The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very friendly. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we had an issue with our bathroom but the staff took care of it right away.

Everything was fabulous I really enjoyed the healthy lunch and the information that was giving for the classic thank you so much for the update
Friendly and amazing staff. Amazing view of the city and centrally located.
Had a great stay on the hotel. Lovely staff and great atmosphere.
Amazing stay. Beautiful historic hotel. Would definitely recommend and return.
Doing things like putting a bottle of water in the room with a $6 price tag and charging $10 for internet might be a way to generate additional revenue but seriously hurts the class of this hotel and leaves a bad taste for guests Class means one price and all these incidentals are included for gratis.
This is a v fancy hotel that needs to do better on some basics. They have no airport shuttle, for ex. When I was there, a ladies' toilet in the lobby was completely out of toilet rolls; apparently, no one had thought to check, and the employee I told seemed surprised. As well, they have a few equally fancy restaurants, one of which advertises afternoon tea. What they don't make clear, however, is that reservations are required, which I only found out when a colleague and I tried to order same -- after being ignored for some 10 mins. by every employee in our vicinity.
I can only speak for the ballrooms and catering staff. The wedding venues are beautiful. The serving staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar tenders on staff were not so much.
Gorgeous lobby. We got a good deal on a room, so I suspect in was not as nice as many of them are. Very nice gift shop in hotel and a convenience store. Terrace Room was delightful for breakfast.
Bad and tiny overpriced rooms but what amazing bars and service!!! The food here is amazing and there are a lot of dining options. Cocktails are unique and expertly made. Really fantastic place for a drink or to meet up with people for some food. Dont stay here though, the rooms are pretty small.
Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel. Fabulous bartender ( I can't remember the woman's name.)
Recently stayed at the WIlliam Penn Omni and I would recommend to anyone staying in the downtown Pittsburgh area a wonderful hotel with amazing history and warm staff. 5 Stars.
Didn't really experience much of the hotel. Stopped in for a meeting which meant grabbing a tea from Starbucks and sitting under a chandelier. The lobby/atrium is attractive.
Awesome staff, felt like I was at home. Can't wait to go back!
We stayed one night at the Omni William Penn. The room itself was clean, nice King bed, tiny bathroom. We ordered room service and it was good. We had the burger and the salmon BLT, both were delicious. Parking was a slight hassle, but it could have been worse. There is an underground, public parking garage across the street from the hotel. One thing to note is that you will be charged the daytime and nighttime rates each day and that there are no in-out privileges. Overall a good experience.
I attended a professional event at the hotel and the service was outstanding. The employees are friendly and helpful and I've never had a bad experience here.
The Hotel is beautiful and historic. With this being said, I prefer a newer hotel, when paying this price. I give it 4 stars because the staff were amazing and it is a beautiful hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.
Adam and the lady who checked us in early are the best. We joined the loyalty program because of them. Looking forward to staying at more Omni hotels. Great service and welcoming staff :)
A beautiful hotel. Definitely has that "wow" factor. Check-in process was nice and easy and the staff at the front desk were friendly. The room was a little warm for my taste and the thermostat wouldn't get the temperature down to what I wanted. Other than that, my stay was great! Bed was comfy and the shower pressure...spot on.
I had went to a business seminar at the omni William Penn hotel conference room downstairs this was my 1st experience in this hotel I was very satisfied with everything that I became in contact with very elegant. Very friendly staff Just an overall pleasant experience
Beautiful hotel and quite the happening place.
Breakfast buffet was really too notch and wait staff we re e so friendly and helpful . Major complaint was that the bed mattress was one of the worst ever experienced. Had to book a queen size bed due to the Hotel was so busy. Not sure it was really a queen size...more like a double.
The hotel is beautiful and spacious. The drinks were reasonably priced and the service was great.
The hotel is like a portal to the 1920s and the Great Gatsby. From the speakeasy to the beautiful decor this place is worth a stop.
Amazing service... Pet friendly... What more can I say?
4 stars maybe in another universe not the one we live in. Such a crappy service, rooms are very very very tight, room service is a joke, they didn't even bother to put the pillow nicely when we came back it was just thrown on the bed. the rooms has no fridge if u have milk for babies or food from out side just throw it in the garbage. The hotel standards is not more than 2.5 or maybe 3 but not nlt not not 4 never ever NONONONONO BIG NO
The William Penn Omni Hotel is a beautifully ornate hotel from the early 1900's with modern amenities. My room was comfortable with premium matress and bedding. The restaurants offered great local food and drinks. Everything was within walking distance.
Very nice place. We didn't get to spend enough time at there restaurant/ bars
A wonderful hotel with all the special touches like turn down service and free beverages of coffee and juices in the morning. Beautiful lobby and the rooms and beds are so comfortable.
Very beautiful hotel. Walking distance to most everything downtown
Beautiful hotel room and great staff with a reasonably priced tap room, would recommend again :)
Rooms were very clean, and had an "at home" feel to them with it's older touch... without seeming "old". It's very glamorous and upper class.
Food at the Terrace Room is always good but never fantastic. It's a solid 3.5 or 4 / 5. Service is always great and Nick is probably my favorite server in Pittsburgh. Friendly and attentive, I've been asking to sit in his section for more than a decade and have never regretted it. 3/5 wine list. 5/5 environment.
I visited this hotel to attend a professional conference, but when I arrived to the front I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman who took my keys for valet. As I walked into the hotel, there were stairs. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Coming up the stairs I was overwhelmed by the stunning beauty of this hotel! Beautiful chandeliers, a grand piano, huge open foyer, seating, and an exquisite restaurant. I am a small town girl, so visiting this hotel was like a dream..
One and only reason for the 3 star rating, i stayed in THE SMALLEST ROOM of all my travels. Through my many stays across this country it is useless to "complain" with the front desk. You also have to pay for parking (I was aware)
Other than the square footage of the room, the Omni William Penn is a vintage-well maintained -clean hotel.
I stayed in this hotel a few times back when attending college. It was very clean and the building is beautiful. If you get room service I highly suggest ordering the wings. Probably the best wings I ever had. I wish I took a photo of them!
This hotel is one of the best in Pittsburgh. Be sure to check out the speakeasy downstairs and have Dawn whip up one of their specialty cocktails!
Nicely kept up older hotel in the center of town. Nice amenities and good breakfast and dining options.
Great stay. All of the staff was professional and welcoming. Very clean, comfortable, great food. Would stay here again.
Great location and a very nice hotel. The room was a little small but would stay there again.
Great downtown location but room is kinda small. Decent price.
Fabulous old world charm and service in the heart of down town Pittsburgh
As a frequent business traveler to Pittsburgh the William Penn is always my first choice. I've stayed at most of the other downtown hotels but the level of service and guest experience at the William Penn is unmatched. The only other Pittsburgh hotel in the same tier would be the Fairmont which I've stayed at many times as well, all the others are simply not even in the same league. No doubt, the Fairmont is a very beautiful and impressive hotel with it's contemporary style but the overall guest experience just doesn't compare to the William Penn in my opinion. I used to jokingly refer to the William Penn as my home away from home because that's what it feels like - very warm and welcoming. It's like you feel more like a guest in someone's home than you do a customer. I've stayed at several Omni hotels across the US and they've all been incredible. I must say however that the William Penn's overall guest experience is exceptional.
Room was excellent and the service was great. It was overall a nice experience.
OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I travel frequently for work, and have never been this impressed with the staff, namely Dena, who I believe was the head of housekeeping or the manager on duty. What initially started as a disappointing situation, was quickly remedied by the staff. I am on a very strict diet that requires me to prepare and transport my own food while I travel. I had reserved a mini-fridge and microwave a week in advance before my stay. When I arrived I noticed a cooler tucked away in the entertainment center, and I had assumed that this was the mini-fridge. I was very upset the following day when I discovered that all my food had spoiled because the cooler was not achieving an appropriate temperature. I called the front desk to complain and ask for a new mini-fridge. Shortly after the head of housekeeping called to ask if I had received my new mini-fridge yet. I took the opportunity to explain what happened and express my disappointment with my stay so far. She asked me to put together a list of items that had spoiled, and within a half hour her kitchen had replaced almost everything. There were a few items they needed to purchase specially, because of my dietary restrictions, so they dropped the remaining items off in the morning. Donovan delivered the remaining items, and was incredibly polite and attentive. Only a moment after he left, James Lombardo, the dining manager called to check and make sure I had everything I needed and to apologize again for my troubles. Their team really took care of me and turned an unfortunate situation into a testimonial of their dedication to their customers. I have no idea how they were able to find a grocery store between the hours of midnight and 8:30 a.m. that had organic and sugar free items that I needed, but they made it happen. I am beyond thankful for their service and outstanding hospitality, and urgency to turn my experience around. Dena is an incredible asset to your company, this woman deserves some serious recognition!!!! People like Dena are what create loyal customers!! Thank you Dena!
Hotel is nice in appearance, room was very spacious but very dark and the closet and bathroom were very small. We asked for and did not receive cleaning service one day (we were there for a wedding for three nights). We expected a package and were told it did not arrive and were dismissed until we tracked it and it in fact came. Wedding bags for out of town guests were not brought to the guests' room until management intervened. Overall there were a few too many things which should have been done better. I am not sure I would stay here again.
Super over priced for what it is. Bar there is fairly decent, rooms super clean. Would stay at the Embassy Suites next time around.
Staff was wonderful and the hotel is beautiful. Pay WiFi in room is pretty outdated add free WiFi to all guest pacjages. The bathroom was really small and the lack of larger rooms between the standard rooms and the large suites was a bit disappointing. I did not get the chance to try their restaurants, but they looked top notch.
Visited Pittsburgh for the NCAA final four for women's volleyball. Was very impressed at the quality and luxury of the hotel. Friendly service and great location.
Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The young lady at the desk the night of New Year's Day checked for about 20 minutes to help me try to find a liquor store that was open.
Grand older hotel. Rooms are small but comfy. Lobby is amazing. Free wifi in lobby only. Walking distance to PNC park and many restaurants. Parking is terrible - $19 a day and need Vaseline to get into space.
Staff were very welcoming and very professional. Beautiful historic hotel; wonderfully maintained. Very attractive and comfortable room. Centrally located; within walking distance of great dining options, historic sites, and civic venues. I hope to stay there again someday, and very highly recommend this hotel!
The Omni is an institution of Pittsburgh...it feels strange to even write a review of it. Its ballroom is transcendent, the rooms and decor are beautiful, and going there generally feels like stepping into a time machine and going back to a time of ostentation rarely seen in our modern era. Also the food and drinks available at the numerous attached restaurants and bars are pretty great. The Omni is like a template for what other hotels should be.
The hotel lobby and public areas of the hotel are beautiful and ornate. The 2 cafes (a Starbucks and a bagel chain) were great for breakfast each morning. Housekeeping was friendly, but there were some days when our room wasn't service until 5pm or later. My room was located on the 14th floor and had major issues with air conditioning. The room of a friend staying on the 7th floor was cool throughout the day, but our room was never able to fully cool down - it was warm and humid the entire day, even with the AC running the entire time. I would stay here again, but I would definitely try to get a room on a lower floor if possible since it was so hot higher in the hotel.
Very nice! It's a perfect mix of old school & modern remodel. Almost every detail was looked after from the plush rugs to the smart TVs in the rooms. Rarely have I stayed at a place where absolutely EVERYONE on the staff was super helpful and pleasant like at the Omni. Will definitely stay again when back in town.
Quaint classic Pittsburgh downtown hotel. We stayed here for light up night... Short walk to the Point...
First class every step of the way. From the doorman to the shoe shine man.
The old man bartender is the WORST. Miserable and this isn't the first time that we've dealt with him.
Beautiful hotel! We really enjoyed it. We were only able to stay for one night but we will be returning next time we go to Pittsburgh!
Love this Omni we stay here several times a year for special events in the city but this time was very disappointing. Our room had 2 bathrooms which was nice except the one with the shower was extremely small, no counter space and almost killed myself getting in and out of the tub. Water was luke warm, coffee was terrible and the one toilet wouldn't flush. I did let them know about our dissatisfaction but not much of a response. Again love coming here but might choose the Marriott next time.
