I am a Volkswagen fan, I love Volkswagen despite their TDI scandal.. However bought my 2015 VW Passat here and everything went well... until I had an issue with the car which has yet to be resolved. Everyone here is nice and genuinely cares about your concerns and hears you out however there are a few employees who do not.. streer clear from service department if you don't see Erin or Ben Ong! They are probably the only two who have me coming back they're very professional and have patience to hear you out and help you! Their sales staff is nice too:)

Fredy Romero was great, picked me up at the Marta and reimbursed my train ticket. He was great making sure everything in the photos was in the car (i.e., mats) when I purchased it. Great kid, played midfield in soccer so he knows how to work continuously for the goal of getting you great service.

Sheehy - It's Easy! -- Yes its easy to buy a car from Sheehy, Ron is very professional and very experienced. We agreed on the price over the phone and went into the dealership around 8:00 PM and all the paper was ready to sign for the price agreed upon, not like other dealers they didn't start over the negotiation again.
Kelly from finance another excellent person even though they close at 9:00 PM she was not in a rush, explained all the questions we asked and make sure we understand everything during the process.

Just purchased my second VW from Sheehy (2017 Alltrack), again with a great experience. Khash and John were extremely helpful, responsive and straight forward in setting up the purchase, which made for super simple and pleasant experience at the dealership. On a side note, the dealership itself has a very nice facility with a good lounge setup -- especially great when you have a 2-year old with little patience for car shopping.

I needed to get my car serviced, as I was concerned with my brakes. Hugo was my service advisor and he did an excellent job. He answered all of my questions (lots of them) and went out of his way to keep things simple for me. He was honest, direct, and even had a great sense of humor! (which always helps when you're dealing with the stress associated with car repairs)

Even before I brought my car in for service, I was pleased with how easy it was to make an appointment. Sheehy uses a web-based appointment system that is fast, easy and straight to the point. All in all, I am very happy with my experience! (and I'm not easy to please lol)

Couldn't believe how easy it was getting a car here. I was in contact with almost every local VW dealership and this was the only one that was open and upfront with their pricing. I maybe could have gotten a slightly better deal at another dealer but Sheehy's price was fair and didn't have any of the headaches from the other dealers. I definitely would recommend them.

The Sales Department exceeds expectations. The Service Department is terrible. Rarely do they fix anything the first time around. After four tries and driving my car 121 miles they still can't seem to fix the vibration felt in the steering wheel and rear passenger seat. I have purchased three cars from John Hulme and Scott O'Brien. They are a dynamic team and their professionalism is unparalleled. The knowledge that Scott has regarding the vehicles offered by VW is excellent and his honest sales approach is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise hostile sales industry. Found a car I wanted and asked to have it sent to another Sheehy dealership. Got the run around for two days and then they asked me to drive over an hour to their dealership to buy it instead. When I tried to talk to the General Manager they told me he would get my message and call me back. Guess who never called. I have bought card from other Sheehy dealerships with out an issue, and love my VWs but I will not be doing business with this dealership.

The best prices on the east coast. Other dealers show you a low price and add a ton of fees later this dealer gives you the real low price with no hidden fees later and their customer service is incredible.

I ve been going to Sheehy Volkswagen for over two or more years now. I have had my share of VW dealership not caring, getting over, or just doing the bare minimal to my car. I currently own a 2004 VW Passat W8 6spd 4motion and every time I visited two other dealership I always heard the same response YOUR CAR IS RARE AND WE DO NOT HAVE PARTS IN STOCK FOR YOUR MODEL . Well I heard this so much it was becoming annoying to say the least. After my failed attempts at the other dealership I decided to move on to Sheehy VW and was taking back by the service that I received. I was not use to the kind of service, service advisors helping me, the service manager making sure I have been helped. Sucks to say the other places just looked at me like I was a poor man just standing in their service area to get air condition. Not here, I never heard them say my car was rare (I already knew this). They were just amazed at how well I kept my car up. Anyway I like the service here because the first time I went to them they told me some things where wrong with my car that the other places did not tell me and even showed me. Plus offered me a loaner and a discount if I decided to get the work done there. All I know is this VW dealership makes sure your car is working at its best but does not try to break the bank while doing it.

I came in on the Friday before labor day and looked at some cars. I spoke with Ron Sowell and told him what I was looking for and would be back the next day. I returned on Saturday and spoke with Ron. He was personable, knowledgeable and efficient.. I got the car I wanted. There was no pressure and no going back and forth on price. He made this car experience a plus. To put the icing on the cake, Vanessa in Financing was efficient and I was not there all night long. I would definitely come back and I recommend this dealership and sales team to those searching for a car.

Wife bought a car at Sheehy VW the week before, and wow....what an experience! Our salesman Johnathan was extremely knowledgeable and walked her through all the controls and such. She ended up falling for a 2016 GTI. I also did a bit of homework, this place has the best deals in at least 100 miles of DC for any new VW. -Do you research ahead of time. Know what you are willing to pay for the vehicle before you go in, I was happy using truecar and their price.
-Carefully parse all financial documents and make sure you understand all additional features and options you are buying
-You will always be better served by having researched your own financing, discount, warranty, and GAP-style options so that you can compare what the dealer is offering to what else is available in the market. In the end, Sheehy was able to meet or beat almost all of these for me.

I HIGHLY recommend this dealership to friends and family, and would not hesitate to purchase there again.

I was driving to NYC from NC when my windshield wiper fluid wasn't working and driving in the snow became very difficult. I stopped at a different Volkswagen and they turned me away rudely saying they were too busy. Luckily I called Sheehy Volkswagen and they were able to get me in ASAP. Walked in to the store, tried the new Jetta, the testing driving part was alright, but the salesperson did not explain anything to us and just ride alone with us for the whole ride. When we went back and discuss the price option, dude doesn't even want to talk to us and want to force us into some deals. I understand it was a long day we came in late around 7:30 pm, but I think we treat the salesperson like we are the salesperson. Definitely not going back there. Show some professionalism in the work place.

I just bought a used VW. If you go ask for Aras.He is a great non-pushy salesman that was very helpful and made my car buying experience enjoyable.

I traveled all around the DMV area trying to find a decent used GTI. Every one that I looked at was either out of my price range or in bad shape. I finally found one that looked good at Sheehy. Though, it turned out they had sold that car earlier in the day. Just when I was about to give up and go home to Richmond, a salesman suggested I look at leasing a new one. I didn't think I could afford that and my credit wasn't the best. They were the first out of probably 10 dealerships that day that wanted to make it work for me. I told them what I could afford and they said they would try their best. An hour later, I was signing the paperwork for my 2014 GTI. I will definitely be back. They are worth the drive!

I would say I know a lot about cars and did a substantial amount of research before choosing to FINALLY purchase my vehicle. I was afraid to walk into any dealership and talk about numbers as I look like a typical person who could easily be taken advantage of (5 foot, white 20 year old, no credit, buying a jetta..). After searching online and going to multiple dealerships, I called Sheehy and Mike pulled the car I found online. It (and him) was waiting for me to arrive! I had absolutely no credit and needed to finance a bit. The numbers they showed me for my monthly payments were exactly what I was imagining and included everything (title, registration, fees, taxes, etc.) so when I signed all the papers in the financing office there were no extra numbers, fees or gimmicks added on. I am pleased with my purchase (2013 gold Jetta 2.5L SE) and with the service I was provided with :) I already recommended someone to go check the place out that is looking to buy a used jetta.

Today I went to look at a GLI here and I was introduced to David Woelk and he was happy to take me on a test drive. Needless to say, I walked out with that same car I test drove. David wasn't pushy at all, (which I have never found while shopping for cars). He let me take my time and run numbers while doing research and never became impatient. This made it much easier to make a big decision like this and I made certain I wasn't a lay down. He made sure that I was well taken care of through the whole process and he was there every step of the way. I probably asked him a thousand questions and he was quick to respond and showed me he was extremely knowledgeable. Long story short, if you come here to buy a car, ask for David because he is the type of person that understands getting a car is not easy and it takes time. I have always taken my VWs to Sheehy for service, and this is the first time I picked up a car from them and I will be definitely going back. I write this review not only because of customer service, but because they truly did give me a great deal and I left feeling like we came to an agreement that both party's truly benefited from. Buying a car is a tricky and exhausting process but sometimes you just know when it is the right deal (rarely). Overall, I recommend Sheehy over the other VW dealers in this area, they are all squared away and actually put effort into making sure everyone is happy. I know this from visiting other VW dealers multiple times and Sheehy takes number one in my book.

I bought an atlas from them and then a GTI. The GTI was as a return customer, which is all you really need to know. Ask for Charles, he's super chill and no pressure, I like his style and he is comfortable to work with.

I live in Michigan and was looking for a VW JETTA SPORTWAGEN TDI out West and the prices were a little higher and getting it back to (Fenton) Michigan was going to add another $800-1000,00 to the cost, and I also needed the car unfortunately immediately.
So I went through different channels into looking up for what I was looking for. Sheehy VW of Springfield Virginia had exactly what I was looking for. The cost, color-both interior/exterior, mileage and all the other options.
I got with Eric, I believe is the internet sales representative and he also works the floor and we text and talked over the phone (over a 3-4 day period) , going over all the car and whatever goes with buying a car.
Eric made it easy, and we put things together with the help of others (co-workers).
I setup a flight to Virginia and flow in (DCA) and was there (@ the dealership) Saturday morning 2/23/2019 @ 11:15.
Eric, Perry, and the young Lady got me out of the dealership around 2 ish and I drove home safe around 12:00am.
Eric asked me to text him when I get home, which I did.
Thank you all, for those who even spared me the $1.00 for the machine so I could get something to drink, because the cash box didn t have change for $20.00.

Although the service seems to be done quickly, there is something fishy going on with the inspection reports. They are supposed to make a 30 point inspection to your vehicle whenever you are servicing and print it out at the end, same time with your invoice. However that never happened.
Last time I asked specifically for it and they printed a blank one with no check marks on it, so I have literally no idea what state my car is in. Is there anything wrong with the coolant, with the tires, brake pads? Or did they even perform the inspection in the first place? Something seems shady about that.

Excellent service, Aras helped me look through many options and find the right one for me. He even got me a great deal, would defiantly recommend it to anyone and would come here again without a second thought. Thank you Aras.

Super experience! In general I do not like dealing at car dealerships, I do not like haggling, but prior to this visit I did a lot research and a lot of homework. I worked with Frank Calderon and dealt with him entirely via email up until the day I went to the dealership to make the deal. Even though Frank is relatively new to this dealership, he was not new to the selling cars and making the customer happy with not only the deal made but the entire experience.
No one likes sitting at a dealership for hours, better to make the deal quick and at a fair price. I believe the deal was fair and at a great price.
I cannot rate service department yet, but so far from what I have seen, I am very happy with the purchase with very limited pressure. If you're looking for a good dealership and a great VW, go see Frank Calderon at Sheehy VW.

Just got 2016 GTI. I am giving 4 stars because, I had a bad experience with the used-car manager Sid, who had come in to try and close the deal on the first day. He was unprofessional, rude, interrupted everything I said, only cared about what was good for him. I was not having it, l told him upfront & then he got all huffy about it. He is stuck in his old car salesman ways & needs to adhere to the new up an coming generations. However, my personal sales rep Khash was very professional, patient, knowledgable, and easy to work with. John Mercer the General Sales Manager was able remedy the issue/situation with the other manager. Khash & John were absolutely fantastic & I would highly recommend working through both of them. They were the reason why I came back to close the deal. Also, Kelly the financial manager was fabulous! Very pleasant, smart, organized & informative. Thank you John & Khash you both a very good at what you do! I love my new GTI!!!

Min and the rest of the team at Sheehy VW of Springfield are wonderful! We've now officially bought VWs at all 3 of the local dealerships (Alexandria & Tysons previously) and can say with 100% confidence that this is the best VW dealership in the area! They genuinely care about you and your needs instead of just trying to get the sale. The service department is just as great as the sales team and we're looking forward to taking our future service needs to them, even though the Alexandria dealership is closer to us.

The only reason I am giving two stars, instead of one is because my salesman Jorge was great! He was kind, easy to work with and new his stuff. I bought a 2018 Tiguan and am really enjoying the vehicle. When buying the vehicle I traded my car in which I had $6000 equity in. I was told by Perry in finance that they would get the deal processed and I would receive the check back in the mail within a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks went by and still no check, and the loan company withdrew the next months payment from my trade (my fault as I should of stopped payments). I get in touch with Perry, and he says they need more paperwork to be filled in and asks my wife and I to sign and send it back. (Not sure how long it would of taken to find this out if I hadn't follow up myself!) I then get some BS story from Perry explaining their process and how it takes up to 30 days.(This being after he initially verbally told me a couple of weeks) Having worked in the car sales industry for 10 years, this is complete garbage! Its now been over a month, still no check! I received a letter from the finance company saying the trade was paid off on the 16th of November. Also, avoid Perry like the plague, no one should have to deal with his incompetence!!

I just wanted to start by giving a big thanks to the staff at Sherhy Volkswagen of Springfield. They made my experience there one to remember especially after the very unsatisfactory experience I had at Lindsay Volkswagen.. Aras was wonderful with helping us find a great Passat SEL that met our criteria very well. He was so kind and informative and went above and beyond with every aspect of the process. Employees like Aras are hard to come by and I felt lucky to have him as a sales coordinator and I'm sure he'll have no problem excelling within the company! The young lady who finalized my paperwork was very pleasent as well. They are very down to earth there and at no time did they pressure us in any way. I would highly recommend them and will definitely come back for my next purchase!

I just bought a golf spot wagon from Sheehy Springfield and my experience couldn t be better. Nice, patient and attentive staff that made my experience very nice throughout. Another thing that made my dealings with them great is the fact that they gave me the best price in the market for the car I wanted. My experience with this location had some ups and downs but definitely things for other buyers to be aware of. We purchased our second vehicle from this location - a 2015 Chevrolet Spark I was interested in. We decided to go with Sheehy because I was happier with the salesman we had met with the night before while test driving, Curtis.

It's important to note this dealer adds HUGE "Dealer Prep" fees to their "low prices" which brings it to or ABOVE prices other similar cars when you are sitting down with an invoice. I knew what price I was comfortable paying for and they did meet that price on request but I am still disappointed in such a shady tactic on the part of the dealership. It feels so scammy and dishonest of them.

We were left alone in a small side office for a while and when it came to the financing we were automatically put on a 72 month rather than asking. We were able to change it to 60 month but if we had wanted to get it fixed with
the down payment we initially wanted it would have taken more time and we were there going on 3 hours without a test drive.

The part I'm still a bit peeved about is that I asked multiple times for a second key for the car and said we'd be willing to pay for it, not even asking to negotiate it into the cost. Near the end of the process they just stopped answering about it and we walked out without a plan or mention about getting/ordering/discussing a second key.

It's over, I do love my little car and don't hate my payment but I am not happy with some tactics and customer service here.

Tl:Dr - folks here aren't bad, we do like our car so far, but they have some shady fees so come prepared and also come ready to wait

We went Sheehy VW to buy a Atlas the other day and had a very pleasant experience working with Mohamud Ali. He was very friendly and courteous. He helped us understand some of the new features in the car that we ended up purchasing. It was great doing business with him and Sheehy.

I live 9 hours from the dealership and Aras was prompt in communicating with me and sending the requested photos of specific details of the Sportwagen I was interested in. I feel like he worked with me over the 2 weeks of the transaction professionally. I would purchase from Sheehy and Aras again.
