Excellent experience. I am a busy working dad and called ahead to have a specific TV and sound bar put aside. The store manager (Rhythm) had everything put aside and I was in and out in five minutes the next day. They also took my old TV to save me a trip to recycle it.
Unfortunately the sound bar had a manufacture s defect, but the staff exchanged it no questions asked and gave me a better quality sound bar for the same price.

I was attempting to support smaller local business when I called to order my samsung galaxy 7". I talked to a guy on the phone who said even though they were sold out I could order it at the sale price and still receive it, might take a bit longer, but i was fine with that. When I went in the woman there said she could not order it, and after trying to figure out if she could I'm still not sure if Im going to receive this tablet. The "manager" on duty was a joke. NOT helpful in the slightest! would say 2 words and walk away from the new employee. It look at least 30mins to process my "maybe" order. If I was the owner of this business I would be doing some serious training and firing. So disorganized, ignoring customers to continue joking around. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a complaint about a company.
George Chaplin was a great help to me from my trips to the store and dealt excellently and professionally with any problems that I had, he was super nice and patient too. If you call in, ask for him and you can t go wrong! Thanks again, George

Spent hours being told by the phone rep our account was good to purchase(old account was expired). Rep on the phone says it s cleared until we spent another 30 mins trying to figure out why it s not going through. Now they tell us they want our bank statements and wants to make us wait for another few hours for things to be processed. Two hours wasted And they want us to wait more. No thank you I ve been buying everything from you guys for years. And this is just sloppy. Cheers and good luck

Had a fantastic experience! I purchased a new LG TV with a Samsung sound bar during the boxing day period. Sales person was extremely helpful in getting me a great deal. A week after the installation, I found that the sound bar didnt work due to compatibility issues, I immediately called and brought the sound bar back to the store. I was a little upset (as you could understand) but the floor manager was extremely helpful. Not only did he helped us in picking a compatible quality sound bar that would work for my TV, but he also matched the deal price that I got when I first made the purchase a month ago. He did all that with no complaints and was very very friendly. This will be the one and only place I shop for home entertainment electronics moving forward! Really appreciate the help that I received!
Need a 75" TV and sound bar. A major buy. So shopped around all the major shops in Vancouver. Finally came to Visions at Marine Drive. The sales agent is very friendly and professional. After much discussion, we can conclude to buy what TVs we want and after all get a good deal with him. So just happen to know his name is George. The followup service and the installation service are exceptional. The TV is huge and has to hang in an odd place. The technician has overcome all these difficulties and did a great job. So first time at this location. I ordered a TV online last year for black Friday and had been raving about the prices ever since. We arrived here just last week because a friend is furnishing their new apartment and of course needed a new TV. Shopping areas in the store are well sectioned off. We found the TV sections and began to look. I understand that the sales people are all a little hesitant about approaching people but really we n3eded help. The sale was good but in knew nothing about how to get my friend to jump at buying a 4 k TV over a 1080 p to a 720 p set in the bed room and living room . No one was around to help. Chang the lighting in the place first. Please. Trying to see picture quality on a TV in flourescent lighting sucks. Most people have incandescent or full spectrum lighting at home and it was so difficult to see the difference immediately. I was challenged to promote for you. Thanks any way. I myself am pleased though and now I'm being dragged away to the Brick and London drugs.
Was shopping for a turntable and have had good history with this store. George made some excellent suggestions, is knowledgeable, thorough, polite and helped me with an excellent selection. Highly recommended - have a problem with the negative reviews, after dealing with people here for years.
George was great in helping me and my husband pick out a 49" TV, wall mount and a soundbar for our living room. He gave us a great deal on the TV too. When we had to return the original soundbar for another (cheaper) one because it ended up not working in our room layout, George helped us process the exchange and refund credit smoothly and hassle free. Quite overpriced, and the customer service was very bad. I asked the audio manager for a recommendation and he asked me what am I looking for and then he comes around with a product that's the complete opposite of what I'm looking for. There are a million other places that I'd rather shop at before this place.
George was very responsive and able to locate an early black Friday special TV that was sold out at many other stores. This is the 3rd TV I have purchased via Visions as their extended warranty program is great.

I paid $250 for $1000 TV Warranty. They took my TV away to repair on March 29th, 2019 May 30,2019 My TV has not been fixed yet!!! And Service manager Jim said : IT Electronic lied to him, that is why it is taking so long and the TV has not been fixed. Now the parts will come on June 7th. Oh Oh Oh!!!! It drives me nuts!!!

Came in to buy a 65' 4K TV from Panasonic. It was busy when I entered in the store but the sales guy who helped me out was very generous and helpful. Tv was in stock and then I was explained the Money Back Warranty service, which is pretty great and very different from any other extended service plans by another retailer. I got the warranty and a brand new TV. Overall, happy and satisfied with my purchase.

From his overall knowledge mixed with an "old school approach", George made the stress of a major electronics purchase non existent. Got a deck and subwoofer installed in my car and got a stellar customer service. The sales manager Rhythm and his crew in car audio are amazing. I high recommend to goo see him if you want to get anything done in your car. I highly recommend everyone to go and see Rhythm for any deal.

I am grateful for the patience and excellent service given me by George Chaplin. He took his time showing me various options based on my needs and my budget. And he was not sat all bothered when I called him to ask about various things before and after installation ( after the sale). So what he did was above and beyond what was necessary to close the transaction. I wish there were more people like George on the sales floor.

We bought our original Sony from Visions over 10 years ago and when it failed we contacted their Marine Street store for service information and actually talked with George who sold us our original Sony and components in 2009. He tried his best to help us get information to repair our TV, but in the end we bought another Sony from him. He was helpful and gave us excellent service again. The day we picked out our new Sony George arranged for it to be delivered and installed the same day. Pretty good service....we will definitely consider Visions again for all our electronic needs. George you are the best!
Staff here is so friendly and store location is easy to find. Had a great customer service experience, bought an beats headphones recommended by Fenil from the kiosk department. Way too aggressive sales people. Some sales guy I did not even work with (Sukh) tried desperately for me to buy a TV as I walked out of the store. It was 5 min to close and I stated clearly "I am not interested in purchasing a TV today" so he would get the hint and not waste his or my time. What really bothered me is he continued his sales pitch after I said that. In addition, I was working with an elder salesman and I have no idea who this guy was who tried every angle as I inched toward the door. I thought to myself "Who are you and where did you come from?" Made up my mind to not come here again
Discount Electronics Shop. Came by with the family to check out the black Friday sale. Not terribly busy. Stock was picked over. Lots of large screen TVs available. Limited houseware appliances or camera bundles available. Small selection of gaming accessories. Bright interior. Not too crowded to navigate portions of the store. Sales staff are available and ready to assist. Parking was difficult. Poor drivers parked.

I went into Visions yesterday to purchase a back up camera for my truck. I had called ahead and was told that there was one available for $150. When I got to the store I was told that the rep couldn't sell it to me and only the manager could (why can't their employee who specializes in car electronics sell me a product that they quoted me a price for over the phone?). He then said that the manager was ready to go home but that he could do me a favour and get him to come back to sell it to me. It turns out there was nothing that the manager did that the other rep couldn't do. He just wrote the product name and price on a sheet to be taken to the counter for me to pay. Heres where it gets bad: He asked me if I wanted the optional insurannce plan which I said no to and it went basically like this:
Ronnie (manager): Would you like our insurance plan for $14.95 to protect your investment for x amount of years? Me: "No, I don't think so" Ronnie: "Its a really good idea since these days electronics don't last that long" Me: No thats okay, my credit card doubles the manufacturer's warranty so your insurance would have no benefit to me" Ronnie: "Look, I'm giving you a real good deal here" Me: "Okay, but I still don't want the insurance"
Ronnie starts writing the amount of the insurance on the bill as if Im going to pay for it
Ronnie: "you're going to buy the insurance" Me: "No I'm not" Ronnie: "Look, you need to get with the program. I could just raise the price on this item here for you" Me: "So you mean that unless I agree to pay for this insurance you're not going to give me this item for this price which was quoted over the phone?" Ronnie: "Pretty much" Me: "alright then I don't want to purchase it" I started to walk off, pretty ticked off. Ronnie: "Okay fine I'll give it to you for that price"
This is the worst experience I've had in retail hands down and i will never go back to Visions. I ended up purchasing the camera, much to mey shame, because I needed to get it installed asap. I had gone to Visions before and gotten a really bad vibe and this confirms why. They can't sell products on their prices so they have to rely on manipulation and high pressure sales techniques to get anyone to buy their things. They inflate their prices so that they can afford to knock off some of the price to make it seem like you're getting a deal.
Oh, and their insurance plan is a joke. I looked at it. They say that you will get your money back after the period of coverage is over if you don't make a claim but what they don't tell you is that you need to file an application for that money within a limited period of time after that period is over (I think 60 days). Also, that credit cannot be used towards sale priced items which means that in a store where everything is constantly on sale, you don't have that many options. They are counting on you forgetting to apply for the credit. Who is going to remember to do that after three years?
This place is the absolute worst. For stress free experience where you will actually recieve good service and a company with a reputation worth upholding (Visions does not), go to Best Buy or Future Shop.
I recently purchased a Samsung 55" television from George Chaplin. He was excellent...he answered all my questions, kept in touch with me from the time I purchased the television, through the delivery and installation of my new television. As well as being knowledgeable and professional he was very kind, helpful and generous with his time ensuring from the time I first spoke to him until after the television was delivered and installed. In every way he went above and beyond what I expected in customer service. I'd also like to say that Ken, the person who delivered and installed my new television, was very also knowledgeable and professional. He was very patient and pleasant with me as I walked me through the all the various areas in my new television. It was a pleasure to work with him. I was on the hunt for an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K for over a week and every single place was sold out. I called Visions and spoke with Calvin who was great and helped me. Even though they didn't have the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, he asked if I wanted to try something else. After I chatted with him over the phone, I ended up going in to pick up the Roku Streaming Stick +. As I was paying for the Roku Stick, I was offered a deal on earphones by another employee and from there, I spent another hour or so at the store looking at other earphones they offered.
I was helped by Calvin and three other employees who were friendly, helpful and really patient with my indecisive decision on earphones because I was texting my husband (whether to get some, what pair, price, etc) who was in the car with our sleeping children outside the store parking lot. We initially passed on the earphones and left to go home. As we were driving home, I realized Visions had a great price for AirPods plus the customer service was great so we ended up driving back to grab AirPods.
I went in for a streaming stick and walked out with a Roku Streaming Stick +, AirPods and a wireless charger for our phones. I guess you could say they know what they are doing in there and I ended up spending way more than I went in for (doesn't it always work that way?). A huge THANK YOU to Calvin for being super patient with me and the employees he was working with the day I went in. I ended up using the Roku Stick and I don't know how I ever went this long without a streaming stick. Thank you!
Bought a phone with the extended warranty. The salesman said with this warranty if anything was wrong it would be a direct exchange. Brought the phone in as it was having problems a few months later with the speaker. Seems that he actually was incorrect says this salesman in saying that and it now has to go in to get fixed. When asked if this was using the manufacturer warranty he said no it will be the extended warranty we purchased. So that would have been used and if anything else was to happen it would no longer be covered. Please explain the extreme rip off of this and why you would not use the warranty of the manufacturer first. Do not buy the extended warranty !! We will never buy from this company again.

I didn't have a great experience there, when I bought a subwoofer and it was delivered my home it didn't work so I had to return a 35lb thing in a big box no fun....
The store has a wide range of electronics, from all prices. The staff is really helful, in-store and on yhe phone. I came to buy a projector and their audio video specialist George came to advise me. When he couldn t answer all of my questions with precision he called the specialist at Epson, which allowed me to purchase the right product for me. Absolutely recommend this store!
Being a musician my whole life, knowing quality of sound makes a difference, I consider myself to be fairly astute to music and sound quality.. I formerly owned a KEF 104 reference series system with NAD amps and peripherals, was extremely happy with the Sound Quality even to todays standards an unparralleld / price per dollar. As time has it, 24 years later, a new system was in the works. Keeping an open mind to all the variables, price, brands, quality of sound, dealer, service and availability, all these things coupled together make a huge difference to your purchasing experiance.. After weeks / months of due diligence and research and many Stereo-shops, I found myself at Visions... The entire staff was friendly and not pushy, and treated me with regard. After listening to many systems with George, the clear winner by a country mile, was the KEF brand again, (Q950 towers, 650, 350 and Altos speakers, Pioneer Deck) for price, warranty and value per dollar.. I felt well taken care of that I upgraded my entire home theatre. George and his tech associate Calvin were very capable and proficent to all my needs; adjustments; changes; upgrades; technical; and even warranties as we went through the process. Be aware there's a huge learning curve with audio & visual equipment these days, rapid changes, so be prepared to do some leg work and steep learning. Most equipment today comes with outstanding warranties, 3-5 years, so in many cases additional warranty for another 5 years may be overkill, so adding warranty might not be required I find, so give that some thought before you add additional warranty. Conclusion: Great Shop setup, clean, well laid out, Great prices, Knowledgeable Staff and courteous service. Well done gentlemen. Keep up the nice work. I would recommend your store, the staff and products to my good and dear friends.
George Chaplin fixed up our sound problem....he is very professional and way more knowledgeable than anyone else who has tried to help us.....he is an invaluable asset to the Visions team.....I would ask for him again as he is efficient and explains everything very clearly....
Went in for a car stereo deal I was recommended by a friend. Never been to this store before so I was not sure what to expect. I made a reservation for the item by calling the store, and it worked. The item was reserved and I paid for it, that s it. The staff was professional and everything went smooth. Except I had a question... I asked whether they did installations of car stereos. The answer was yes, so I went talking with the guy who took care of these things to get a quote. Just to give an idea, the quote was outrageous. I understand the need for extra parts to install, etc. That is not the issue. The issue is the labour quoted was an amout that equals to a whole day of my salary. Sorry, will not be using this company for installations.
if your going to this store this store does not except Canadian cash . this is Canada, the Canadian dollar is Canada's national currency if you didn't no here is what the government says, We encourage Canadians to use the method of payment that they are the most comfortable with. However, the Bank strongly advocates that retailers continue to accept cash to ensure Canadians have access to the goods and services they need. Refusing cash purchases outright will put an undue burden on those who depend on cash and have limited payment options.
Recently purchased a package deal for TV and sound system from George Chaplin. Very personable, pleasant and product-knowledgeable salesman. Great after sales follow-up. Not at all like the annoying archetypal "in-your-face" commissioned sales persons common in this industry. If you visit this Visions store would be worth seeking him out.
Awesome service! Went to see the Car Audio Specialists who's originally from Calgary (sorry bud forgot your name) and he was very knowledgeable. Needed bluetooth audio for my 2008 City Golf and I was done in 1.5 hours! Great price, looks awesome and the Bluetooth is working very well! Thanks guys great work!
I'm not sure what this other reviewer is going on about, George is an excellent sales person and extremely helpful. I am also a first time customer of Visions and was in this morning to make a purchase. George had helped me on the phone last night and answered all of my questions. I then came in to make the purchase today. George was funny, knowledgeable, and courteous. I will definitely be shopping from there on a regular basis. Visions also appears to be one of the most competitively priced electronics stores in Vancouver.
We can't say enough about the superior service and good deal we received from George and Benny when buying our TV. As before, we will continue to be loyal customers in the future.
