I got to say I am not one to go to the dealership for services but I went earlier due to my air conditioning not working consistently and figured it would be covered under warranty, which it was. Fabian helped me and kept me updated throughout the process. He was professional as well as helpful. I would recommend this dealership for further services and would like to work with Fabian in the near future.

Set up a service appointment on line that was confirmed. This was for a recall. Went there and after an hour of waiting was told they needed to order the parts and it would be a week. Service Advisor asked me if parts had been ordered!
After a week was told the parts were in. Went back in, left the car, given shuttle ride home. Called early afternoon and was told 5 hours later, the parts were given away! That they can't hold the parts for you.Called to talk to the service manager-it went directly to voice mail and call was not returned. I will not be going back. Worst customer service EVER.

I purchased a 2016 Veloster one month ago and had an issue arise. I brought the vehicle in and the service department went beyond what I took the car to be serviced. Great team of people and great leadership. I would highly reccomend taking you vehicle here. Very satisfied customer.

Edit 2: it's been over two weeks since we signed all of the documents for our trade-in and purchase and vandergriff has billed my bank but they have not paid a dime of the agreed upon trade-in. So now have two car notes and I am having to pay the note on a car I no longer own. For all I know they could have already sold it. I've called them over 20 times since May and I have had to fight and claw to get any kind of info or movement out of them. They only delivered my new car after I posted this original reveiw. There are a lot of dealerships in DFW, do yourself a favor and drive to another one.

Edit: My new car was delivered today with the agreed upon repairs. As it turns out, this dealership had to send it to a nearby Volkswagen dealer to be fixed, and it was there that the delays were inflicted. As compensation, Vangergriff did deliver the car directly to my house, which was over an hour away.

I hope I can increase this rating later, but they have done a terrible job at completing this sale. I found a car in their used lot, and wanted to trade in my van. The price they offered was good, not great, but good. They would not negotiate at all. I eventually caved and took the offer with a promise that some repairs would be made to the new car. It has been nearly two weeks now and I still don't have the car, and I have very little info about when I will get the car. On top of that, they already took the plates off of my van and gave me dealer plates that expire every 7 days.

When I enter the parking lot someone immediately came out to assist me. Everyone I came in contact with was very pleasant. Greeted me with a smile. I told them ( Alex) exactly what I wanted and she went and got exactly what I wanted at the price I want it. I highly recommend that you stop there first when thinking about buying a new vehicle are used vehicle.

There is a hassle-free environment at this dealership. Before I went there, I already had the vehicle that I wanted picked out (I had seen it online). When I got there, the sales associate greeted me immediately. And literally, after about a 2 minute conversation, we were looking at the car I wanted and starting the purchasing process. The sales associate and the finance mgr did an excellent job. They got me into the vehicle that I wanted in a relatively short time. I really appreciate the service that I received at Vandergriff Hyundai. Thank you so much.

I bought a Ford truck here a few months ago. I know, I know, but they had a good price on it and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Fast forward a few months when I'm notified it's time for my free (first) oil change and service. I set up a specified time. They are aware of the automobile I have as it was purchased from them not long ago. I arrive at 1130 for my scheduled appointment and they take the keys. I ask for an approximate wait time and was told an hour for oil change, quick inspection and a wash. I figured I'd go have lunch as it would be ready when I return. Just before I leave, I noticed it had started to rain. They left my truck window down. I had to go and ask someone to please roll up my window as rain was literally pouring in. Just a smile from the employee, no apologies or attempt to dry what I assume are soaked electronic window and lock buttons. Sigh.

I give it an hour and 15 min just to be safe. I arrive and ask about the status of my truck. They said that it wasn't done, that they had to order a part (filter) as it was not something they stocked.

They knew for over a week that this automobile would be coming for service and yet the part is not here. I confirmed yesterday that I would be there for my scheduled appointment and yet they had to order the part.

Scheduled appointment : 1130
Remaining in the waiting area : 200 pm

No updates from anyone yet. Stepped outside and looks like they are finally wiping it down.

Truck returned : 215pm

Car wash was a joke. No one walked around my car with me to make sure everything was OK... Had to clean off two noticible spots of tar of some type. Mirrors were not even wiped, just sprayed with water it seems... Water splotches so bad I could barely see the reflection.

I would have gladly paid for that service to save myself wasting most of a day here.

Note: the stars given were to reflect the sales people who helped me buy the original car.

Luis is THE BEST!!! He worked so hard to get me into my 2017 elantra and I could not be happier with my purchase. I love my new car. Our experience was great, even though Luis was our salesperson the other reps were friendly and engaging. Luis got me into my car in about 3.5 hours and he is so knowledgeable and just a down to earth guy. He kept reminding us there was no pressure but me and my wife went there to buy a car and left with one! He explored all available options to get us the best deal possible and I just couldn't be happier with our experience. Thanks so much Luis!!!!

We were lured here to test drive a Hyundai after r...

We were lured here to test drive a Hyundai after receiving a free $50 Visa card if we test drive a car. We needed a new car and were leaning towards getting a Nissan Rogue. After researching Hyundai vehicles online before we came in, we were soon interested. We found one online with a price listed that they had inside the dealership showcase (Tucson with all the works). After test driving three vehicles with Patrick our sales rep, we fell in love with the Tucson on the floor. We told him the price we saw for this exact car listed online. He came back 10 minutes later after speaking to his boss and gave us a price that was 6k higher than what they had listed online. We told him we would pay the price listed online and he gave us some bull about why the price is higher. We told him we weren t interested and got up to leave. He then said he d talk to his boss one more time and see what he could do. He came back with the same exact price listed online that we wrote down! To the exact dollar! That s what we told him initially and they tried to rip us off 6k or start the negotiating way high. We felt that was unethical and false advertising since we told them from the beginning we wanted the price they had on this exact car online. We got up and went to Nissan and bought a Rogue for that price because they have a better reputation and we felt scammed here.

We filled out the paperwork for the $50 Visa card we were guaranteed for test driving a car with our sales rep. After 9 phone calls to people over a period of 5 months (I have names and times I called written down for my records), we finally got our gift card. They told us it would take a couple weeks to process. Every time I called (which was about once every two or three weeks) they said the HR person or secretary is processing it and would call us back and take care of it. Nobody ever called me back. Nobody ever started to process it like they all kept telling me every time I called. I had to keep bugging them and finally got through to someone in HR to help us. It should not take 9 phone calls over 5 months to get what was promised to us.! This place is shady and I wouldn t recommend them at all. They use false advertising pricing vehicles for sale online and make it EXTREMELY difficult for you to get your $50 gift card for a test drive. I don t need $50, but it was the principle that really bothered me, so that s why I kept bugging them for it. Honesty goes a long way for me when I m spending over 30k for a new car. This place didn t display that for us.

I just purchased a new 2021 Hyundai Palisade from ...

I just purchased a new 2021 Hyundai Palisade from Vandergriff last night! First, I would like to say thank you to my Sales Consultant, Dylin Soukhavong, who was patient, friendly and professional throughout this entire process. He was extremely new (didn t even have his own business cards yet), but he took the time to research any questions I asked and didn t try to BS his way through when he wasn t sure about something. He took the time to check before answering, which I completely respect. I will say that it is because of him that I decided to purchase from Vandergriff.
I wasn t too happy that the sales manager refused to offer any deals or rebates on this vehicle, since this SUV was flying off the shelf and could be sold over MSRP . When I found out that another dealership was willing to offer $1600 off MSRP, I jumped on the chance to buy from them. Unfortunately, Vandergriff had the ONLY vehicle, in the REGION, with the features/specs I wanted and they refused to do a trade with the other dealership (I guess, proving Mr. Sales Manager s point that they were easy to sell). So, it was either wait for the other dealership to order the vehicle I wanted to get the discounts or go back to Vandergriff with my tail tucked between my legs. It was then that I received a follow up call from Dylin. He went back and forth to try to get the same deal and was able to get close enough to what the other dealership was offering (I know, $1600 is a drop in the bucket on a $42,000 car, but at least it is something). That same day, Dylin picked me up in the SUV, drove me to Vandergriff and walked me through the purchase process.
I think Vandergriff did a good job getting this young man into sales (he was previously a mechanic). His personality and professionalism is a refreshing change from the high pressure, aggressive sales people I have met at other dealerships. I think he will do well in the future!
Thank you again, Dylin and best wishes for the future!

I own a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. I was told by my ...

I own a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. I was told by my regular mechanic that it needed an EvacCanister replacement, and that it would be best if i take it to a dealership to have this done because it involves flushing the gas lines and messing around with the gas tank in general.
I called this dealership over the course of 3 days, several times. I left 4 messages with the ladies at the front requesting a call back. I never received a call back. In hindsight this should have been my first warning, no good company has poor communication skills.
So, I went up there in person, waited almost 20 minutes to talk to a guy who got me the estimates I needed. I made some time the next Friday and brought up there. They told me the wait was going to be a while, and they probably wouldn t be able to fix it until monday. I told them this was fine.
I get a call on Saturday letting me know that it wasn't the EvacCanister, but just a simple hose attached to it that wasn't on all the way. (FYI i paid about the same amount i would have for the original est. on the EvacCanister for them to hook this hose back on.)
Skeptically, I agreed. They also told me that my car was in desperate need of several other repairs, over a thousand dollars worth of repairs. I was told my car was on the verge of death. Again i skeptically agree, even though i had just had a thorough repair job done not even 3 months prior.
Monday and Tuesday comes and goes, I call- no answer. Wednesday, and I finally get a hold of someone who says, "maybe friday."
Friday comes around, my car has now been with these people for 8 days. I arrive at the dealership and they tell me it's not ready yet? I am told to come back in an hour, I come back in just under 2, and guess what yup- still not ready. I wait another 30 minutes before my service advisor comes out to have me fork out way more money than I had originally wanted to pay for just one repair.
I asked him point blank: "Did you guys test the gas tank issue? it's good now right?" and he tells me, "Well, we didn't test it, but I personally guarantee its fixed, there was nothing else it could possibly be." (this is word-for-word what he said, looking me in the eye telling me this like I wasn't the one who told him what the real issue was to begin with.) as I am sure you've figured out, the gas tank problem is still present. So now i've spent over 1000 dollars get my car NOT fixed. AND HERE'S THE KICKER: my gas mileage has completely PLUMMETED. I drove 2 miles to go home on about half a tank of gas, and when i parked my E was flashing. About 180 miles worth of gas gone in 2 miles. So now i suspect while they were messing with this hose they either punctured something or forgot to put the hose on altogether or some other nonsense because it's obviously leaking oil now. Que calling them back immediately. (and I admit I am freaking out at this point, not quite frothing at the mouth but close.)
The secretary I speak to is one of the ones that took my messages from before (you remember the ones that magically disappeared?) She seems wholly unconcerned but gives me the number to a road side service company and asks me to have it towed back to them. I ask who is paying for it and the answer it get is a shifty, "Well... your insurance..."
Yeah, right.
I ask who is going to pay for the new repairs, and the repairs I'VE ALREADY PAID FOR that are clearly incomplete since the part i originally asked to have replaced is the part that's BROKEN.
She tells me she doesn't know. She doesn't seem to care to go find a manager right now but someone will call me back.
(Maybe.)
And that's why this is the absolute worst service i have ever had hands down. I'm so angry i can't even see straight. Do not recommend, stay away from this awful, awful place.

Welll I am not doing my business here no more. I got my 2 cars here in 2016 and 2018 and wanting to get a third one but service and sale price was not like it use to be. My seller was a kid who yawned to much and the sell manager really didn't want to bring his prices down even though there is better sales in other dealerships with the Santa fe, despite my credit score being good. Oh well. I went with freeman Hyundai dealership and got great service and seller who was energetic and informative. The manager worked with me was amazing. Vandergriff pretty much shot themselves in the leg cause I was going to have two more people get new cars but business is now with freeman Hyundai. #sorrynotsorry

Buyer beware! This dealership (used cars) has to be The Worst car buying experience anyone could ever imagine. Unprofessional salesmen, manger and overall staff. They tried adding fees that ultimately pushed me away from a vehicle I was going to purchase from them.
One fee Was a $400 paint protection they add to all vehicle that wasn t optional for the buyer and another fee at $1700 They call a prep fee all on top of the asking price.
I would never do business with this dealership nor recommend anyone else throwing money away on the not so optional additional fees. And I am not taking about doc fees or taxes etc.
These people are trying to squeeze every single penny they can out of people. I understand it s a business but there s no way anyone should get screwed like that. I let it be known to the manger and salesman that they re dead wrong and took my business elsewhere!

Positive overall. Gabriel was v patient with conveying my counter offers and trying to make the deal work without being pushy. They have to keep it for another few days in order to replace a cracked windshield. They also agreed to replace the front tires which were balding. Hopefully everything will be done to my satisfaction. But so far it s been positive. Also appreciate that the processing guy Cesar wasn t pushy in selling warranty and other optional items. Had a very high pressure experience at signing of paperwork at another dealership a few years back.

Two words: dishonest + incompetent

Two words: dishonest + incompetent

The sales folks are snakes who think you can't figure out their simple tactics then stumble all over themselves when you call them on it.

Quoted me an out the door price at msrp then dropped the price $1,800 off msrp and when I called to get an updated out the door price, told me only $800 less meaning they were dishonestly baking an extra $1000 into their dealer fees.

I will NEVER buy from any of their associated dealerships. Insulted my intelligence with their arrogant incompetence. Nice try, I'll give my business to someone else and you should too!

Excellent service from the start. Employees were extremely safe wearing face masks the whole time. Received timely attention from Josh from the start. He listened to our unique situation and promised to do his best to help although he was extremely honest and made sure to ensure we knew what was going on the whole time. He was the one that found the perfect car for us to look at. He ended up buying it and here s the best part. We were able to sign paperwork from home and they picked up the paperwork from our home so we didn t have to drive back and forth to the dealership in a pandemic. Management was engaged and helpful as well. Excellent service in a timely manner!

Vandergriff was very attentive without being pushy. This was the best car buying experience that I ve had out of 5 purchases. What I appreciate most was them having the total, out-the-door price laid out for me during negotiations. I would definitely buy from them again. Specifically, I had Jason Flores as my contact, very laid back and professional.

Be aware!!!! 10/26/20 Drove 5 hrs to see a 2017 Santa Fe Sport I found on Carfax. It was priced at $15499. Carfax stated many popular features including premium package 3 with leather, gps/navigation, 17 in alloy wheels, to name a few. When the brought me purchase agreement it was $20k+. I said that s not the price so salesman asked if I had read fine print, which I had. Upon reviewing Carfax there was no mention of additional charges. Once home On 10/28/20 I got calls and text from salesman to send ins info and told me there was a recall. I thought it was odd why they hadn t fixed the recall seeing they had car 14 days before I bought. Being a tad suspicious I checked for recall with my VIN and there were none. Did a detailed inspection of car and found they had removed Navigation from my car. Also they stole my floor mats. He told me that I didn t read fine print. Told salesman I would just have my lawyer get involved. 7 minutes later sales manager called me. Told him I was unhappy they stole my mats, cargo Privacy shade and gps/ navigation. He said he would cut me a check for floor mats and we would expedite my issue to his boss. I m an honest person and expect to be treated the same. We will speak again next week to see if they will resolve my issue or if I hand all this over to my lawyer. Do the right this #Vandergriffhyundai #HyundaiUSA

Update 1/5/2021: Vandergriff and I came to an agreement for me to keep the Santa Fe Sport. They sent me the new floor mats they removed, they upgraded my service plan to include free oil changes, and another part that was missing. I am still not completely satisfied but you live and learn, right. I will continue to feel like I was lied too. Due to the fact it was cold, raining, and dark I didn t get to inspect inside and outside of vehicle. There are many scratches and dings that they could have repaired or told me about before I bought it. They didn t even show or teach me the general operation of the features. I had to go to my local dealership in Louisiana to get that. Truly wished that I hadn t found Vandergriff Hyundai in my search for a vehicle.

We purchased our Santa Fe in 2008. The buying exp...

We purchased our Santa Fe in 2008. The buying experience was exhausting. When we finally decided on the car we wanted, it was around 6 pm on a Saturday night. We told them we had to get home because we had a teenager at home that needed to get supper. They insisted that it wouldn't take long. After an hour, we again told them we needed to go. They kept us hanging for another three and a half hours. It was 10:30 before we drove out of there. And in the process, they sold us a maintenance package for $350 that we were told was for all maintenance for the first 3 years/36000 miles. When we went in for our first service, they told us it was just for oil changes. I insisted they refund my money, and after they admitted that the finance person who sold us the "maintenance package" had been fired because he had done the same thing to others, they agreed to refund my money. But since that time, every single service visit has been terrible. When you call to make a service appointment, you will never talk to a human, other than the operator who transfers your call. You will leave a voice message for one of the service desk people, and they will call you back hours later. Last year I took the car in for a recall, and when I got it back, they said they had done something else. I asked the lady what they did, and she couldn't tell me. That is very typical, because none of the service desk people know anything technical at all. A couple of weeks later, I got another recall in the mail. I called the dealer and spoke to the Service Director to find out if the second thing they had done two weeks previous was, in fact, what this new recall was for. He assured me that it was not, and I needed to come in for this new recall. So we made an appointment and took it up there, waited around for somebody to check us in, and left. We got about 5 minutes down the road when the service desk person called me to tell me they had already done this recall when I brought it in the previous time! Most recently, I took it in for yet another recall, and asked if they would look at the transmission, which has developed a shifting delay and noise on shifting. They called me to tell me that I needed new driveshaft washers. I asked him what washers he was talking about, and he didn't know (again, no technical knowledge). He said it was not covered by warranty, so I declined. He then told me that my almost-new battery was failing and needed replacement, and that my wiper blades needed replacement. I told him I would come pick the vehicle up. When I got there an hour later, they couldn't find my vehicle for about 10 minutes. I called the Service Director and told him that the Tech Service Bulletin that they had pointed to for my transmission problem was not describing the problem I was having. I had found another bulletin that did describe it, so he told me to come back in and they would give us a loaner and figure out what the problem was. So even though my wife said "you'd better follow me in your car", I said "no, they told us we would get a loaner". Sure enough, I get there and they say "well, you need to wait until we diagnose the problem, and if the problem is covered by warranty, then you can get a loaner." "How long will that be?", I asked. "About an hour.", came the answer. I left in a huff because we had to be somewhere in about half an hour. This place is run by people who have no concept of what customer service is.

I've never had to wait this long for simple servcies. My first experience was an oil change that took almost 4 hours and the service rep never told the shuttle driver to come get me after I phoned in requesting a pickup. My second experience was a check engine light. I dropped my car off at noon and was told they should get to it by the evening. 5:30pm rolls around and no phone call or anything. I'm left carless. I call back the next morning. They still hadn't looked at my car. Over 24 hrs pass and still nobody had even looked at my car even though I had an appointment. No warning or anything that I'd be carless.

A few months ago, my car was running weird when the air conditioner was on so I decided to take it here to see if my problem was covered under my 5 year/60,000 mile warranty. Upon entering the service department I was greeted by a woman named Trish or Trisha (my apologies, I cannot remember which one!) Anyway, she was amazing! They fixed the original problem (air conditioning control module) and found my ignition switch was going out so they fixed that as well! She was in constant contact with me on the status of my car and when I picked it up they even washed it for me! Thankfully, both problems were covered under my warranty and cost me nothing to have repaired. They have my future business and I will not hesitate to refer them to friends and family! Thank you Trish(a), you made a stressful situation so much more pleasant and bearable!

I was recently in a car accident (not at fault) & had to find a car ASAP. I went in to Vandergriff Hyundai unsure of what car I really wanted to get, but Fernando Baltazar helped me find the perfect car that met my needs/wants. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions and he followed up with me on a daily basis while I dealt with car insurance claims & the lengthy bank process to get a loan. He definitely made my car shopping experience much easier & comfortable, & I am very grateful for that. Great salesman! :)

The service was so thoughtful and they took ample amount of precautions for their customers safety so I felt at ease. After the oil change and tire rotation, my car was driving really smooth as well. I would recommend them to others.

I drove 5 hours from Houston Texas to look at a 2014 Toyota Corolla. After being told the car was very clean and nice, upon arrival I noticed that there were over a dozen places where touch up paint had been applied all over the car. There were dents that were repaired very sloppily. None of this was in the description of the car nor was described to me on my multiple conversations on the telephone prior to arrival. I would guess that they were very careful in the 40 pictures that they displayed to not include any scratches dents or dings which were pervasive throughout the car from front to back. Avoid this dealership, they are dishonest

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR'S SERVICE DONE HERE! I have bought two cars from this dealership and that service was pretty decent but I've been going to this dealership to get maintenance done on my car since then, and it has been HORRIBLE SERVICE EVERY TIME. This last visit is officially the breaking moment for me. I decided to go to the dealership because my car kept saying my tire pressure was low. Sure enough I had a nail. So originally I was told after my tire was checked out by TWO different employees, that it was an "easy" fix and that my tire would only need a patch. It would be a total of $20 and would take 30 minutes to an hour. In the end, I waited over two hours to be told they can't patch my tire and that I would have to a buy a new one. So what was being done to my car this whole time while I was waiting? NOTHING! And then to think that they were going to sell me a new tire as if it were okay and nothing happened? I was LIVID. I was told by several employees that they couldn't save my tire because of the angle of the nail. Multiple of them insisted on showing me my tire again, even though I was already shown where the nail was at the beginning of this HORRIFIC experience. I completely understood that my tire couldn't be saved but my point was why did it take over 2 hours to tell me that? NO SENSE AT ALL. This isn't my first HORRIFIC experience either. A few months ago, my car battery died and they tried to tell me that my warranty on the battery of my car was over when it still had warranty. Didn't make sense but after fighting them on that my car was taken to the dealership. Then ALLEN took forever with my car and caused me to not have my car for A WHOLE 5 DAYS! I had to call to find out from other employees there on an update and on getting my car. It was beyond ridiculous and after this experience as well, I will NOT be coming back, other than to get my free oil change that I got due to the inconvenience, and THAT'S IT. I rather not go back EVER but after wasting my time I might as well get something back. RIDICULOUS. And another thing, Raymond, who was the main guy taking a "look" at the nail in the tire, was a joke. As I followed him to see his Supervisor, Carlos, he said things to his coworkers like "Nice working with you" and "Well I'm fired". UNPROFESSIONAL. As well as the unprofessional woman who answered the phone when I called to get an updated on my car. She said she couldn't locate Raymond and if I would like to leave a message but the moment I was rude, she said she could walk over to find him and sure enough she did! I literally had to be RUDE just to get an update on my car! Like what do you mean let me walk over there and find him? You should've done that in the first place! Then to be told I would get a call back in 5 minutes just to never get one was the cherry on top. I had to show up 15 minutes after that instead to find Raymond myself. EVERYONE AT THIS LOCATION IS JUST A JOKE.
