Hotel is very nice and in the heart of town. The rooms were very spacious and modem. The gym was incredible and felt new. The only issue with the hotel is parking. DO NOT SELF PARK AT THEIR GARAGE. You will be better off using the valet service as the parking garage is constantly having issues preventing you from leaving. When attempting to check out it took 45 minutes to get the car out of the garage.

As with most Westins, very nice. Although I stayed as a guest on the pull out sofa... I Have to say, it's the best sofa I've ever slept on.
Valet had a bit of a time as they they don't all know how to drive a stick shift. Should be required as a valet.

Very pleasant staff and a very nice and beautiful hotel. I felt quite safe as you are required to have a hotel key to access most floors. That is except for the stunning top of the East lounge which grants you panoramic views of the Portland landscape. 10/10 would stay if I ever had the money to afford it.

Took 3 attempts to have my bed sheets changed due to both beda being stained. Went down once, was told that he'll call someone to change it. After returning from the gym almost an hour later, called again because sheets weren't changed. He said he'll call me back after calling. 45 minutes later, no call. Called again and a woman came up and changed the sheets. Took almost 2 hours and it was past 1am. She said there was miscommunication and the guy didn't tell anyone. Would be 1 star if not for the fitness center.

Nice place. Great location. Parking garage is convenient. Awesome that they allow dogs - we brought ours. Free dog bed and bowls are included, per their marketing. These items weren't in our room when we arrived even though my wife confirmed we had a dog when she booked. So we called the front desk and requested these items. They said they would send right up. They never came, so five hours later we called again and requested and they said they would send right up. Never came again. A little frustrating. Would've given 5 stars otherwise, but customer service was lacking in this regard.

Beautiful, newly renovated, modern hotel in an older neighborhood. Our room was modern, comfortable and very quiet. Upon checking in, the front desk worked with my husband to change our room as he had booked it incorrectly online. We were able to change our reservation and were then upgraded to a suite, which was great. Jessica in Service Express was awesome. She knew we were there celebrating our anniversary and had a plate of chocolate covered strawberries up to our room that night. Overall great experience and within walking distance to a lot in the Old Port including the Art Walk.

Although the conference rooms have been a little chilly, the food and service has been amazing. This location is central to town where there are great restaurant and entertainment opportunities. I'm staying at a different hotel, but I like the option of being able to take my next stay at the Westin where there's a good fitness center and guided runs twice a week (not to mention they have workout clothes if you forget yours).

I hate to rate a place so negatively. This was by far the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. The valet nearly hit a pedestrian with our car (speeding in it) and when she locked up the brakes it damaged them. We had our 1 year old daughter with us in the room and the constant traffic of drunk people screaming in the hallways kept us up all night! For the money we paid the experience should have been top notch. I do not recommended this hotel.

Pretty swanky. This use to be run down but now it is fabulous. Everything is fancy, restaurant may be a bit pricey but tasty. The lounge on the 15th door is a great view and also fancy. Staff was exceptional.

So this is kinda confusing, I've stayed there a few times I believe 2 in total. Well the first time was for my birthday and we had a very good time in a very nice room and and meet some very interesting people who made the night that much for enjoyable.
However, the second night we stayed there an abundance of problems occurred during check in, Which in turn would ultimately lead to other issues making the new years eve night a one to forget. As my girlfriend arrived at the hotel to check in to the suit we had requested a week in advance, she was told that would be unavailable for us at the present time due to overbooking. Well my gf is a very quiet, respectful woman who will take what they offer her regardless If it's what she had booked or not.
Well as soon as I had arrived at the hotel I entered the room and it had to be the next best thing to the janitor closet. Tiny, one window facing a brick wall and a small little shower behind the door of the bathroom. Needless to say I wasn't happy, made a call to the front desk, spoke with one of many managers who arranged it so we could have the same room we had the very first time we stayed there but still no suite.
All in all it wasn't worth the money or the stress. And for some reason I still get blamed for us not getting the suit we were promised. But in time this too shall pass, I just wish the hotel had made right on their end and to this day im still waiting for that phone call.

The Westin Portland Harborview did a wonderful job hosting the renewal of vows ceremony for my friend's parents.

The food was delicious. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs.

I would highly recommend having a function there.

Great!

The restaurant on the first floor has awesome food would recommend for breakfast especially. Check out the rooftop bar as well, it's 15 stories up with 360 views. The Westin is my preferred hotel when I go to Portland for music shows. It's in a prime spot within easy walking distance to everything. Never had a bad experience in the rooms. Always clean.

Dinner service was awful. Waiter failed to put our order through did not bring our drinks. We complained and ended up getting dinner on the house. They said it was waiter's first day.
Breakfast service on the contrary was excellent.
In bathroom door stop is on the floor right where you step out of the shower so be careful. Location is great for walking around town.

Lots of disappoints here...
Ac unit rattling all night. Called front desk at 10:12 notifying them. Told them we d have to use earplugs.
Staff asked if I had turned on and off the unit, of which I replied I had to no avail numerous times.
Wall paper peeling off walls.
No ramp to bring luggage from car into lobby.
$26 to self park.

Not the Westin experience. Very disappointed
Have filed a negative review and will contact management ASAP.

Have stayed in many hotels as your director for last 10 years. This is not a comfort inn....

The room was nice. We had a view of the large church across the road. The restaurant was a little too dim, I couldn't read the menu very well, no prices on it. But the food was excellent! The Top of the East lounge was wonderful with the awesome view of Portland harbour (at night). The staff all through the hotel, restaurant and lounge were wonderful. Very helpful, kind and always a nice smile.
The 35 dollar charge for valet parking should've been included in the price of the room. Not sure if that is per night (as we only stayed one night) or if it was per stay. The parking attendants were wonderful and had our car ready for us in minutes.
We loved our stay.

I was at the Westin for a work conference. The facility was nice and very well maintained. The staff and ushers were on top of it and directed people where to go, responded to requests and were very professional. Very pleasant experience overall.

I went to The Westin Portland Harbor view for drinks with a group of 12 girls (Bachelorette party). We found comfortable seating and were immediately welcomed by a server. Views were beautiful, atmosphere was elegant, and wine selection was great.

In one word:AWFUL. We called from the airport for the hotel shuttle and the receptionist told us 20 min. We waited 20 min and called them back and they said it would take another 15 min. The hotel was not full at all so it wasn't like anyone was busy. We ended up taking a taxi. When we got the hotel, the desk person walked away in the middle of the sign-in process and we had to hunt him down. The whole process just came across as "we could care less." AND the sink isn't partially clogged and the heat is very weak. I cranked it all the way up and the room is still too cold. The pillow cases are either so overly starched or of such low quality it's like sleeping on tin foil. When I requested a wake up call, they didn't get th time right. And finally, they messed up our taxi time because they didn't call the taxi soon enough. They had promised the cab would be there and waiting at 445am and it wasn't. If there is a way to screw up, this hotel staff did it. How this dump is considered a 4 star hotel is beyond me. I've been to Motel 6s that are better.

Very rude and snotty , looked down their noses at me both stays iv had here. I also waited an hour for the dog bed and treats they said they'd have sent up , tried to call down to tell them to cancel it and couldn't through. Then waited 20 minutes in line to get tell them to Forget about the dog stuff I didn't want it anymore. The cleric said okay he would take care of it . Then 45 minutes later I get a voicemail from them stating they attempted to bring the dog bed in and were greeted at the door by my dog barking at them so they were Un able to leave the bed. I don't understand why they bothered coming almost an hour after I told the guy at the desk in person to cancel it. Way too much money is nickel and dimed and it is not worth the harassment and bad attitudes at all . I'd much sooner recommend the LA Quinta or Holiday Inn.

Amazing place to stay. Can't ask for a better staff. They are very friendly. The food was great. The staff also speak in many languages. I'm French and English. Spoke to them in both languages at the same time. Was fun because we all had our own accents. When we go back this is the place where we are going to stay for sure.

I'm frustrated that someone can drop a ton of cash and close the Top of the East to me, so there's no chance to enjoy a view of the city. In my room, I'm enjoying a view of a parking lot and the previous guests food in my rooms fridge. If this did not occur, I'd give this place 5 stars, but shutting things down for the rich and being greeted by a dirty food tray (that's not mine) in front of my room and food in the refrigerator... . It gets 3. I booked this hotel bc it was across from the State Theater but then the Decemberists canceled the concert.

Basically, I wasted my money being here. The non-management staff, however, is incredibly friendly. I appreciate their kindness and decency.

Bottom line, my frustration is situational. The hotel is in a great spot for concerts and supposedly the rooftop view is fantastic. Today, a great experience just wasn't in the cards, no matter how I played them.

I travel extensively in my profession and this is the best Westin I have been to in the country. The staff are incredibly helpful, warm and caring. My most recent visit was for a job interview. I mentioned this in passing to Tanya and she brought it up repeatedly throughout my stay, asking how it went and telling me she was rooting for me. Her interest made such a huge difference (and probably helped me get the job!). Most hotels show a remote interest in their patrons but Portland Westin treats their guests with a refreshing sense of care. I look forward to staying again and will recommend this property to friends, family, and colleagues any chance I get.

The staff was great, the room was pretty and very comfortable. It is in a great central location to explore downtown, walking distance to all the great restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This Westin is the only place I stay when I visit Portland. It has a solid location and quality value. I ran into an incident where at 1am their system bumped me out of a room (as in, the room was no longer 'mine'). After some troubleshooting it was all worked out and my partner and I received free breakfast. Great service all around!

We had a great stay. Perfect room, comfortable bed and views of Portland that I had never seen and I grew up here!
Connor at the front desk was helpful before we arrived and when we got there. Friendly, efficient and helpful.
We will definitely be back.
Was nice to get away but still feel safe during the crazy going on all around us.
Thank you Westin and Connor for making us and the world feel a little normal for a short time.

I would stay here again.

Very convenient! This is in the Arts District and require at least a half a mile walk to Old Port. The walk is a great way to explore the city, but there is a free shuttle. You just go to the lobby and the shuttle will be available in 5-15 minutes. For pick up, you call and let them know where you are. This was perfect during a rainy night.

I left my room at 930am. Came back at 230 pm and it wasn't cleaned. I did hang the Green option door tag, which I thought it meant I'll keep my towels but the bed will still be made etc. We left at 630pm and returned at 9pm and it still was not cleaned. One robe was offered even though the reservation was made for two guests.

Two complimentary water were provided for being SPG members. However I don't know if this is replenished daily since housekeeping did not come. Microwave can be requested to be brought to the room but also available on the first floor. The bathroom is roomy and I enjoyed the shower, very nicely done.

When entering the lobby...turn to the right for a ramp if you have a rolling suitcase. The same ramp also continues to the elevator. Like most hotels this access is somewhat hidden I suppose for aesthetics reasoning.
