Beautiful and well-located with great staff and service. Unnecessarily expensive, and rooms don't include fridge, microwave, or basic coffee makers; even basic WiFi is an extra $10 on top of an already - expensive stay.

Was a mix up on when we were arriving so the room was canceled. They got us 2 days of the 5 back and told us to check back. We did and they told us we could get the other 3. Some how there was another screw up and we don't have a room for the final night. They charged us for the day we weren't here and charged us full price for the room rather than our original discount price. Now I have to move hotels on the last night! They owned up to none of the screw ups. Took full advantage of us due to it being busy. Workers were rude and Amanda the manager was the worst of all. 0 compassion or people skills. We travel alot and I have never been treated or been taken advantage of like this. Stay away!

My son and I, stayed at the Omni William Penn Hotel, for his Pittsburgh hockey tournament (Three Rivers Tournament), from Thursday January 17th to Monday January 21st, 2019.

The ambiance of this grand hotel is difficult to take in at first, as it is so regal and at the same time, so immense! The cleanliness throughout, is spotless and the service staff that tends to this, obviously takes great pride in their work.

Our check in, with Madison, was very easy and highly professional. The entire front desk staff is very well trained, but you will quickly notice - they really enjoy what they do! A number of times, I went to Krystal for help on different matters (extending our stay due to bad weather, sending a large parcel to England, etc), and Krystal could not have been more helpful.

Our room was kept spotless throughout our stay and the chambermaids (if that is the correct term), were always so polite, whenever we would see them in the halls!

The gym at the Omni William Penn Hotel, is equipped like most professional bodybuilding/fitness gyms! Lots of machines, free weights, dumbbells, benches, and the gym also has a number of bikes/cross-trainers, etc. The gym is open 24 hours a day and during regular hours, it is taken care of by a great lady, named "Dee Dee!" I mention Dee Dee because she keeps the gym in perfect shape, and she has the unique work history of having been steadily employed at the Omni William Penn Hotel, for 44 years!

The restaurant in this hotel is excellent! We were fortunate enough to have had our team manager, Helen, book us in for a hockey tournament, and in our booking, she negotiated an all inclusive buffet breakfast! Before I get to the food, I will tell you about our server - "Josh!"

Josh was one of the 'newer employees,' having worked at the Omni William Penn Hotel for ONLY 17 years! He provided us with impeccably professional service, for each of the five mornings we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Never once did I have to ask for a refill on my coffee! For that matter, we didn't have to ask Josh for anything, as he intuitively anticipated all of our needs!

The food was incredible! The selection was beyond anything we could have imagined, and the lady working at the 'Omelet Station,' "Brenda," consistently made us the best omelets we have ever enjoyed! Brenda was also one of the 'newer' employees, having worked at the Omni William Penn Hotel for JUST 12 years!

Due to our tournament schedule, I only had the privilege of eating dinner on one occasion, and as expected, dinner was excellent. I ordered 'Prime Rib,' with all the fixings, and my dinner arrived hot and prepared to my very exacting specifications! "Rare!" Nicholas was our server and he did his job perfectly. Was always there when I needed him... without once having to be asked!

The Valet and Bell services were excellent! It was always easy to have my truck parked or delivered when needed, by the Valets. Each Valet we dealt with was always willing to provide directions, insights to great sights to see, and recommendations for really good restaurants! They were all very pleasant and professional to deal with!

The Bellmen did what all Bellmen do... but it seemed that they seemed to do everything just that much better! We never had to wait very long for them to arrive, and they treated our luggage with great care!

At one point during our stay, I paid a visit to the Concierge, to inquire as to the best way to send a large parcel to a friend in England. The man spent a lot of time on the phone with various courier services, to do his best to find me the best rate!

My overall experience with this hotel has left me with the distinct imprint that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Having stayed in several hotels, around the world, like the "Hotel du Paris," in Monte Carlo, my previous favourite - the Omni William Penn Hotel, has now taken that mantel - at least, in my experience!

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

Omni corporate gets negative stars for creating a confusing and disruptive experience with my reservation. Phone help ended up making a mess of things that the local staff thankfully cleared up.

Local staff at the Penn get 6/5 stars. They are amazingly helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms are ancient and in need of updating. The room was extremely hot. The noise from outside and from the hotel was unacceptable. Thankfully, the local staff helped us get out of our reservation so we could find another hotel. We literally got up at 1am, booked another hotel, and left at 2am. We left this hotel in the middle of the night because of the room.

I won't be back to the Penn, but that's just because I'm not partial to the rooms there. The staff are great, and the building is beautiful.

Because of the customer service from corporate, though, I won't stay at an Omni hotel again, ever.

The hotel is located close to many downtown attractions. PNC park, Heinz field, and the Andy Warhol museum are just a few within 20 minute walking distance. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and events going on downtown. The rooms are very spacious even for a standard room. Since the hotel is downtown it can be noisy in the rooms due to traffic but the hotel itself is quiet. Overall, good experience.

We were thinking of driving our small (ish) Winnebago up there so I called to ask about parking possibilities. I was transferred to Paul the Concierge and after explaining my situation he said that while we clearly would not fit in the garage he was going to research it and call me back with options. When he did call back I discovered he had personally walked down several blocks to look at an outdoor lot and judge how large the opening would be! He called back with that information and the telephone numbers for two local companies that manage parking. We are not staying there until the first of August but if his customer service is any indication I am certain we will have more good things to say about this hotel! Thanks Paul!

Only reason they are getting 3 stars is because of the pub. The Tap Room is the best part about the whole place. The valet was terrible. Seriously, they stood there and did nothing. Even started walking away when I tried to get their attention. The online check in did absolutely nothing. We still had to check in there. The rooms are not numbered sequentially on the floor we stayed on. The arrangement of the room made access to the bathroom cumbersome.

Beautiful building, nice revolving front doors with a bell hop out front- parking immediately across st underneath a park. Parking was $18 first night, $5 for second night. Not bad, good quality hotel with plenty of perks including centrally located

The Omni William Penn Hotel is an extremely elegant hotel with style and grace. The entrance looks like a royal hotel in New York or England. The service is top notch with the staff making sure your every need is taken care of. I visited the hotel for a wedding which allow for freedom to make the wedding as beautiful and personal as possible. The food what is beyond excellent and the wait staff make sure you are very comfortable. I guess this hotel 5 stars because I have never been treated in such a manner at any other change.

A classic throw back Grand hotel. My room was spacious, comfortable and quiet so it checked all the boxes. Yes, it's busy and oriented to large groups but I'd happily stay there again.

Classy, historic hotel with beautiful restorations. They just don't do it like this any more, with intricate inlaid floors, wood molding and wall decor, thick rugs and a grand sitting room.

Vintage hotel with a lot of character. Rooms are well sized and reasonably modern. Starbucks in the main lobby and a nice little whiskey bar attached to the hotel. Water pressure/temperature can fluctuate, especially in the morning.

We had dinner at the Terrace Room. The food was delicious. I had a buffet special they were running with pasta, chicken, and beef dishes. All were great. The only negative was that our server seemed a bit confused about everything. We'd definitely go back again though.

The location is ideal, close to PNC and Heinz field. It's also within walking distance of the square with restaurants like Primanti Bros. The rooms are nice and comfortable, no complaints about service.

I haven't been to CBW in years. Went in December. I wasn't overly impressed like I would have to of been, but it was good. Our server was great, so personable and on top of it. I had the bison meatloaf and it was wonderful. Desserts and salads were okay. Will go back. Recommend.
