couldn t find a professional stylus anywhere.. Although I could have ordered one on amazon and it would have been at my doorstep within 2-3 days, I did not want to wait! As a last effort at getting a stylus here in Edmonton, I called West world.

The sales rep was courteous, friendly, and explained they did have a couple of options for me! And at a great price too! He helped me decide on the right stylus for me, and even offered to put one aside in my color preference. A few hours later I came into the store, and instead of asking for the sales rep, I accidentally mixed up his name and asked for Daryl. There happened to be a Daryl there, who was busy in the service department at the time. I waited until he was free, when he came to greet me I realized that I had mixed up the names, and felt awful and silly! I had kept the sales rep waiting, and took time out of the General Managers day. Even though I am sure I inconvenienced them- Daryl and his team were friendly, understanding and put me as ease right away.

So, based on the care and attention that was given to me, a customer purchasing a $50 stylus.. I would say these guys are definitely customer service focussed, they have a great team and would be able to assist you with whatever purchasing or servicing needs you may have, (even if you mix up their names.)

I went there to find out if they could fix my older imac for a pretty easy fix... They wouldn't even look at my computer ... What a useless place .. I will let people know not to bother going there! Very dissappointed to say the least as it is a apple repair facility.

This used to be, by far, the best place in town in...

This used to be, by far, the best place in town in terms of service and it was 'the' place to find advice that you could trust; but in the past two years it's been overrun by staff who talk in circles and do what ever they can, including making stuff up, to get you out of their face. There are still a few super stars in the place but you really need to seek them out. The service techs do really good work if you can actually get to them but the people on the floor make that a bit impossible. I have a soft spot for this place and would love to give it a five star rating again some day in the future.

Terrible service with a condescending attitude. Bought a used MacBook Pro from them 2 months ago and the hard drive failed. It took them 3 days to diagnose the issue. I had to call repeatedly throughout the week to get information about the progress of the diagnosis/repair updates because they never honored their word and called when they said they would call. They received my computer on a Monday morning and by Friday afternoon my computer was still not repaired. My understanding is it only takes 15 minutes to switch out a hard drive. I learned this from talking with a friend about the terrible experience I was having with my computer repair. I usually like to shop local and support local businesses. I also usually do not write reviews of complaint but their service was so extraordinarily poor that I felt it necessary to write a review in case it can save anyone else from ever setting foot in their place of business. I will only deal directly with Apple Stores from now on. I learned through this experience "Apple Authorized" means very little.

If you like extraordinarily poor service with a condescending attitude this is your kinda place. If not, stay away from West World.

I would rate Westworld Computers very high on customer service, knowledge and stock. I have bought 2 Imac's and 1 Macook plus several peripherals and have not been disappointed in service, friendliness or knowledge.....the only place to go!!!!

I attempted to contact the business via telephone three times to have my computer's operating system updated. The first frustration was that no one answered the phone, in spite of three separate attempts. I left voicemails on each telephone attempt, however, no one returned my calls. Direct messaging was an option, so I opted for this route, hoping for a reply. However, to no avail, in spite of two attempts. WestWorld's failure to reply to me led to a huge waste of my time. Their failure to reply to me suggests my business is not important. I will not only take my business elsewhere, but will not recommend WestWorld to anyone moving forward.

When my MB Pro crashed I made the mistake of taking it to a shop on Whyte. Had to wait two days for a new HD to get shipped in. (WestWorld had it in stock) They recovered my data but did not BU from my Time Machine; they didn't even ask for it, so I tried the BU myself only to get an Epic Fail.
I phoned WestWord that night, spoke with a super helpful technician and went in the next morning. I was greeted at the door, a technician spent 15 minutes with me and he immediately
new what the new problem was. He started to work on it right away and I had my Macbook back the way it was before the crash. I cannot say enough about the excellent service and people that work there. Beware of those Boutique shops. WestWorld rocks.

Terrible customer service. I called in about a broken display on my iMac. The tech told me it would be $250 to fix it. When I get there it is suddenly $700 to fix it, that is, if it can be fixed at all.
The guy treated me like I was an idiot.
I promptly left.

Ordered a discounted phone off their website and was delivered the wrong phone. Visited the store to get the order fix, and found out that their website had a pricing error. However, the manager was nice enough to honour the price, and ended up letting me switch the phones to what I originally bought. This isn't the type of service you'd get from Apple themselves, and I'd definitely recommend making the trip out to WestWorld for any of your Apple needs.

Do not go to them for anything apple just go to the apple store, they completely ripped my poor grandma off for a software issue and the guy just had to change her password they charged her $45 because she didn t know any better. THATS INSANE. 10/10 would not recommend I called to try and get that justified and they were so unhelpful the employee Dylan that helped her was sassy and rude and chuckled and the manager on the other hand was kind I ll give him that but was very unsympathetic because all they want is money.

Cant remember the name of the guy at the service d...

Cant remember the name of the guy at the service desk but I brought my phone in to get the charging port replaced as my phone stopped charging despite me trying to clear it of any lint or dirt. So I was confident that wasn't the issue. He took a look at it and told me it was very compacted pocket lint and he had a special tool to get it out. I never mentioned dirt or lint in the charging port so he easily could have taken my money and replaced the port and I wouldn't have been any wiser but he didn't, he was honest and cleared it up and didn't charge me a dime for his time. Also when I walked in, the gentleman at the front desk was also super friendly and professional. I see a lot of bad reviews for this place but I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for good service.

I will never go back to this place. They supposedly fixed the computer twice but it wasn't ready both times I went in to pick it up. They told me they would put in a certain part, but later I discovered the part was not available, so they subbed with another and didn't bother to tell me. They gave me multiple excuses and wasted a lot of my time and charge me a lot on top of it. Don't go there.
