Trend Financial Review

Stay very far away from this company, bad customer service is just the tipping point with this company, this company is border line criminal if not full on. I live in Ottawa, after a week of communication with a "employee" I wont mention names due to possible criminal/legal action, I was told 2500 down. Take the train to Toronto, arrive to the office at 8:30 am, sat there like a fool til 12:30pm only to have "employee" come out and tell me I need 4500 down, fearing something like this I had a back up plan with another dealer, so I told him Im outta here if that is the case because my budget was 2500 down. So "employee" says "hold on, Ill be right back". Another 2 hours passes by, he comes out and says ok lets go, got it done lets hurry up and sign the papers so we can plate the truck same day, so I go sign the paper work, get rushed through in about 10 minutes, and was told my payment would be 523 a month. This is Dec 23, I then had to drive 12 hours to northern Ontario for the holidays, so I just wanted to get out of there.

Arrive back to Ottawa, the paperwork was sent to me in a "welcome package" First thing when you open it, it says your monthly payment is 523. So did not think anything of it, or continue to look through it. Fast forward to day of payment, 800 dollars comes out, I call and they say...."well yes the other payment is for your PROMISSORY NOTE" I said pardon me? This company took it upon themselves to create a note for a extra 2000 dollars, that I did not sign, that I did not see. And it doesnt stop there, while im signing paperwork I was told, NO EARLY BUYOUT FEE's. I asked for my buyout, ITS MORE THAN I BORROWED.

This company has blocked my email address, so they can claim plausible deniability, THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH ACTUALLY CLAIMS TO HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CHANGING MY PAYMENT DATE, WHEN SHE HERSELF ASKED ME WHAT DAY I WANTED IT CHANGED TO.

I asked for the recording of signing the documents, and surprise surprise....they flat out will not give it to me. Its all Documented, from the first contact, good thing I save my emails.

If anyone has had the same issues, contact me, I already see online that im not the only one, these people need to be held accountable. Two words...CLASS ACTION.

These people have a answer for everything, and it generally involves them trying to save face by turning it back on you, when in fact its a total lie. Its like the saying goes, if everyone you deal with has a problem with you, and you try and say its "not you but them" Its usually you.

And judging by any positive reviews, they look like employees writing them, wonder why customer service is crap, when you need to be constantly searching out bad reviews online and doctor them.

This company doesn't deserve a star for how they treat their customers. Very rude and condescending, and they like to talk over top of you rather than listen. They continue to take payments from your account even when the loan has been paid out in full, so buyer beware and proceed with caution before engaging with this company as you may also end up paying more for your loan compared to what was agreed to in your legal binding contract. Good luck trying to regain the funds that they over took. I'm confident that this company's goal is to treat their clients like garbage even though our payments pay their wages and help to keep their doors open for business. I guess that is the new trend these days!!

Oh boy,reading some of these comments makes me so happy I've never financed a car in my life.I simply put the same amount I'd be charged bi weekly aside & buy my vehicles cash.I don't have anything against financing if that's what the heart desires,I just hate the fact of knowing that I OWE someone & if I maybe fall on rough times that person that I owe can come take that object from me.
Lots of ppl say the best way to get on your feet is with a car loan...I say the best way to get on your feet is to miss a car loan Payment.

Do NOT finance anything from these people. There are unbelievably ridiculous to deal with! My mother in law has had nothing but problems with them! Save yourself the headache!!!!

My experience with Trend Financial has been a NIGHTMARE!
They repossessed my car last night on the bases that I didnt provide insurance info. Insurance company sent to Trend on 2nd of June and I also sent pictures of papers with time stamp though employees with Trend accuse me of lying?!!!

I highly recommend everyone to DO NOT do ANY business with these people EVER!!!!!! They only answer the phone if they are collecting money. They put you on hold forever. They don t report to the credit bureau on time. I could have bought a car cash but the dealership Scaroboro Auto convinced me that they can get me a car for a little more than my budget and they'll get me a great deal from Trend Financial . He advised me that Trend will finance the vehicle what I learnt after the fact was that Trend treated the case like a lease, so they were added to the vehicle ownership However, they told me that Trend would help me build my credit. That was a lie! BIG MISTAKE! The interest they charge was no better than another third part. they are fraudulent criminals. Everybody has challenges in life but whatever you face DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH TREND FINANCIAL.

This is the worst place to get or buy a car from. They charge me $532 a month but report only $464 to credit bureau. Also, I traded in my car and paid them off but they still charged me monthly payments.

I have purchased 2 cars with Trend Financial and both cars have been great. No problem with the cars and I never missed a payment. I also recommend Trend Financial to my parents who has well have purchased 2 cars. The only complaint I have is that they never answer the phone

Trend Financial is a business that doesn't work with customers. When I got my vehicle from them it was late and in for repairs because it wouldn't turn over. I waited at their offices all day and had to make TWO trips from Kingston to Toronto for it. Once that headache was over I then had to deal with the headache of their customer service which is horrible. When I went to trade in the vehicle they gave the new dealership THREE different buyout amounts and didn't listen to the dealership or myself. This resulted in messed up numbers and Trend saying "oh well". There are other companies then Trend, read the BBB reviews on them and make an informed decision.

So I got a call from Trend today and I have to say that call went much better. The rep was open, honest, and together we worked through what the issues were and what happened. They owned that they made some mistakes and are working towards fixing them. My specific issues have been resolved to a level that I am comfortable. I still stand by people doing their research and making informed decisions about what companies they interact with but Trend at least gave me a call and has made an effort and that counts for something. I hope that they do this with all their clients and not just me.

I wouldn't recommend these people to not even my worst enemy. They're crooks, just asking for them to send you a buy out amount is a big problem for them. The interest rate is highway robbery. Honestly people save yourself the headache and money and never ever go with this company.

Where do I even begin? This company is absolutely TERRIBLE!! From the beginning to the end. One bad experience after another. Where do they find their employees? The customer service is atrocious, I don t think I have ever experienced such poor service and the wait time to even speak with someone is unacceptable and when you do FINALLY speak with someone they are rude, no help, give the wrong information or just don t care enough to look into your inquiry. For example, we sent a cheque for our buyout on a Wednesday and we expedited it with tracking, the cheque had been received the Friday, the following Tuesday, hadnt heard anything so we emailed to ensure that they had received it (even though we already knew they had) and the response back was "no they had not received it yet". Lies. By mid-Tuesday the cheque still hadn t been deposited, called and they were working on getting it deposited (should not take more than 2 days to get a cheque cashed), then we were told that the ownership would be mailed out the following day. Lies. Receive a call from Trend saying they won t be mailing it out until Friday. Friday comes, I call again to ensure all is good and that the transfer of ownership would be done and mailed out and they tell me "we will get to it if we have time, it may not be today". NO, that is not an acceptable response, you have your money, the car is no longer yours. Called again, spoke to a manager and thankfully they assured me that the transfer will be done in the morning. Maybe have a chat with your employees and have them not provide rude attitude and false information. I also explained that money was owing to me because after receiving the buyout amount and sending a cheque, another payment had come out of my account before the cheque had been received on their end, making the buyout amount less by the amount of my payment, although I was told previously that I would get that payment back and it would automatically go back into my account once the cheque is cashed and the system sees the over payment but then was told I would not be getting that back because they miscalculated and that payment made everything even out. ??? Miscalculated? Yeah, okay! Needless to say, getting anything done through this company is near impossible. If you see TREND Financial on anything that you are purchasing and financing, RUN!! Avoid the headaches, the stress and the disrespect.

The only thing that is bad about trend is that they ask you to leave a voicemail but they never respond, nor do they respond to emails. Their communication skills needs a lot of improvement but the receptionist is really nice.

They are the most foolish entity I've ever encountered and they lie from head to toe and cheat on people....They will steal your money no matter what....I beg you people stay away from these trend people who appears like the whole world is owing them and they want to take and take from everyone whether big or small....Thieves...

Horrible horrible company. .. do not do business with these guys.... if I could give zero stars I would... they charge stupid fees for every little thing. ..100 to change a payment date. They say you owe money when you don't..... when they say ok, the next day another rep will call you and you'll have the same conversation all over again.... this happens all the time... rude service... high almost criminal interest rates.... bad cars.... trust me.. you don't want to do business with these guys. .. there are tons of so many better options out there. .. these guys should be at the bottom of your list if you need car.. stay away .. someone who used to work there said they have employees who currently work there post 4 or 5 star reviews for them just to get higher average reviews

My husband and I received financing through Trend. We were lucky that we were able to even get financing so Trend was a blessing to us as we both needed transportation to get to our jobs. They were great in the beginning and I have no issues with the start of it all but now.....well I waited on hold because" all our representatives our busy with clients" for over an hour, gave up called again and left voice mail (actually left 2 voicemails). All I want to know is our we done with our payments now as according to paperwork we are, but no one has returned my calls. Really depressing.

This company is the most unethical and fraudulent firm I have ever dealth with in my entire 30 years of age.
They are so racist and arrogant. I decided to go into the office after being unable to speak to anyone for over 3 consecutive days. While over there I met this manager called Rachel who was so arrogant and RACIST as she sized me up from head to toes with her eyes. upon finding out she was a manager there i was very disappointed. if a manager can be this shallow i could only question myself about the attitude of non-management employees of Trend.
to cut the long story short I was unable to get my money back.

Up until this day my truck still not fix by these people. They refuse to work with me but make sure they take their money every month. They knowingly sold me a piece of junk and even though I have contacted them before the seven days and even before the month was up they refuse to exchange or fix my vehicle. I had a few people who was interested at first to get a vehicle from them but so happy because of my experience they will not have anything to do with them. Please do not buy from trend financial. They are crooked and sell you damage cars they say they fix but was never fix. They are much better companies out there that are better and help people with bad credit. Can't wait to be out of this situation with them. Thank God my sister went somewhere better for her vehicle and others. After speaking to some workers there to get some help I spoke to supervisor who was horrible. In response to trend financial. Please stop lying. You wanted me to use my warranty which is also through your company. You also said to take it to my mechanic and you will let few payments go and then change your mind on that and said one payment. I took the vehicle to my mechanic. Many things wrong with the vehicle. Warranty said it is not covered. So it is costing me over a thousand dollars to fix while you continue to take money every month. The worst decision I made financing from trend.

I paid off my loan from them a few years ago. I just pulled my credit report and it shows that trend didn't close or report it. I will be taking action as that explains why my credit is so low.

Don't do business with them. When I did have the loan and when I had to deal with them it was nothing but a headache, they charged me more than my loan was when I paid it off.

Systemic Racism,Do not let Trend financial your car, they financial lemon, car which are no good also uncertified car. I have paid them so much high service fees. They prey on poor people. 2008 Jeep I end up paying over 10 thousand dollars. this Jeep is not worth more than a 1000 dollars. They ruin your credit too. there is Systemic Racism at this place, they charge more interest to Black People\Minorities. shame they are now owned by Axis they are no good

1. Attempted 3 times to update address, old address is still on file.

2. Continued to take payments out of my bank account after a lease was paid in full. Had to pay my bank to engage a stop payment.

3. Saved my deposit from the beginning of term so that they could charge interest on a higher balance all the way through.

This company stole $2052 from me, I got into a accident , and my insurance company gave me a payout and they kept my half I the money claiming hey had released he funds to me but when I contacted my bank, they said otherwise , STAY AWAY

ZERO ZERO ZERO MINUS ZERO Stars. Don't go there. I purchased a car from them and the transmission light turned on before I even got home after I picked up the car. The gave me the run around and told me that my warranty wasn't enough to cover the cost of replacing the transmission. I called the warranty company and was told I didn't have warranty with them..mind you..I paid the $ and Trend never paid them...Finally called OMVIC and all of a sudden got a call from Trend and had the car fixed. The car came back with 1000 km's more and damaged seats...The mechanics excuse was he had to drive it out of town to make sure it was running ok . Right now as we speak they are still taking money out of my bank account yet my payments were supposed to be done long time ago. am getting a lawyer , AND YES I have my lease agreement...very contradicting to what is going on right now.

If I could give no stars, I would. This finance company is ridiculous and a careless. STAY FAR AWAY. Very unprofessional staff, incorrect and fraudulent reporting to credit bureau, reporting missed payment that NEVER happened, wrong amounts, reported multiple accounts to the credit bureau that will affect your score. SMH, I usually don t write reviews, so if I took the time to do this, believe me, and stay away.

Their response is a joke, my husbands credit score actually decreased as a result of them not reporting. Credit utilization percentage was not going down, and for months the balance was not decreasing. This makes it look like the loan is not being paid.
My husband has had to hound them constantly to get them to send in reports. While it does not specifically state in the original agreement they will report every month, they have verbally and in written communication, stated on several occasions they report monthly. This constitutes a contract which they have breached, my husband is in the process of suing Trend Financial.

I have been a client of Trend for nearly 2 years (of a 3 year term) on a vehicle purchased through their showroom.
First, the interest rates are based on a variety of factors, but largely on your credit history and Equifax scores. The higher the potential risk to Trend, the higher the interest rates you pay will be (straightforward).
Any accessorial or additional administrative fees are clearly spelled out in their agreement and paperwork (so long as you read before you sign, there really are no surprises)
The vehicles are all safety certified and emission tested prior to delivery (are they perfect ? No, these are, after all, used vehicles, but they are all in good shape)
The staff will happily address questions or concerns both during and after your purchase and explain any items you need clarification on.
Bottom line is, if you are realistic with your expectations and reasonable with your needs, these folks are quite easy to do business with.

They helped my credit get back on track by reporting my payments with the credit bureau. Now my credit is on track and I was able to get into a brand new 2018 vehicle! Reason for the 4 stars is that it takes too long to get a hold of a representative.

Gave the vehicle back and they are still trying to take payments. Their fees are out od the park and they use your down payment as last payment so they can charge you more interest. Avoid using ir use with extreme caution

6 months after I gave the truck back I got a summon to small claims court for $10,000 on a truck that was only $5000, they did repairs that were not needed (rad tires rockers ujoints 3 knock sensors ceramic brakes....seriously premium brakes on a 13 year old truck. I only had the truck 4 months, they detailed it 3 times, transmission line, paint, ball joint, tie rods, rotors the list goes on. So either they sold me a lemon or they are scamming the return. They also told me they sold it for $6000 more then I paid for it and if you add in my payments and my deposit I over paid now they want $10000 more.

STAY AWAY FROM TREND.

Ridiculous policies. Rip off. They will let your account go into arrears for 2 years without contacting you to inform you of additional charges to your account. They won't send monthly statements unless you repeatedly request them. Next time I will get a car loan from a real bank. It would have cost me less if I paid for my sh*tbox on my credit card.

Worst employer I have ever worked for in my entire life!! The management is deplorable and the owners are even worse. They work there employees like dogs and treat them like garbage. No direction and managed by a C.O.O adult child who has no business running a company this size or giving any direction as they are incapable of doing so. My fellow employees were amazing people who deserve so much more, if you currently work here RUN you can do soo much better! I worked overtime hours for the entire 9 months I was here and never received so much as a thank you let alone a raise or overtime pay. They will promise you the world and deliver on nothing. There are no safety standards adhered to and I highly advise you to avoid this business at all costs!! I quit and I've never been happier!!

Terrible customer service they do not report your loan to the credit bureau on time and they note your car loan as a public record which doesn't always look the best on your credit stay away

This is the worst financial institution I have ever EVER had to deal with. They are money grabbers who offer absolutely no help. They sent a bailiff to my friends residence for failure to have insurance even though she did!! Once she provided it, she then got a $500 bailiff fee even though they had no real reason to send them. Please do yourself a favour and go to another lending institution. If Google would let me I would give them a 0! They also sold me a lemon. Everything has a fee attached it. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

This company is nothing but a disaster. Do not walk away - run! It will cost you mobey, nerves health! Nothing but disaster. After i paid off my vehicle they continued to debit my account illegally and nobody ever returned my call.

I have been trying to get in touch with this company for the past week to help my brother. I have left many messages stating to phone after 3 because he works, they phoned early during the day while he is at work. I have also sent a couple emails, and no return comments or response. They stated in July that he would be paid out in December, they are still taking payments. You phone them, they state they are open till 7pm but on web site it states 5pm. (false advertisement) Return call in 4 hours, never, again false. You have dealt with the wrong sister on this information, this situation will be brought forth.

Horrible company to finance with, I hope the public does their due diligence & research before financing a vehicle with these crooks, they target inexperienced young drivers and many immigrants. Coming from experience & currently taking legal action against this company I can say that you're better off saving your money instead of trying to build your credit with these people it's all a scam.. So many hidden fees, everything is in house so they can make up any price they want, an employee by the name of Sarah works in the legal department is a pathological liar and will do everything in her power to rip you off. Awareness is key!

I WISH I could give 0 stars this is the worst financing company in the world. They are crooks I initially bought my bmw from the worst dealership for 9 grand. I've had this car for over a year I put a down payment of 4grand tell me how after a year of financing I owe 10 grand !!! It is absolutely ridiculous. This car has cost me thousands and when you pay on time theu dont even report it to the credit brurue then it was biggest mistake of my life. I have no way out other then to deal with it. I cannot wait till I'm done with these crooks I'm telling everyone including news stations and I'm going to have my lawyer look into them because what they're doing to people should be illegal !! Today I went in upset and confused about my account. I was greeted by Roxanne and we discussed my account in details. I was overall satisfied and happy that I met with Roxanne. She gave me a more clear understanding with supporting documents of my account. I left happy. I have been with trend for about 2.5 years and my account is in good standings with them. I would definitely recommend anyone with bad credit to Trend. I give 5 star ratings!!!

They do not explain everything in detail. read and read before your sign. there will be extra charges that they dont tell you about when you are sign ing the papers. i found out on my last payment that i still have to pay 1000 to end the lease. You pay tax on the vehicle than they charge tax again on top of the fees. plus at the end of your lease you have to pay tax on your deposit too which should have been taxed already.

Digusting customer service skills i have ever delt with in my life. They are very rude after you get into your car got my car and all now i still cant get a key for my vehicle but theyve already takin my money now to get a proper key which i paied for is a problem. Today I got my 3rd vehicle loan from Trend within the past 3 years.... I absolutely love them!!! I don't have great credit and they have worked with me and my husband to make us feel happy, confident and comfortable with their services... their staff is so polite and respectful... they work with you to get you the best deals possible! I will only recommend TREND FINANCIAL as the GREATEST finance company in the world... I am defiantly going to do business again with them.. Just got financed with them for a car I got at Manhattan Motorcars. They told me the rate was 6% and then I found over 3k in fees. My car was 16k and I will repay almost 50k after 5 years. How is that 6%. Scammers!!! Don't use them.

I just got a car through trend financial and my experience has been amazing they helped me with all my needs... the staff has nothing but amazing to me helped me through getting the car And also helped me with a financial plan so everything is exactly the way I asked for it I would recommend this company to anyone the customer service is amazing !

every single time i call i wait more then 15 minutes or more whether its as soon as they open or mid day, some of the staff dont have customer skills and treat some customers as if we are a regular person on the street

This company has been very accommodating to me on two occasions. Last year when I was sick they deferred a few of my payments which helped me quite a lot. This year after being hit with a huge car repair expense they have graciously made suitable arrangements with me once again. I highly recommend this company. I would like to thank them for showing me this flexibility. Everyone I have spoken with has been very pleasant to deal with, which in my mind shows employee satisfaction and this on its own is another reason to recommend this company.

This is an update to my previous posting!! After posting this review I was called by the CSR Manager and because of my review, he was made aware of a problem with their phone systems. After the first phone call and the rectification of the issues i was having all was sorted out. He was glad that I had made the company aware of the issues they were having with their systems. All was made better with the help of Tyler and his patience even though i was at the end of mine!!

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. They say they have a call centre open until 9 pm and every time i try to call, no matter what time of day, there is more than 45 minutes to over an hour and a half wait time on the phones and I don't know who the hell has that kind of time to deal with stuff that has to be done. I have tried for the last three days to get through and NO one EVER answers the phone, the wait times are atrocious, I get excuses by the reps telling me there are only 2 people answering phones in the office at anytime after 4. There is a voice mail that says leave a message and someone will call you back...that NEVER happens either. I have faxed information in....nothing gets done. I have had nothing but issues trying to get my business sorted out and I am tired of trying...I am working on getting another vehicle with another company because I am tired of the crappy service and lack of help.

Trend has great and we'll mannered staff. They (Roxeanne) helped me out with my SUV very quickly.

Worst place ever!!!!!!!!! Not only do the give the highest rate but they also charge $500 for every year u have a loan with them plus they don't report your payments to the credit bureau...called twice stayed on hold forever and still nothing....to yop it off I'm just the co-sighner

They are liars and thieves; They give a percentage and a payback period and after u choose them they change at signing day...They charge you a fee plus tax but they only report the fee without tax to the credit bureau. They charge 3 times what your financial institute charges for a missed payment as penalty. They really need to be out of business plus their customer service sucks!!!

Very unprofessional. Slow respond times.I ask them for the balance owing they told me to wait 3 business days to perform a manaul calculation.
A week later the balance was paid in full then they followed to debit my account. They told me that the funds will be put back in 1 week. The front line people can't perform thier basic office duties.

always calls and emails saying I'm behind on payments when I'm not. Communication is NOT their strong suit.

My vehicle is paid off, had it confirmed TWICE and was told i even had money coming back to me for over payment. 2 days later they took MORE money from me and killed my plans for the weekend!
If a negative rating lower than 1 star could be given, this company would get it.

Aug 2015 i put down 2500$ on a volkswagen rabbit "2008" with kilometers of 220,000 smh worst choice of my life the car was tagged at the deal 5000$ after signing i would have to make payments of 111$ every two weeks, so i got my car stolen in march 2016 my insurance company sent trend a cheque of 5400$ they take all of it n say im have am outstanding balance of 200 still to pay???????

Mind you it hasnt been a full year since i even had the car i put 2995$ downpayment and pay 222$ since september 2015 every month till april 2016 and i calculated that around 1300 -1555

They arent suppose to get the whole cheq, no on called me when they recieved it and they said i couldn't talk to any one to find out the payout for the car , until admin calls and says what i have to pay off, if i owe, or get anything back ????????

At then at the end of my lease if i were to pay it off it would almost equal to 10,000$ interest included 23%
But im not close to the end of that pay out rate so it should be less

I go online kijiji n autotrader the same car is goin for no more the 4000$ and way less kilometers under 200,000

I bought more than 3 cars over the past 7 years through them and frankly the first time I wasn't very pleased with their services and the agent that I dealt with increased the interest rate up to %13 but the next deals were good and the interest rate was as low as %5 and customer services were excellent and all my phone calls were answered promptly and all my demands were met immediately. I believe that they have improved and upgraded their customer services in the last 3 years. I would like to mention that the repo business manager Edward was very helpful and friendly during my last experience with Trend. He explained every thing in details and explained to me all my options without any pushing or demands to finalize the deal. I sincerely recommend them for any one seeking good financial terms.

Trend financial really helped me out with the purchase of my new 2007 bmw 335i. It was quick and easy, and on top of everything the agent whom I spoke with "Marcia Thompson" answered all my questions with ease.

The worst customer service ever! My lease was done in August and I'm still waiting for my ownership to be mailed to me. They have all my paperwork. I've called and emailed countless times with no response. Stay away from this company !!

Bought a 2008 dodge caravan about two weeks ago now, I've been in here 2 twice last two weeks and both times their has been something wrong then when I call it is oh we shouldn't fix it.it isn't covered but we will then I get.it back and it.is back to.the same way I had it! I was also.told.in first week or so if anything went wrong they would give me another vehicle.I've yet been offered that not to happy I can't be coming every week this isn't fair

DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT even think about doing business with the crooks. I took a 3 year finance on a $10,000 car, only to realise at the end I paid $13,000 + interest because of the way they word their contracts. I'm not sure if what they do is illegal but it definitely should be. Again, DO NOT borrow $1 from these scammers, you will regret it

We email Trend about not picking up the vehicle form the first day we went to pick up the vehicle . But to our surprise they ignore us and went into our account for payments . how is this possible when we haven't pick up the vehicle . Be very care full !

Trend Financial has exceptional customer service they are always there to help you. Just got off the phone with Muna at ext. 199 she was fantastic in helping me solve my problem and issue. She refunded all the fee's associated with the issue and waived any additional charges that would occur. Highly recommend this company when you can not get a traditional loan thru the bank Top Notch company

Unlike other reviewers I've had a pretty uneventful experience with Trend. I've been timely with my payments and have never had much reason to contact them (which is the only headache I've had) that is until the end of my term when it was time to pay the HST so I could have my title transferred to me. To my chagrin my pre authorized payment was never adjusted to reflect just the HST so as a result both the HST and the usual car payment went thru..this the week before Christmas. This additional payment really threw a wrench into the gears. I spent days trying to resolve the issue..the only helpful person was Rox Anne..she did everything possible to correct the mix up and issue a full refund and she doesnt even work in that department. For that I am grateful. So thank you Rox Anne for all your help and understanding in my frustration.

Complete Scam Artists

I purchased a Ford Diesel F350 pickup truck from Trend Financial and it was a complete disaster. I had 50% down payment for the vehcile, and it still meant nothing. The sales person was so incompetant that the lease had to be signed a total of 5 different times because of the constant errors. This process took over an hour.

The company took over 3 weeks to prepare the vehcile for delivery and it was in horrible condition and plagued with problems. These included:

Missing parts of the vehcile (hand grips in the cab, buttons in the cab, etc.)
Leaking diesel fuel
non-stop beeping in cab
Airbags malfunctioning
back-up sensors malfunction
steering wheel missing buttons
cruise control not working
marker lights malfunctioning

The company stated they would get the vehicle repaired and expected me to drive 240km to get the service completed. I did so once, and was advised it would take another 2 trips to get the repairs completed.

The company insisted I drive a vehicle with malfunctioning airbags, and marker lights not working 240km at my own expense to get any repairs done. The company repeatedly said in their opinion, a truck with malfunctioning airbags and marker lights out was not unsafe to drive. The MTO's regulations did not seem to apply to them.

They offered an incredible slap-in-the-face $200.00 "pay off" to get the incredible long list of repairs done on the truck. The local Ford dealer wanted $180.00 just to look at the vehicle as it is in such rough condition.

Vehciles sold by this company should be in safe operating condition before they are sold, and there are garages closer than a 240km trip to thier "authorised" garage.

Do not lease from Trend Financial, they will take your money and sell you a piece of garbage, gamble with your life, and make you spend hundreds of dollars in fuel costs to get anything done.

Don t ever do business with these people. I really mean it, run! They only answer the phone if they are collecting money and they don t report to the credit bureau. I could have bought my car cash but the dealership tricked me. He told me taking a lease to own from Trend would help me build my credit. That was a lie! The interest they charge are out of this world, they are almost criminal. Good people get bad credit sometimes, but there is no help for us. People just prey on the unfortunate. Again I am going stress on this, dont ever do business with them.

We purchased a vehicle in May 2015 and the transmission blew within days of getting it,the company that we bought from fixed the tranny however it blew again two weeks later.So the company put a new tranny in for us at a charge of 1000.00.We had little issues after that until March of 2016 then the motor blew.We called the car place we bought from and he found a motor for 800 however it was going to cost 7000 to install it as it was a caddy so we went to trend to see if they would help pay for it.They told us no to scrap the vehicle so we were going to pay out
If our pocket however the garage that was doing the work found so much moreWrong with the vehicle that the price went to 12000 so we chose to scrap it as the car wasn t worth the price.We took the insurance off yet continued to make all of our
Payments to trend in time and still making payments to this day yet had no vehicle.Trend phones us tonight and then texted saying they have escalated our file due to no insurance in the vehicle.Which the vehicle is now a ball of scrap metal since it s been a year since we scraped it.When we called back which was two minutes after they called the machine says they are closed

The car that I purchased from Trend has been the worst car I have ever driven. From day one I had problems with the vehicle. It was making a clanging noise and someone from customer service told me to take it back to the mechanic who serviced the car, which I did, and he said that it was my brakes making the noise and that it would stop eventually. I also had 7 days or 500 km to trade in my car if I wanted to. Living in Kitchener and having to drive back to Toronto to see the mechanic who safetied my car completely voided that part of my lease. The man I bought the car from wouldnt even let me test drive the vehicle. The next problem I had was with the steering column, which I had my mechanic fix. He asked me how this car was ever allowed to leave the lot and that I shouldn't be driving the car. When I called Trend to express my concerns about the vehicle and the fact that I couldn't pay for the repair she basically said "oh well, you can send in the bill and we will pay for the repairs." I was not impressed with that answer. I called a couple of weeks later to see how I would go about getting you guys to pay for repairs and the women I spoke to said that she had never heard of this and she would get customer service to call me about this issue. No one called. The next issue I had with my car was with the battery. Ford sent me a notice in the mail saying that something with the battery could be corroded and needed to be changed. I took it into my local Ford dealership and the mechanics there fixed the problem for me. While I was there he also mentioned that there was something wrong with the transmission. He rebooted the system for me but told me I should be careful driving my car just in case it gives out. A couple of months later my battery died and I haven't driven it since. Yesterday I called in because of an insurance issue and who ever I talked to was extremely rude and sarcastic to me. I am not impressed. Moral of my complaint is that I will never lease a car from Trend Financial again.

Do not get financed from them. They are a scam. Charging random fees just for changing your payment date. They came to lock my car and did not make sure if I had insurance. I still had insurance and now they want to charge me 280 dollars just to take the lock off my car. I showed them that I had insurance and they still arent coming to unlock it. Worst company to finance with. They dont help their customers. They called me one time and emailed me like I check my email. They also spoke to my insurance broker and she said they harrased her with calls when she already spoke and made arrangements with them. DO NOT FINANCE WITH TREND! Very awful customer service. I regret signing on with them. I called them about 20 times and no one got back to me. I was transferred many times and still werent helped.

Years ago, when my credit score was lower, I needed a car. Trend financed it, but abused an already vulnerable situation by charging 17%.
Fours years later, nearing my contract, and a vehicle not worth it, I have an opportunity to trade and get a reliable vehicle. I called in first, and the most unhelpful, uninterested rep answers. I immediately asked to speak with someone else. I got Rox Anne. I asked for help by lowering a deferred payment of $481 in a pending buyout. Without any consideration of almost 3x times other lenders interest rate. She waited to email me that she could NOT do anything. I believe that Trend and it s partners are predatory and take advantage of those who are trying to re-establish themselves. Trend penalizes a person for trying. I ve never seen a company with so many negative reviews. It s alarming!

I honestly wish i did my research on these scam artists they call a company they have a bunch of out of control teens working which would explain the lack of professionalism this was my 1st time buying a car and they totally took advantage of that ....i purchased a car for a certain amount agreed between the original seller and trends financial explained it would be more because of there interest rates,fees, ect . i still agreed keep in mind i gave them a down payment.....please tell me why 2 yrs later after requesting buyout info several times mind you the buy out is MORE than the starting price ....I've yet to receive a suitable explanation because in no parts of making a deal with these money hungry thieves did i ever agree to BEING ROBBED please stay away from these people shop around anybody but them would be the best option

said that my payments would be reported to the credit bureau, but nothing was ever reported, even after over a year of never missing a payment.
traded in, for a better deal with a REAL dealership and the dealership had 5 different buyout amounts... very criminal like.
