Not totally satisfied but I m happy with Paul I spoke with today. He took time out his day to speak with me. This issue I m having, when their 3rd party offshore phone company was having problems and hung up on me at times, created something called miscommunication for making a payment and/or requesting an extension for a payment and now effected my credit score. I feel if westlake financial s 3rd party phone company caused accountability for WLF when I was trying to pay and/or talk with supervisor, they are held accountable. This issue has not been resolved since Paul said ITT won t be in until Monday to investigate. Paul took the time for me and I feel he does deserve this good review as an agent/supervisor.

Honestly don't. Weird things about doing business with this company. Like having the car towed to a non existent company on San Fernando blvd. After going to the same location it seemed to be a dog and pony show/ exhibition called Riverstages. I hope Ive mistaken the location yet other tow trucks were not nearby. When I walked in this building at a later time. They said they have been there for a very long time. "Really" the secretary was confident that no towing business to their knowledge was near or ever been there. Someone mentioned some girl blackmailed and trained? Therefore, extortion tactics like getting someone to withdraw from 401k and wire them cash. Immediately or? Subtle threats to say the least on top of paying about double what a semi operationally running vehicle is worth. The dealership-offered 3,500 on a 30k purchase. At the time we were referred to this company by Toyota Pasadena, Ca. When both cars were destroyed. They don't consider families or methods of transportation. It's all business and they take it very seriously. Big mistake big bad things happen and are happening now. They take advantage of minority's by hiring other minority managers in an attempt to muscle clients. Of course! However, they are well organized and have an extensive network of many local/global connections. Regardless, they did face a crime hence a class action lawsuit. Be very cautious when dealing with this company. They have a satellite location in Glendale that's hiring. Just FYI. Hope it works out better for you if you do decide to make this company richer.

In a situation like having a problem you try and clear it up with them you talk to 4 different techs they were all trained by pretty sure the same person and they all lied to you and when you come back and ask the next person why did they line the only response that kid views I don't know will put it the notes but nothing ever get to resolve so before you make a decision in wholeheartedly for loan with this company Make sure you get it in writing because when comes down to the nitty grittyThey leave you standing alone and wipe their hands clean

The people who have given these people anymore than one star are obviously friends and employees of this company. Do not deal no matter how desperate you are. A day late your car WILL be repossessed. I have been going on two weeks trying to get it back. You will pay out the ass both in money and your soul. Last month I paid off my note, and just today, which is 28 days later, they released my title. Then told me it will be another 15 days before I receive the title in the mail because they have to "process" it before mailing it out. WOW! I've never dealt with a bank that keeps your title, is this normal?

This is possibly the worst company Ive ever done any Business with. I have proof of paid in full more than 7mos ago and my rep will not answer , its extremely frustrating that they report this derogatory information only after you pay in full. 5 different reps said they see payment and its not delinquent , but reports charge-off on my Credit report and prevents my fico score from increasing .

Update after months of negative reporting an extremely helpful gentleman named Mark resolved my issue in minutes, Great guy needs to run the Company .

I've made my payments on line, which I have to say its simple. I haven't had any problems. Yes, the intrest rate is a little high, but like I said, my credit is not that great. Called to make a payment and decided to use the automatic system for once only to later find out that my car has been FINANCED UDER THE WRONG SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FOR MONTHS! Very disgusted with this financial institution. I had co-signed for my boyfriend to get a truck. he had a heart attack on dec. 31st and wrecked his truck. he ended up passing away. i had called the company a few times to find out what i could do for payments. i was informed that i would have to continue to make the monthly payment until the remainder of the loan was paid off. keep in mind the insurance company totaled the truck and i only owed a little under 1500. i asked if i could set up lower payments for the remaining 1500. I was told NO, but you can try a different company to refinance with. Who does that? so the payment was 12 days late but the insurance company sent a check for over 8000 bucks and i get a call from them asking if i was ready to make a payment since it was past due. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!! and to top it off it was 8pm when they called. I get my tax check so i can pay it off. I call to pay over the phone and it Literally took 35 Mins. for this guy to get my payment....WHY!!!! i asked him to send me a receipt and a letter saying it was paid in full because i don't trust this company! I was then told to call back Monday and request that information. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its not my job to call back. and if i have to call back its not going to be a nice conversation. DO NOT FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! there are way better options out there, trust me!! Westlake Financial you should be ashamed!

The most unprofessional place ever. Once my 48 months are up I will never go back to these people. They take double payments and take forever to refund back what they took I have been calling over a week now and all I keep hearing is call back tomorrow this is the second time they have done this and thanks to them taking double payments I have late fees on my other bills which of course they aren t going to pay they are sorry for the inconvenience is all you hear them say thank goodness I record all my calls through a recording app my lawyer is going to have a field day with there asses in court.

If you run into an issue they will not assist you. They SCAMMED me working with a dealership called Prime AutoMax in Pasadena, CA. I set up a payment and the bank is saying I did not set it up. I have a record of when I called and they have it noted in their system I called to set up my payment, yet they say it was not set up properly, despite me having called. SO I AM TAKING A LOSS BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE ON THEIR PART. I asked for a transcript of the call because I know for a fact I set up my payment and they denied my request.
My car was repossessed by the dealership I bought it from on a Thursday, despite the bank not having made a decision about my contract till 3 or 4 days later. How would the dealership have any idea to take the car if the bank hasn t even made decision yet? I called to have this issue reviewed multiple times and have been told there is nothing they will do for me.

ONCE AGAIN DO NOT WORK WITH THIS BANK. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG IT IS NOT WORTH THR RISK. ZERO STARS! Bank is not trustworthy.

Let me first start off by saying two things; the first, is I work for a call center, and know how people should be treated over the phone; the second, I am not basing this opinion off of one single phone call, but off of numerous phone calls spanning over the miserable 6 months I had a loan through this company.

Although, it is true this company will finance almost anybody, they sacrifice decent service for it. Calling this company is the wost I've ever experienced. Putting aside the robotic, and monotone responses you get from the phone representatives, no one seems to know what to do, so their solution is to transfer you. Literally, every single call I placed to this company I head, "Let me get you to the correct department" and was transferred to someone else, only to be told that I shouldn't have been transferred to them and then being transferred else where.

On top of accepting a loan through this company at an insane APR, not due to bad credit, but due to no credit was so ever, I made the horrible decision of accepting their collision insurance. They add amount of the insurance to your loan, so they can charge you interest on it, with the promise you can cancel any time and receive the unused portion, only after you pay off the loan in full, or provide absolute proof of another insurance. After I paid my loan off in full, this company claimed they sent me the unused portion of the insurance, but never did. I had to continue to call for 3 months after my account was paid off, to get the money that was rightfully mine.

Lastly, I never made a late payment, or missed a payment with this company. So, when I sent a check for the full amount, for some reason this company did not receive it on the day it was due, even though I sent it. So, when they did not receive the payment on the due day, they continued to call me over and over again, every other hour and attempt to collect on me. Furthermore, when I tell the collections rep the check is on the way, they would mock me and question whether or not what I was saying was truthful.

In conclusion, I would not let my worst enemy do business with this company. If my above said review has been too ambiguous to the reader, I will make this quite clear:

DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH THIS COMPANY. INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHADY, AND UNRIGHTEOUS BUSINESS TACTICS. UNFAIR, AND INCONSIDERATE OPERATIONS.

my son recently passed away and had a vehicle financed with Westlake. I immediately called them to let them know and provided my name and number. They could not share any information with me until I provided a death certificate. One of my other children was considering purchasing the vehicle outright and wanted to get a payoff. It was only a few days later that I started receiving calls. I explained to them the situation and told them I called them and provided the details on the account and asked that it be documented. The next day I got another call. I got a call on Sunday morning before 8:00 am. Having worked for GMAC and Wells Fargo I knew that this should not have happened. So, I called on Monday and again reviewed the information and asked them not to call. Tuesday, I received another call. This time I asked for a Manager. I was not transferred but did receive a promise that a 'Do not call' would be put on my number. Imagine my surprise when I received a call the next morning on my phone asking for my deceased son. I asked why she was calling and told her my son was deceased. She told me she would place a 'Don not call' on my phone number. I told her that was supposed to be done the day before to which she responded 'oh, I see it now. That's weird that we called'. A few days later we got the payoff and decided not to purchase the vehicle. I provided the address where they could come pick up the vehicle. The next day I emailed a copy of the death certificate and a note to come get the vehicle. I included my address and phone number with a note authorizing them to call me. I hadn't heard back so today I called them and asked to speak to a supervisor. She apparently didn't see that the death certificate was sent and asked where I emailed it to. I provided the address which was correct. She told me they could probably have it picked up by Monday. Needless to say, my experience was just awful. I have a total of 29 years in the auto finance business. I have never seen anything like this. If I could have, I would have given this company no stars!

Working with westlake was a terrible experience all the way from start to end. We were happy we were able to get approved but started out at a 19.99% interest rate. Once we were approved and became a westlake customer we never missed a payment but would get collection calls saying our account was past due. Multiple calls to customer service proved to be useless. I would call and speak to someone and the following day when I would call again they would have no records or notes or any existence of my call the previous day. This happened multiple times. After a year of on time payments we decided to refinance with PNC bank.

I called to get a 10 day payoff quote while inside PNC and we wrote a check for the amount we were told. We mailed it out that day and was happy to be done with westlake. Our interest rate dropped to 4.99% and our payment was a $100 less.

Although I thought I was done with westlake we started getting collection calls and I mean 4 or 5 a day 8am to 11pm at night saying our account was past due. I called and spoke with multiple people multiple times and wrote down all names and call times and dates yet every time I called there was no existence of these calls or people. There would be no notes or anything.

Turns out the person who gave me my 10 day payoff quote that I requested gave me a 1 day quote so there were extra fees and interest that was not paid for. It totaled under $27. Although I should have just paid and been done with them it infuriated me.

3 months after the fact and after speaking with half a dozen supervisors they were able to review recorded calls that those fees would be waived because they kept arguing we only waive fees $10 or less and our employees wouldn't tell you otherwise.

So finally they mark it as a promise to pay and submit that the fees should be waived and that I should no longer receive collection calls.

Not only was that not true but the amount of collection calls increase to myself and my spouse and mostly between 5pm and 11pm.

If you have to choose between Westlake Financial or going without a car, I would suggest going without the car.

Awful company, terrible rates, worst customer service and overall completely useless. They do not have a clue what they are doing.

I have been on the phones all say trying to get them to honor their warranty, they first agreed to honor it and now they've been bouncing me around on. The same phone lines claiming I am in the wrong department. Even though I spoke with them on that same line the day before and that's the information they provided to the mechanics. They are the worst!! Please stay away. My issue is still not resolved.

Only feedback I have for Sam is he does go over a few disclosures too fast but I get it bc I m sure I says it so many times a day I work in customer service so I say disclosures like a robot lol. I was suppose to have a 3 month deferred payment due to the covid 19 stuff and that somehow got ignored and Jacqueline got to the bottom of everything very quickly and straightened that out within 5 mins. More people at Westlake should be half as good as her and their reputation would be respectful. Now I gotta get 2 missed payments off my credit reports

This company is unorganized and after my vehicle is paid off I will never do business with them again. I mailed my payment in and for after a full month my check was not cashed, a repo man showed up at my door and took the car! I had to pay them the monthly fee plus a $350 repo fee and other costs equalling to be over $600. I gathered the money and paid them western union as asked and the SAME day after I paid them they cashed the check payment I mailed to them from weeks before!!!! Put me in the hole and now 1day late I get 5 calls a day! I was also told by the dealer that this company would refinance me after I made the 1st month payment and when I tried to do so I was told they don't offer that.

One of the least professional banking institutions I've had the displeasure of dealing with in 40 years. I have no idea what is going on. I have paid off the vehicle as a result of these people being so incredibly inept and I've gotten three different stories about where the title is and how I would receive it. To this day, still a different story and yet no title? Somehow my $20,000 made it through, though. There is no way I would recommend anyone doing business with this, so-called Bank! Exceedingly inept!

I have a recurrent payment with the app and it looks like I haven t pay and that s effect my credit score , I go to talk to my personal bank and everything looks fine the money was there but they keep calling me . I'm so thankful to be with Westlake financial because it has been very hard lately and didn't think they would care to listen to reason bt they do!! I thank westlake for financing me with my bad credit situation.. but honestly I wish I never did. Every time I ve called Ive dealt with a rude employee. If I m one day late on a payment they re calling me non stop, even at work. Even though I put half down on the truck my interest rate is through the roof and even though my credit score has went up I m married to this joke of a loan for another 15 months. My words of advice are to Pay attention,l and read the fine print before you sign your life away.

I call them up and they tell me after talking in circles for an hour placing blame on everyone else. They tell me it's going to be another 3-5 days. I ask if they can give me a conformation number or something, someway to verify that the return was started. They tell me we can't do that. Every other statement that the CSR said was a contradiction of previous statement. It was just bad. I have now been on hold for 35 minutes waiting to speak with another supervisor. It's a shame my truck is almost payed off. I Won't use them again.

Customer service they should call it Customer aggravation customer frustration or customers I think we re going to do what we assume you want.

The first rep I talked She talks so fast heavy accent and I had to have a repeat herself slowly three times until i understood what you said
I answer the question and she doesn t say anything so I ask are you still there so she ask another question i answer it and she doesn t say anything again for a long time it was about three questions with dead silence after every answer

so I asked to speak with another rep.
I called to see what s the steps to change the amount that I pay every month to increase it and she explained she canceled while explaining canceled my recurring payment and it takes over a month to do it again I did not authorize any consolation I m calling to find out what are the steps and as she explaining she and I canceled your recurrent payment and I said hold on you canceled it and I just hung the phone. That was the second rep I talked to.

I m not sure what kind of training or what kind of people are they hiring but this is really aggravating

It is amazing of how many people had dealt with this company and the negative reviews the company received. I was reading most feed back and like I had mentioned many of them are negative and the response given by the "owner response" was the same to all. The response was a general response and still gives you the customer service number to call to deal with such issues. Now, If I was the VP of Customer Service, I would retrain ALL of the employees and monitor each call for quality assurance. They need to understand that the market for repeated business is important. Not all customers will be happy but at least the company needs to aim at a 90% or higher for customer satisfaction.
