Love it! Steps from the beach. Whalers shopping village, breakfast buffet that is out of this world. Clean rooms, friendly staff, perfect location.

Rooms are fairly small but the view is incredible. If breathtaking views are your priority then this is a great spot.
Nice place to be. Had a massage and have never felt more relaxed! The service is amazing. Very nice resort and relaxing spa.
Fraudulent billing practices. 2 different people gave me 2 different final balances and they are now threatening to send me to collections. They can not provide me with accurate legitimate itemization. I have been asking for it since October
If I were just visiting and not staying overnight I would give this five stars. The place is beautiful. Right on the beach. Grand lobby with a pond, waterfalls, even swans and flamingoes! The pool area is nice and you can swim underneath waterfalls - very exotic!
But when we checked in we were given a room we didn't request, then the floor leaked from a broken pipe next door, and then we found roaches!!! Ick. Unacceptable. I will not stay here again.
Went to the luau at the hotel. Was a fantastic experience and I would recommend. Food was delicious, entertainment was very good. The mastery of ceremony was hilarious.
Great vacation overall, staff was excellent and very nice but there is a but there was never any towels and the buffet was overpriced all though it was a decent breakfast and just one thing to point out dont come on Christmas if you dont like crowds because it was packed a nice thing is it was right by the mall so you can shop and eat it's also great for kids
Didn't stay in the hotel but attended the luau which was amazing.
Had an excellent anniversary here. To be honest, I was very apprehensive before arriving due to the renovations. I called and spoke to Ryan who reassured me and accommodated me as a valued guest which I truly appreciated, even being willing to let me out of a prepaid reservation due to my apprehension. I m glad we chose to stay! The room was beautiful, wish I d have taken good photos but was so ready to relax we unpacked and there were clothes strewn about for the majority of our stay.
Upon check-in the very nice gentlemen sent up a bottle of wine for my husband and I. Also, before arrival Jericka inquired as to what we liked and had chocolate covered almonds and Perrier with lime waiting for us in the room. Please note that she was not aware of our status with the hotel prior to this, she was just genuinely trying to make our stay special.
The hotel is beautiful, my only gripe was that the hot tub wasn t working but they were renovating!
This is where to go to fall in love again or discover it for the first time. It's damn romantic. Love it!
Passed through bar hopping down the Lahaina coast. There are many places to grab a drink, but no differentiation in drink menu. Worth a stop if you're on Maui time.
We stayed in the beach tower, 7th floor. Our room had a door to the next room. You could hear even zippers being used through the closed doors, preventing any privacy when it comes to sound.
The pools were great and one of our favorite parts of our stay.
Someone used our room number to charge a cabana but the hotel removed the charge, no questions asked.
The elevators in the beach tower were independent so if you hit a button on one side, it only called that elevator, not both. This meant when you called both, both would arrive, which would be a wasted stop for the slower elevator.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We might stay again, but would request a room that doesn't have a doorway between rooms.
Very high value for rooms that do not correspond to a 4 star hotel. Not even 3 stars! They are old-fashioned rooms with old carpet, odor and stains. The bathroom needs to be renovated. The shower faucet does not adjust pressure, is neither effective nor efficient. In the shower area drips water from the top grille ... From the worst rooms I've ever been to.
Great rooms, great service, awesome pool! Highly recommended.
I came here at the last minute and paid a premium on getting an executive suit, after my father committed suicide just two weeks ago. Since then i can't sleep, and Maui has always been my refuge in the past. I have been to Maui 12 times in the last 3 years, this time under more somber circumstances, but I definitely came to rejuvenate. Well I could deal with the fact that they only have valet parking now, I can deal with the understanding that the entire guest internet was down from yesterday afternoon to early this morning, but what I can't get over is the one hear I came to do, unwind, rejuvenate, and get some sleep. When i finally did fall asleep at 1am, I was awoken by my neighbor in room 872 yelling at the top of his lungs, apparently in a drunk fight with whoever he was with. The friend who is staying with me calm went to the balcony to ask them to quiet down, and next thing i know the same guy next door is using every profane word and making threats to my friend that came with me here, just to make sure i wasn't alone. So instead of getting that R&R I'm so desperately seeking after my dad passed, I am still shaking over an hour after this event took place. His other neighbors also complained, and it wasn't till they got the call and till i went downstairs that security came... Even now, an hour later he is still up yelling at whoever he came here with.. This is more drama than I came from.
Very nice resort but we had huge problem with housekeeping. The front desk was very rude and inconsiderate. Apparently, the customer is wrong.
Guys...the construction here is no joke. They should not be open during this time!! Spend your money elsewhere! To begin - Half way through our stay the pools were shut down because of the renovations going on. They have elevators shut down so they get backed up QUICK! There were 2 times within 3 days where we waited 10 minutes for an elevator. It kind of became a joke with everyone in them! We could hear EVERYTHING in the room next to us (especially at 5 am). We are willing to put up with a lot and totally understand the need for updating, but this is next level. You can t even speak to the front desk staff without the immense sound of jackhammering in the background.. When the pools were shut down my husband went to complain to the front desk in hopes they were offering some sort of compensation for the inconvenices we were dealing with. NOPE! The girl debated with my husband with excuses as to why this place is still operating under these conditions. She told us that our travel agency should ve told us about the construction... Not sure how they d magically know since it s not even on their own website here!! On top of our expensive nightly stay we then had to pay resort fee s when we left. Hard to justify resort fee s when we feel we would ve had a better experience at a motel. I can t even explain how sad it is that they unregretfully are having people pay for an expensive resort and get this experience. Totally not worth it. The ONLY person who accommodated us, had empathy and showed us he cared was Tyler out at the beach putting up chairs and umbrellas. He was super friendly and great in chatting with us. Aside from that the immense lack of customer service and experience is incredible for a resort.
DO NOT BOOK HERE! The entire pool area is under construction. We booked because it had such great reviews for the pool, but upon arrival the pool area was under construction, there were sounds of jackhammering all day, and limited spots to enjoy the very small pool area that remained open. There was no communication online or upon check in from staff and nothing posted about the pool area being closed. I don t know why they think it is ok to treat guests like this, but it is clear they they do not value our experience, just the money we give them. Sad and inconsiderate, we will not book here again even once construction is complete
The Westin Maui Ka'ananpali is simply fantastic!
My stay with my family was of Joy and Relaxation. Knowing the Original Westin from the Newly Renovated Hotel you will notice the entire facility is up to a new and efficient Standard reflecting
Generous & Fantastic Rooms, The New Beach Restaurant is Super for Breakfast and they will serve Dinner soon too, The Pool area is out of this world because it has something for everyone. Baby's to Kids, Slide, to Adult Pools and Warm Sand Pool overlooking the ocean! .
The Hotel is super clean. They have Sanitizer everywhere, even in the elevators.
Great Job Westin Maui! You are truly in my Eyes 5 Star Hotel! Thank you to all the Wonderful Staff, Mahalo Arron, and Joven Galiza for recommending this Hotel over the Hyatt Regency.
Relaxing environment. Delicious food. One of my favorite places.
Just breath taking and everyone so nice..very blessed to come here.
We stayed on the 7th floor in an ocean front room. The view was gorgeous, and we occasionally saw whales jumping in the ocean from our room. Service was good. It's no Four Seasons, but not bad. Worth the money.
Everything was great. Don't believe the negative comments. Reception (Alika) was very welcoming and helpful. Room met westin standard. Kids loved the pool and beach. Gym was clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic poolside bar service. Minus one star for non transferrable bar tabs between Marriot resorts. Starwood was better.
We were here 4 years ago. Had a wonderful time! We'd come with friends. And everyone had a great time! The rooms were nice. And the beds were very comfortable! The resort was very nice. Beautiful!
Forced to pay additional "resort fees" which provides almost nothing if you rent a car. Also vallet parking is forced as there is no parking anywhere. At check in it was not explained that a 300 dollar deposit would be taking out and Rebecca was very rude when I asked about it. Would not reccomend.
The pool is very expensive, the beach is beautiful, there are many restaurants and shops nearby, and the hotel facilities are great.
We loved our stay here! We had an ocean view room which was beautiful. All the staff we met were courteous. When the self park was full they provided complimentary valet. We loved the pools and the water slide was fun even for adults.
Great place to stay. Great beach access. Pools are fun for kids. I would prefer some other luau though, maybe old Lahaina.
Awesome resort, great service, amenities and rooms. Many offerings and accessibility. Great time. Thank you!
Definitely. not up to Westin s standards. A good deal of the hotel is under construction and we weren t informed (nor were others we spoke with). All but 3 small pools closed down so everyone is jam packed into the space and no chairs most days, our balcony overlooked bulldozers, front end loaders dropping several ton rocks and all the back up beeper sounds to accompany it! Every day! The carpets are so worn they are wrinkling, the wallpaper is coming off and the paint is chipped. The food was mediocre at best. The only saving grace was that the staff, each and every one, we interacted with, were stellar, friendly and professional.
This hotel was a complete disappointment. Other than the concierge, Janet, and the bartender,Jerome, this is one of the worst resorts I have stayed in in Ka'anapali! Their sister resort, The Sheraton, was much nicer. So was the Marriott & the Hyatt (and I have stayed in all of them). The front desk staff was inept. The cleaning staff was substandard. In room dining was completely unacceptable! Pay the extra $ to stay at a facility that cares more about its guests
The Staff are excellent. The pools a true hit with the children. Great location next to a shopping center and restaurants and the beach. The hotel is dated and the experience is not up to Westin's usual brand. This is a family destination so highly recommended, however the nightly fee is high
They didn't tell us there's construction in the site
Overall, this hotel was simply okay. Upon arrival, we could find no open parking spaces in the lot for our rental car. Parking was at a premium all week. We never knew if we'd find a place or not.
At check-in, we were placed in a different room than the one reserved. We were told it was an upgrade, though I had to wonder, as it overlooked Whaler's Village and the restaurants there. As much as we would have enjoyed keeping the balcony door open at night, it had to be closed to keep the noise out.
The room desperately needed an update. The carpet was drab and tired. The sofa was stained. And the king-size bed was extremely soft and overdue for replacement. We groaned each morning as we arose with discomfort after sleeping in that lousy bed. Apparently, the hotel spends all the money it charges its customers on the grounds, for they looked fine, but the room suffered.
I'll stay elsewhere on my next visit.
A paradise, surrounded by greenery with swimming pools and equipped with all services, shows every day and excursions that can be booked directly in the resort, very spacious and comfortable rooms made really well
The hotel itself is one of the nicest hotels, nicer than the Waldorf Astoria, I have ever stayed at. The only problem I have with the hotel itself is everything shits down way too early, but the service could have been surpassed by a Motel 6 , at least the people at the front desk of the Motel 6 know what they are talking about. Also, if u come back from doing something at night time, good luck finding a parking spot (Which are already crazy small) , but at least they will valet it for free.
Still heavily under renovation the crews are sympathetic but none the less noisy throughout the day. The rooms are basic and not the 4* l was expecting. The pools and beach are good as is the service. That said nothing is included and the costs mount up. The $30 a day mandatory valet parking is ridiculous and waiting to get your car at busy times is painful. Overall a great location and Whalers village is literally next door so that's a plus. Also be aware that Time Share is pushed quite hard. Would l stay here again well no probably not. I loved Ka anapali beach so l would carefully pick another hotel.
Hotel is a bit dated but the room is big and comfortable. The beach is very nice and right by the hotel.
This is a really nice hotel. I prefer a more authentic Hawaiian feel, but this is great if you're looking for niceness/luxury. It's got cabanas for rent, towel service, nice pools, and a hot tub.
We had dinner here and it was outstanding! The poke is delish, the atmosphere was chill and there was live music which was so nice after the year of Covid.
Although the Westin Maui is getting some renovations done...the staff is very friendly and helpful
Bland. For a resort destination, this brand has been the worst experience I've had. Twice now, the first being in Panama. I expect more; other places offer superior service. It took the staff sometimes two days to complete a request -- only after multiple requests. At least it was consistent...everything from arrival to checkout was underwhelming and non-committal. Servicing of the room was consistently ignored as well.
We had a great time, and all of those experiences were away from this hotel and staff. Everything that was done here left us wanting.
Loved this place so much. Great views even if not on ocean side. Rooms were very nice. Showers are amazing. Lots of pools amazing property to walk around. Great welcoming staff.
Decent rooms. Stingy policies. They give you 6 towel tokens and charge you $25 if you loose one. $25 for a microwave in the room. $25 if you loose your valet ticket. Don't expect a star resort to nickel and dime their guests.
For a premier resort suite with ocean view, I expected more value. No microwave, not jacuzzi or jetted tub, no tub at all. Plan to spend an additional 30 per day for self parking or valet parking if their self parking lot is under construction. Valet is more regularly. These rooms already cost 800+ per night. Parking should be free for a resort, considering we already a daily resort fee, on top of our several thousand dollar stay for only 3 nights. It is expensive- period. Thankfully pool towles were free. The water pressure in the shower is great as well. The tv is limited to channels, again more money. Our view was the best part. Carpeting in the hallway is scrunched up. Pur shower door didn't shut right and it was made where there is a gap between the door and floor, so our floor was soaked every shower time, unless we would waste extra towels. Valet parking employees were great. We also tipped them a few bucks everytime, which means more mula! Shocker lol. I love hawaii, but I dont love hawaii expenses....expenses after expenses after paying out the wooha to even get here. I'm very sadden with how poor Kahului area is going into town. It's crazy. Drug addicts everywhere you turn, even at some parks five minutes or so from the resorts!
This is a very nice well kept older property right on the beach in Lahainia. Customer service is great. Dining options are very limited and very expensive. For two people it costs anywhere from $60.00 for breakfast and way up for dinner if you eat at one of the four or five restaurants in the area. Also there is no microwave in the room so you can't even have a bag of popcorn.
Super clean , great service at the pool . Can t wait to come back .
The bar tender was very busy, but still took the time to tell us about some local places to visit. He was extremely knowledgeable and very personable.
Nice hotel but everything overpriced, food was average, luckily plenty of great food options in walking distance
We went for the Luau. Pls go to the Marriort or the Royal Lahaina. It's just bad overall. It's a bad buffet. The food is not refilled in a timely manner and it's not good. No ocean view. It's part in an outside area by the parking lot and the buffet inside the main building. It does not feel like a Luau or Hawaii. The Marriott Luau is by far the best.
I want to go back to the Westin. We went for our honeymoon in 2002 and had a great time. Great place to stay.
Very nice hotel with the best location in Kaanapali. Excellent service and very rich food with room service. I recommend it 100%
Beautiful huge pool with pink flamingos. Lovely setting near the beach.
We stayed 2 night in mountain facing room on a pretty high floor. The view was quite amazing. There were some items missing when we first got to the room, but the people sent it to our room upon request. We rented some snorkeling gear from hotel and went snorkeling in the nearby Black Rock beach, and saw a lot of fish!
Resort was beautiful.
It's walking distance to a great outdoor mall including 3 restaurants.
Resort staff was extremely courteous, especially Orian, who took the time to recommend and book a number of activities for us throughout our stay.
Great job guys!!
Construction was not as bad as they made it seem. This place will be 5 stars when all the work is done, so here is the 5 *
Variety and Grandeur, The Westin Maui has all the cards and money. It's a Westin world and it's Hawaiian style. A pinnacle of capitalistic money funnels.
Good facilities, friendly staff and good accessibility.
Lots of families and kids go to this resort. Wi-Fi is kind of slow. Self parking is limited. Luau is kick-ass.
Located next to Lahaina Old Town, on the Kaanapali Beach, The Westin Maui Resort & Spa boasts a unique sand beach view and two other islands (Lanai and Molokai) in the distance. Worth staying here!
Amazing lobby as well as great pools! Rooms are a bit small, but staff and decoration more than overcompensate.
Got a nice room with a great view of the mountains and construction...
For $600/night what you get is very basic accommodation and service. The rooms were supposedly renovated but they looked 40 years old. There were tears in the drapes. Imagine this place as an old 3 star Holiday Inn before you book.
It was clean and as expected, the reason for 3 stars is I was not told of the construction that was going on and it took away one of the main attractions in the slides at pool. Also hanging out poolside while jackhammers are going off all day isn't my ideal getaway from reality. If I wanted that I would've stayed in the concrete jungle.
