We called Total Air out to do an maintaince and check up on our unit. Gary & Virginia were terrific. They took their time to make sure everything was working great. They answered all our questions and explained the features of our unit that we never knew about. Our air conditioning is working the best it has since we bought the house 2 years ago.

We were so impressed with this crew. Timely, consistent in their efforts, informative along the way. Could not have asked for better. Value arrives when price, which was good, meets up with service and quality. We received a great value from the Total Air Solutions Team. Highly recommended.

Terrible company. Found them in "homemag" magazine. They had a coupon for a free UV light. Coupon said for "NEW, first time customers WITH a repair". I called them for a repair & inquired about using the coupon too & they told me it's for getting a BRAND new ac system. No where on that coupon does it say a single thing about getting a new ac system. Would never recommend them due to false advertisements!!!!!!!! Smh

I would like to say how happy I am with Total air solutions. The whole process was very easy, and I was definitely given the best deal. Other companies quoted the same systems at much higher prices, which made me confused until I spoke with Al about it. Not all AC companies are the same, and I will be recommending Total Air Solutions to anyone who asks me about AC companies. My new Carrier system is working great.

I can't explain how happy I am that our builder (T...

I can't explain how happy I am that our builder (Tennbush) chose Total Air as his A/C installers. We have had a few break downs over the years but they have always been there on time usually early, professional, polite and no BS. Knowing absolutely nothing about A/C's they could have easily thrown us under the bus but instead it has always been a small easy to fix problem, where the parts are on the truck. Just this week in May 2015 our outside compresser unit failed. Since the unit was over 10 years old I was prepared for the worst. Diagnosis: looks like you have a bad starting capacitor on the fan. Rob removed the part checked it out confirmed it was the culptrit 15 minutes later we have air again.

in May 2014 the unit stopped working due to a clogged drain line, I regularily pour some bleach down the line but had no idea there was an overflow cut out switch. So the unit would run then stop then run etc etc. Called total air the guys came out checked it out explaines I am doing it wrong do not use bleach but hot hot water and pour it through the opening for the overflow cut off. Then flush the line through the second opening to clean it out.

We have also switched over to reusable filter cages with throw away filter inserts. They are twice as thick as normal filters and collect way more dust than ordinary filters best part of all cost is 1/5th of a conventional air filter. We buy the standard inserts, but they also come in hypoallergenic and microbial for sensitive people.

In conclusion I would recommend this company over any other Honest, Reliable, Fair, On Time, Simply the Best.

I m a previous employee of this company and I would like to say, hands down, Frank DeCarlo was the best boss I ever had. He treats his employees well and really instills a policy of doing what is best for the customer. Any time I m asked if I know a good A/C company, I always... literally always recommend Total Air because I know they will be taken care of. I currently work as a service tech for an Industrial/commercial HVAC company doing chillers etc.. I m glad I got out of residential but boy what I would give to have a boss like him again! Hope all is well at TAS!

Could not be happier with a bunch of guys that installed my Carrier AC unit. Bobby & Jacob were AWESOME. Mike came on board in the afternoon was fantastic too. These guys know their product line and are ACES when installing these units. Left my house the way they found it...nice and clean. Work was professional done and these guys were very personable. We replaced our unit as it was about 15+ years old...

We replaced our unit as it was about 15+ years old and we wanted something more efficient. Quoted 2 people who are Carrier reps and Total Air Solutions was slightly less expensive for the same system . I wanted Carrier - as I had previously done a lot of research for the AC/Furnace "Up North". I wentt looking for who carried Carrier and selected Total Air based on reviews from several sources.

The 10 year parts and labor on everything if you use their $150 a year maintenance service - was an attractive feature and played into our decision on selecting them. We would have it maintained anyways - so why not have no major repair expense for the next 10 years. ( Carrier gives you the parts warranty)

We wrote the contract in July when we were here to close on the house and set the day for install based on our plans to return to work on home improvements. Reconfirmed the date 2 weeks prior that we were "go". Called the morning of install and they didn't have us in the plan - disappointing communication within their ranks. They ordered the equipment and did the install 2 days later. The install went well and the guys did a great job on clean-up. Only on Day 1, and everything seems ok. Waiting on inspector. 4 stars because of the communication screw-up - which impacted our working schedule which had been planned out around a lot of activity.

Additional note: Expected the inspector today as I was told it would be the day after. Called late today and was told that they thought it was Venice but its Sarasota county and they are 3 days out -so it was never going to be today. Would have been nice to know all this - as we have been looking for the inspector all day. The customer is the last to know apparently. You guys have to work on your communication - its been awful. You all think "the other guy" did the communication. You each need to own it - and you don't. This just shows a lack of respect for my time - it really has.

February 2019 Follow-up.

Been back here for a few weeks and everything good. Noticed an issue of an area that needed to be sealed correctly where there was an opening in the wall. The Install manager came out and sealed this up and took the time to go over the entire install both on the inside of the unit and the outside. Very responsive and full ownership. Even though we had some communication issues during the process - overall we are very pleased with their service, and ownership and follow up. Based on this responsiveness and ownership -increased my rating to 5 stars. I know things can happen - but its all in how you respond to the problems.

Ginny here to do the 6 month maintenance. Caught a capacitor out of spec. And got it changed along with the general maintenance. Pleasant, efficient, thorough. Thank you.

I just started a service contract with Total Air Solutions and couldn't be happier! The tech was extremely courteous as well as friendly, and took the time to explain things to me. I had asked several questions and he provided quick, confident answers. He also explained why some things would happen which is where a twice yearly maintenance visit works well. We have had high quality service from Total Air Solutions for several years. TAS today service was no different (predictably wonderful!). Kyle was our service man today. Kyle arrived on time, was very neat, polite, technically capable and efficient. We highly recommend them.

First company I called sent "Service Tech" who took pictures and immediately recommended I replace my unit because of dirty coils and its age, and sent a salesman out the NEXT day and tried to get me to sign for a whole new system for the NEXT day! I had NO air and it was 85-90 degrees in my house. I have asthma and COPD and needed something quick. Total Air came out that same day, actually diagnosed my problem, and fixed my unit for 1/5 the price. I had to wait 1 day for them to order the part, but Gary came out as soon as the part arrived at their office, and did the installation at my house at 5 p.m. at the quoted price! Just don't find service like this anymore. And my A/C is running great now! Won't use anyone else from now on.

No one contacted me for 2 days I called they sent another man who fixed the unit. I get a bill for 3 hours labor just wondering which part of the 3 hours I paid for the trashing of my unit. We had Total Air Solutions providing maintenance for our AC for the past 2 years. Every six months, a technician would come, a different tech each time, it seems, act busy for about half an hour, then take our money and leave after telling us that all was super. But it wasn't. For the past 12-18 months our system started to 'bleed' water. There was condensation on the walls of unit in which the 'coil' was located and water was dripping on our garage floor. But we were initially told not to worry because a little condensation was normal in the Summer.
Well... a few weeks ago it became clear that something was wrong as almost a bucketful of 'condensation' was accumulating each day. A technician came and diagnosed the root cause of the problem to be a cracked drain pipe. He agreed that this was not a 'recent' issue as he 'cleaned' large amounts of 'slime' that had developed at the bottom of the coil casing and the casing itself was quite rusted and corroded. However, 2 people were needed to access the pipe because the AC coil had to be removed first so he left and told me that the office was going to call me back and schedule a visit.
During my conversations with the office I tried repeatedly to understand why the issue was not spotted earlier and what exactly were the technicians doing at their maintenance visits if they were unable to spot 'water' inside my system. All I got was silence. It took several calls and several days for the next visit to be scheduled. Two technicians came, removed the coolant off our AC coil then decided that they wouldn't proceed with the proposed repairs unless they could clear next steps with the owner. Since the owner was 'in a meeting', they undid whatever they were doing and left.
When I called the office, on a Thursday, I was told that 'the owner' was out and was expected back on Monday or Tuesday. Again, nobody was able to explain what I was paying for when I was paying for those maintenance visits.
Calling again the following Monday, the person that could take my call was 'on another call'. Of course, she did not call me back. Calling again, one hour later, I was able to speak with her and she told me that 'the owner' was currently working on a remediation plan and I will be contacted shortly. Of course, that call never came. It is Tuesday now and still no call back from the owner or anyone else.
My impression is that they screwed up, big time, and they are now unable or unwilling to own the mess they, through their own incompetence or negligence created. They just lost my business because Total Air Solutions performed way below my expectations. It is not acceptable for a service provider to take money from preemptive maintenance, not act preemptively and then hide and refuse to act when needed. They simply took our money and they did very little in return and, when we really needed them, they decided to hide.
Incidentally, I called another AC company for a second opinion and, to my surprise, their diagnostic was something completely different. I am now waiting for a third opinion now.
Perhaps this should have been a 2-star review because the office staff was always polite but... nice talk, no action. Sadly.

Wanted system cleaned and looked at real good, worried it would not make it thru another year. Had a company out a few months back for one of those 29.95 specials. All he did was try and sell me a new unit, spent less then 5 minutes working on my AC. Called Total Air last week, set up appointment. They spent 45 minutes cleaning, checking things. Told me the unit was OK, but getting to the end of it's use full life. I asked him what it would cost to replace, gave me a few options, never tried to pressure. Plan to hold out for awhile, but I will be calling them to replace my unit when I'm ready.

I have been using Total Air for the entire 11 years we have been in Florida. They have kept our system humming along the whole time. Their maintenance program is affordable and they are always on time for appointments. Jeff Sebastianelli was the tech that came today and he was very polite and courteous. In fact, every tech that has ever come has been so. I highly recommend Total Air to anyone considering a maintenance contract with an A/C company.

Jeff Sebastianelli my service technician was very professional and knowledgeable. The large capacitor in my outside unit went bad and had to be replaced. While he was fixing it I had him also install a current regulator (Kickstart) to hopefully prolong the life on the capacitor. Instead of drawing massive amounts of current on start up it draws maximum of 10 amps which is what the capacitor is rated at.

Terrific! Ginny checked our AC system and made a detailed report. She answered my questions and even cleaned the cover of the vent for me which required a ladder! We are pleased with the service and signed up for another year of AC maintenance.

Holly asked which one? I said the $35 off repair, is there another? She said no. I reviewed my invoice and the website again. There was a coupon for free diagnostic, $79.99 with a service call! Did Holly share that info? NO!
Otherwise, the service person showed up on time and repaired the A/C within 1/2 hour. Working like a charm! I work in Customer Service, reps should be more forthcoming.

it has been nothing but a hassle dealingcwith them. they are not organized. they knew I had a uv light and electronic ac filter and I had the nest thermostat and I only wanted a unit compatible to these devices. the unit installed was not same size si electronic filter didn't fit. but since I had the nest,they would keep the carrier theromstat and give in an electronic ac filter in its place. install happened on Fridayoct 1. ac filter would be in on Tuesday oct 5 in installed on Wednesday(per owner frank) but during install something overloaded the circuit and it damaged my NEST. lucky I was able to get a replacement but that would come in on Thursdayoct 7. well on thursday it came but they tell me no one ordered the ac filter and it wouldn't be here until nov 5 and on thst day they would remove the carrier thermostat to place the nest back. but on nov 5 they sent yet another guy who didn't know anything about the nest being placed back. I had to call company and my son had to show the guy how to install the nest. and the uv light was to be placed back on that day..the guy .also didn't know anything about it and I was given another story about back order and it wasn't it but one day it will be. my mother died Nov 1,so I really needed to have this job finished. at first they said nothing was due payment wise until the job was finished. then I got the story about the Secretary quit and nobody knew what was going on with parts being ordered(this was why my ac filter was not ordered to begin with) . and no one knew I hadn't paid yet. but it wasn't due until placement of light. but with my mom passing I just wanted one less thing to worry about and called back to arrange payment. I said I would be there wed or fri. turns out Wednesday I had to pick.up my mothers ashes,thursday was the funeral and friday I had attorney issues,family to say good bye to and I was a mess and not in town. but mind you I m still waiting for them to finish the job and was told I didn't have to pay until the job was completed. this inccluded putting back what I had in the first place. today I got a call from aaron stating pay now or they will put a lien on my house. I have had a check dated oct 5 all this time. waiting for them to finish and they keep messing up ,I had to remind them about payment and now they threatened me. I never got info on replacement ac filters.no product information. they did half ass job. job not completed with one excuse after another. I will order my ac filters and light from another company.I will pay just to get rid of them. I really have enough on my plate dealing with loss and estate of my mother then to deal any more with this inefficient company. I will never recommended total air solutions.

Evan arrived on time, at the early end of the wind...

Evan arrived on time, at the early end of the window which is much appreciated. He worked efficiently but was very thorough in checking the system fully to make sure everything was in working order. He was able to detect an issue that needed to be repaired. Before providing a quote, he called in to the manufacturer to check the date on the system and my warranty status and helped me through the process of speaking with them as well to make sure everything was in our name as needed as the second owner.
Before leaving, Evan was able to get us working again to hold us over until the part came in to be replaced. He was here on a Friday morning... I was told to expect a call on a Monday with a date on when the part would arrive and we would schedule the repair - to my pleasant surprise the part was already in when I received a call Monday morning. The repair is already scheduled for this week, 2 days later. Very impressed.

Prices are reasonable. Every staff member I ve spoken with has been helpful and pleasant. No hesitation in recommending this company for your HVAC needs!

Edit: 11/12/19 - Updated to add, that I have signed up for the annual service agreement, they called to schedule when the 6 months had passed, and the technician that came out was on-time, very friendly and the system maintenance was very thorough. Still 10/10 would recommend.

Flawed installation of a 4 Ton carrier Air Condition at $8k. Discovered after six months when another Air Condition company performed its maintenance that the system was installed with no filter rack and Filter. Total Air solutions claimed to Better Business Bureau that the system comes with no filter. Totally unheard of!!. This is despite the fact that the Salesman Al Benicassa asked during the installation if we prefer to have the filter installed at the return or in the main unit. We told him install it in the main unit. They ended up not installing it at all. Total Air Solutions doesn t accept responsibility. It did cost us an additional $800 to install the Filter Rack by another company.

I had my entire AC/Heating unit replaced in my condo. It was a very tight fit not to mention the cramped space on the roof where the compressor needed to be placed. Their technician was able to find an exact fit and they had the old wall hung unit removed and reinstalled in one morning. Excellent, clean installation on a new metal stand. Who knew I should have a floor mounted stand? Now the wall doesn't vibrate when the unit runs. The new heating unit kept tripping my 40 year old breaker. No problem, they lent me a new breaker until I could obtain a replacement. Excellent to work with and the price was very competitive. I have recommended them to many friends.

Total Air Solutions installed our new HVAC Heat Pump in August of 2018. Their price was competitive with other vendors, but we were looking for a Carrier unit, and they came highly recommended. Their installers were professional and courteous. Many of our neighbors have used them in the past and have been greatly satisfied with their continuing maintenance service. I would highly recommend them.

If you are thinking about getting your AC done you should absolutely consider Total Air Solutions. We recently purchased a home and needed a complete replacement of our system as it was getting old and there were some humidity issues in the home. We agreed on the system we would use and the team started the work to replace it and then we found out the previous system was was a disaster. Not installed correctly, other systems were damaged to put the ac in our home, etc. Robert, Wyon and Rob communicated with us throughout the the entire job, gave us options to install the system the right way and rolled with it to get it done right. I am very glad I had Total Air Solutions put this system in my home. I know it is done right and I know that it will last for years to come!

Their service technicians have done a exceptional job recently Jeff and Brent. This past week was time to install a replacement unit, Al Benincasa came out who I call the Air Doctor made recommendations and arrangements for my new beautiful Carrier system. Just wanted to thank Al Benincasa for taking all the time we needed to understand the installation, price and maintenance questions we had for installing new a/c heater equipment. Our a/c was only putting out cool-warm air. Tech named Jeff came to the house the same day I called Total for an appointment. He resolved the problem without delay by replacing a capacitor. The capacitor he replaced was installed eleven days less than a year ago by Total so I was not charged anything for the new part, labor or the service call. Jeff was very pleasant and personable which my wife and I greatly appreciated. Thank you Total Air Solutions for standing behind your warranty.

I had service within 24 hours of both my calls. In fact, someone was out and had the unit at the rental property fixed within 8 hours of me being notified!

The in house staff is the most offensive people I have ever encountered. I will even excuse the ignorant self-serving facial exspresions of the office manager; I will not excuse the hidious language that came out of that face. How dare you run a business like that. I suggest an Air company that the hard working men and women that install and repair your heating and air are the roughest edges to that company; not the office staff.
