If you re looking for elegance and history the Omni is your spot. It is beautiful inside and out, and is seated perfectly in the heart of the city. We visited in mid-November and were able to enjoy Light Up Night, as well as take in the beautifully decorated grand entrance. The replica Gingerbread House was amazing. The missing star comes from noise the walls are thin. We could hear all of the hallway noise, as well as our neighbors showering very early each morning. The room and stay was otherwise very enjoyable.

Great hotel in the middle of Downtown Pittsburgh. Room was larger than expected and very clean. Location is very convenient to area attractions. Staff was friendly. Absolutely would stay again.

Gorgeous old grand hotel int he heart of Pittsburgh . Attended for a conference. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, The windows open, which i appreciated. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean. Starbucks in lobby was a welcome feature.
LOVED the big band music in the lobby. Staff are very friendly.

Beautiful hotel, lobby is gorgeous. Only real cons are the rooms are small and the view we had was of a brick wall. But convenient location, clean, and everyone was friendly. Great experience.

Wonderful experience! Besides the usual elegant rooms and service you'd expect at a room of this caliber, there was construction surrounding the hotel during the middle of our stay, and hotel staff did everything in their power to reduce the inconvenience and keep us informed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The staff is amazing, nice accommodations for the king room I had. Food trucks across the street during the lunch hour. Dawn, the bartendress extraordinaire in the speakeasy and the staff at that spot of the hotel was my highlight of my trip, she was amazing and made my normal business trip great. Now my complaints.... The taproom staff were not as attentive and personal as the speakeasy staff.... Granted, they had been hit with a post hockey rush... But i sat at a table until the kitchens were closed and never got waited on... Plenty of glances, but no service, I left and went to my room hungry. And the kitchens closed at 11 on a Friday night... So Fyi.... If they can fix the taproom service I would give 5 stars, and that is based on all of the other(non taproom) staff, especially that of the speakeasy... Other side note, if you are hauling your own bags to your room, you have to go up stairs from the grand entrance.... About half a flight.

The flavor is fine with this hotel. The staff was very friendly. There is valet service for about $25 or parking across the street for about $6. Our room was small but very clean. The bathroom could use to minor touch ups, buy nice nonetheless. We had a nice view on our corner room. We would definitely go back.

This is such an amazing grande hotel. Staff and service are top-notch and friendly, food is wonderful, and the rooms are quiet. Even while operating at full occupancy, it felt as if we had complete privacy and peace. Love it.

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, close proximity to free T stops, and comfortable beds/pillows. In house Starbucks was very convenient, but the restaurants in the hotel were a little too pricey for me.

I wish I could share a lot of pictures because it is a Grand Dame! If you stay there, make sure you put some time out for talking to the concierge and taking a tour. They don't have actual tours that they will give you all sorts of historical information. The picture I have here as one of the outside of the hotel as president Eisenhower's motorcade drives up!

Despite the chaos of an enormous convention the staff had been diligent, hard working, and have kept the rooms clean, the environment friendly, and the experience great. Will gladly stay again.

Beautiful old downtown hotel. Have stayed there many times over the years.
Always friendly staff, plenty of nearby food/drinks. Self Parking $19 / Valet $36 Always expensive in a big city though.
Good overall experience. I would recommend.

Went to the tap room on the ground floor of the hotel and the prices were high but the service was great, probably avoid drinking bc it is casual tap beer at a high price but our waiter was awesome! Recommended a meal that was exactly what I wanted.

2nd time staying here and still not dissapointed. This is grand elegant hotel. I come in for the race and its less then a quarter mile away from start line. My only dissapointed this time around was my check in. I am a loyalty programs member and i did the early check in with a request for my room from last visit. When i arrived my key was not in the board for quick check ins. When i had to check in with front desk i was told that my room was not avail that i asked for and that i had to stay with the room i had. I then asked for a double bed room then, was told that was all booked and sold out. This being said i went to the room i was assigned too. Minutes into being in the room i called the concierge desk button on the phone and guess what?..2 new room keys to my double bed room were being sent to me. That was a confusing mess that i wish they would address especially with repeat customers. That was a small hiccup to the trip. This hotel is still a great choice and stay in the city. Its very dated in a good way that is still up to date and keeping with the hotels style.

Stopped in at the Omni William Penn for the first time since moving to Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. If I had only known what I've been missing! The building is absolutely amazing. Immaculately decorated and ornate in a way that only a building of its age can be. Everything about the building screams classic power. Towering rooms, with gorgeous chandeliers, wide open entryways with ample seating for all. Just a great experience. If you can find it, search out the Speakeasy Bar and get a Gin Old Fashioned... the best drink I've ever had in my life! Great experience overall, will definitely go back.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are nice and spacious. If you arrive early they were happy to tag and hold our bags until check-in was available. Short walk to PPG arena. Lobby and lobby bar are a nice area to spend some time. The Tap Room has great beer selection and the chips available there are quite good, server we had twice was fun and entertaining.

I love this hotel for business trips to PIT. Wish I could enjoy it at a more leisurely pace rather than just for business. Had an opportunity to get a tour of the old ballrooms. Really fabulous.

I recently had lunch at the Omni William Penn Hotel's Tap Room, which is my favorite place to meet up with friends. The decor is rich and lush, recalling an upscale pub. A fireplace adds comfort in cold weather. Food is substantial and service impeccable.

The William Penn is "the Hotel" in Pittsburgh ... beautiful and well maintained; the staff is professional and very attentive. While we have always enjoyed the Terrace Restaurant, there are many quality restaurants in the immediate area as the hotel is located to many attractions; just a short walk across the Clemente Bridge to sports and otherent ertainment venues.

We have previously stayed at other hotels, and just recently attended a family wedding reception hosted at a nearby hotel, and were so relieved to get back to stay at the William Penn where we knew we could relax. It's not just a hotel to sleep in, it a hotel to experience.

This place has the old historic feel. The lobby was beautiful. Lots of amenities, like 3 restaurants, 2 stores, in room massages, etc. Great location. The room was very spacious. We stayed in a room with two double beds. Honestly, for the price we paid for the night ($300 plus), it was a little rundown in the hall and rooms. That is why it got 4 stars. There were stains on the main hall carpet by the elevator on the 9th floor. Wall paper starting to come apart at the seams in the room along with cracked granite in the bathroom. Also a pillowcase had a huge smudge of makeup on it that shouldn't have been missed by the cleaners. Very dusty.
I love the historic feel, but need more attention to detail. The Lobby was amazing for that grande entrance though. The staff was very friendly.

Very beautiful hotel with well maintained traditional furnishings. Comfy beds but room temp was difficult to control. Also Internet connection was spotty and slow. Otherwise, great location, nice staff, and good food.

Stayed at the Omni William Penn for a conference - that was in another hotel. The people that run this hotel - the valet, front desk, concierge, etc. were amazing. They were friendly, and always willing to assist. I would highly recommend this hotel for a nice get away.

I loved the old hotel atmosphere but the newer updated rooms. The staff was very helpful. It was nice to have a Bellman that took care of us personally and asked if I wanted him to get ice for me. He explained the layout of the hotel and was Charming. My only detraction was the cost of parking $34 is a day. I realize that any large city Hotel has this parking charge. I just thought it would be more reasonably priced.

I went there for Christmas brunch buffet at $55 each (non-alcoholic beverages were extra). The food was ok, but not great. Food was salty as hell and cold. Service is also at an average level given the 55 bucks they charge you.

The best thing about this place was all that holiday decoration they had.

Valentine's day dinner. Very good meal with the exception of chevre salad which was bland and the dessert macarons were presented in frosting. This melted the outside of the cookie making it unappetizing.

BLEAT!
