Except one helpful person, everyone else from general manager, sales managers, finance manager, and most sales staff are very rude and not helpful at all. I will never send anyone to this store and people that actually wanted to buy there I have sent elsewhere and made sure not to buy with this store. Never again will I deal with crooks and people with no heart. Only money matters for these people. I know where else I m going after my lease is over at this location.

The service group are nice but.... I dropped off my vehicle to get OEM fog lights installed in October. The lights were installed but not programmed. So basically, they don t function. The reason for not (as I was told) was the laptop used is not functional. The service rep put a note that I need to drop off the car at a later date when they have the laptop repaired. Additionally, I was informed that they will be calling me once this service laptop gets repaired.
To date, I didn t get that promised call. However, I dropped off the vehicle to get oil changed and I was hoping to get the fog ligh programmed.
Guess what, the laptop is never repaired and I was told it s a VW issue... well, the head of the repair team has done nothing to follow up and get that issue resolved. I will be dropping off the car again this coming week as instructed but I doubt they will get it fixed and I expect the vehicle to be staying there for some time...
If they can t get this laptop to be repaired, at a minimum they should contact other VW dealers in the area and get the car done. It s a shame that I have been waiting for almost 6 months to get this fog light to be repaired...

Great selection, awesome staff! Traveling in from Western New York to purchase a vehicle, I was greeted by Riadh. He was great, he took me around the lot to show me a few different cars I was in the market for, got all the keys and said, take em around a little, when you find the one you like, i'll get you plates. Very low pressure, very knowledgeable, gave me all the time I needed to think and push buttons. He made the process easy, answered my 100s of questions, and was able to work with me to finalize the sale. Next, I worked with the financial wiz Perry. Super awesome guy, explained everything to me in simple terms, made sure all the paperwork was in order and I was driving new car off the lot that same day. All around great service, great experience, highly recommended place to do business .
I've been coming to this dealership for 10 years and I've had the best service reps from Erin, Leon and Ray. Even the sales are not as high pressure as other dealerships I've experienced when purchasing a new car.

Was going to buy a CPO VW CC. I said throw in floor mats and they'd have a deal. They turned it down! This is a typical high pressure sales office that will throw four squares at you and try to screw you in any way. Don't try to bring a trade in because they won't come close to blue book trade value. Wanted to give me about 8k less than the trade value. Went to Jack Taylor's and got an Avalon Limited with lower miles, newer, and even floor mats for a few grand less. And they paid to the penny for the trade. There are a few good dealers out there and this is not one of them.
I had a great experience at this VW dealership. As a young 20 something who is very new to the world of car buying/leasing, I've always been nervous about car dealerships, fearing that I'm the prime target to be taken advantage of. The people at Sheehy VW did everything but that - they were so helpful and supportive and patient with me. I knew I wanted to lease a 2015 Tiguan and I was speaking with a few dealerships, but the customer service here was the reason why I ended up coming in and making a deal. Zack, the salesperson I was working with, was so helpful and the fact that he was able to discuss things via text made a huge difference with my busy schedule. The general sales manager, John, spent the good part of his Friday evening on the phone fighting to make sure I'd walk out with the deal we negotiated. It really seemed like the entire staff stepped up to make sure I would get in the car I loved, with all the trimmings I wanted at the price I needed. It's my first lease and I feel great about it. Super impressed and super excited about my new car!
I just learned that I was scammed by the Sheehy VW Finance Dept. The price of my 2017 GTI was so low because of the TDI Diesel scam that I asked for the works. There were one or two things I didn't select, but I definitely wanted VW Care. I haven't lived in one place more than 6 years and NoVA was no different. My ex-wife passed away and I moved to Michigan so my kids could stay in place (to add stability). New job, new everything. I took my car in for the 40,000 service only to find Sheehy scammed me. They sold me a local Sheehy maintenance plan instead of VW Care. The first guy I talked to said if I was still on active duty I could get a rebate on the Sheehy maint. plan. Unfortunately, I'm retired and that isn't a solution to their bait and switch. His offer was a distraction to the real problem, that they scammed me. No denial, just a garbage offer for a rebate I didn't qualify for. The sale manager on duty said the woman from their Finance doesn't work there anymore. He didn't deny they switched my service plan. I told him I was never offered the Sheehy plan, because I told them I wanted the VW Care. I was clear. The woman covered the VW Care with me, not Sheehy's plan that isn't nationwide. After trying to blame a former employee the manager asked me if I read the contract. Honestly, instead of dealing with the issue, he started to blame me. I explained there was no reason to read the contract, as I wanted the moon. The base price of the vehicle after rebates was under $18K. I was replacing a $68K F-150, the VW car payment would be half my Ford payment. I wanted the works. I even told the guy here in MI, they threw in a VIP Plan because I bought a prepaid maintenance package. Why, because that's what I was told. Instead, I got screwed by trusting that in wanting just about everything the Finance girl offered me, I couldn't be taken advantage of. Boy was I wrong. Their corporate sales representative offered me an apology, said there was nothing they could do for me, and just like everyone else I spoke to, did not deny the practice. VW USA doesn't care because each dealership is independently owned. Though Sheehy could be stealing from every manufacturer, by substituting Sheehy plans for manufacturer plans like they did to me, VW offered no remedy. This is my last VW and thankfully my last time dealing with Sheehy. I'm no where near Sheehy now, but apparently I have to pay for a worthless Sheehy maintenance plan until I can ditch this car. Thanks for the scam Sheehy. Nothing better than walking into a $700+ bill for something that was supposed to be prepaid. BUYER BEWARE with Sheehy.
I m done with this service department. I ve had numerous issues in the past but now, I went specifically to get a part replaced. I made the appointment over the phone told them specifically what I needed done. I spoke to two people, they said they would have the part. I arrived and they acted like they had no idea, weren t sure, but they would check. Also would get my oil changed while there. Waited almost 3 hours, turns out they didn t have the part. So yeah, I took the day off work and sat for 3 hours at the service center for .... an oil change. And when I got in my car to leave my seat was completely rearranged - height, back support everything - and way worded my brakes are squeaking. You shouldn t have touched the brakes!!! Freaking ridiculous. Your service center and dealership will no longer be receiving my money.

I was able to do everything and have all questions answered via text message and email. Flew into the local airport, was picked up by the sales person,Scott O'Brien, and it was a very easy process. Next time I buy a new car, I will be traveling again, I live 750mi away and had to drive 12hr to get home. Totally worth it.

We have bought several cars from this and other Sheehy dealerships over the years. Brought our 2014 VW Passat in for a service today and ended up trading it for another car. I am a regular negotiator, daily, and I can tell you that little had to be done today to get a GREAT deal. This dealership has really come-up over the years and each experience with them has only increased from service-to-service and transaction-to-transaction. Mohamud Ali was my sales consultant for this transaction and honestly, probably the best I have worked with. As an educated finance "guy," who frequently trades personal cars, I can say that Mohamud and the sales/finance staff/management really know the business and also know how to deal with "car business" educated customers. I had an excellent experience purchasing my Jetta from Sheehy VW in Springfield VA. Highly recommend Minto (Min) Kong to assist with your purchase of a vehicle. There were no surprises from what he quoted on the phone for price or the vehicle. Felt no pressure from Min while test driving multiple vehicles and examining the vehicles for defects. He was extremely patient during the entire process and at no time did I feel rushed, even though the dealer was closing. Min was adept to working with multiple customers but always responsive to my needs and concerns. He made my car search and buying experience very pleasant.

To begin Marcos(Mechanic) was amazing to help me and save me last minutes. To begin about this dealership Khashi, Samim, and AJ were the nicest sales and finance associates that made the process of buying a new car smoother than the ride of the car itself. Amazing job. They all need a raise to be honest. To top it all off, Leon was one of the most understanding service advisors when it came to my car s CPO issue and helped so much. And finally, Marcos, probably the best mechanic I ve ever seen to exist. The shop was closed but I have an hour drive from my house, and I had oil issues plus a check engine light error thatneeded to be cleared. He took the time to go out of his way to help me clear the code and get everything fixed. Marcos needs a raise and a bonus just because how nice he is and how amazing he is to even deny something in return when I insisted and asked him to. He is just incredible and he was smiling even though it was not something he was supposed to do, but he decided to help. I appreciate him so much because he saved me.

My GTI was aggressively priced and they gave me a reasonable price on my trade-in. Negotiate on extras--I used a "divide MSRP by 2.5" rule for the extras when bargaining. Great staff--very helpful folks. Very much a better experience than the place up the street.

You know everything was amazing at first. Sales man was awesome. Then everything took a turn for the worst. We get into the finance department after waiting 2 1/2 hours (which we paid in cash so there was no reason for us to wait that long, expecially when we were the only customers there.) Anyways finance lady says the buyer of the car can leave so she left. Then they come back saying she needs to come back or you won t get the truck. Then pro seeded to say very rude things after they messed up. Then we leave with the truck and now we keep greeting threatening text messages saying they better have the title of the truck we traded in or we will have problems. (When the finance lady said we could send it in within 10 days. It s only been 3) this is so ridiculous. Go else where not worth the drama and problems.

Recently bought a car over the weekend. I went back and forth between two VW dealerships but ultimately went with Sheehy VW in Springfield. I worked with Kash who went out of his way to help me find the car I was looking for. I had a million questions and concerns, but he was very patient and professional throughout it all. I actually wanted a different car than what we discussed hours for and then last minute changed my mind to a different model, but both Kash and the Sales Manager were really nice about it.

This dealership is the worst one I've ever seen they sell me a used mustang and they sed no accident in the car and it have a new carfax but after 5 days i went to service my car and they told me my car has been rebuilt and i was shocked i went back to the dealership and the general manager sed go and do whatever you want I'm not gonna fix your car.!!!

I've been going to Sheehy VW since it was owned by previous management. The new team is definitely customer oriented. The car I was looking for (Golf R) is in-demand and tough to get; my sales advisor (Zach) -- a VW enthusiast knowledgable of all upgrades to the cars out there -- kept me updated regularly via text messages and called me the instant that their dealer had an allocation. Literally two hours later they managed to get the car assigned to me (in transit from Germany) and help me lock in a great rebate. The sales manager (John M.) is a VW enthusiast as well and came over to speak to me multiple times. My financial closer (Kelly) got things done fast and was great to talk to. It was a zero BS transaction and they were open about everything going on. All-in-all this is definitely a dealership where they KNOW VW and are happy to work with you to get you in the right car.
The tail lights of my car did not work. I took it to dealership, first thing I was told was there will be a $130 fee for them to diagnose what was wrong with the car. I agreed to it, later I received a call to tell me that some electrical component needed to be replace for $ 1,200++. Later I took the car to a local garage, where it was determined that a fuse needed to be replaced, at the cost of $40. In the past I bought 2 cars from them a Nissan Rouge a Volkswagen Jetta. Never again...be aware when taking your car service....true meaning if car salesman.
Absolutely atrocious astronomically painful to salesmen that me and my wife talked to we're not there then third that we finally got to help us was so nonchalant about it couldn't even be bothered to get up from his desk barely long enough to put a dealer tag into the two vehicles that we test drove one of which was so badly damaged that we looked at each other and were disgusted that they wanted $18,000 + $1,200 in dealer fees plus all their garbage extra fees do not buy a vehicle from them go somewhere else one save your money and then the head honcho comes out there as I'm trying to take pictures of the busted up vehicle screaming at me forget about it I had a check 4 / $34,000 ready to go waste of time
After searching for a new vehicle at multiple other dealerships, I can honestly say the personal service from De Maryo and the management at Sheehy Volkswagen in Springfield was refreshing and very much appreciated. I highly recommend speaking with De Maryo when you get there.
Mohamud Ali have me a great deal. He made the process very quick and easy. He's very reliable and I was able response quickly to emails and phone calls. I will be back again to get another car for my daughter. I even referred my mom to mohamud Ali and sheehy VW for a new Jetta.
Bad for DC buyers. The sales staff was helpful, but the financing and accounting staff were the worst. They screwed up the DC parking and registration and were rude and unresponsive about it. Buy from somewhere else and don't do parking registration with them. Huge hassle - I'm at day 45 and still waiting.
Overall, we had a good experience with Sheehy VW. Another VW dealership in the area was unnecessarily difficult so we decided to try Sheehy. They didn't have the color we preferred so they traded with Stohlman VW to make sure we got the color we wanted. I would say we got a decent price for our VW that we were happy with. Only complaint is that we signed forms stating the odometer reading was 21 miles when it was actually 203. We could have waited to inspect the vehicle when it arrived from Stohlman so that's on us. Still happy with our purchase and experience.

Muhammad Ali was great. Drove all the way down from Baltimore to buy a car with my 5 yr old in tow. I asked him to make sure everything was set for us to be in and out and it was.
I have a VIP Contract and every time that I take my car for an oil change after setting up an appointment, they never have my oil filter. This time, while preparing for a trip, the day after my last oil change, I found the battery connector in terrible condition. Only needed one cup of water and a brush to clean. They told me that they were going to check and and service the car. Never done.
My partner and I went to Sheehy VW in Springfield about a bit more than a month ago. It was the first time for us to buy a new car after using two used cars for years. We knew we wanted VW Passat but we were not sure about which of the two models with what kinds of options.
We were contacted by Scott O Brien to go and see and drive the car in the dealership. It was late in the evening but Scott kindly and patiently listened to us and answered our questions and made suggestions without being pushy in any way. He showed us a new Passat SE which we liked except that the car had a small spoiler on it. We didn t care for the spoiler and after a bit of waiting decided not to buy it. It turned out that they didn t have a SE model with our favorite color. But with Scott s help, they were able to bring a new Passat SE with the exact features that we had in mind from another Sheehy dealership. We signed the contract and came back to pick up the car the next day. The whole process took less than two hours thanks to Scott and the attentive staff in the dealership.

Sheehy caught my attention with a great price and delivered with a smooth closing (with no surprises). Sal was great and my toddler even got a new toy car out of the deal. My wife was also impressed with the new showroom facilities.
Got help from Hussein with my new GTI. I called him up and asked if they had a specific one that I saw on their website in stock. Set up a meeting the next day and had the exact GTI model and color I wanted. Deal was made and got helped out by Mohammad for the finance, it went smoothy and wasn't pressured into anything (this is a plus for me), and got the rate that I wanted.
Also Hussein was very helpful even after the purchase with questions and information. He replied to emails fast and efficiently and came through in the clutch. Mohammad Ali also helped in any finance questions I had.
My experience at Sheehy Volkswagen was an amazing first one! Minho Kong guided me through all the steps of purchasing my first vehicle. He gave great advice and answered all my questions, and showed a great deal of patience as I considered my choices over a number of days. He was cautious and considerate of my limited amount of time, and worked with me to get me in and out in a quick manner. I would highly recommend Sheehy VW and Minho!
I bought a used vehicle from Sheehy VW at the beginning of June, and while the sales experience was sufficiently pleasant, the follow-up work was lackluster and very frustrating.
As per our deal, Sheehy was responsible for ordering a specific part for my car, as well as for handling the registration of the vehicle. Unfortunately, although I had assumed that, as a large dealership, they would be proficient and used to doing this, they utterly failed. I called 5 times over the course of two weeks, trying to reach the salesperson in charge of following up on my purchase (Jonathan Routt). On top of that, I sent several emails, including to the Used Car manager. By the end of the month -- at a point at which my temporary plates were about to expire, and almost a month after I had been told that the part had been ordered, I finally began to CC the General Manager of the store on my emails, and I left multiple voicemails on every possible manager's phone (although, unfortunately, most of them had full voicemail boxes). Soon thereafter, I heard from John Mercer, who began to set things in motion, such as the registration (which from talking to the department in charge of that was at the very bottom of the pile, despite the car having been bought almost a month prior) and the part (which had somehow never been ordered, despite promises that it had been.)
Eventually, it all got settled, I received the plates and the part, and seemingly everything is fine. However, I never received a follow-up call from the management there or from the salesperson; I understand that that's not necessary, but given the hassle that I went through to get anything done -- all things that should have been done with zero prompting, I might note -- I did expect some sort of follow up.
In short, I can't recommend buying a car from here. I found this dealer to have absymal and unacceptable customer service, and I wouldn't want anyone reading this to have to go through all of the hoops -- the weeks of constant phone calls and emails as well as the stress that that adds -- that I did in order to get everything in order.
Background: I bought my M7 GTI at Heritage VW in the Catonsville MD area in late 2014 and after moving to VA I started servicing the car at this dealer's service center. I've been coming here for about 2 years now (approx.) and I'd expect that they treat loyal customers like gold, considering there are so many other service options in the area. I cannot continue to patronize Sheehy's service center after my most recent experience.
So here's the deal: I've invested $$$$ in this car in the last year, including $2k+ in new wheels alone + performance mods. So, I care about my car. I'd expect my car to be taken care of at a service center, whether it's a speciality shop or a dealer. Not the case here. Came here two weeks ago for a 50k servicing, and they said I needed an alignment so I agreed to the work. I picked up the car same-day and all seemed fine. However, it was dark when I got home and I didn't drive it for two days after due to the random November snowstorm we had. It wasn't until several days after I'd picked it up from their shop that I noticed the wheel(s) were scratched - one of them had significant damage (curb rash). Now, when you get curb rash, you FEEL AND HEAR IT. I did it on my old wheels so I speak from experience. That was not the case here; I hadn't hit anything since I had the wheels put on in July and I wash my car weekly and I pay attention to these things so I am certain I did not do this. But, since I didn't take pics of the car before dropping it off and therefore couldn't be "100%" sure it was their fault, it was my word against theirs. I had to take an afternoon off work (in MD) to drive here & have Ray (one of the service techs) take a look at the damage and was told "we didn't do this," even though the yellow paint in the wheel scratch MATCHED yellow paint in their shop on the rails/curbs. What they could offer me was a repair ($175+ per wheel) and I could drop it off at a later date to have their 3rd party company come in to do the repair work. How is that helpful when I can arrange for the fix on my own - with a company of my choice? Thanks, but no thanks.
Conclusion: I left Sheehy, called my performance shop who happily gave me the contact information for their wheel repair company; called them and made an appointment for them to do the fix and they will come to me which is so much more convenient. And, they guarantee their work.
Next Steps: Buh-bye Sheehy. You lost a loyal customer over a few hundred bucks. I will be taking my car elsewhere going forward.
Takeaway: Go spend your $$ at a place that actually cares about its customers.
Upon my last visits to service Leon King has been exceptional and outstanding. I also appreciate the clear communication and follow through amongst the team members. Purchased a 2019 VW Beetle from Aras Monday. My husband and I drove almost 4 hours from WV to buy from this dealership. There were a lot of emails and phone calls. Aras was very patient and returned phone calls and followed up with emails. When we arrived Aras met us at the door. We had come to an agreement on the out the door price before traveling this distance. We knew the color and features we wanted. We were not able to find any closer dealers that could get any other dealer to give one up. The car is beautiful and just like pictured on their website. We had gone over and supplied a lot of information before arriving. The reasons for 3 stars are because of the following reasons:
None of the features on our car were explained. Aras was trying to wait on us and another customer at the same time. No one else offered to spend time explaining any features. We went to our local VW dealer Wednesday. They spent about a half hour telling and showing us about our new car.
After we had agreed on the out the door price, we were told by AJ that it might change because of taxes. He explained that Sheehy uses an outside source to come up with taxes on purchases for out of state rates. We were told that the amount we were being charged could be higher or lower than what was on the sales agreement. If they are higher that he would be letting us know we owed them more money. I really have a problem with them using an outside company that cannot give them the amount of taxes due. Why use a company that is not to be trusted to come up with a correct amount.
I read one review from another customer who was still waiting to be able to get their own permanent state plates to replace the temp plates from VA. After we had finished with our paperwork AJ told us we will have to call him 5 days before our temps run out because he will have to send another set. Told us the VA temporary tags will run out at least once before our WV plates arrive.....Hope this does not turn out like the other review.
The car had not been detailed. The interior had sand on the floor under the front floor mat. The interior is beige. There were dirty marks on the interior door handles and on the sides of the doors. We spent Tuesday cleaning, waxing and detailing. All of the marks and dirt came off. Also had to wash drivers floor mat. Full of sand and had what looked like garage grim on it.

Riadh was a very kind and helpful salesperson. We saw a car online that we were interested in, came in, test drove it, and were on our way with a new car 2 hours later. Would highly recommend.
I was inquiring about a 2011 Jetta online and about 15 minutes later I receive a text from Eric Ochoa he listened to what I request and he text me pictures of the car the next day as promised. my boyfriend and I went in the next day and the car was already out front ready for us test drive! we ended up getting a different car but the service Eric provided was outstanding. he did not pressure us into getting the car, very patient, and super knowledgable. if you need a salesman to see that will work with you in financial terms or finding the perfect car that fits your wants and needs please go see him you won't be disappointed! Also, Kelly the finance director was super helpful and didn't mind explaining things that we didn't understand more than once. These two are both great aspects to this company!!
Wow...this team has really impressed me! From my initial contact with Zack, to having my car checked out two months later, I can say they have exceeded my expectations. Not only did Zack let us walk away and think about our decision without pushing us, he made sure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase when I came back. The sales manager, Hussein, addressed some concerns I had with my car a full two months later and was quick and professional. I purchased a vehicle at this location last week and was very disappointed with the level of service I received. I traded my vehicle in and purchased a 2015 Acura RDX. I was the last customer of the night and my transaction seemed a bit rushed (as I drove off the lot the salesman had even left my keys on the roof). After getting home the next day and removing the liners they put as floor mats, I noticed my front passsenger mat was missing. I checked the trunk and back seats just to make sure. When I called to inquire how they were going to handle and replace I get the complete run around ( transferred to numbers I can't leave voicemails and being hung up on). Finally I was contacted by a service manager Chris G. But still no resolution or results. With the time and money spent I was very surprised that this was not resolved and how the entire situation was handled . All I'm asking for is a mat that should have been there in the first place !
