George approached me while I was in the store and helped me locate the correct TV I was looking for. He was also very willing to provide additional information and options; all within the price range he thought I would appreciate. Even though the TV I wanted was on back order, he was diligent in keeping me up to date on my order by calling me every single week until my order arrived. I can tell that George has been in the business for a long time and gives an old school level of service that you can't get online. Thanks, George!

I am writing to share my great buying experience with Visions, both Online and Retail at their Marine Drive Branch.

And in particular, my personal appreciation for the excellent assistance from George Chaplin (Marine Drive Home Audio Manager).

Due to partial delivery from Visions Online and my traveling itinerary, I need to swap my order and change delivery arrangements - require unusual changes between Visions Online and Retail. Though the changes were somewhat iratating, nonetheless George and Thomas (Branch Manager of Marine Drive) were great in facilitating my order change and accommodating delivery to fit my traveling.

Visions has earned a great loyal customer of me from this first hand experience with George Chaplin and Thomas. My great thanks to both of these gentlemen.

Been there before and put up with rude salespeople wanting to sell me overpriced equipment. This visit I walked to the counter and watched 4 people behind it ignore me for literally 3 or 4 minutes. Not a word from anyone (clearly I was interrupting them). I walked out, finished with that chain of overpriced junk.

After many years of enjoying our old TV, we were going through renovation and needed a new one. With so many new models of TVs available at today's market, we found it difficult not only to make a choice but to be able to stay with Panasonic brand we loved and trusted as unfortunately, Panasonic's TVs are not easy to find in Vancouver in general if not to mention a particular model we had identified on the Internet. Until we walked in the Visions Electronics' Marine Drive Branch and recognized a man who has helped us many years ago in a different store and now is a Home Audio Manager there. His name is George Chaplin, and he is a fantastic professional in his field of service.

He does not look into the "books" to pull any technical information about the products or to check the inventory/stock available for customers - he knows it all by heart. He not only introduced us to some models which were similar to the one we wanted but even took one actual TV out of its box and showed us how it would look on the wall. More to it, when a few months later we decided to purchase the second but same TV model, he went really extra mile to get it for us. He called the chain's other stores located in different cities to find and order delivery to Marine Drive of the TV we wanted and held it for us in storage until we were ready for installation at our place. But the most impressive happened during the installation of one of the TVs in our place when a technician (excellent too!) discovered - and did not hide it from us! - that there was a spot on the screen with some burnt pixels and stated that the unit needed to be replaced. Txts, emails and/or phone calls from George followed as updates because it turned out to be a really complicated and difficult thing to locate the unit but he did it! All replacement process went painlessly smooth .

Thank you Visions Electronics, for having such excellent employee like George who is a perfect example of knowledge, skills, perseverance and pride in the job he does so well.

I ve made multiple purchases and only deal with George. He is very knowledgeable, easy going, and is not pushy. He asks you your needs and budget and presents multiple products within your price range. George explains the pros and cons of each product and spends as much time with you as required in order for you to make an informed decision. I have texted with him various time with questions and he always gets back me very quickly. He really goes the extra mile to make sure the customer comes first. I will be his customer until George retires. A lot of other salesmen could learn from his 40+ years of experience.

My experience with George Chaplin was excellent I must honestly say. I have bought electronics in the past from Future Shop/Best buy and this is my first time TV purchase at Visions Electronics. I found that the customer Service that George provided was excellent in giving me the best price possible, having great knowledge in the electronics industry and listening, and understanding what I was looking for in a TV. His sound advice and caring really what a customer s wants, plus noticing my Hafiz audio setup was impressive and at the same time refreshing as I have not got that service for a very long time.

It s hard to stay on top of new advances of technology today as it is always changing and becoming better and better. However, due diligence in doing your own research will obviously give you, and also Vision electronic consultants the right solution for you. George is one of the best guys in the industry as he gets things done at the end of the day and wants to create a relationship with you to ensure you are happy with the product. Thanks so much again Visions Electronics!!

Always great to deal with him.

At times he has a few customers he is dealing with at the same time but that doesn't stop him from helping everyone out with the best deal possible. We already got 3 TV from this location and all sales were possible thanks to George.

He tries his best to make the customer happy and gets you the MAX discount possible!

George from Visions Marine Drive is excellent. Very professional and was able to help us with all our questions. He gave us a great price on our new TV and we were thrilled with him. The delivery man - Ken was also amazing and very professional. He came with a mask and gloves and removed his shoes before entering our premises. He installed our TV and taught me how to use all the new features. I would definitely recommend Goerge and Ken to all my family and friend. :)

George at the Marine location was fantastic. He spent a lot of time going through makes, models and details on TVs, Washing machines and dryers with me. He put a great price bundle together and arranged for delivery and install less than 24 hours later. Great staff here!

I went into the marine drive store and dealt with a Rep by the name of Jason in the car audio department. He said he was a new employee at this location but had a wealth of knowledge. There aren't many places out there that have guys who know what they're talking about when it comes to car audio but this individual gave me insight and great recommendations. It was a pleasure dealing with him and I'll be sending all my business to Jason. Thank you!

At Christmas I called and put an item (a gift) on hold until I could get there the next day after work and when I was on my way they called and said that one of the guys sold it accidentally.

Came into Visions to pick up a new dishwasher as ours was just going through the motions but having trouble actually washing dishes. George helped me order the model I wanted and I was in and out of the store quick.

I also needed delivery, installation and haul away service so George helped me set that up and took care of all the details. Install was a bit more complicated than anticipated (isn't it always) and the tech went over and above to go to the hardware store to pick up the parts that we needed to get the job done!

I purchased a LG OLED TV and was very pleased to deal with George Chaplin. The next day I noticed a charge on my bill that I had not agreed to, I showed it to George and he immediately issued a refund. The next day I found a problem with the TV and after contacting George he called LG and they agreed to send someone to my house the same day. The problem was soon solved and I could not be happier to deal with George!

I purchased a Western Digital Live Hub media player.

Salesperson I encountered was very commission-focused, had terrible product knowledge, and seemed more interested in socializing with coworkers and checking his phone than helping find the product I was looking for.

Upon being presented with the product, I noticed that the package had been taped shut with scotch tape. When I raised this issue with the sales staff I was assured that the item was brand-new. Against my better judgement, I accepted the product and took it home.

After opening the box, it was obvious that the item had been used; there were fingerprints, missing packaging, missing protective tape, unbundled cables, etc.

Disappointed, we brought the item back to the store for an exchange, only to be told that we would have to drive out to the Burnaby location to get a replacement. Only after raising a small stink did they check the stock in the warehouse (next door). Lo and behold, a new unit, wrapped in cellophane, was found.

Prior to making this purchase, I had actually read seen the negative reviews. However, I had a store-credit that I had to use. I thought that my experience might be different from those before me. I was wrong.

I like this place because they have it all. They are also one of the few remaining electronic retailer that installs car alarms and stereo. They have payment plans which makes it easy to buy now pay later. Their car install guys are super friendly and helpful even when your warranty runs out. Their salespeople are pushy though and will stalk you throughout the store if it's quiet .

We went in looking to purchase a high quality television with a great deal and we walked out in awe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they had sufficient knowledge about all the products. We dealt with Krupesh, who patiently answered all of our questions, was not pushy at all, and went above and beyond to get us the best deal possible. We walked out with an amazing smart TV, a remarkable sound bar and huge smiles on our faces. I would highly recommend this location for all of your electronic needs :)

I had thought I would get better service and product range from a high end North Shore sound place. Big mistake. One of these people actually seemed to enjoy giving me a runaround.

VISIONS was streets ahead of these "pros" in terms of both the product and the vital part of getting the help you need with installation. Receivers and TVs are both much smarter these days and you need to know how best to link them.

Luca at Visions North Van went after making the sale work for me with his pricing and delivery commitment, and then installer Darryl came over and reworked my own installation ideas with a much better system which he then taught me, step by step. He really knows how to explain newer tech.

Fabulous service, and at the best price I could find. What's not to like?

my experience at this visions electronics store was amazing all the sales staff i ran into were more then knowledgeable about the products. they made me feel comfortable and i really enjoyed my experience. even after my purchase was made the sales staff called to follow up and make sure i was comfortable using the products which i purchased. Purchased a tv here, after asking the sales guy twice that the warranty is in house for 1 year, he confirmed both times.
Sure enough my tv has issues after 2 months, called visions, and now they say that in house warranty is only 1 month and i need to waste my time dealing with Sharp directly.

Just like any commision sales store, these guys will lie to you to get a sale.

Was looking for a Bluetooth speaker. The Klipsch The Three. Brilliant product BTW. Went to their website, saw that it was on sale for $130 off where I saw it everywhere else, then called the store, to ensure it was in stock. It was, and the sales rep, Micheal, put it aside for me. I went to pick it up, and was gifted a smaller speaker! Great customer service, amazing price, and getting something free is always a bonus. Awesome experience, and as a result, the store will be my go to for future electronics purchases.

Went to purchase a TV. Sales man Mr. George was very helpful and seemed very passionate about his job. he takes all the time to answer questions professionally and efficiently and he seemed very knowledgeable in this field.

Second day, while unpacking the TV we realized that the TV had a broken screen. I returned the product on the same day, (I didn't even get the chance to plug it in) the managers tried to put all the blame on me and did everything possible so to make me look like i'm lying. Everything was packaged, They insisted that I was the one who caused the damage and that I should suck up the 800$ that I paid for my TV. After waiting for more than 2 hours to get this issue resolved, George the same sales person who sold me the TV stepped in and took care of me and made me feel comfortable again. within minutes he replaced my television.

This place deserves a 0 stars because of the bad customer service and the bad experience I had. I never lost my temper in a long time until I tried to fight for my right at Visions. Am I shopping there again? I don't think so. I'm giving a 4 stars for George only.

I haven't set foot into a visions in probably a decade. Now I remember why. But recently have found myself coming here to try and pickup some items. The store itself is horrible and outdated. Staff are friendly enough (hence the 2 star instead of 1 star). But they never seem to have stock on what I'm there for. Notebook PC, DSLR, and TV. Their website also does not show stocking levels either. This company needs to inject some serious money into their stores before they bankrupt. I ended up buying everything from Best Buy because they didn't have stock.

edit: thanks for the response but you clearly have not walked into the Marine Drive location. There is nothing cutting edge about missing display models, lack of inventory, metal racking with open box inventory sitting there. Looks like close out more than a retail outlet.

First off the service was very friendly and they were knowledgeable about the product. BUT we went there to buy a full Sonos system because we had been wanting one for a long time and they were having a great sale.

The problem was that although there was a big sign out front advertising this sale, no one knew about the prices in the flyer we had perused. The prices in store were not the sale price and we had to show them their flyer showing their actual sale price in order to get that price. And we had to check each item for the sale price because they didn't. Now we did save about $1,500 but wouldn't have if we hadn't been extremely vigilant.

Then the sales people were congratulating us on what a great deal we got. Yeah people, we know, that's why we came in. We just didn't expect to have to fight for the sale price on each item.

I ended up buying 3 laptops from salesperson Fenil 3 weeks ago (Back to school with twins and me with a 10 year old desktop). His lucky day. Over the next 2 weeks I went back to the Marine location (Dealing with Fenil again) and the Kingsway one to price match what I bought. The customer service was pretty great from beginning to end at both locations and the prices where competitive, though I did find the 2 laptop models I bought for my grade 8 twins on sale for slightly cheaper at a competitor. And then my NITRO went on sale at Visions the week after that. So watch the flyers for 30 days after you buy anything to price match. Overall a happy customer

Today I picked up my new TV at Visions Electronics on Marine Drive and couldn't be happier with the experience. I had shopped all day at other electronic type stores and none of them provided close to the attention I got here, with a huge array of many different TV choices for me to choose from. I was blown away by the depth of knowledge and expertise of George Chaplin, the personable Sales Associate who dedicated himself to answering my questions so thoroughly - and honestly. I learned so much from him, which helped me make the best choice for me. Never did it ever feel like he was just trying to make a sale, he truly wanted me to be informed so I could choose wisely. I got a really amazing price (George was able to honour a great sale price that had expired), with further discounts and gifts thrown in by the friendly manager as well. I highly recommend this location of Visions and will go back for sure!

He called when a sale was occurring and gave me a lower price. Rhythm was very happy to work with any request I had. Very friendly and courteous and helpful. Nick was my salesperson and he is the reason for the five stars. They were extremely busy when I was in store and Nick was handling multiple customers at once, including one of the most obnoxious customers I have ever seen. But when that customer asked what the "difference was between a 55" TV and a 43", which one is bigger?" (while looking at a 55" and 43" TV side by side to each other and both clearly labeled), Nick didn't miss a beat and provided her an answer in a friendly, professional way. All this while helping me a great deal in my own purchase. He also went out of his way to make up for the fact that they were so busy and could not just focus on me. So go to this store, and ask for Nick to help you.

bought a samsung 50 smart TV for a work raffle. i ended up winning the TV which was lucky because when i set it up a month later the TV was broken. it was like someone had stepped on the screen at some point. no physical damage on the outside but once you turn it on it s absolutely unusable and you can t see anything on the screen except different coloured lines and what looks like cracks running throughout the screen. all this after not having the screws in the box when i opened it. i called the visions where i picked it up from and right away they told me to call samsung for the screws. after asking if he can just take one from one of the TV s in stock he still told me to call samsung. i said why don t you just give me one from a TV in stock and you guys can call samsung and wait for screws i already have the TV out of the box. finally he said you re right the customer is always right. ??? trying to make me feel bad now? sure. when i called about the TV being broken i was told repeatedly to call samsung. visions said i had 48 hours to bring it back after original purchase.. which they obviously don t tell you before you drive off with it.. so now it s on samsung to deal with it. the smug salesman at visions i talked to on the phone seemed to try to laugh off any valid point i had to make. when i asked him why he thought the situation was funny he said he just thought it s funny how i don t understand their policy. i do understand it. i also understand that it s not impossible to give your customers what they paid for, which for me, was a working TV. i know they can easily exchange my TV for a new one that works and deal with samsung themselves. in the end, i am waiting for samsung to approve a warranty because visions likes to kick their products around before they sell them. even the guy that loaded it into my car put it in on its side even though it clearly says on the box to have it standing up. if you ever need to buy something from this visions location, get them to turn it on for you before you leave the store.
