Such a wonderful and nice hotel! We are gold bonvoy members and love Westin properties. We went there about a week ago for our honeymoon and overall was such a great experience. The newly renovated room was fantastic with such a great view. The pool and service were awesome. Great live music at the outdoor bar! Shout out to the guy who plays Tuesdays and Thursdays. A few reasons why I knock off a star are one, they didn t have in room dining, so no room service. I understand COVID restrictions but you d think you would encourage dinning in your room more. Two, the hot tubs weren t running because of COVID. I think they could have kept them open and just limited the amount of people in the tubs. Three, we had a concierge lady suggest a preview of the new Westin resort/ time share property not too far up the road for a 3,900 point reward. The concierge knew it was our honeymoon. We thought that was not a bad deal as it was promised as only an about an hour tour. We went and it ended up taking longer than expected. It was super awkward as a young couple being pressured into a large sale. Guaranteed it was our decision to go to this preview, and we should have let them know we were there for the points up front. As part of a honeymoon, I don t think the concierge should have even suggested that we do that as it wasted our time when we could have been chilling at the pool. It took up our whole Thursday afternoon and wasn t able to do anything after before our dinner cruise we had planned that night. I still haven t seen the bonvoy points hit my account after 5 days like the concierge woman promised. So it seems like even more of a waste of time and really regret doing that on our honeymoon. So just a heads up to other people staying at the Westin for their honeymoon, don t do the preview for extra points. Just a few things that were cons while staying there, and traveling during COVID didn t help. Overall great experience, but don t get sucked into a timeshare tour.

Excellent resort! Great location, friendly staff. Rooms are nice. A bit pricey unless you're able to score a good deal. And unfortunately food and room service are not included. It's located in a beautiful section of Maui

Want to come to a place that tries their best to separate you from ever dollar they possibly can? This is it!

Plus, this is the most sterilized Hawaii ocean experience you can possibly imagine. Don't come here if you value any degree of nature, authenticity or value for your money

Overall a very nice beach front hotel. It s right next to Whaler s Village so in addition to the hotel facilities you have a lot of other options for stores, happy hours and restaurants.

One of the things I like about this resort is that their ocean front lawn is slightly elevated above the beach walk so that you can sit in the lounge chairs and have a good view to watch the whales off shore (best times for whales is November-March).

They re doing some renovations (March 2020) to the pool area that has reduced the available space for guests around the pool. I m guessing it s going to take them the rest of the year to complete - that s the only reason for only 3 stars.

Feel nickel & dimed when charged for beach chair use, shouldn't that be part of the resort fee?? Ask to see a room key if it is a public beach problem.. Consumers need to see real perceived value in resort fees. What one consumer may find useful, ten others may not. Simply charge guests for bikes, tennis, photography, things not ALL guests use, and drop the paid by all resort fees.

Hotel rooms are nice. Heavenly beds are pretty good, seemed nicer in past. Rooms are updated, yet on the smaller side. Beach is nice, but drops off quickly. Wailea beaches are shallower and better for kids.

Local shopping and dining options are nice and convenient to the hotel.

Its under construction didn't tell me they were going to be running and operating Excavators and Jack Hammers this is the worst Hotel they should of at least refunded or gave a discount. Nothing that's what they gave us said ( it's quite until 9am and after that construction ends at 6pm.) Theyy are not a good Hotel to stay at they only have one Jacuzzie and the noise was not great at all 0 stars if I could of gave 0 Stars

Lots of activities for everyone and a very friendly staff. Very clean, my wife ( who is VERY picky) and I never had any problems and we were constantly entertained with all the activities.

Great service, within walking distance of the beach, and you can make an appointment for a hospitality room if you want to spend the last day at the beach after checkout, great time overall and a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend and go again.

NOTHING is included with your room here. The rooms are just surface clean. The "7 layer bedding" they're so proud of is just layers of sheets that get tangled while you sleep. The drain in the shower didn't drain very well. The coffee maker is a single cup model that sounds like it's preparing for takeoff. They need more than the one directory I saw during my 6 days there. We were in 2 different rooms while there since they didn't have the room we had originally reserved & claimed that, "when you book through a 3rd party, you can't really expect to get what you booked." If you rent a car, be prepared to spend the mandatory $30 per day valet service since they do not have ANY self parking. And it will take at least 15 minutes for them to get your car. And you can't call ahead for it. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Very beautiful place, and the food is good. This is a good spot for sunbathing by the pool or taking a dip in the ocean, however; there are a lot of kids here especially considering it is "slow season." Also, hotel rooms are mediocre and staff is unhelpful for the most part and slow to help when they can. We originally booked a room with a king size bed and when we got here we were given a room with 2 full size beds and were told there were no rooms available with kings. Also, we were denied late check out even though we are starwood 100 night platinum members. Lastly, we ordered room service which never came. Had to go to the front desk to get what we had ordered. I would not stay here again.

This resort is very nice and I would give it 5 stars except for the valet parking which was somewhat unorganized and one of the valet parkers had a real condescending attitude. When we pulled up the first thing he said was that it was mandatory valet parking acting like we didn't already know that. Then he began to point out a few dings on our rental and laughed . What?!

Just got back, here is what to expect- The Good: location, some nice servers. The Bad: construction noise as they are starting hotel renovations, cockroaches in the bed (had this issue in both mountain and ocean view rooms, .and poor valet and front desk service.

Wonderful view of the Ocean! Great Pool! The Koi pond has the biggest Goldfish I have ever seen! The swimming pool has a waterfall that I let give me a neck massage! The room was super modern with a kitchen microwave.

Extraordinary sea views.

Extraordinary sea views.

Rooms are clean and comfortable with balcony that looks across endless sea.

Many pools with slides to enjoy the quite time.

They hosts luau events at the resort , so you can take a drink and enjoy the show.

It's right on the Lahaina beach , which is clean and maintained.

Negative points -
1. Coffee , soaps, moisturizer are not stocked properly, it's so limited that if you are. Couple , you will run in half use. So that doesn't make your stay comfortable.
2. No shuttle service to airport, which cost us 75$ one way.
3. Super expensive food - around $75 for breakfast and interesting thing is THAT food is not worth 75 bucks , not delicious. Hash browns tasted like a potato pie, fruits we're not so fresh. We are early risers, so no excuse of running out of fresh food :)

Other than this, do visit this place , it's really amazing stay.

Looks great from the outside, much newer and more modern than the Sheraton ....... We have unfortunately only eaten there (several times, because it was so good) ..... The beach is narrower, than at the end of the bay , Everything was very well maintained.

Your first impression of this hotel is breaktaking. The foyer leads you into an open lobby area with lush gardens, a large koi pond complete with pink flamingos and even a majestic black swan. This area leads into multiple swimming pools, slide, adult only area. Off the lobby up one flight of stairs is the weight room/gym area, which is open - I really enjoyed this concept. The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach, not far from the Whaler's Village, which is a mini mall with stores, restaurants on the beach, and let's us not forget an ABC store. The hotel is also in an excellent location to visit other parts of Maui - Lahaina (10 min ride), Road to Hana (30 minutes), ziplining, horseback riding - both 20 minutes away. Perfect time of year for whale watching - no need to go on an excursion, just sit on the beach or look out your balcony if you have an ocean view - they are in abundance EVERYWHERE!
Outside of a few issues we encountered early on in our stay. There were issues with our phone not working. We arrived on superbowl weekend, and the cable was out in a number of rooms in the hotel. They were charging $20/table or $10pp to hold a seat to watch the game. We ended up going elsewhere and had a great time! The worst part of the trip was when my son, daughter and I got stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes around 10:30pm. The staff clearly did not know what to do, and it took them about 5 minutes to get their plan in place. The engineer ended up talking my children how to open the elevator from the inside - we were stuck between floors. While I understand these things happen, I was extremely disappointed the female manager on duty at the time never came to ensure we were okay, no phone calls, poor customer service. When I followed up with a phone call to her, her response back to me was "well you were only in the elevator for 8 minutes". I'm sure you can guess why my response was back to her. I must admit I was more than a bit disappointed in the service of the hotel up to this point. We were greeted by the not so friendly check in woman upon arrival that I had read about the week prior on Trip Advisor (was hoping to avoid her), no cable service & want to charge their guests anyways to the debacle in the elevator. Mind you we had only been at the hotel for 3 days! In this same timeframe, the other party we traveled with had issues with their room as well (no cable, broken slider to the balcony, etc.
On Monday morning, I called to speak to the management of the hotel. Michael was like a breath of fresh air! He made sure the remainder of our stay went very well, continuously following up with us to ensure our needs were met. He addressed every issue thoroughly and professionally. There were also a number of staff who treated us the same as Michael so I don't want to give the impression this is a horrible hotel. The beds met the Westin standard, never ran out of hot water, etc.
However, if you're accustomed to the Westin "standard", you will not find it here. The rooms are run down a bit, tiles cracked in the showers, mini fridges with broken parts, phones not working properly, elevators breaking down (they had a sign on the broken elevator basically for the remainder of the week), broken sliders, etc. While they are undergoing a renovation, I understand they have been "renovating" for some time. Apparently, the Westin chain needs to pay a little bit of attention to their Maui resort, and put some of the money they receive under their Starwood program back into their property.
If you want to book excursions, please see the American Express desk, Janet Powell was phenomenal!

Construction was actively going on while there. Significant noise and it made getting into the room a mess. No prior warning or note. Staff was (understandably given volume of people) not very accommodating or attentive - particularly for valet where it took 30+ minutes to get the car

I paid for a great room and it was really good... Except, the coffee they had was crap. If I'm paying 4 star rates, I want 100% Kona coffee, not the gut rot they provide. Also, their breakfast buffet is outrageously priced. They wouldn't even let me take a to go box back to my room. $22 for a bagel, $18 for eggs w toast. For the price I'm paying for my room, good coffee and a breakfast buffet should be included. The whalers village has the ABC store which will save you tons on your alcohol, and there is a nice reasonable breakfast place called Nikki's Pizza there as well.

We stayed here two nights, and it was a great experience! The room was quaint and very cute. The lobby area had flamingos and other birds. We ate at the restaurant downstairs on our first day and the food was great and the waitress was lovely. It was overall a wonderful experience and would 100% stay with ya'll again!

Awesome service at a beautiful resort. Location is great right next to Whalers Village shopping center (with multiple restaurants). Great pool as well; however, only downside is beach not very big or beautiful. Easy access to nicer beaches at Black Rock (~7 minute walk).

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIR ven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

This place is all about the activities, the pools, the beach, the boats, and the island.

It has a gift shop with all the little necessities, but the rooms aren't huge. They, I think, believe that if you're in Maui in the first place, you're probably not real concerned with how big your room is. It's comfortable, and clean. The staff is largely friendly, and the restaurants are decent.

If you plan to spend your vacation indoors, go up the street to the Westin Maui Villas. Bigger rooms, but fewer activities.

As for me and my family, we love it and are having a blast on Maui.

Great hotel with good rooms. Hotel is a bit noisy during early morning hours as the walls seem a bit thin. Don't care for the resort fee being extra for very extra benefits. Would be great to include free watersports (paddle boat, boogie board, snorkel stuff) in the fee.

Overall it was enjoyable and had easy access to the ocean and great pools. Had no problems securing a chair at the pool.

I am staying with them for 5 nights. I like that they have the options to go Green (no room cleaning daily) and receive $5 credit daily. Their pool is nice. This particular Westin location is under construction right now so it is a little inconvenience.

My dream vacation became a nightmare.

My dream vacation became a nightmare.
I arrived to a war zone.
The Maui Westin is undergoing extreme remodeling it was a huge construction zone .
The noise was so loud there was no way iI was going to be able to have any R&R in stress free environment. Front desk and for me they are doing their best to keep the noise down between 9 AM and 5 PM every day! Oh that the website it should informed us about the construction going on. No never did!!!!!
The hotel looked nothing like the webpage are the beautiful pictures of what the hotel should look like. All pools were closed
After speaking with the manager who was very nice to me and did her best Tom accommodate me
I Moved to their sister hotel. In order to get the peace and quiet in the dream vacation I needed and in a stress free environment . The increase of cost to just my hotel stay was $1000- $2000.
Which I had no choice do or I would ve left the Westin more stressed out than the day I arrived
So by doing this I was not able to do any activities or enjoyed Maui like I had to hope too,
Or get to go out to any of the nice restaurants and experience their fine cuisine.
All my money had to go to a different hotel to get some peace.
What a disappointing experience.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Always have stayed at the beach tower until April this year. This time I got room 691, a "Executive Suite" (second most expensive room in the Resort). The unit is a front ocean view which is also a corner unit. The corner and largest portion of the unit is on the black rock side/ Whalers Village. This was my experience on night # 1, drunk van bouncing off different object in parking lot. Then at 545 am a sewage pumping truck sucking sewage with a high pitch loud pump. Woke us all up. I have been here 4 nights. Every night the same. This morning is Easter morning and last night there were a bunch of people fighting in parking lot and then topped off with police and a ambulance at 630 this morning. I am paying $800/night. The management doesn't seem to care one way or another.

Stopped by Westin to get some fries but the power went out. So no food for us. That being said, we stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it. The slide is awesome and the staff and rooms are great. I'd say the only downside is the pool bar staff aren't the most attentive people

Pros: Great location and right next to a beach, towel change out process was nice and quick for pool/beach, concierge was helpful, a luau event is hosted at the hotel Cons: Valet parking only for the time being which was very time consuming and busy

Stayed at Westin Maui for 8 days with my husband ...

Stayed at Westin Maui for 8 days with my husband last week. Unfortunately, we were not pleased with our stay or our hotel room. For the amount of money people are spending to stay here the rooms are hideous. I can easily compare these rooms to a Motel 6 room. Very old room with old carpet and old bedding. On top of that self parking is a total of $30 per day and valet parking $45 per day. Having rented a vehicle, we were charged an additional $360 on top of what we had already paid to stay. They do not notify you about this until check in process is complete. We also had to deal with a few more incidents during our stay. Room did not come with a microwave, we had to pay an additional $20 for that. The mini fridge that comes with room did not work well. Unfortunately food and drinks were not kept cold like they should be and some of our food items expired and had to be thrown out. We had plumbing issues with the toilet and sink which was mentioned to an employee but was never looked at. We had to fix the issue ourselves. Another two incidents we had, were with a lamp that kept going out and our shower door not closing all the way which resulted in water being spilled out onto the floor during showers. We once again called the front desk and this time someone actually came up but both issues were brushed off and not fixed. Only good thing I can say about this place is that the swimming pools and ocean views were beautiful. The valet guys were very nice and sweet. It was a pleasure speaking and seeing them everyday. Last but not least Junior and Chris who run the bar by the swimming pool were absolutely amazing! Maui is my husband and I favorite place on earth, so it was definitely disappointing to have a stay like this. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at the Westin Maui again and we do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms and other issues that have been brought up need to be updated and looked into. Stay elsewhere on Maui, so many other places a lot better for half of what you would pay here.

Very average for the price. Restaurant has limited menu and the staff certainly does not overwhelm you with their hospitality. Hyatt is much better for higher end stays and Kaanapali Beach is better for hospitality.

We were for 5 nights guests, beautiful outdoor area, extensive and delicious breakfast, rooms are large and clean, 3 bars which at different times have happy hour, there is a shuttle service to the city, round trip, from the afternoon every hour to 22 Clock, with this hotel makes no mistake
