I called Westlake financial services to pay my car note and was blessed to talk with a Representative named Treana she was very patient and helpful. I love good customer service thanks!

worst company ever. unable to process transactions...

worst company ever. unable to process transactions, pay late fees in 2016 and been charge again in 2019. try to wave this as the error was made by their employee and they wanted charge me more than what I owed, even when I was trying to pay the balance in full. I spoke with 3 different agent and the supervisor jose vega was not able to solve the situation with the late fees that were going to be credited to the account. try to speak with a Manager and Jose said the manager had same credential as the supervisor. BAD!BAD!BAD!!!

tl;dr
Repoed 2 hours ago, my $3500 '08 Fit was held hostage at a NON-NEGOTIABLE 19% interest rate! IT. CANNOT. BE. LOWERED. That's DOUBLE my vehicles value at regular payments, 67% of which actually went to principal each month!

Before this, I owned 1 other car I bought on Craigslist that was in *really* bad shape. I drove by a local dealer with a nice Nighthawk Black manual transmission, 2008 Honda Fit. My first car was such an eyesore, I decided with $350 in my bank I'd try this one out.

OK, so the stereo was in rough shape. No biggie, learned to replace it on my own. Small burned patch on the carpet under my feet? Floor mats. Later I can buy carpet on Ebay. Driver's lock is stuck? I can use Google and find out how to fix it, alarm and key fob fixed it for now. Stupid shift knob, some dings here and there, etc.

ALL OF THIS I LET SLIDE WITH THE VEHICLE. I liked it. Sticker price was $4000, but was marked down to $3500. Right at KBB value.

Then Westlake Financial got involved during the paperwork. I'm 25 and mostly independent, alone in a mom and pops dealership, currently driving an eyesore with 2 experienced adults selling to me. When I heard NINETEEN PERCENT INTEREST RATE, I didn't know what to think (In retrospect, I think they felt I was kind of an idiot to accept that). After that mountain of paperwork? I just wanted to drive out of there with some dignity before I fell asleep with boredom.

I made every payment I could on-time up to October 2017. I believe I may have almost missed 1, but later payed that as well. Then I had a really embarrassing rough patch late last year. Pushed October to November. Couldn't scrape the money together, and missed December. The money just wasn't there. Them calling me 12 times a day won't make it appear either. I would have been able to make January 2018's payment on the 12th though!

Welp, two hours ago I watched my Honda Fit get repossessed, and I honestly cannot convince myself to care, despite loving the car. I know it'll cost me around $1000 I don't have to bail it out! Then they'll bend me over forwards, as much as I do backwards to pay them each month. The company really is *that* bad.

About 8 months into this, I tried calling them about lowering the interest rate. "Sir, you signed a contract that prevents you from lowering your interest rate." People are telling me "That's INSANE!"

I have some credit card debt I'm also paying off. Nothing insane, but between that, student loans, all my regular bills, and this car being at 19% interest?! I'm having a hard time! "Sorry sir, you signed a contract that would prevent us from lowering your interest rate." Just echoes in your head.

So, yeah I didn't answer the collection calls in late November. Your employees say the same thing. Calling me 5 times a day also won't magically add $500 extra to my bank account, and getting those calls while I'm scraping what I can up driving for Uber is kind of obnoxious. I'm not one of these online complainers about every company I interact with, but this one in particular...

Good luck if you get stuck with 'em!

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this stupid company. Just as the person said below, ALL representatives say something different and on top of that they are LIARS. I spoke with a woman two days ago, asking her to cancel my automatic payment for this first time because I will have inefficient funds and she told me everything was okay and she Canceled it. Next morning I woke up, my account went Negative. I called back and spoke with a male, he ensured me I would get my money by the end of the day.. waiting several hours to receive my funds so I can feed my daughter out of my own pocket instead of borrowing food, and still didn't receive my funds. After the second lie, I called back a third time and the last woman said it would take three days and I explained to her what her colleagues had told me and she said they were incorrect and it would postpone on my account in three didn't when all I needed was two! Stupid stupid representatives. And please don't bother on writing a comment back on my review you guys say the same B.S to each person. You guys suck.

This company lost my first payment that I mailed in. Never called once it was pass to inform me that they haven't received payment yet, but sends a note 15 days after , stating Delinquent payment. To even track a money order you have to wait 60days after you have purchase. I'm a new account ,I wasn't even 6momths in for this to happen. Smh. They didn't try hard to find out where it went ,they just want the money or I would have agent following up with on their search.

Customer service reps were garbage, I get better customer service from McDonalds than this place. They financed a 2013 Elantra for me and little did I know my brain and wallet would go on a roller coaster ride with this company for 12 fun filled months. I go to make a payment on the computer on their old and outdated website (Maybe updated in 2013?) and of course it stops functioning. So I proceed to make a payment over the phone and for some reason they took out 3 payments and over drafted my bank account $400, and I call them up again and tell them what happened and they reimbursed me some of the money after taking two weeks to acknowledge the mistake. Then for some odd reason they charged me a late fee because of all of this and I told the rep I'm not paying a late fee for something I was never late on (eventually I paid it) and told me some bs to try and remedy the situation. It was a terrible experience with this company, God bless anyone who is having an atrocious experience as well. If McDonalds could finance cars, I would had them over Westlake in a heartbeat knowing what I know now.

Oh yeah, I lost $1138 because of a communication error between Westlake and the car dealership as well. After seeing the other reviews, I am awaiting a systematic response so I can sleep at night knowing Westlake Financial cares about my well being and wallet...

This is the WORST, I REPEAT THE WORST COMPANY YOU CAN EVER FINANCE WITH! When I was with this company all my payments was on time never have I been late on a payment but this company was such a ripoff, it's like they want you be with them forever, and continue paying interest instead of focusing on the principle. They have horrible customer service I hated talking to them on the phone it was like pointless. I never got nothing solve with them everything I had to solve on my own. Luckily for me my bank refinance my car and took me away from this bullshit company. Never again will West lake Financial get my business. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NO ONE TO GO TO WESTLAKE FINANCIAL UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND SIGNING YOUR LIFE OVER TO THE DEVIL !!!

Today at around 8:30 am I got a call from my car finance company...I answered...reluctantly. I was all ready to have an attitude, I had been avoiding the call! The moment I got on the line a rep named Mark was there with a calming voice! He listened and researched my options. The biggest thing he did was made me feel like Westlake Financial is not just my lender, but my partner in paying off my car. I felt like he genuinely cared about my personal situation. He wasn't reading from a script, he listened and said "hey, we're all in this together". I know now that when they call, I don't have to be scared cause they want to work with me! He came up with an option that made sense! Big shot out to Mark Basobas ext 41571

The customer service has been great over the years I have been with them. This morning Juacarla was amazing with how she helped me set a payment plan for the last bit of my car loan. I would absolutely recommend this company to other people.

I had serval cars in my past and dealt with many different dealerships, there sales representatives, banks, and there representatives but when i got on the phone with WESTLAKES FINANCIALS Jose Cervantes i felt like a patient in the icu with a world renowned surgeon at my side ready to put all the broken pieces together. Westlake you guys did an amazing job hiring this guy from the person who approved of his interview to his trainers even too the ones that raised him. His respect and understanding is one that cannot be denied and if you guys dont recognize this guy or promote him WHYTE MILLIONAIRE MARKETING GROUP WILL !!!

I was involved in a accident with a vehicle and the car was totaled out. My insurance paid for their portion and this is where the gap insurance that I purchased was supposed to kick in. But noooo. After being released from a rehab facility from the 2 broken legs that I sustained, I find out that 2 months later I still had a huge balance and would continue to rise because the gap and warranty departments were unaware of the initial accident. I did the work to fix this issue not Westlake. Here we are 4 months later and because of this issue I had a balance that was paid off because wfs sent it to charge off status, my score went from 700 to 430. No one will even consider me for another car loan and neither is wfs since it's all their fault. Not to mention the car in question was only mine for 62 days. I do not plan on letting this issue go or stopping to right this tragedy that was forced upon me.

I called them up to let them know that I have to surrender my car, because of a family illness and can not continue to make payments on the car, due to the fact that I am not working the same hours, and the customer service person did not even understand half of what I was telling him. But the harassing phone calls start the day before payment is due and can happen as many as 5-10 tomes a day if I miss the due date. Trying to call from different numbers is their lowest trick. Next time I buy a car, it will NOT be financed by Westlake.

Absolutely the worst financing experience! I financed a vehicle in Nov 2019 and made all my payments on time. On June 17th 2020 I paid off my vehicle and still today 09/01/2020 has not reflect on my credit as paid off!! Some customer service reps tell me it takes 1-3 months and others tell me they don t have the ability to tell me when they report to the bureau! The last rep I spoke with, did send an email to upper management but was rude and was talking over me instead of listening to my concern and really focusing on addressing the issue. I also read all the bad reviews and it seems like everyone only gets a generic response to make it seem like they care for their customers. I am beyond disappointed and do not recommend to anybody unless they really get back to me and show they care!!

My car got towed about 3-4 weeks ago, a week later of the specialized towing company had it, on the same day I paid the money to get it back. Somebody who works with westlake told or gave them permission to take it to an auction in South Carolina while I live in Florida. After driving over 5 hours to get my car I was completely done with westlake. But since then, I finally answered one of there calls and a woman named ebone understood my situation and helped resolve my payment. I really hope the supervisor sees this because he/she really needs more people like ebone who is willing to do her best to help as much as she can. Thank you ebone.

Tired of dealing with there indian call center for customer support. I called to ask if there was any available assistance because of covid19 as work put me out on SDI because of it. 3 phone calls. First one disconnected before i could even talk to someone but took me to a survey. 2nd one diaconnected while he was talking about something extending me a couple days which i dont need. 3rd one said company can take payments and put them at the end of the loan to help with a month but said the company is full right now and not accepting requests. Call back on youre due date or the day before? So im supposed to stess on my car payment next month till i find out on my due date if im going to be okay or not? Indians asking for my ssn, no wonder theres so much fraud coming from over seas. Every other company seems to be easy to work with except this one. Made my payment today early as always. Because of covid i was hoping i could defer and not have a balloon payment till i figure out the income from SDI.

This a not a customer friendly company they get you a loan then tell you that you will $11.000 in interest on top of your loan they don't tell you that you can't refinance your loan that is not an option and if you get in an accident they also refuse to help you they will refuse to help you with the remaining amount of the loan so you can get on your feet again they expect you to pay you off your loan 100% in order to help you they also transfer you like 9 times just to get an answer that you need because they lack training 100% they don't care about you or your family they care about the money in there pockets they don't have an office so you can come in and talk to them they are cowards that hide from the world I would never ever never refer anyone to this company westlake financial is a joke and I really doubt Mr. Don't hanky is a real person again stay far away from this company and I find it funny they expect for much from you I was forced to pay 2700 down for a car I didn't love because they force you into cars you don't really want then they say after a year you can always trade in your car after a year yeah after you pay off your car 100%

I was very upset to get a call from a Westlake Financial representative informing me that I was a payment behind. I had an emergency in the beginning of the month and I had differed my payment. I was not happy when Luis Escolante informed me that I spoke with a customer service representative and she should of informed me that I was going to receive paper work and I was needing to pay $50.00. I was not sent the paper work, I hadn't paid $50 and my phone # that was on the auto call was not correct. I appreciate Luis going above and beyond and contacting me. He very thoroughly explained to me what I needed to do to take care of this and get back on track. I appreciate that he did his "due diligence" and located my correct number before my account went into the 30 days past due. I do realize that it is each client's responsibility to make sure there account is kept in good standing, but if the Financial Institute does not give the correct information the client is held responsible. On that note I would like to give a big "Shout Out"...Thank you, Luis! for making sure I was contacted and schooled me a bit! Thank you Mr. Escolante for your assistance.

I have purchase a Vehicle using this company in 2016 and in early 2018 I paid it off, before I pay off, I had to call them 100 times, for them, to send me bill and then I could only TT transfer the money and I did all they have requested. After I TT the payment, it took at list 1 month in order for them to verify and another 2 month until they send documentation to DMV where I could collect the title. I bet they don't like, when you pay off. Anyway, after that while all this period, even though they promised me no issue would arise, they reported to Trans Union that I have late payment, and then when I called them the Person by the name XXXX ( I don't want to disclose full name yet) have told me she is sorry and I should call Trans Union and dispute it, so it would be removed. After many many calls , I did dispute , but It was never removed, in fact I disputed couple of times. In February 2020 , after two years, they have Reported to Equfax, that I was late in payment in 2018, I guess they forgot about it and when they see the dispute they got emotional and did report that. I did call again , the guy name XXXXX( I have full name but would not disclose at this stage yet) , have told me would contact another department and request for a review. I would like to say that, once you sign in with this company at very high rate, they would never let you go, if you pay off they will go after you and take revenge and find things to make everything miserable. If you are reading this Westlake Financials, please remove it, or let me know who to contact , so you can remove it. I Don't think it is proper to give customers hard time and try to prove that you are right and argue with customers. After all, it is the people, the customers, us thanks to us, that you guys are doing business and making profit, please respect the customers and be considerate. Thanks
