Nice hotel, good location. Food was just okay. Room is large and clean. Staff is friendly. But having stayed in more than a few urban luxury hotels, this one was missing something.
Beautiful and historic hotel. Quietest rooms we ve ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable and the atmosphere in the main lobby area is wonderful. Also great location to walk to Heinz Field, The Strip, and everything downtown Pittsburg. Highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel, friendly but totally unknowing staff when it comes to handicap access. I am unable to descend steps because of recent knee surgery. There is NO handicap access to any of the restaurants, bars, lobby level restroom or exercise facility, or at least none that the staff is aware of. In addition the restaurants, room service menus while appealing are fat and carb laden. The black bean burger was a fat and rice monstrosity that was bland and tasted like cardboard. If you are disabled or trying to eat "clean" I would strongly suggest elsewhere. On the plus side the place is gorgeous, the staff friendly and food if you willing indulged looks good. FYI because of the historic status of the hotel they do not have to comply with the ADA. Add on comments. Woke up this morning to scalding hot water coming both the hot water and COLD water taps. Never in my entire life traveling have I encountered such a situation. No hot water because of a heater failure is not uncommon, but HOT water coming from the both taps is unheard of. Called for maintenance and took most of the day to fix the issue. Was never offered to move to a different room. Was unable to shower because of the scalding hot water only in the shower.
This is a nice hotel and appears to be the place to stay. The location is very nice for some business meetings and the Starbucks is pretty sweet.
Went here for a conference - very nice space with good service.
Great ambience, well priced, great service, and very comfortable room.
Went here for my graduation, amazing building, loved every second of being there
Two reasons why this is the best hotel in town,
1. My husband and I came here on our wedding night. The front desk staff were very friendly, and they gave us a free upgrade to master suite. The room was large, clean and beautiful, and there is a conference room attached to the bedroom. We had breakfast in the conference room the next morning. We ordered room service and it was amazing! I would definitely come back here!
2. I have been here multiple times for the Red Cross Ball. I have been to different ballrooms and ate their catered dinners. Food is AMAZING and the servers/staff are always friendly and helpful. The elevators are grand!
Very good hotel. A bit old though. Location was good, however.
Very nice. I was there for a conference on the Penn Level and everything was excellent.
What an absolutely beautiful hotel. It has such an elegant charm with it's spacious and impressive lobby and decor. Staff is very friendly and ready to assist with your every need. I had a special request for a birthday surprise to be placed in the room and they were very helpful with suggestions. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable and most important very clean and well kept. The hotel offers many amenities and they have a restaurant, coffee shop, tap room ,gift shop and so much more. The hotel has a warmth unlike any other hotel with outstanding customer service and hospitality. You get such a welcoming feeling at the Omni that is not felt in other hotels. Staff is trained on a high priority level of customer service and satisfaction. Rates are reasonable and location is perfect and easy to get to anywhere in the city or to walk around. I Love this hotel. Keep up the great work.
I only dropped off.my son for a convention there and picked him up 5 days later. He said it was great and showed me around some. It looked nice.
Got news of a family member passing the day of check out. I asked for a late check out to pull myself together. I was told what am I supossed to do about it. I was told no late check outs period. Don't stay here.
Our room was beautiful and the lobby was decorated for Christmas with a huge gingerbread house! Only thing I would suggest is having the Disney channel for kids.
I'm sure a lot could be written about how great the location is, how friendly the staff is, but that's all been said already. What I want to say is they replace the shampoo when you run out. That should be commended.
A hotel with a nice lobby. Acts historically, concierge and valet parking are offered here. Parking is available opposite the hotel. For a normal day of the week you pay $ 18 and at weekends $ 6. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are small. Too bad that no WiFi in the room is included, can be booked for $ 9.95. The rooms lack a bit of cleanliness and attention to detail. Food in the restaurant is very expensive. Highly recommended is a walk to the Strip district. All sights are within easy reach.
Beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful service and staff. My meals were excellent and the hostesses and servers were outstanding at each of the hotel's restaurants. I very much enjoyed my experience at the Omni William Penn and I look forward to my next stay.
Wow - what a classic and beautiful, old hotel! It is quite an experience to stay there!
The Omni William Penn opened the doors to their downstairs banquet halls for the comfort of people displaced from a building evacuation today; so that we could be warm and have a place to sit. Thank you for your kindness!
Hotel lobby is beautiful but the rooms are very small and lack the features of other high end hotels. Additionally the air quality of the rooms is awful. Ended up getting sick after my stay due to the awful air quality. Will not stay again.
My room on the 12th floor was very nice, but the door on the bathroom didn't close.
The Hungry Detective always stays at the William Penn when visiting downtown Pittsburgh!!! Wonderful property with great staff and clean...clean...clean!!! Hang out in the lobby and relax and I'm sure you will see someone famous!!! I would give six stars!!!
Informational but not what was expecting for the ghost tour. Could have looked it up online myself.
The 17th floor ball room was very nice, food was very tasty especially considering the size of our party.
Clean, classy hotel and conference areas. Audio wasn't always great.
This place is beautiful, walk in and you'll know what I mean.
Sink clogged, very very dusty, and I have allergies,,,
Really old and they gave us a room with a door to another room which means you will hear everything in that room
Super awesome Super Saturday with Baeachbody! Hotel is beautiful.
Really elegant hotel located in the heart of the city.
Never wish to work here, they never pay overtime. I worked here and i feel sorry for those that stay here. The way we clean is awful. Do not ever drink in the glasses are not clean. We use the same rag we use to clean the bathroom for the glass. So do not think they are clean. And we never change the bed sheet. We just change to bottom sheet. Not the top ones. I am writing this to warn those that want to stay here. And this is my review and thought about omni william hotels.that is how I was trained
Beautiful hotel, great service and excellent location!
A beautiful grand hotel with all the amenities and staffing you would expect. We will be glad to visit again.
It's a great hotel with very attentive staff. The room's AC feels a little warm however.
I just went to the Starbucks here, the workers are pretty nice but the recent changes make coming here inconvenient to customers.
This hotel is phenomenal. The staff is wonderful and the restaurants and bars are well staffed and tasty. the location is very convenient and has multiple entrances. You don't even have to go outside to get into the neighboring Starbucks or Bruegger's Bagels. We had booked a queen room but we're upgraded to a deluxe king when we checked in - it comes with a bath and a half! We will certainly stay again next time we are in town.
We were in the Lawrence Welk room for my friends bridal shower. We had High Tea service. It was very nice. Service during the shower was great. From what I understand, the original Terrace room was double booked and the Lawrence Welk room is where they placed her. The only compensation provided was complimentary champagne that they stopped serving at some point.
I enjoyed a first class experience at the William Penn during a business convention stay.
We went through to stop at Starbucks and admire the lobby, it's a beautiful hotel!
Conveniently located in downtown Pittsburgh. Friendly staff. Decent sized rooms.
Minor nitpick: coffee machines in the room are stashed away in a drawer and are very inconvenient to use.
I was impressed as this was my first time staying at the Omni. The only issue we had was the building was extremely warm. Our room was very warm as well, even with the heat turned off.
This hotel is absolutely splendid. The architecture is marvelous. It's almost like walking into the past. And the staff is very informative and helpful and courteous. It's a bit pricey but worth the stay.
While the Omni is a little further away than I typically stay for AC it was a very lovely hotel. I liked the atmosphere and easy access to the businesses that reside in the same building. Also, the rooms can be set to 60 degrees, which during the heat of summer is fantastic beyond words. Would stay again!
Beautiful room, great service and the breakfast buffet was amazing!
One of my favorite hotels in PIT! Very well restored historic hotel with lots to offer. Nice gym, friendly staff, well decorated rooms! The fish and chips in the Taproom are also fantastic!
Beautiful hotel. Perfect place to stay if you are going to a concert at PPG arena. Loved hanging out at the Wigle Whiskey room.
The bellman service is horrible. Other than this it s a decent hotel to stay in and centrally located.
Beautiful room, excellent restaurant, overall great experience
Clean and big room. Very close to many restaurants and sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed my stay
It was a beautiful historic hotel. My only concern was the lack of power outlets in the room. Everything else was really good.
Very beautiful hotel, loved the tasting room for Wiggles Wiskey. I attended an even there and the service was quick and polite. Had a great time!
I had a lovely time. I got a great coffee. This is place is not a hospital.
Not worth the price tag. The cost of the room is to justify the overly ornate lobby and first floor. Save your money and stay down the street at the Hilton.
The hotel was very nice and the attached restaurants were very good. The Wigle whiskey bar was a cool place to hang out at. The room services were above board with turn down service and maid services. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be downtown in Pittsburgh.
Comfortable rooms and amenities. Old building with old pipes. Not the quietest when sleeping or showering. Pricey breakfast buffet, but good food. The cleaning service came as early as 8.30am while I was still in bed.
The Omni William Penn Hotel is a gorgeous, stately hotel with multiple great bars and restaurants to enjoy. The service is both professional and friendly, and the quality is superb.
All rooms are very spacious, and the staff are very accomidating. True to the vintage nature of this hotel, many historical amenities such as a very classy bar, a wide, bustling lobby and the option of a newspaper delivery to your room make the Omni a hotel to genuinely appreciate.
Good location and good rooms. Got on Hotwire for a good price !
Comfortable clean room. A lot of fan noise (building air system) coming from outside.
Spacious, well furnished. No issues with staff durring multiple visits
