I have attended Hillside for a long time. My complaint is about Cory Fenn the Young Adult Ministry leader. I reached out to him regarding one of my children who were struggling in a bad way and he never followed up. I then wrote an email addressing my concerns with the church and never heard back from them. I then contacted the office to see why no one got back with me and the lady who answered the phone said that she forwarded my email on and sounded surprised that no one contacted me.

I then forwarded my email again to the church and Craig (who is on staff) contacted me and said that Ron Nottingham said that he called me. That never happened. Then he said that he would talk to him and again I never heard from anyone at this church.

Therefore, my conclusion is that they do not care about the lost and hurting. Very sad and the fact that the Young Adults are the ones who are leaving the church, to have Cory Fenn as the leader of this group is a joke. Also, when I called and asked for Pastor Aaron they would not let me speak with him. This church will have to answer to God about their lack of care for the people. They preach about going out into the community to serve them, but they don't even care about the people within the walls of their church.

I hope that Ron and Corey never know what it's like to have a hurting child and have the one place who is supposed to care not give a damn.

The people are genuine, loving and very welcoming. The pastoral staff preach the Bible and they really reach out to the community and care about sharing the gospel with the lost!! They have two locations, one in Rancho Cucamonga and one in Fontana. Love my new church.

To the people complaining of others on their wardrobe? You are a Christian? Am I right? Do not judge others on appearances. I mean why? Leave that up to God. Not your lane not your business. Go to service happy, and enjoy everyone.

I have attended Hillside since I was 4 or 5 playing sports with Upward Bound Sports. This church is home to me. Yes it is big.... but it is the smallest, biggest church I have ever been to. At Hillside there are plenty of happy faces around!! If you are new, WELCOME! You will definitely find community at Hillside from many of the groups that the church offers or over a cup of coffee at our coffee shop. This is a DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE, WELCOMING AND GOD CENTERED CHURCH.

WORSHIP - I pray and communicate with God through music. Harmony and Brian are so amazing...they are anointed! The whole team is amazing.

Pastor Aaron - I remember when pastor David Burns moved it was apparent that the original pastor chose a pastor who was the BEST FIT! Pastor Aaron is really relatable to me... he is not perfect and he makes that known. My brother was a very sick child and he spent years off and on in CHLA. Thank God for my brothers health! Pastor Aaron has a daughter who beat cancer and I can relate to his pain of the unknown and his faith.

Honest to God, I am a missionary who went to Cambodia and love my faith with all my heart. Hillside is the epitome of what Christianity is. No judgment and all love.

God bless Hillide

The church sanctuary was freezing like a meat locker. And the worship band was way too "showy" with lights flashing in the audience and a smoke machine. It's Church! the focus should be on worshipping God and not the very distracting band putting on a rock concert.

I am very confused by some reviews critical of the way people dress at church "in their pajamas and flip flops" didn't Jesus walk in flip flops and a robe he slept in? Why does it matter of what you wear if you're receiving the word of God, you don't get extra credit in Heaven for wearing a Suit and Tie. I love this Church because rich or poor, young or old you're able to come as you are without judgement. Well at least not judgement from all. God lives in us no matter our race, our financial wellness or how we look or dress.

They ve been around for a long time, the best run church I ve ever seen. It s so easy to get involved and serve. The sermons are mostly non offensive soft Christian character building, not hard, harsh, or doctrinal.

We drive 30 mins each week for this great church! Pastor, staff, and worship band are a treat, but the fact that our children love coming each week for the amazing kids ministry is so valuable. Love this church and greatly recommend Saturday evenings!

I love attending church here. Wonderful pastor, with excellent teachings. Phenomenal band. Couldn't be happier. I have brought friends who have not attended a Christian church. They also fell in love. Many powerful moments. Finally a congregation that I feel comfortable and a part of. You wont be disappointed.

I have called 3 separate times to join a small group and although I have spoken with someone each time I have never received a call back. Go Hillside!

Update: I received a call from someone at Hillside the very same day I posted my online review, yet no one from the church deemed it important to respond to my inquiry about a Bible study after my 3 attempts.

Great worship! Great message! Pastor Aaron gave probably the best message I have heard in my 8 years as a Christian. Anchor yourself to Jesus and you have hope to make it through any trial in your life.

The administration and staff here is constantly striving to accommodate the best teaching styles, ways to connect with the young people/kids, and bridge the gap between generations. They take time to train members who wish to help to come alongside others who are hurting in order to be equipped to take care of others from many situations.
They have a loving foster/adopt care meet up as well as a special needs program!
It's so clear how God is using this place to benefit the community and it's members. They really strive to connect and NOT just crunch numbers.

Visited one time, the preaching seem ok (I honestly could not form an opinion as I only visited one time) the church is huge, I personally like a smaller congregation (again that s just my opinion and should not effect yours) what keeps me from going back is how loud the music is, it s so loud that children should wear ear protection no joke as a person who has lost my hear because of loud noise I unfortunately can t revisit.

Great friendly people, awesome worship music, and powerful message. The kids ministry has an easy check in and friendly and caring volunteers. The church has many a great area to relax and connect with people before and after the service with a great cup of coffee from the coffee shop, Holy Grounds.

I drive from Huntington beach to attend services. I've never felt so comfortable nor included in any church I've ever been too. Being a Baptist missionary child that is a Strong & Bold statement. Lived in 7 countries, 2 continents and I'd drive every week if I could. This is truly a house that uplifts the Lord and is an example of how wonderful, powerful and loving a church can be. Hillside is a shining example of what Christianity can offer.
