I recently bought a 2017 VW Tiguan from Scott at the Sheehy VW in Springfield. He is a great salesman! He made himself available both times I went in and he was efficient. I didn't spend unnecessary time at the dealership waiting around. He answered all of my questions knowledgeably about the different trim levels so that I could find the exact car I was looking for. He wasn't overbearing at all - I went to him a few months ago looking at VWs but wasn't sure if I was ready to make the purchase. He didn't call or email me like most sales agents do - which I appreciated! The worst part about going to dealerships is getting the 20 phone calls in the following weeks.

My father and I came here to look at a car of interest and were Pleasantly greeted by Nick Zavala. Nick was very kind and in no way made us feel pressured to purchase a vehicle. Do not go to Ray Viates for a service advisor, ripped me off and did a totally different service for my vehicle. Made me buy parts that was not needed and was very hard to communicate with. Very bad experience

Springfield VW appears to be a great dealership online, but beware, that isn't how I found it to be.

I live near Cleveland and I found a good price for a GTI on AutoTrader at Springfield VW a couple months ago. I had an online chat with a very nice salesperson named Ashley and then I called the next day. I went back and forth with Ashley to verify certain features and to discuss how the process would work as an out-of-state buyer. This went on for a few days and I ended up making an offer on the car.

Ashley never called me back. Not once. I always had to call back to followup on my call and I would have to call again if she wasn't there as she didn't return messages. When I made the offer it was about an hour before close and she told me she would get back to be within a half hour. That never happened. This was on a Tuesday night and I was planning to go pick up the car that Saturday.

I couldn't reach Ashley after that and eventually I spoke to the used car sales manager. He told me that the car had been sold 2 weeks ago. I told him that I had been discussing the car with Ashley for days, for which he apologized and asked if I might be interested in a used R32 they had.

I realize that most people aren't travelling a few states to purchase a daily driver, so your experience may differ from mine when you shop in-person, but I highly doubt it. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.

I love this service department! They're helpful without being obnoxious and trustworthy. After spending 25 years in the car business, they are my go-to dealership for sales and service even though they're 45 minutes from my home.

Brought my car to this dealership after the check engine light came on, assuming it was still under warranty. Worked with Cee, real nice guy, very professional and helpful. He was quick to find the problem and relay the work that needed to be done. As per most dealership prices the work was quoted at an extremely high price. I ended up finding a real nice independent German auto shop less than ten miles away who agreed to do the work for a third of the quoted price. If you're looking for an affordable place to take a Volkswagen German Auto of Alexandria is worth checking out before spending dealership price.

Looked at 2 used trucks the first had brakes that didn t even work and an exaust manifold with a giant crack, but with an inspection sticker. I bought a used diesel truck from them after this with a messed up turbo air bags that didn t work, a messed up exaust system, and multiple messed up sensors. I ve been waiting 3 weeks with the truck in the shop. Sheehy used car quality... I have to call for information just to find out the truck has been sitting untouched for a week. Buying elsewhere is highly advised... and avoid the Sheehy used car quality guarantee it s just a trashed car with a rigged emissions and safety test...

Was sold a Lemon, in and out of shop over 10 times and spent over 2k in first year of ownership, and all problems still persist with a significant loan still owed. Salesmen don't care once you drive off the lot.

Who likes the car buying experience? Not many people do and I am one of them. My experience, though, with Sheehy has been phenomenal and completely atypical of the average experience. Mohamud Ali is my sales consultant and he is a champion in my book! From the moment I got to the dealership, he made me feel at home. He answered my questions, explained every step of the process along the way. He worked hard to get the best deal for me. Usually it takes forever to get a sale completed but not at Sheehy and not with Mohamud I test drove a car, had my car appraised, negotiated the deal, signed paperwork and drove off in my 2016 Jetta in less than 2 hours.

Sheehy and Ron Sowell made buying a 2016 Tiguan a seamless experience with little pressure. After buying the car we noticed some scratches since we bought late in evening and did not see them and we told Ron about it and they are going to try to buff them out at no charge. Also they are going to replace the key fob batteries since dash was giving warning on this. Ron is best car salesman we have ever worked with. Also Jonah in service is great too always very helpful.

I was very frustrated with my experience here, but my issues were eventually resolved. The story of my personal experience is below:

I called ahead of time (on a Monday) and asked about a used Jetta TDI, we agreed on a price over the phone, and I made an appointment for the purpose of purchasing and leaving with the car (Wed). I was very clear about this and they were happy to make a sale.

First- My husband and I drove there at the scheduled time (and hour and a half drive for us) and after sitting and waiting for them for quite a while and having them say things like "there is just a small hiccup with the vehicle", they finally told us that the car wasn't even there because the person they used to detail it/polish it up before a sale didn't have it back yet. In other words, they started working on it just a couple of hours before our arrival. They had to drive us over to where the car was so we could test drive it, and I had to leave without the car. We weren't frustrated so much about the "hiccup" as we were about the lack of communication. I called before our appt to confirm it and they let me drive up there for no reason because they didn't want to lose a sale and hoped they could just work it out. If they had communicated to me, I wouldn't have wasted a drive for no reason.

Second- I was told on the day that we drove up for no reason (Wed) that it would be delivered the next day (Thur) to me to make up for the inconvenience of it not being ready in the first place. I was told it would most likely be in the morning (probably 11am ish) and that I would get a call in the morning to let me know when. I did not hear from them despite a phone call and an email on my part. They finally called my husband at work around 1pm (even though we confirmed the day before that they were supposed to call me), telling them that they were on their way. I waited for them to show up. Around 4pm, I get a call from someone at the dealership saying "i think they left 5 minutes ago". It takes an hour and a half from the dealership to my home and they showed up a little after 6:30pm. Again, I was unhappy with the lack of communication. I waited home ALL DAY and cancelled plans and work because of this.

Finally- Immediately after they (the people who delivered it) left from my driveway and I was handed the keys, I noticed the crack/chip in the windshield. Since it was not there the day before when we checked it out and test drove it, it had to have happened while they were driving it to my house. I called as soon as I noticed and spoke to the sales manager, John, who assured me he would "find out what happened" and get back to me. It has now been almost a week and 2 phone calls and an email later (since the original phone call). They will not return my phone calls or emails. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB tomorrow in hopes that they will finally fix the windshield...

4/24- As an amendment/update to my previous review: This dealership did finally resolve my issue. They called me back, scheduled an appointment, and fixed my windshield. I was very satisfied with the service during my last visit. Also, overall, after having had this car for almost three weeks, I can also say that I am very happy with my actual purchase. I do love my new car.

We stopped in to look at Sportwagens as Sheehy had several on the lot. After finding a few cars that we wanted to look at closer, I walked in to the showroom and spoke to Riadh. He went through the details of each car we looked at and did not pressure us at all during our visit to the dealer.

Once we decided on the specific car we wanted, we went in and discussed it with Riadh. Sheehy's price on the car was exactly what was listed on the website. When we started the paperwork process, there were no hidden surprises to be found. I also appreciate that the paperwork process in the finance office was straightforward, as well.

I've always had a good experience at this dealership. It's one of the best service shops I've taken a car to. They are relatively quick, it's easy to drop off my car (indoors), I've never gotten my car back after service with additional problems, and the waiting area is great. Yes, I could get the service done cheaper elsewhere, but I prefer the experience here.

The new car dealership experience is also great. The sales guy Curtis was helpful and gave me all the time I needed to make my decision. The dealership is clean and comfortable and everyone is enthusiastic about the cars they sell without being pushy.

It is really true, Sheehy is Easy, I contacted the internet sales manager, Paul, in the morning and we settled on a great price for my VW Jetta. I came in and he was waiting with much of the paperwork already completed. Passed me over to the finance manager, Jennifer, who quickly had me closed and on my way. Paul did spend time going over all the new "Tech" gadgets with my daughter and making sure she knew how to work everything.

Went to the dealership looking for a car for my wife. We already had an idea of what we wanted but wanted to see the cars and colors in person. They were very friendly in greeting us and talking to us and showing us around the lot. Hussein assisted us that day and was very nice and knowledgeable and very straight forward which we really appreciate. There was no pressure at all or salesman pitches. He Answered all questions and was patient with us. We found the car we wanted that day but we were a bit short on time and we told them we would be back in 2 days to do the paperwork and pick up the car. They again were very nice and not pushy at all, we felt very comfortable. We came back 2 days later and the car was washed and clean and tires shined up. We were greeted again just as kindly as the first time. Looked over the car again to make sure it was exactly what we wanted and then sat down with Sal Cirillo to go over all the details and paperwork, etc and he took care of everything from there. Paperwork was done quick and he walked us out to the car and went over all the details of the car and even helped my wife link up the Bluetooth with her phone. This is the way car buying should be. Plus the dealership has a really warm inviting atmosphere so that was a plus. For us buying a car is making sure we have a good buying experience from a dealership we feel will care about us and our vehicle. We will be back to buy our next car for sure and have already told several friends about our positive experience. Thanks guys, keep doing a great job !!!

Great experience buying my 2019 Jetta from Sheehy VW in Springfield. I worked with Fredy Romero who was incredibly kind and patient with all of my questions and concerns. With more complicated questions he provided me with detailed sheets of all information for my disposal. He was attentive and patient to my decision making process and didn't apply any unnecessary pressure or try to sell me something I knew I didn't want (the kind that makes you want to walk out the door and never come back) as I have experienced in the past from sales. I also worked with AJ in the financing department and the entire experience from start to finish was enjoyable. I also walked out with a great deal on the car, would highly recommend!

I was buying from out of state, so I was looking around comparing prices and dealer fees. I contacted the dealer and was put in contact with Jorge. Jorge was fantastic. I asked for pictures and paperwork on my vehicle and he was prompt and detailed. He sent me several videos and pictures of the car so I knew exactly what I was preparing to buy. He was very easy going and did not pressure me at all to purchase or add on. In addition to his friendliness and knowledge of the vehicle, he picked me up from the airport and took me to the dealership! He was very nice, patient and answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly. He even worked answered questions and assisted me on his day off. He also got it all cleaned and gassed up for the drive home.

I was a young buyer so I had my mother on FaceTime overseeing the transaction. Kelly was fantastic in explaining every aspect of the contract and deal to me and my mother. She was honest and straight forward. No run arounds. She was not pushy and very friendly. She was fast and precise, and we were able to close relatively quickly (especially with my mom being hours away). Made everything clear and simple. And after a few hours I walked out with exactly the car I wanted!

They clearly list the dealer fees at the bottom of the page. But if you want to know all the taxes and exactly what your out the door price will be, simply ask. They have no issue telling you. The dealer fees were consistent across five other dealers in the area I called (It's high, but consistent with other dealers). They are not trying to hassle you. I cannot say enough nice things about Kelly and Jorge. And would absolutely do business with them again. Thank you Kelly and Jorge. Thank you Sheehy VW!

We had a great time buying my daughter a beautiful 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee off the lot at Sheehy Volkswagen for a good price. Riadh was good to work with, knowledgeable, kept the haggling to a minimum. We came back for a minor electrical issue a couple days later - push button starter needed to be reset- but Rudy and his service team fixed it right and at no charge. It was a blast browsing the showroom floor, too. I'm now thinking my next vehicle might be a Volkswagen.

Don't buy one of their lemons, they don't care once you drive off the lot. In the first year I owned this vehicle it was in and out of the shop and dealership more than a dozen times. Currently I have a 10k paper weight. Transmission violently kicks, AC was worked on 5 times and still doesn't work, Power steering failed months ago and only 2k will fix it, lift gate busted in the first couple months, violent shaking while braking has been going on since the start, ended up going to Sheehy Ford per their suggestion but that didn't do anything (although their customer service is better). Knew I shouldn't have bought this, but the sales dude was pushy and made me feel like it would be okay, never spoke to him after I drove off the lot. I'm at the point where I think i'll just let it get repossessed, they can have this stupid thing after the time off work and thousands I spent...

My Fiancee and I were in the market for GTI's or GLI's and drove 2 hours to look at the GTI's on their lot (they have a huge selection to choose from). We walked inside and met with a salesperson and told them we were interested in the GTI's. Everything was fine with the test drive and we were ready to walk out with a car that day. However, when we got back to the dealership he just handed me his business card and said when I am ready to give him a call. He didn't seem to think I was very serious about buying the car. We told him that we were ready to make a deal today and would really like to see the numbers. He took a look at my old car and came back with an offer. They offered me a whopping $1,000 for my old car. Granted my old car was an 06 with 100,000 miles, but I could crash it into a wall and still get $1,000 after that. After more discussion he eventually brought the trade in up to $1,700 but we were still way off. He came to the conclusion that we could not make a deal today and we said goodbye. He did not offer to show me any other options at all. No used cars, no leasing options, no other models, nothing. I went and found another Volkswagen dealership in PA and leased a GLI the very next day.

Loved my car - hated the service. Unfortunately they had the one that I wanted. My sales person Travis demonstrates poor professionalism with everything revolving around (I will do this and will send it) with obviously no follow ups/call backs. The finance dept does not answer calls or respond to voicemails. My bank has been trying to get in touch to send over the check for the purchased car but no one seems to want it. Be prepared to spend the week before and after your purchase following up on staff.

Save yourself some time going to the Alexandria location and go see Riadh in Springfield he will find you a car. He was very efficient multitasking but didn't forget I was the customer. Didn't waste my time and they were fair with the price. They didn't try to hit me with additional mandatory double warranty certification fees like the Alexandria location. Just got straight to the point and I was in and out. Overall I was very happy with my car buying experience at the Springfield VW location.
