I bought a car from these guys, but have found them to be rather unprofessional. I received my car without any tags (including dealer tags), and a fair amount of sticky residue on the windows and passenger door. The couple hundred I saved relative to the quote from another dealership was not really worth it (and I imagine pushing a bit harder at Stohlman might have gotten me a price match).
Excellent all around experience dealing with them. Jonathan was willing to work with me over the phone since I live a few hours away. Gave me the best deal I could find on a Golf R. Very efficient experience at point of sale as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Bought a Tiguan here and the salesman was great. The sales manager was awful on browbeating the salesman to sell us stuff we didn't want or need. The worst part was afterwards. It took them 2 months to register our vehicle because the finance people lost the check to cover the cost of the vehicle. We were told this was our fault since "normal people don't pay cash for a car". The after sale experience was hideous and no one bothered to attempt to help.

Worst Experience were. i walk in the dealership looking for a Atlas. instead of first showing me a car the rep started calculation on my trade. Once he was done telling me all the stories i ask him what will he offer on his car , answer was the price online is final. Didn't even bother to show me the. Never experienced such a behavior of a car sale rep. Never going there again.i would have given -1 if possible.

We bought a Passat 2015, not only they gave us the car dirty but their customer service to fix it is awful ! I thought about getting another VW from them but I think I will look for a better experience. Sales manager is not responsive neither the sales rep that told us we can call anytime, no answer, not reply on email, no follow up or response on text messages. You have to go to the "boss" to get a response that do not go farther than apologizing for the inconvenience
My boyfriend and I recently bought a used GLI from Sheehy VW and our sales consultant was NAIM BRYANT - He was amazing throughout the entire process! If you are currently looking to buy a car, you know the search can take time and be quite stressful, however, working with Naim made all of the difference. We called about this specific car at 4PM on a Sunday (and the dealership was closing at 5PM) but Naim said he would be happy to wait up for us and ended up staying until after 7PM to make sure we had all of the information we needed and were fully confident before finalizing our purchase. He was patient, knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. He even walked us through the car's features and showed us how to sync up our phone to the system at the eleventh hour. Ask for him when you go to Sheehy!! (Added bonus - the dealership was a nice facility and the rest of the group was very friendly). We couldn't be happier with our new GLI, but we we are even happier with the experience!
I had been using this dealership for service on my older vehicle and decided to come in to explore purchase and leasing options for my next car. So in love with my new car!!! I worked with Katherine over at Sheehy for a few months. She was very patient with me while I got my life in order to buy my new car. I felt like the folks at Sheehy didn't hassle me, they let me take my time in making my decision. Along the way, Katherine kept me up to date on on any great deals they had going on. I told them my expectations and they were able to get me exactly what I wanted for the price I needed. I would say it was overall, the least stressful car purchase I ever made. Even after the deal was made, Katherine spent a good 30mins showing me how to use my bluetooth and navigation. Again, just being friendly and patient and making the whole car buying experience very satisfying. I will be getting my services done here as well, I am expecting/hoping to continue to recieve such a high quality of service.
Very pleased with our business transaction at Sheehy VW. Our sales consultant, Riadh, was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the Certified 2017 Jetta SE that we test drove and ultimately purchased. The purchase transaction was smooth and Riadh guided us through the process in a timely but thorough manner. We drove our new purchase home after spending a little over 2 hours at the dealer. It was our first visit at Sheehy and I was impressed with the professionalism of all employees that we encountered during the transaction. My experience here was below average at best. I was originally working with another Sheehy store in Alexandria, Sheehy Honda, and they had agreed to dealer exchange a Sheehy Select 2010 F-150 Lariat 4x4 to their location. When they said they could do it Friday, I was later notified on Saturday that I would have to wait until Sunday for the exchange. Understanding the car business from prior experience, I knew this meant that the truck was still on the market - not on hold - and I needed to buy today or else somebody might buy it out from under me. Not a problem. Then I arrive at Sheehy Volkswagen and I am informed that the reason the truck could not be dealer exchanged on Saturday is because their Comptroller was interested in a joint purchase with her husband on Monday and were "thinking about it still." I am all about taking care of your own, but the truck was never listed on hold at Honda, nor was I informed and I have the texts to prove it. I'm familiar with dealer systems and know that when a truck is on hold and out of market on their website it should have been pulled down. Regardless, I was never told at Sheehy Honda, even when I told my salesperson that I was going over to Volkswagen in Springfield. The issues don't end there. When I test drive the truck, it has low tire pressure. OK easy 3 minute fix for them, not a problem. Fast forward when I take delivery of my truck the low tire pressure is still there and the fuel was at 75%. I took another picture at delivery to verify my statement. I understand that my salesperson Ray had other customers but this doesn't excuse delivering a truck that has a warning indicator that is easily rectified - there were other salespersons around to help and if he was cautious about another salesperson asking to split commission over a three minute fix that raises questions in my mind. I brought these two things up with Ray and he said that the gas was Sheehy policy for used vehicles. So, because they aren't new vehicles they don't get 100% gas. Do issues get swept under the rug because they don't have a manufacturers survey that doesn't go to customers ? Even after Ray said he would talk to his manager about the low tire pressure I have not heard anything, nor an update on my second key being shipped for it being a Sheehy Select. I ended up fixing the tire pressure on my own and fixing the rusted tail gate latch with some WD-40 but regardless this leaves a sour taste in my mouth because I know the business and I know how to distinguish between good and bad service and being a former dealer that my friends rely on for advice, I will advise them to steer away from Sheehy because it is evidently clear that there is a fundamental breakdown in communication between Sheehy stores and lackluster used car service that leaves consumers feeling inadequate.
UPDATE 8/24/17: It's been 10 days since I bought the truck and the sales person promised a second set of keys for the truck being a Sheehy Select but they have never sent me any keys yet, nor have they gotten in contact to me about the review I left. The truck ended up having problems with the IWE solenoid and the hub actuators. I recommend if you're looking for a used vehicle that you bring someone along just as qualified to inspect anything used.
I am very pleased not only with the outstanding service , but I have enjoyed driving my new Tiguan. The experience was completely painless. Mohamud Ali a professional sales person and treated me beyond words . Thanks again and we will definitely be recommending friend and family at Sheehy VW.

Frankly the overall experience was good, good coffee, nice bathrooms. Was not a fan of not getting to test drive the vehicle alone, but I understand different dealerships in different states have different rules than others. Salesman Emmanuel was very knowledgeable about the used vehicle we drove along with the new vehicle we ended up leasing. He needs to be a little more asertive. Needed more confidence. This place really was easy to deal with starting with Fredy R in sales. We got here later on a Saturday and they were willing to keep the doors open to give us extra time. We went to another VW dealer Lindsey of Dulles and they had several cars listed on their website without photos, stating coming soon. Unfortunately you could not buy those cars but it was never really explained. We wasted 1.5 hours at that dealer, only saw one car, and found out that if you were not financing with them, they added in a extra $1,000 to their internet price. Already an hour from home, we drove a little farther to Sheehy. Fredy Romero was our salesman, and was very kind and polite. He never felt pushy and was always willing to get us an answer. He let us do everything at our speed, which we enjoyed. We also had dealt with Perry, the used sales manager, who was also kind and polite. He stayed late to help finalize the deal and missed some of his managers dinner. AJ in finance was also great to work with. Overall, we had a great experience here and we would consider this place over any others in the future. Dont waste your time elsewhere, do your self a favor and stop here. Thanks Sheehy!

My tire blew out coming off I-495 to I-95 due to a pothole (They really need to get that offramp fixed!). My car was towed to Sheehy VW and Ray was my Service Rep. Ray was professional and prompt in getting me taken care of. I would recommend him and Sheehy Service dept.

Well, what can I say? I came in looking for a specific car and met a terrific internet sales guy.
He was laid back and did not push or pressure me. He gave me up front details UP FRONT and when I found things wrong with the car, he immediately had it taken care of by professionals. What I liked most is that my work keeps me running around and busy so I tend to overlook sales calls or sometimes fully intending to, i do not; but Tom had me covered. I was in another store replacing my phone and I said give me approximately 30 minutes and call me - 31 minutes later, i got a call - professionalism at its best!
The whole "purchase ordeal" lasted approximately 2.5 hours for me - on a used car nonetheless. Most of that time was spent dealing with my eccentricities and not the dealer run car test drive/showing, pricing, financing or badging/plating my car - in essence, i got in my own way and Tom helped me get in my car.
Great experience. I am not a doting fan nor are we friends outside of my purchase, but I have bought 8 cars in my 29 years alive and this was the easiest, most comfortable experience to date.
Not only was my sales guy Tom a cool guy, but more surprisingly, the finance guy was super cool too. Gave me the best deal possible and had me in and out and financed in 25 minutes flat. Given, i did provide my info on paper, had Tom fill it in, send it to the financial office, call me over and have me sign, dispense the down payment and have my dot matrix deal-on-paper, in 25 minutes; which is absurd! Maybe they work at Jimmy Johns too? Lol

Spoke with Samim via email late Saturday afternoon who confirmed the vehicle I wanted was available and set me an appt for Sunday at 12 when they opened. Got there at 12:05 and nobody could find my appt. Also told that Samim wasn t there and off for the day. The guys there asked what vehicle I was there for and when I advised the vehicle, oh that sold but let me show you our other vehicles . This would have been nice to know seeing as though I drove an hr there for that vehicle in particular and no others on the lot had the black rim combo I was looking for. Wasted 2 hrs and gas for absolutely no reason! Horrible and will never patronize this location no matter what
