Love my dress, amazing experience start to finish. My consultant Clare put me in a number of amazing dresses but she hit it out of the park with the dress I ultimately choose. Couldn't be happier! Enjoyed talking to Vera herself who popped in and out of my room during my appointment.

I had been feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure at other bridal stores, but I never felt this way at Vera s. Every employee was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. Dixie was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what to bring me to try on. Dixie took the time to make sure I was ready to make my final decision and I never once felt rushed at all. I am so happy with my dress and knowing the employees care as much as they do makes everything even better. I can t say enough good things about Vera s! It was the best experience!

I went to Vera's for the first time in May 2017. I live in Northern Illinois so the drive up is about an hour and a half. My nerves were a little high but I was excited! When I reached Vera's, I was greeted by Caitlin who was my bridal consultant. Let me tell you about Caitlin, aside from being beautiful, she was so warm and welcoming. We immediately sat down and started talking about the wedding date and what dresses I would like to try. When we got to the dressing room, she brought me this gorgeous A-line with lace all over and a gorgeous back with buttons. From the moment I tried it on, I knew it was the one but I had reservations. I tried on a ball gown after that and I got all dolled up with the veil and the bouquet. I left leaving I thought the ball gown was the one, but I couldn't stop thinking about the A-line. Today, I went back to Vera's determined to try on the A-line again. When I arrived I was told Caitlin was working and I requested her right away! I was greeted again with a warm and excited welcome from her! It was like seeing an old friend again. She got the A-line for me and I tried it on with a veil and I just knew this was it! My family and friends came in and she asked me if I was saying "yes to the dress" and I did! When we went down on the stairs for the traditional Vera's picture, she made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the whole world. She continued to compliment me while fluffing my dress and taking my picture. I couldn't imagine anyone else but her as my bridal consultant. She is an amazing and attentive consultant and anyone would be so honored to have her as theirs. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING CAITLIN! Thank you for making me feel so gorgeous and making my dress shopping experience so lovely, comfortable, and fun.

My experience at Vera s with Saritah was everything I could ve hoped for. Found the wedding dress of my dreams well within my budget. Very helpful and caring people. Amazing facility with a huge selection.

I really appreciated that Vera's had dresses in bigger sizes. (I'm normally a 20-22). I didn't feel as if my choices were limited or that I couldn't find a style that worked for me. With Erika's excellent help I found THE dress that was exactly what I was looking for, and on budget. She even hugged me as I left the salon. I walked away elated. It was a shopping experience I wasn't expecting to be able to have as a bigger bride, but I'm so grateful that Vera's could make it happen.

Vera's had a huge selection, and really staffs up their consultants. We walked in with no appointment on a Saturday afternoon, they were busy (prom season!), and yet they found a consultant who spent two hours with us. She put me in a good variety of gowns and really helped me determine where my heart was leading me in terms of dresses. Eventually, we had to leave because I wasn't ready to make a decision and hadn't found the definite one yet, and just needed a break. They had a lot of solid options, but the consultant didn't really hold to my price range, she gave me a lot of dresses that were a few hundred dollars over, and she kept saying there was one more dress she really wanted me to see, and then bringing 2 or 3. My guess is she really wanted me to decide there and get her a commission, and while she was incredibly helpful, I just burnt out and didn't pick my dress during that visit.

Every single thing about my experience at Vera's was wonderful. I started looking at two other boutiques in Chicago before heading up to Madison after a friend had some good words to say about Vera's.
First: The location is easy to find, and has a lot of parking space (though it was very busy on a Saturday, but that makes sense!). Then, inside, Bridget helped us through every step of the way. She sat down with us and asked what I was looking for from style, to silhouette, to price, and even looked at photos I had. From there, we were shown our own private room (I had 4 people with me and it was comfortable and a place to sit for everyone). Bridget showed us around the whole place, which has dresses everywhere you look (all sizes, all styles, and even some extremely affordable dresses as low as $400). We pulled some dresses I was eyeing, and started to try on. Bridget was great at listening to what I liked and didn't like, and when we ran out of dresses, she popped out to grab a few others based on what feedback I'd been giving - this repeated a handful of times. (Bridget was also great at having conversation with you - just a few comments here and there, asking about us, but still working and making us feel very at home and efficient.)
One great perk about this location is that, if you're really liking the dress in your private room, you can move out to this great runway-style, mirrored hall with great lighting that really gives you a fantastic view of the dress from all angles. I don't know how long appointments are supposed to be, but we showed up early and got taken care of right away, and then spent 3 hours with Bridget. It never felt rushed or that we were being a burden. I ended up trying on *the* dress about 5 times, trying to decide between it and another, and Bridget was all about it. And probably the best part was when Bridget put my hair into a quick up-do with a veil to complete the look. It was really going above and beyond, and it's what ultimately sealed the deal with my dress. There were tons of brides there that day, but we never felt crowded once, or intruded upon. Vera herself was even there and checked in on us with a sweet smile. We didn't even look at the other dresses, but it was clear there was a huge selection of bridesmaids and mother dresses, too. Highly, highly recommend Vera's.

I had the most amazing bridal gown shopping experience at Vera's. Saritah, my consultant, listened intently to my verbal and nonverbal likes and dislikes as we went through the process of trying on dresses. She even made it a point to remind my party that I would be the one wearing the dress, so my opinion mattered most. She truly made the whole day about me. She even took time to scour the store for a friend I knew was there to come see me in a gown. It was an unbelieveable day, and I left my appointment on cloud nine. I would recommend Vera's (and Saritah) to anyone looking for a bridal gown. Vera even came to congratulate me on my choice!

Vera's is definitely the place to get your perfect dress. I had previously purchased a dress from another store, but the store closed down without any notice leaving me without a dress. I only had a short time before I had to leave to go back to school, so we called Vera's hoping to get an appointment. They told us not to worry about an appointment and just come in, and that afternoon we were there and received amazing service from all the staff we interacted with. My consultant, Erika, and manager, Tammy, spent a couple hours with me with amazing and positive attitudes that definitely lifted my spirits. They also reassured me that they could get me a dress in time for my wedding in 8 months.
After showing them a picture of the dress I had already chosen, and they knew which dress it was right away. They didn't pressure me to purchase that dress again or to try on new dresses, but they were more than happy to show me a few other dresses. Erika spent a couple hours with my indecisive self until I found a new dress that I fell in love with even more. Tammy jumped in when she had a chance to pull some dresses and help me with my dress vision. Both women were extremely encouraging and knew which dresses would look amazing on me, even when I didn't think I could pull them off. I can't thank Vera's enough for turning my wedding dress nightmare into something amazing!

I visited Vera's back in October. I drove from Milwaukee because their reviews are so much better than the reviews for the boutiques in Milwaukee. I am between a 14/16 and wanted to try dresses on for fit without clamps. They carry sizes 2 to 32, which is very nice and a very smart business practice. I came in wanting a specific Justin Alexander dress, which unfortunately was not available to see in person as the stock sample had been previously sold. Instead they pulled dresses with similar features, so I could get an idea of what it might be like. They also pulled other tea-length dresses as that was the style I was wanting. Then they had me try on some frilly full-length gowns for comparison. Tammy assisted me; she was very kind and helpful!! I put down $100 for their feature that if they heard from the designer that the selected style was being discontinued, then they would call, so I could pay the full deposit to get the dress ordered before it was discontinued, totally worthwhile. In the end, I drove two hours to a boutique in northern Illinois the following week to see the dress I had ordered in person and I hated it! However, at that shop, I saw a different JA that was awesome. It was just in the wrong color. As soon as I got back to my car, I called Vera's to change my order, which wasn't a big deal because I had not paid my deposit yet. They asked me to send an email with the change, so easy. I set the deposit due date three weeks after my initial visit because I knew I was going to call all the boutiques within a 100 miles to find the dress in order to see in person. Ironically, Vera's had sold the stock sample of this new dress a few years back. It worked out in the end because the next week I went to Phoenix with my mom for a weekend and the single shop that stocks the main JA line had this new dress in the correct color and I was able to try it on. I got the feeling and knew I finally found the perfect dress for my personality and style. I highly recommend this boutique. I am glad that I ordered my dress from them. I cannot wait to get it. I know my groom and guests will be very impressed! Thank you for your help!!

I would truly give this 'store' a 0 if I could. I went in with my best friend. Her wedding is this September. She fell in love with a gown, but said she had to think a little on it before spending that much money. The consultant said if she didn't purchase the gown today that she wouldn't be able to come back to the store. They lowered the Gown by $400 and said the offer is only good today to reorder this or don' t come back. This store is not family - oriented nor do they have good customer service. Stay far away from this store brides. They try so hard to get the sale that day, it's pathetic.

I can not wrap around my mind around how perfect everything was at Vera's. When we first arrived, I had already been to about 6 other shops. I was very hopeful because I had read their reviews and they seemed to give an experience unlike any other that I had yet. We were paired with Kylee, and she was a goddess for us. She really got a sense of my style and everything she brought to me I absolutely loved. Most places I had gone to I was lucky if they had even one dress I liked. Vera's had 6 that I was so gaga over. The customer service was divine the entire time we were there. (a long time! I wanted to try just about everything on!) Kylee was very easy to connect with, no generic conversations like the other salons. We finally decided between two, but I wanted to go home and think about it. They were so genuine and understanding, we talked with Vera herself through our entire time there(both time), and I loved letting her see each dress and getting her very wanted advice. (She knows what she is talking about ladies! Take the time to ask her what she thinks!) I knew after going to another store to look for anything I thought I was missing out on, after my experience at Vera's, no other bridal salon would even compare. We came back about a week and a half later to try back on my favorites, and the one I knew was the one was still stunning to me as the first time. Vera's had AMAZING selection for plus size bridal gowns. Reasonable prices! (You get what you pay for ladies!) The BEST costumer service I have experienced from anywhere my entire life! Thank you so much Vera and Kylee! You truly made me feel so good about myself and the choice I made!!!!

Shopped for mother-of-the-bride dress here; super high-pressure salesperson -- insisted on squeezing me into dresses 2 sizes too small. I'll be shopping elsewhere for my next dress.

I had the most amazing experience at Vera's! My stylist was Erika and she was the absolute best. At no point did I ever feel rushed or pushed in to making a purchase that I wasn't ready for. She was really patient with me and did an excellent job at pulling dress options. She was also very respectful of my budget and didn't grab anything that I couldn't afford. Their showroom is stunning and you can actually walk around and look at some dresses, which was an experience I felt was lacking at the other salons I went to. Overall the service was amazing, the dresses were beautiful with a wide variety of price points, and I found the dress of my dreams thanks to Erika. I will absolutely recommend Vera's to anyone who is looking for a dress--even if you're not in the Madison area, it's worth the trip!

I can t say enough about the experience we had at Veras, Lisa did a great job in helping my daughter Colleen Abbey find the perfect dress. Lisa was so attentive to what Colleen liked and didn t like in the dresses she tried on. Everyone was so nice and we also got to meet Vera!! Going into this I really didn t know what to expect and the entire staff made us feel relaxed and welcome the entire time we were there. I will definitely make sure to spread the word about Veras house of bridals.

My best friend had an INCREDIBLE experience with Debra. The bride knew a few details of what she wanted, but wasn t confident that she could communicate her needs properly. Debra had no problems finding dress after dress that fit the brides description. Within 45 minutes she found the dress that gave our whole entourage goosebumps the second she brought it in the room. Thanks Veras and Debra for your work and expertise. It s wonderful to support a family run business and have this whole process be painless.

My bridesmaids and I had a wonderful time working with Maddie and Ronda on Sunday! Maddie was amazing to work with and I felt like she truly listened to what I was saying and what I liked. Ronda was helpful getting all my girls measured and giving her expert opinion on sizes and styles! My sister-in-law and best friend got their dresses at Vera's, so when I got engaged it was the first appointment I booked despite my living in New Mexico. It was worth the trip. They have enough of a selection to cater to what I wanted and they never tried to put me into something I didn't want. I bought a gown I love from them and I absolutely loved every minute of it.

I visited Vera's a couple weeks ago. I was accustomed to the few small local shops near me that I had visited. You go in, look around, pick out what you are interested in trying on and then get a dressing room. So when I arrived and was taken straight to the dressing room where Lisa interviewed me and then said "I'll be back with your dress!" I was anxious and nervous, she didn't even ask what dress size I was. I tell you what, Lisa knows how to do her job, and does it well! To my surprise, she did not lie. She did bring me my dress! It was exactly what I was picturing for my special day, was perfect for my body shape and was absolutely beautiful!! Special thank you to Lisa and Vera's House of Bridal!

Oh my goodness. I wish I could shout it from the hills, Vera's is the place to go!!! I had such an AMAZING experience with Claire. She was so great, she made me feel comfortable and "at home" while trying on dresses. I was being difficult because I couldn't nail down what I did/didn't like, and she was totally cool with it, and was able to figure it out. I ended up saying YES to the dress. Claire made the whole process feel special from the beginning of the day until the end when I came back later that day. They have sooo many amazing dresses to chose from for EVERY style and size. 12/10 recommend coming here. Everyone that I got to work with were so sweet. I'm so happy I came here!

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Vera s! The staff is beyond exceptional in both their professionalism and their ability to connect with their clients. Vera herself even stopped in my room and took the time to speak with me and even posed for a picture with me! I was beyond wowed with my entire experience. I cannot describe how amazing my experience was at Vera's Bridals! I came to Vera's on my very first day of dress shopping and ordered my dream dress that day! Tory was my consultant and she was absolutely incredible. She attentively listened to what I wanted in a dress and respected my budget. Truth be told, it was not the dress that I was expecting to wear on my wedding day. However, their dream team of bridal consultants found me MY DRESS. Words cannot express how thankful I am for that. The entire experience, from the moment I walked through your doors on my first day of dress shopping to the time I picked up my dress, was so amazing. All of the ladies made it such a joyful and smooth process, and I am so appreciative for that. I can't even count the amount of times consultants stopped by my room during the initial shopping day and fittings to tell me how beautiful I was. As a bride to be, that is the best feeling in the world. Even though all their consultants are truly amazing, I want to give a special thank you to Tory, Kayla, Sarah, Sherry, and most importantly, Vera! I bought my wedding dress at Vera's and couldn't be happier with my experience. They have incredible gowns in all price points. Tammy patiently and expertly helped me pick out my dress. I never felt like I was being pushed to spend more than I wanted, I actually came in below budget. She helped me order the right size--- I didn't need a single alteration! Bridgett helped my bridesmaids and I pick out bridesmaids dresses! She was excellent and made us all feel very comfortable!

I don't think I can express how amazing my experience was in just one comment! I showed up to Vera's already assuming the worst, just like my previous experiences with bridal shops, but I was entirely blown away. My consultant Caitlin was absolutely fantastic! I felt so welcomed & comfortable that I could truly express my feelings about which gowns I did or did not like. She listened to me, stayed within my budget, & was incredibly helpful & patient. I had eventually narrowed it down to two dresses that I had a difficult time picking between-- with the help of Caitlin & Tammy, I said yes to the dress! They truly gave me amazing advice & instruction when narrowing it down. Looking back at the pictures, the dress they helped me pick was definitely the right one & im so I didn't walk away with the other one. I cannot thank them enough for all their help.

I had an amazing experience shopping at Vera's last night with Tammy! After going to two other bridal shops and not seeing much of a selection or being able to stay within my budget Tammy showed me plenty of styles and dresses that were well within (and some even under!) my price point. I didn't feel like she was just trying to make a sale at all. She was honest about pros and cons of dresses, incredibly attentive to what I liked and how I felt in each dress, knew what would look good on my body type, and showed me ways we could customize stuff to be more my taste. I couldn't be happier with my dress and can't wait for it to come in!

I had such a great experience at Vera's a couple weeks ago. I went in convinced I wasn't going to buy anything and instead get a feel for cuts/styles/embellishments to better understand what I wanted. Bridget was phenomenal; she listened to and understood what I had to say even when I couldn't articulate my exact feelings. I had such a wonderful experience at Vera's and I can not recommend them enough! My consultant, Saritah, was fun & knowledgable. She went off the very little that I gave her and helped me to find the perfect dress :) My mom & friends had a blast and felt like they were really included in the whole experience. We also interacted with Vera and her daughter, Renee. They were so wonderful and helped to ease any concern I had.

Erika was our shopping assistant today. My sister was nervous going into the appointment, but Erika took such amazing care of us. She was helpful, insightful, and genuine. Never pushy, she took my sister's feedback and desires and found the perfect dress for her wedding day. This was so much better than we ever could've hoped. Had a wonderful experience with Bridget and her shadow, Margaret. I didn t expect to find a wedding dress I loved on my first trip dress shopping, let alone end up going up with the first dress they put me in. They made me feel very comfortable the entire appointment, and I never felt like they were pushing me to make a sale. The entire experience was much less stressful than I expected; I d even say it was enjoyable (I don t generally enjoy shopping)! Highly recommend this salon.

I found my perfect wedding dress at Vera's yesterday! We had so much fun with Lisa my consultant. She brought in such a great selection of dresses and listened to what i loved and disliked about each one and found the dress that fit my vision and personality perfectly. I would highly reccomend this bridal salon. I plan to return for my Moms dress for the wedding.

I couldn t have had a better experience anywhere else! The service and class that your staff has in treating women coming in to find their forever dress was beyond what I could ve imagined. I was truly nervous not finding my dress but Lisa helped me find it. Women always told me that you ll just know when you find it. I truly believe that now. I am absolutely flabbergasted by how incredible my experience at Vera's was. I made an appointment and stopped in with my sister; we'd done some searching in Chicago and Milwaukee, but this was our first foray into Madison wedding dress shopping. We worked with Saritah, and I am so glad that we did - she is truly incredible!

While Saritah got us set up with a room, she encouraged my sister and I to browse the sample sale on the first floor to get a sense of what we might like. Next, we chatted for quite awhile with Saritah about what I'd liked and disliked about previous dresses I had tried on, as well as what I was looking for. We talked about some of the sample dresses and what I liked and disliked about those, as well. Then we got a tour (including meeting Vera herself!) and were situated in a fitting room. Saritah brought a small selection of dresses she'd hand-curated based on our conversation, and the first one I tried on was The Dress.

I'd probably tried in the neighborhood of 40 dresses on before we ever got to Vera's, but I had reservations about every single one. Too much, too little, not quite the right cut, or there was nothing wrong with it but it just wasn't the one. Saritah listened to everything we'd learned from every dress we tried on, and she put me in the dress that I would say yes to first thing that day.

Of course, I needed to be sure, so I went on to try on another 20 or so dresses over the course of nearly four hours. Saritah brought an assortment that reflected my likes, but often had new twists on those things I loved -- and these dresses were beautiful, but they were not The Dress. So we decided to put that first dress back on (after Saritah brought us water and snacks, since it'd been awhile!). No sooner was it on me than I acknowledged what we all already knew - I'd had a strong emotional reaction to that dress, and it clearly hit me in a way no other dress in all of the million stores we've been to has. It was exactly in my price range, flattering, and Saritah even accessorized it so beautifully that I wound up purchasing the belt she'd originally styled it with.

I remain unable to believe that a stylist was so skilled that she understood *precisely* what I wanted -- and that less than a half hour after meeting me, she was putting me into the dress that so perfectly matched my desires and my personality. It is absolutely insane to me - I don't think I've ever had such a positive shopping experience. The only possible explanation is that Saritah is a mind-reader with a very good eye to fashion!

I cannot possibly recommend Vera's, and specifically Saritah, enough.

My experience at Vera s was absolutely amazing! My consultant, Katelyn, was so kind and she went above and beyond to ensure that I found the perfect dress. I never felt rushed or pressured to made a decision and she really cared about helping me find my dress for my special day. Vera herself stopped in several times, which was so nice. You can tell everyone that works there truly cares about what they do and it makes the whole experience unforgettable. I would not go anywhere else!

Veras was AMAZING. I had such high expectations and they exceeded every one of them!!!! TORY THANK YOU for making my experience wedding dress shopping that of a dream. You are so knowledgeable and have such a calming affect and I was so lucky to have had the privilege to work with you!!! The gowns at Veras are stunning and they have a HUGE selection almost to the point where I don t know what dress to choose and I was afraid going into it that I wouldn t be able to find one. Thank you so much Tory and everyone else at Veras!! The only thing I didn t know was that they accept gratuity so I would have liked to have more cash on me at the time. She deserved every one of my spare pennies!!

Update: Vera's feels like they are now part of my family. After picking out my wedding gown in May (thank you again Saritah!), we came back last week to pick out bridesmaid dresses. We worked with Tammy and she made me feel empowered as a bride and woman. We picked out the perfect dress for my girls. After a special afternoon, I had the honor of meeting Vera. Today was the first day that I went to Vera's bridal and I would recommend Vera's to anyone that is getting married and needs a wedding dress! My consultant was Erika and she was absolutely amazing! She took the time to understand what I was looking for and every dress she recommend I completely understood why! The dresses she picked were beautiful! Everywhere you turned in Vera's was even more gorgeous dresses! There were many different styles, colors, and fits to choose from. If you are looking for a wedding dress, I highly recommend Vera's!

I called ahead to see if a certain dress was in. When my personal attendant, matron of honor, and myself arrived, we were greeted kindly right away. A room was ready and the dress was brought up quickly for me by Lisa. She made the entire experience wonderful. Lisa made sure that all my wants were met even with me being a very picky person. Vera s gave me the best experience. I went to 3 other wedding dress shops before going to Veras and am so glad I did. 35 years ago my mom got her wedding dress here, and now this was where I got mine. I worked with Saritah, who was amazing. She asked the perfect questions to help me find my perfect wedding dress. I m so thankful for Saritah at Veras for helping me and being so wonderful through the whole process!

I had many friends get their wedding dresses at Vera's and when it was my turn to shop for my dress I knew I needed to look there. I was lucky enough to have Tammy as my consultant, she did an absolutely fabulous job and stayed very professional the entire appointment. She listened to what I wanted and led me to finding the dress that I ended up ordering, which wasn't what I expected but I am so happy with it! Tammy gracefully handled my particular requests/likes and dislikes and supported me and my decisions. The selection at Vera's is outstanding and they respect your budget. Also had a person available on the spot to discuss potential alterations which was helpful. If looking for a wedding dress in the Madison area, you must try Veras!

Tory was AMAZING at helping me find my dress!!! Vera s was the fifth bridal store that I went to, and by far the best. They have a great selection, and wonderful staff. At my first visit, I was able to narrow it down to two favorite dresses. I came back to try them on one more time and make my final decision. I couldn t be happier!! Tory even came in on her day off to help me at my second appointment. Talk about dedication! I am soo glad my friend recommended Vera s to me, and I will recommend this place over and over again.

Honestly, the best way to describe Vera's is "they get it." They understand the stress, anxiety, fear, hope, and all of the other feelings the bride has coming into the appointment. Margaret listened to every comment I made and pulled dresses that met every odd preference I came up with. Not only did she do a great job focusing the appointment on me, but also made my guests feel valued and included in the process! I highly recommend Vera's for a low-stress, no-pressure shopping experience. Also, they did a great job managing COVID-19 distancing!

I just purchased my dress from Vera's and I am so happy! Corin was absolutely amazing and got my style right away! She pulled the perfect dresses and accessories and her attention to detail was immaculate. The atmosphere at Vera's is so welcoming and the customer service is great! They even pulled the seamstress in to chat with me about how the dress would look if I made some modifications. I decided to try Vera's after reading all the positive reviews and the comments couldn't be more true. I had such a wonderful experience here 2 weeks ago. It was a pretty busy Saturday, but the individual rooms and assigned stylists made it feel very personalized, private, and incredibly efficient. Bridget was absolutely fantastic! I really felt like she wanted to help me find my dress, not just sell me something. I never felt rushed to hurry up and pick, or that my time was running out. I ended up getting the second dress I tried on, but Bridget was more than willing to keep pulling dresses and help me try other options just to confirm that my dress was truly my dress. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding dress!
