I was there for a conference. Lots of space. It was a little bit hard to hear in time and the rooms were all over the place. Felt like it was set up more for weddings and small business meetings, rather than a conference space.

Was in town and decided to stay. Westin was awesome. New and modern decor and comfortable rooms. The downside is that although they don't tell you they charge for WiFi and the room service was billed to my card wrong. 2 hamburger and a desert for $73 you kidding me? Everything else was fine.

Clean room, easy enough walk to Oldport, awesome Chinese restaurant around the corner (Empire). If you really want to do a lot of walking around for shops and what not, find a hotel in Oldport, otherwise this is a nice hotel with parking nearby.

A fancy entrance should not be enough to make a hotel 4-stars, it should be about the experience they provide... Let's begin with the $35 they charge for valet parking and just continue with most of the things in the hotel. There's a parking lot next to the building where you can park yourself for $25. Not even cable or breakfast is included, which you can get for free at any cheap hotel. Hallways were plain dirty, maybe even dirtier than a cheap hotel! The receptionist didn't even come close to smiling and treated me like an idiot for something I asked. The view outside is the most horrible thing I've seen, I literally had to close the curtains. I think the only really good thing about this place is the location. Not impressed.

Terrible experience @ Westin Portland ME. I had room thru my AMEX, reserved a jr king suite. But front desk kept insisting I did not have that room and put me into a standard room. They said I needed to take it up with AMEX and I could upgrade for $105/night. Meanwhile, I already was on the phone with AMEX figuring it out, since I was traveling with family and two toddlers who needed to nap and I had to get to the bottom of this. Waiting for hotel manager to get back to me (which I never heard from), I called AMEX, who confirmed I did book the jr suite. They then called hotel (after being on hold for awhile) and told the hotel I DID have the jr king suite. Only after this, I then called down to front desk and they confirmed my original point - they put me in the wrong room.

I WAS SO RUDELY TREATED. Latter found out front desk "confused me with another guest". That's a lousy excuse, they checked my photo ID! After many years of staying loyal to SPG and defending SPG vs. other programs, I'm seriously second guessing. I guess when you travel with family vs. the business crowd you get treated differently!!

Whenever we are traveling we try to stay at The Westin. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They provide valet parking and 24hr room service. You can also save $5 per night if you decide to be green and not have your room cleaned. Overall experience was great and if we come back to Portland Maine we will be back here!

I hosted a private event here and the staff was outstanding every step of the way. We were in the mezzanine and it was a beautiful space, set up to perfectly match the desired atmosphere of our event and everyone was very nice amd helpful and wrnt out od their way to accommodate our needs and ensure our event was a huge success. And the good food was fantastic, amd the event staff worked with us to custom design the menu to our exact specifications. For an upscale event designed to impress, this ia the place to go!

Great service. Been at the hotel a couple of time. Surprised the front desk people actually remembers me. Very friendly attitude from all workers. Room is neat and clean. Enjoy living there very much.

Very poor experience. The lounge was not open at the time it said it would be open so everyone was waiting around an hour after the stated opening time. Check in was a disaster - keys didn t work the first or second time after going downstairs, when it did open -the room was filthy and not ready for us.

We went for upgrade of "City View" with a king side bed. When we went into the room we noticed that the view ain't anything that you would call "City View". Majority of the view is the rooftop parking garage. We called the receptionist if they can change a room to one with the view of the beautiful Portland city but they insisted this is the city view room.

They were very persistent with the claim that the exact room was a city view room, and we were getting hungry for dinner so we decided to just have another chat next morning. The receptionist on the following day just blamed everything on the 3rd party website we made the reservation and so they can't do anything about this reservation.

I'm uploading a photo of the room that is called "City View". This is definitely not worth $380, you will see that it's just the rooftop of the parking garage.

Room was great, 15th floor lounge had great views and drinks. Great location. Friendly people. A little disappointed with no exec platinum concierge lounge or breakfast arrangements, but the room upgrade made up for it. This is where I would go again for either business or pleasure in Portland.

I went here for apps so I'm not reviewing my experience staying here at the hotel. Very disappointed with the renovations. It looks a bit tacky and modern. It used to have beautiful polished brass everywhere. They could have made it look a bit more upscale and designed around the vintage features. It was Portland's plaza hotel and now it is a hotel in a box.

Overall a very good stay. Valet , shuttle staff and front desk excellent. Was disappointed that there was no coffee or continental breakfast downstairs in the morning-even less expensive places offer that. But was exceptionally pleased with Dustin who went above and beyond by FedExing my credit card to me-somehow I had left it behind. He was very good.

The hotel is not worth the money I guess you only pay for the fact you can see the harbor from the room. The rooms aren t impressive for the money. The service is very poor whether you eat at the rooftop restaurant or dealing with the hotel staff themselves. I told them ahead of time that we we re celebrating my girlfriend s birthday and they said that s great we would do something special and then they didn t even acknowledge it. The valet miss placed our luggage and no one could get the story correct of how it happened. The next morning at check out I wasn t even asked how was your stay. When I checked out by mistake I forgot a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and when I called later in the day all I got was the runaround again. Even the hotel manager didn t want to bother helping me find it. I would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel and absolutely will never go back.

The front desk staff is ok, but the hotel only shows its past greatness as now the hotel is barely keeping up with the elevators. The outside is plain Jane and doesn't look like much. They charge 26 a night for parking. The restaurant in the lobby is over priced for the food they serve. The cleaning staff has only 2 words of English in their vocabulary and are very unfriendly. The lack of cleaning during the daytime hours is bad. We left for 4hrs in the morning and came back to a dirty room. At 2pm is when they have a person cleaning rooms.
I will not stay here again and I'll let my agency that has this hotel in the discount section to remove it from the list.

The only good thing is the Concierge Gail. She's very knowledgeable and loves my pup. She needs to be come the manager of this place to put the smile back on people's faces.

Front Desk and Concierge are amazing. Super accommodating and sources of great recommendations. Great location. Amazing views. It helps that my absolutely favorite resto in Portland, Katahdin, is out the back entrance just across Forest.

I'll always remember my stay at this hotel. My musician son was putting on a show which included a twenty piece band. A typical hotel desk would make a little small talk and give you the room key. The desk staff here expressed a genuine interest and even asked me about it the next day. My room had a great view and I noticed was nicely furnished. At check out there was a courtesy bus waiting to drop me off at the bus station. I remember it like it was yesterday. And oh. what a show!

The staff was very helpful during my stay (I was traveling with a infant) and the location is perfect- A few downsides are there is no parking you must pay additional $27 a day to park, there's no pool or hot tub and no complementary breakfast

Friendly staff completely ill-equipped to handle busy boom. We arrived around the 3pm check-in time, only to be added to the large cluster of people for whom rooms were not ready. No attempt at compensation was made, other than an apology. I asked for our bags to be brought to the room, but after a lengthy visit to the top floor bar (only bright spot), we had to bring them up from behind the desk ourselves. Bed comfy, sheets not. One night stay only, but housekeeping knocked at 9:15 - perhaps trying to recover from previous day? We will not be returning.

Attended an event at the grand ballroom. Nice venue, great service, good appetizers and drinks. Acoustics made things rather loud and networking challenging. Very hot in room. Over all good experience.

This hotel was great! We accidentally booked a room for the wrong day, but they were able to accommodate us with no issues, even though it was restaurant week and all the hotels were swamped. The room was nice. Free waters in the mini fridge, plenty of outlets and places to charge things, tons of pillows and crazy clean. The bar on the 15th floor was nice. It's a little pricy, but super swanky. The staff was all very friendly and super helpful, and even the view of the parking lot was nice from our big windows on the 5th floor. They have tons of amenities, like a gym with a gear borrowing program, just in case you forget to bring stuff, 2 restaurants, and food that can be ordered until 6am. Walking distance to everything important, parking garage next door with a discounted rate, valet parking available. It was great!

Very easy to find - we pulled up and the valet greeted us saying he would park the car for $34 or we could in the lot immediately next door for $26. We parked for a minute right there to check in and then we were off to go have lunch!

The staff at the front desk were all very attentive and friendly. Amie took great care to get our rooms on the same floor, etc... Gave us cards that explained their free shuttle service to various spots in Portland, explained the easy parking and answered any questions.

The hotel is beautifully decorated in a modern way. The room was very clean, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was well lit with plenty of linens, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and lotion - extra added touch with bathrobe. Starbucks coffee, tea for self serve and water bottles, in room safe and small frig. Generous size closet with ironing board, iron and lots of hangers. It was very quiet on the 11th floor.

We didn't have time to sip cocktails at Top of the East on the 15th floor with amazing views from floor to ceiling windows...that will have to be next time.

The newly updated formerly Easton hotel is shaping up to be quite the contemporary destination for the Portland metro area. Excellent city and ocean views from well accommodated rooms. Would stay again.

6.15pm - rooms are not ready. They are giving us vouchers for free drinks. Who cares for free drinks when we have plans and dinner reservation. Extreme inconvenience. Never ever Westin again. Also hotel feels a bit dated, lobby is quite uncomfortable and there are steps going up. 15th floor bar has great views, great service but also does not feel very cozy. Also maybe rooms are nice but they are not letting us in so can t judge.
