Went to Vera s to start the process of looking for the perfect dress. Saritah was amazing. She was very helpful. Never felt like a sales pitch or that I was being pressured. Not only did I find my dress of my dreams but I also got my veil and headpiece. My mom also ended up finding her mother of the bride dress at the same apt. Which was completely unplanned. I have had multiple experiences shopping at Vera's and they have all been great. This last visit was by far the best. I brought my best friend to shop for her wedding gown and Tessa helped us. Tessa was incredibly kind and was a FABULOUS listener. She listed the my friend's feedback and kept bringing her dresses that were exactly what my friend asked for. Every dress my friend put on looked better than the previous one. She ended up purchasing her dress from Vera's and I know it is because she had an excellent experience with Tessa. I had an appointment at Vera s today and everything was perfect! Lydia was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet and really knows her job! She is professional but so fun to be around. She was able to zone in on the image I had in my head for my bridal gown and found the perfect one for me! She had great advice when it came to alterations and accessories. She just really made the experience amazing for myself and my group. Veras is very well run, had reasonably priced dresses, and I would highly recommend to anyone in the Midwest. Has the best customer service compared to any other bridal store in the Madison area. Took our bridal party as a walk in when other stores said no. Vera herself even checked in on us and gave some great advice. We purchased all our bridesmaids dresses and the bridal gown from Vera's. So professional and each employee we worked with from our dress assistants to the seamstresses were experienced and fun to work with.
Vera's is spectacular. I am typically incredibly picky and self-conscious, and I figured it would be difficult to find a dress. No way did I think my first time shopping for a wedding dress would be my only time. Abby was fantastic and picked a dress that I would have never considered that fit my personality and shape perfectly. Vera's and Abby saved me so much time and I couldn't be more excited and happy!
Since my mom got her dress from Vera s when she got married, we decided to make them my first stop as well. Best decision ever. Saritah, who help me, was patient and listen while I worked to narrow down my vision. She kept bringing me different dresses as I figured out what I liked and disliked until I found the dress that had everything I loved and nothing I disliked. The whole experience was great!
I had the BEST experience possible at Vera's this weekend. Me and my guests felt safe with the covid-19 precautions and we also we're still able to fully enjoy a beautiful, glamorous experience together. From the moment we walked in, I felt this place was something special and then a nice lady by the name of Bridget introduced herself as the consultant working with me for the appointment. To make a long story short, she was a blessing - she was so warm, cheerful, professional and patient, answering all my questions, understanding my happy tears, and listening to my guests' input. I had some idea of what I wanted in a wedding dress and I was still able to try on a variety of styles, sizes, and accessories. Ultimately, Bridget pulled a dress that was "the" one & I've never felt so magical as I did in that moment. The selection, pricing, and customer service overall are top notch at Vera's!

It was probably the easiest dress shopping I have ever done! I did have an idea of what i wanted but Eirka was extremely helpful in bringing in dresses she thought I would like. I ended up walking out purchasing the first dress I tried on and could not be any happier. The service and pricing for it all was just perfect!! Makes the rest of the wedding planning that much easier.
My experience at Vera s was nothing short of amazing!! The entire establishment is so professional yet the experience was very personal and with so many dresses and such a wide price range I don't know how someone could not find their dress there!! We were lucky enough to work with Debra and she was fantastic!! She listened exactly to what style we were looking for, didn't pressure is at all and was respectful of our budget. She was extremely professional but I could tell she really truly cared about me funding the right one and when the time came to say "YES!" she was tearing up right along side of my mom, grandma and Matron of Honor. Once you say "YES" you're treated like a princess and get to take lots of photos on the beautiful staircase. Overall it was an amazing experience and I wish I could live it all over again!!

Bridget consulted with me and she was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable; I felt like she wanted to get to know me (which was awesome), but wasn't pushing me into any decisions (again, awesome!). Vera herself stopped in during my try on session as well as Tammy the Assistant Manager and both were incredibly professional and kind.
My sister had a great experience here three years ago and I too had an excellent experience! My mom actually bought a total of three dresses here over the years; two mother of the bride and her own nontraditional wedding dress--so you will be very likely to find something special as well as some excellent options to customize your dress too!
My experience at Vera's was amazing! ERICA was SO helpful. She totally understood my style and what I envisioned while still keeping my budget in mind. I love Vera's and especially my attendant Emily. I went into my appointment not expecting to get a dress at all and she completely understood. I never felt pressured and she made me feel really comfortable. She listened to my thoughts and my tiniest dress critiques so well I ended up finding my dress that day. Vera's House of Bridal is the ultimate bridal store! The building, staff, and selection are next to none! Theses ladies know what they are doing and they make your experience feel incredibly personal. There were at least 10 other rooms around the store and I felt like I was the only bride there. I had my consultant, the manager Tammy, and Vera, along with other consultants, stopping into my room with words of encouragement and praise the entire appointment. This place is gorgeous and provided the ultimate bridal experience. Everyone was super professional and my attendant was amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. I came in knowing kind of what I wanted in a dress, and she helped me narrow it down and find The One! Even if I hadn't found it as soon as I did, they had so many different styles and dresses in house to help anyone find The One.They also seemed to be very COVID-conscious, so that was an added plus! I absolutely loved my experience at Vera's! All the ladies at Vera's were so amazing. I was a little skeptical about how they pick the dresses for you, but my goodness do they know what they are doing! I was all over the board on what I wanted, and the stylists were able to narrow down EXACTLY what I was feeling. We went through so many dresses, but the experience was so fun and not overwhelming. I had been to two other bridal salons before I went to Vera's, and I wish I would have went here first. I had tried on over 30 dresses before my appointment at Vera's and I still didn't know what I wanted. The whole Vera's team was so knowledgeable and you can tell they have a passion for this. Being able to put on your dress, walk to the balcony, add a vail, "SAY YES", and then pose at the stairs was dreamy. I can't recommend them enough.
I was so lucky to have Claire as my stylist/consultant. She is extremely knowledgeable and showed expertise and appreciation for the design in each garment we tried. It felt like we had too many beautiful options to choose from, but I eventually narrowed it down to one awesome dress. I can't wait to see the end result!
We ve been to Veras for bridesmaid dresses, but I came today for bridal gowns and can I say WOW! Tory was our consultant; she was so amazing. I d been to several small town bridal stores which were so nice and gave you that small town feel; same feeling at Veras! They had over 800 dresses to choose from and I feel like Tory brought me ones that were exactly my style. Since they have such a large selection, you are guaranteed to find your perfect dress.I loved every second of my experience with Veras and can t wait to go back with my bridesmaids! I was so lucky to have Bridget as my wedding dress consultant. She did absolutely amazing! I was worried that Vera's might be a little bit out of my price range, but Bridget did not push me to spend more than I wanted and helped me find the perfect dress that was in my budget! She was so kind and such a fun person to work with! I had such a great experience and would recommend Vera's to anyone looking for their perfect dress! I was very disappointed when I went. I felt that the person helping me try on the dresses did not listen or even care about what I wanted. I have described the dress I was looking for, and she had gone out to find some for me to try on. It wasnt until the very end (about a hour or so into the appointment) that she would allow me to look on the floor to pick out a dress. Within minutes I found the exact dress I had been describing. After trying it on I felt extremely pressured into a sale, as to which as this point I just wanted to wait on. I felt like the lady didnt care at all about what I had to say, and would only get frustrated when I would explain what I was looking for in a dress. Wouldnt recommend going there and definitely will not be buying from there ever.
I had an amazing experience with Bridget. She helped me find my dress! I felt like I had 5x more fun than I was ever expecting with wedding dress shopping. She made me feel comfortable and she even did my hair for the fitting and made me feel like a princess. I couldn t have asked for a better consultant. She had me laughing the whole time. I highly recommend this place and it makes you feel like part of a family.
very disappointed with my experience at Vera's. I was in this past Saturday and based off reviews and word of mouth, I was expecting to potentially find my dress at this salon but walked out very unhappy. This was the 2nd boutique I shopped at- the consultant did not listen to what I was looking for at all. Every dress she brought me had thick straps and a long train- the only details I told her I was NOT looking for, not to mention every dress she brought me were all $200-500 over my budget. After 4 times of her bringing in dresses, she finally said that she didn't think they had anything for me and within my price point. I had shown her a dress I liked from the first boutique and I liked the spaghetti straps but was open to material, just did not want a long train. My budget was $1200- I found it very hard to believe that there were no dresses in that salon that I would have liked, considering I didn't have many requests and felt that price point was reasonable.
I said yes to the dress and couldn't have been more pleased ! The owner walks around and checks on each guest and the consultant was amazing with all my crazy requests

Abbey was the dress specialist that helped me during my appointment and she was fantastic. She listened very carefully and was very attentive to my thoughts, concerns, likes, and dislikes. She provided a great selection of dresses for me to try, which was really helpful to me because I was still really unsure about what style/silhouette to go with. One of the dresses she picked ended up being the one for me :)
The whole staff was overall very nice and accommodating, too. For the appointment me and my entourage got a private room where we could really relax with comfortable chairs and plenty of mirrors and lighting. They let us bring snacks and drinks (no red wine, for good reason!) and even gave us a little folding table when they noticed the endtable in the room wasn't enough for all our things. The whole place is well designed and really does feel like a "house" filled to the brim with bridal things. I was there on a Saturday and it felt lively and joyful in the rooms and around the halls. While we were there, Vera herself was walking around and she stopped by my room to say hello. She is a warm and wonderful person.
At the end of my appointment I still wasn't ready to commit to a single dress yet and they were all very pleasant and understanding about it. There was no pressure to make a decision right then and there, and they encouraged me to come back even just as a walk-in anytime I wanted to try on my top dress picks. I actually did this, several weeks later, and Claire helped me out. She was really great and there was no hassle at all. When I tried on the dress again and knew it was the one for me she was really quick to help me find a seamstress and walk me through the next steps. I'm just waiting for the dress to come in and I'm super excited!
I recommend this place to anyone getting married! A lovely place to help collect warm memories leading up to your big day.

I had an amazing experience at Vera's! I was paired with Amy, and she did such a great job putting us at ease, listening to what I was looking for, and pulling dresses that I might not have chosen myself but ended up loving! She found a "finale" dress that fit me perfectly--it was exactly what I had pictured, and it was the 4th (and last) dress I tried on :) My mom got her dress here 28 years ago, and Vera popped in multiple times to welcome her back, give her opinion, and help us pick out a veil...she was so sweet. My bridesmaids had so much fun and are excited to come here for their wedding dresses too! I would highly recommend coming here first--everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive even on the busiest of Saturdays!

I went to Vera s this past weekend for dress shopping and I worked with Saritah. I was floored by the amazing service I received! I had actually already purchased a dress previously from another store that turned out not to be the dress for me. I was so upset about it that I was nervous and stressed out about going shopping again. First of all the place was so nice and the dress options are endless! Saritah was super sweet and soo patient with me! I was pretty lost as to what I wanted other than something more fit. She started by pulling some dresses to help pinpoint what I liked about certain dresses and what I didn t to pick out dresses that were more what I was looking for (never did get that at the other shops I visited). I cannot even tell you the amount of dresses I tried on! She never once became frustrated with me or made me feel rushed and actually helped talk me through my anxieties about it all. Even so, I did not feel pressured to make a decision. I did end up saying yes to a dress but not after trying on several other similar styles to verify this was the one! This experience was exactly what I needed and wish that I had the first time around! I cannot emphasize enough, go to Vera s for the real bridal experience! Thank you again Vera s and Saritah!

Vera s was beyond what I expected. The staff was welcoming to everyone in our large party from the moment we arrived. We were allowed to bring in champagne and had a big room to hold everyone to share the special moment with me every step of the way. Tammy was amazing and I immediately clicked with her like she was family. I was treated like a princess! The entire process was so special and stress free! Tammy called my dress before I even tried it on. The staff is so warm, happy and listen to every detail about your big day as if it were there own. Matter what your price point is they treat you like royalty. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel beautiful not only in a dress but about yourself. I have a friend who recently purchased a dress from Vera's. They advised her to order 2 sizes larger than her usual. When she picked up the dress, it was so big, they had to hold it together in the back so she could get a visual of what it "should" look like "after" alterations. When she took it to be altered, they had to completely dismantle the dress and re-make it which cost her 1/2 of what the dress cost when she purchased it. The dress still doesn't fit appropriately and the wedding is next weekend. To spend nearly $2000 on a dress and then have this happen - HORRIBLE!

I had the BEST experience here. Bobbie Jo at the front desk was always so kind to help me with all my questions and ultimately helped me buy my dress as I decided the day after to buy it. Alex and Lydia were both amazing. I went twice. Once with an appointment on a busy Friday and once without one on a slower Wednesday evening. They both asked me great questions to help me decide what I wanted. Lydia did a fantastic job selecting dresses for me to try on since I didn t know exactly what I wanted as it was my first appt looking for dresses. One thing that really helped me was on the less busy evening Alex allowed me to go look at their showroom and see all the dresses. The manager (I think her name was Tammy) popped in both of my experiences. She was a delight to shop with as well. Everyone had great energy that it made me feel special and like a princess as it should during this time! Thank you all so much!!!

I bought my wedding dress from Vera's and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My dress was absolutely beautiful and everything that I was looking for. The staff here always have a smile for you as soon as you walk in the door. They were helpful and did all they could to make your dress just right for your wedding day! Was in Yesterday after just being at David's Bridal. I had a horrible experience at David's Bridal. I called and Vera's told me to come on over. I had the best experience here and my stylist was amazing she knew how to make this experience one to remember. I am so thankful to them for all they did. Would highly recommend going to Vera's! My bridal appointment at Vera s was absolutely wonderful! From the moment my entourage and I arrived to the moment we left, I felt welcome, comfortable, and confident in the service they provided. We had two small children with us, and they were so accommodating and interacted with them so well. Saritah was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable about the huge selection of dresses. She stuck to my budget and was a joy to work with. She listened to my likes/dislikes but encouraged me to try on dresses that weren t on my radar. And I m so glad she did! I found my dream dress, and the process was so easy. Plus, when you think you ve found your dress, they bring you to an area that has more natural lighting, and when you re sure it s the one they take your picture in the gown on the staircase and encourage your entourage to snap some pics as well. This place is amazing! They have so many kinds of dresses to choose from. Veras is mainly wedding dresses. If you are looking for Quinceanera or prom dresses they have a room full of them. I went there to find my Quinceanera dress and I was delighted to find my one of a kind dress! I love it! I can t wait for the date to come! They also have a wide variety of sizes. The staff is professional and friendly. Overall this place is great. I would highly suggest going there to look/find your dress. After a disappointing appointment at David's Bridal, Alicia, my future daughter-in-law, her mom, and I decided to stop at Vera's even though we did not have an appointment. Our experience at Vera's was a magical afternoon that the three of us will talk about always. Not only did Alicia find a dress, she found THE dress. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed, important, and appreciated. I cannot speak highly enough of Bridget, who from the start made it clear that she was ours for however long it took to find the perfect gown in a stress-free environment. We moms relaxed while Bridget did all of the work and Alicia was treated like a princess. Everyone at Vera's contributed to our experience. Tammy, one of the managers, joined us for a while and helped steer us with her motherly advice and expertise. At the end of our visit, we met Vera, who gave Alicia a warm hug. After Alicia said yes to the dress, Bridget fixed Alicia's hair to work with the perfect accompanying veil and brought her into different light to see the spectacular effect. Vera's has a grand staircase for memorable photos of the future bride in her perfect gown. I highly recommend Vera's if you want to find your perfect gown in a stress-free environment that makes you feel special. I will definitely go back to get my mother-of-the-groom dress there even though it is a four hour round trip drive for me.
Went into Veras on an impulse. I just got done at the doctor's and long story short they didn't take me very seriously. Which was hurtful I was alone and I wanted dress shopping experience to be better. They had a consultant call me and she was great but had to go to another appointment and then another lady took over ( was older had glasses) and she seemed more annoyed with me than ready to help. I did find my dress there. However, they made me feel like dirt because I was alone and thought I wasn't a serious buyer.
Caitlin did an awesome job of helping me find my dream dress! She was very encouraging and patient even while trying a few more dresses after finding the one just to be sure. Highly recommend Vera s to any future brides.

I had a great experience at Vera's! They had a huge selection and it was so much fun to see all the available dresses. I worked with Claire, who was amazing! I had a tight timeline to get a dress, but Claire did a great job of narrowing down my options to fit my timeline and budget. She took my feedback and was able to offer dresses that I didn't expect to like but wound up loving. I ended up with a dress that I absolutely love that was a sample and was available immediately. I can't recommend Vera's or Claire enough!

Shopping for my wedding at Vera's has been seamless! From dress shopping, to bridesmaids dress shopping, to getting my accessories Vera's has been beyond helpful every step of the way! I no longer live in Madison and only one of my bridesmaids lives in Madison and they have worked with everyone and made the whole process so easy! Vera's has gone above and beyond to make my experience nothing short of amazing. Recently, they posted a picture of bracelets they had just received in to social media and I called because I thought that one matched my headpiece- the girl I talked to went and found my headpiece, took a picture of it next to the bracelet and texted the picture to me. I called back to order the bracelet over the phone and she stored it with all of my other stuff until I am ready to pick it up. The fact that my dress can be left there until the wedding has made my life so easy as well! I would HIGHLY recommend Vera's for any and all formal wear needs, I am so impressed by the customer service I have received.
I have never had a better experience dress shopping in my life. The selections were so curated and of such a high quality. The staff were not pushy, and very open and upfront about everything. I had the most wonderful experience at Vera s. Great selection in a wide price range. The staff really listens to you. Emily, Jennifer and Tammy were fabulous! If you re near Madison, Vera s is a must for finding your perfect dress.
This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had! It was my first time trying on bridal gowns and it went like this:
- She brought 2 dresses I couldn't even get over my hips
- Left me sitting in the room with nothing but a bra and slip on for longer than was comfortable
- After the 3rd dress she tried selling it to me, even though it's not what I wanted
- Wouldn't let my mother and I leave without having Vera come in and she tried to sell me on the dress I didn't like
- Then made us wait some more until they took us to the back of house to look at more dresses, even though we told them we weren't interested in seeing that
- This sales rep had no idea what I wanted in my gown and didn't really care to ask
I was in sales for 10 years and this was the WORST sales interaction I've ever had. I DO NOT recommend them.
December 7th was the perfect day and Jayme my bridal consultant made it just that. I could ve of not dreamt up a better day if I wanted to. She helped me pick out my bridesmaid dresses on a previous date and I was so impressed with her that I requested her for my appointment to pick out my bridal gown. She was helpful, attentive, and paid attention to every detail. I would recommend Vera's to anyone. They have so much selection you don't need to go anywhere else and I would highly recommend Jayme because if you want the perfect consultant to make sure your big day is everything you want and more she is it!

She came up with creative ideas to make the dress exactly how I pictured and was great about understanding what I liked or didn't like about certain dresses and pulling a variety of options. I had an excellent experience at Vera's. They were kind, thoughtful, and personable. All it took was a brief description of the type of dress I was looking for and Becca pulled a variety of dresses I loved. She found my dream dress within five dresses. She also made sure I tried on dresses I didn't have in mind just to make sure I was happy with my choice, and I appreciated her thoroughness. We even got to meet Vera herself! They have a wonderful array of dresses within many price ranges. I would highly recommend finding your dress at Vera's!
I found my dream wedding gown at Vera's. I felt so comfortable and at home there. Vera herself even helped me throughout my appointment. I was treated like royalty! I was not rushed and the assistants there were very thorough and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back with my bridesmaids for their dresses! I will FOREVER refer brides to Vera's.

My appointment felt very personal--she was very thorough with her questions, and definitely met every expectation I have for my wedding dress. She also helped me push through the tears. Haha.
Vera's has a HUGE selection of dresses, and as a plus-sized woman, I was so happy to have found a place where I had over 700 options! I went on a Saturday, and Vera came over to talk to me. She is so kind, and you can tell that she built her business with love and each individual bride in mind.

She listened to me, was incredibly patient and accommodating with my Mom and I who had challenging schedules, and she made me feel beautiful and confident with my choice. I was first introduced to Vera's when I attended a bridal expo in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I was impressed by the wide selection of unique dresses. The woman working the booth was also extremely knowledgeable about the boutique and had a genuine love for the industry. I knew I had to schedule a dress appointment at Vera's. Although it was just my mom and me, my appointment was treated just the same as if I had a large group. We were in a spacious and comfortable room, the stylist took her time with us, and I felt special the entire time. Each dress that was being brought in was in line with my style, but with each dress, they got better. I was not only impressed by the beautiful designs but also the reasonable prices! I found the perfect dress to wear to my wedding reception, a sparkly Calla Balche. I twirled the night away in a dress that made me feel like a princess thanks to the passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable staff at Vera's Bridal. It was because of her attention to detail and listening that my friend found her dream dress. Lydia added the straps to make it absolutely perfect. She really knew what she was doing. Lisa made the experience very special and fun! She helped me find a wedding gown that made me feel beautiful and that I knew my husband would also love. She also did an amazing job showing me various bridesmaid dress options that would be flattering across the wide range of body types of my bridal party and respected my vision of the wedding style so that the overall group would look cohesive and stunning. I had 2 AMAZING experiences at Vera's House of Bridals. The first was when I went to shop for my wedding dress. I had a larger groups of girls with me (6 plus me) and they were able to accommodate all of us comfortably. We had our own private room for trying on dresses and it felt like I was in my own little world. I did not really know what kind of dress I was looking for, but my consultant Tessa was able to nail down my likes and dislikes right away by asking the right questions and we found the perfect dress and veil on only try #3!!! The second experience was 3 weeks later when we went shopping for the bridesmaids dresses. We were lucky enough to have Tessa as our consultant again, and she did everything she could to make our experience just as wonderful as the first. She allowed me and my gals to pick out all the dresses we wanted to try (there was a huge selection!) and my girls were able to pick out the ones they wanted. I even requested that Tessa grab my dress and bring it in the room so we could make sure everything would match. She did such a wonderful job with us, and I cannot say enough great things about our shopping experiences. Vera's had everything we were looking for and more. We will definitely be back to look for accessories and mother of the bride and groom dresses.
Vera's House of Bridals is a wonderful store that creates a special experience for a bride to be. I loved the organization and wide variety of options they had. Bridget, our stylist, blended in perfectly with our group making it a fun, comfortable experience. She did a great job picking out dresses based on what I was looking for and respected my budget.
