I had a thoroughly unpleasant experience dealing with Mr. Daryl Harr, General Manager, WestWorld Computers, Edmonton. We have purchased a number of computers from WWC over the years. On this occasion we brought in a computer that had been purchased at WWC, died before the 3 year warranty period expired, was basically rebuilt by replacing major components, and then it died 10 months later. I was not happy and expressed my displeasure. Mr. Harr did not like that. The attitude was the warranty period is over, the 90 day repair warranty period is over, and oh by the way move into the 21st century and face the fact that you will have to replace your computer every three years or so because you cannot expect them to last forever. Is that really the new business philosophy of the Apple Corporation?I will not be doing business with WWC ever again and I would suggest that others consider the many other Apple dealers in Edmonton. I encountered the same kind of attitude that is commented on in the other one star reviews that have been posted in regard to WWC. It was obvious that there was absolutely no interest in providing any kind of compensation for the aggravation of having to deal with a substandard
product and substandard repairs. The only realistic option was to buy a new computer and hope that the usual quality is there.
