Every segment is different, which can make it frustrating. My first flight was mostly okay the new bag checkin Lady was sweet. The gate crew friendly and helpful. The pilots sincere. And all but one flight attendant were great. But that one, who either hasn t had human touching in a while, or had a pole up her arse, is what hurts a potentially great airline. So consider the one angry lady checking tickets at the door for a Walmart greeter and you ll have better reviews I bet!!

I ve been flying with Quantas a lot over the last few years and they ve been mostly very good! The entertainment is great and you get everything you need like a blanket, pillows and etc. the staff are friendly and professional. It s usually a seamless experience from purchasing tickets and getting off the plane at your destination. One of my favourite airlines!

Tried to contact them and got a recorded message there would be a 2 hour wait time. left a call back message and was informed I would not lose my place in the queue. 5 hours later no call so I called again and stayed on hold for 1.5 hours. Finally got through to India and had to ask the 'representative' up to 4 times each answer for her to repeat herself as I had no clue what she was saying. Eventually solved the issue and 2 hours later got the call back from the initial message. Great work Australia's leading airline. FYI will never choose Qantas again.

Qantas is a world-class airline in both its domestic and international operations.
It has come a very long way from the very early Qantas / TAA / Ansett days and competes (successfully) with well regarded carriers in our part of the world.

Very disappointed with Qantas's misleading booking...

Very disappointed with Qantas's misleading booking system. The website actively encourages you to use points to reduce the cost of your flight and at same time offers a "price promise" if you find the same flight somewhere else cheaper. What they aren't up front about is that you can't use both together. Doesn't matter that I only got $70 off using points and the flight was $470 cheaper elsewhere. The best part? To cancel the flight would cost $800. So they've screwed me every which way. Thanks a lot for being as shifty and unethical as possible! You've lost a customer for life!

Although generally dearer to use, they beat the budget airlines and in flight internet is a great asset. So nice to get food and a drink on the plane included in the price. One the better economy flyers out their.

On the 4th of September, I was supposed to fly wit...

On the 4th of September, I was supposed to fly with another airline from Melbourne to Venice, however, when I got to Melbourne airport I found out that my surname hadn t been written correctly and, having booked with an online agency that as part of their policy doesn t let you make any changes to your name, I was forced to book another flight on the spot if I wanted to go ahead with my holiday.

The ticket, being last minute, was over $2.2k, and giving that the airline I was supposed to fly with had allowance for 2 x 23kg suitcases, I had to pay extra for my second suitcase that I obviously didn t want to dump at the airport.

The flight itself has costed me a fair bit, considering it was booked literally last minute, and I was devastated and not in the right mindset to fly, however flying with Qantas has been quite pleasant.
When our lunch was served, I was surprised how good the garlic and herb focaccia tasted, it was like it had just been baked.
I quite enjoyed the nasi goreng, I wish it was mentioned on the menu that it was a bit spicy, but still quite good.
The staff was very polite, professional, positive and lots of good vibes going around.

Amazing choice of movies, and I liked how before the movie commenced, it would say on the screen how long ads run for (1 or 2 minutes) so you re prepared.

I also realised after I left the aircraft that I had misplaced my Invisalign, just the bottom retainer, so I walked back. All passengers were going and the staff was leaving too, but a lovely lady walked back with me, took the seat apart, and found it. I wish I took a note of her name, it might have been Lauren.

I will definitely fly with Qantas again, highly recommended.

QF3 and 4 Sydney to Honolulu. Old planes, terrible food and service. Then they don t send the bags all the way through to Melb. At the Re check your bags depot there where about 200 people being serviced by 4 staff and then there was 1 security lane open. What a bad end to the holiday, and to think we are supposed to be in a modern country Called Australia. Very disappointed.

When you need to go somewhere - they are very handy to have around. My favourite airline (most of the time). They have lost some of the customer service edge they had, but I think they are slowly getting it back.

Don t ever try and call them to get help. Horrendous business model. I called them at 7:30pm and they called me back at midnight.... seriously Qantas. You re already a rort with prices you could at least invest into customer service

I have 3/4 of an hour before my family and I, jump...

I have 3/4 of an hour before my family and I, jump on a plane from Melb to Cairns.
Being a member of Qantas Club I'm thinking let's spend time there, before moving down to board.
Only to be stopped from going in as my wife's elderly parents are not members.
I can leave them outside and come in, but they can't come in.
I understand there are rules and I did offer to pay for them, whatever that would of cost for 30 mins, but Qantas would rather turn away loyal members, than allow 2 elderly people who were flying with me, in case they may of consumed too much tea.
I wasn't trying to get my son's basketball team in.
Geez Qantas some customer service.
I pay good money to be a member, and your representative was happy to see the back of 3 members on account of 2 senior citizens.

Having recently changed jobs, I am travelling much more and I still think Qantas is the best choice. Customer service seems to have picked up, particularly on board. I don't get to choose when I fly for work but I do choose Qantas when I fly my family.

Had the displeasure of traveling Qantas from Hong Kong to Sydney on the airbus A330. Has to be hands down the worst flight ever. As a UK traveler I am used to Ryanair and easyJet but this Qantas was by far the worst.
Boarding at the gate was a shambles but boarded relatively quickly.
Service was shocking crew were very tired and it showed. Food selection was pitiful and a poor excuse.
Facilities were disgusting and never cleaned on the whole 9 hr flight. My chair 36D was broken and would not stay in a fixed position to lay back.
The seat space to relax in was small cramped and reminded me of easyJet or Ryanair.
Seat was not comfortable and the headphone jack did not work.
Screen size was small and not very responsive.
Positive was the easy transfer to domestic terminal.
I promised never to fly Qantas again in 2003 and I thought they had changed but clearly the economy passenger is not a priority or concern for them.

Terrible experience. All automated machines with unclear and unhelpful instructions, only 1 staff member to help all the people, and she had a broken arm I felt sorry for her being alone at 9am during busy time. Completely under staffed. Qantas needs to lift their game and hire more people to help.

Terrible money grabbing airline. After flying with them exclusively for the most of my adult life, I feel forced to boycott them with this current and most recent experience because of how upsetting it is. (I am in tears as I write this!) ...basically there is no kind of management or service person that can help me with my issue, only an email address to send my feedback to. I can t wait to go home. I spent $1500 to do a return trip from Melbourne to Brisbane and needed to change the date to go back a day early yesterday and was downgraded to economy class, I had come early to do some work in the lounge but there is no understanding, no graces, no apologies, no attempt to even help me, only the blanket response about terms and conditions, from all staff. Absolute thief s. I ll be cancelling my #frequentflyers and will never fly #qantas again.
