Had a beautiful view of the city from the "Top of the East" lounge. Great service and food. Comfortable seating to just relax and take in the sites.

We stayed on the 12th floor for SPG members, I loved the view and the rooms are not bad. The queen beds were more like Full size. The location was very ideal to go to the harbor and for south Portland. No free parking. metered street parking was easy to find.
The rooms are beautiful and clean. The view from the 15th floor bar was breathtaking. Highly recommend
Rooms were clean, great staff, parking available nearby and plenty to do in the area.
Stayed here during the weekend of the Maine Lighthouse Ride. The hotel was a perfect location for the several activities planned by the Team In Training. Very friendly staff; very nice rooms. Convenient, within walking distance, to many places on Congress and Commerce Streets.
Chill. Kinda far from most stuff. I get the sense it's a better hotel tho. Solid trade. Walkable to the cool stuff still so no foul.
Paid almost $300 dollars a night for a weekend stay and this place, spent money in the lounge, paid to eat at their restaurants and this place still has the audacity to charge its guests $34 dollars a night for parking? Not a holiday weekend, no events happening in the area, and they have a parking garage on site. I've been a guest at several Westin locations across the country and they at least have the common sense to comp their customers parking as a simple thank you for staying at the hotel and spending money on site for extra services. Unbelievable.
Fantastic experience from a Portland native. The door man was a hoot and very professional. Did his job with a smile. Our server was very attentive to our requests, even though we were sitting next to the kitchen doors. Loved it. What a difference from a year ago. Well done.
I unfortunately had the displeasure of staying here for a night this past weekend. Let me preface by saying that I spent about $300 for my room. I received a cheap motel quality experience in exchange. A few of the highlights of my stay: three minutes after arriving at my room, the first towel I tried to use was stained brown from prior use. The exterior comforter also had dirt stains. Instead of moving me to a different (hopefully cleaner) room, I received a "fresh" set of towels instead. There was only one bathrobe despite the reservation being for two. No complimentary drinking water. And to top it off, my credit card was charged $10 despite neither requesting or using their WiFi.
DO NOT make the same mistake I made. This place will charge you an arm and a leg, fail to meet basic standards of cleanliness, and have the gall to nickel and dime you on top of that. Westin should be embarrassed.
Love staying here! Staff is very friendly and it's a convenient location in Portland so you can park in their garage and walk most everywhere else!
Wait staff was attentive and courteous. View was spectacular!!!!
I had a minor issue with the tub not draining and the room not being serviced and it was likely just due to a communication error, but after bringing it to the hotel's attention, they addressed it, and compensated us with a small box of chocolates and refunded our parking fee.
Both Elizabeth and Becky were exceptional in their customer service and follow up with me. The fact that they did a little something to "make it right" went light years with me. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend the hotel to anyone.
The Westin is conveniently placed in downtown Portland. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, shower is awesome and the front desk is friendly. The hotel has a nice rooftop bar open at 5pm which has amazing views. I recommend this hotel for a couple or family.
Expensive ok rooms. It's in the Hart of Portland if that's worth it to you
Not what I expected for such an expensive hotel. You would be paying for the location only. 2 bedroom was clean and the shower head was detachable which is plus.
I was there for an all day business meeting. The conference rooms were conference rooms. Nothing special. The food was very good. The staff was attentive.
Wonderful stay. Clean room, comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Wish I could stay at a Westin every time I traveled. Would recommend
Top of the East lounge is fantastic! And the hotel is 1st class all the way.
Friendly service, clean rooms, nice location and relatively close to the downtown area.
Nice hotel...great location...Nice views...Room service (meals) is very slow.
They did a nice job with the remodel. It's not the same old historic place but it's a swanky, funky ole place with some euro charm.
Very nice service. The entire night was perfect, thanks to the employees and cleanliness of everything.
Recently re-opened after extensive renovations, this is an excellent hotel option in Portland, Me. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this hotel. EVERY member of the staff here displayed a high level of friendliness, professionalism, and genuine interest in their guests experience that makes you feel welcome and cared for from the moment you walk in the door.
Stayed in room 926, very nice and clean room. Hotel was very easy to navigate through and workers were helpful. I could hear through the walls a couple times, but not too bad. Overall very satisfied.
Great location and most things are easily walkable from here. Parking is at the garage next door which is like $26/day but with the hotel key you can come and go as you please. I feel like parking should be included but it's probably not entirely in their hands since they don't own the garage. Didn't try any of the food here so I can't speak to any of that.
Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing service. We will be back!!!!
The time I spent here was very accommodating. From good service from the staff and the outstanding shuddle service. Had a great time and awesome location.
Dessert was delicious! So much so we couldn't stop until the plate was clean
The conference/ball room we were in was divided in half and very crowded. The room where lunch was served was also very crowded. Some larger spaces would have been much more comfortable.
Pleasant views and comfortable beds made for a relaxing stay.
Affordable luxury and very professional and helpful staff!
A coworker and I went to the Top of the East for drinks and an app. The pretzels were delicious, but a bit overpriced for the amount served. The server was very nice, but confused Creme de Yevette with Creme de Violette which made for an interesting Avation cocktail. Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning! It's just more of a splurge/special occasion kind of place for me.
Very good hotel and facilities were very modern, right in the heart of portland it was great
Paid for king sized bed but got two full sized. Air conditioning rattled loudly.
Always a wonderful night of sleep. Very comfy beds.
Professional staff. Renovated facility. Would recommend.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, clean room, great view, and perfect location
The room was ready when we arrived. It was clean and exactly what we expected. The staff was great. We asked for a late check-out and the staff accommodated! The location is very convenient. We chose to park at the garage next door and walk to the Westin. It is a short walk and if you can manage it more affordable than valet parking.
Nice hotel, but housekeeping needs to be trained that not everyone gets up by 9:00 am on a Sunday morning. Keep it down!
Went here for drinks during a bachelorette. Great views and drinks!
Superb inside, great views from 14th floor and a short walk from the harbor.
A couple days ago, I took my girlfriend on our first getaway after a particularly stressful semester of college. While the hotel location is indeed convenient, I was not impressed with the hotel itself. I was too embarrassed to complain and take pictures of the transgressions in front of her, but I do feel the need to write out some complaints.
I ended paying a comparatively steep price for what felt like a motel room. I chose to have street view, which, from an angle, was really nice; however, I pity anybody who has the misfortune of also facing the adjacent parking garage. The lights emitting from the parking garage are tantamount to spotlights I probably could have worked on my tan if I pressed myself against the window. Fortunately, the room has very effective, light-blocking curtains, but it s unfortunate that I couldn t enjoy the view without being blinded.
The bathroom had an array of problems. There was noticeable mold in the shower, concerning white and brown stains on the wall across from the toilet, and the single bathrobe we were supplied with had stains on it, as well.
Furthermore, for anybody under the impression that parking is included: it s not. Utilizing the parking garage is an additional $26 fee. I wish this was made clear upon booking the room. The nickel and diming was made further apparent from how even the two water bottles in the fridge had $3 fees. The wifi apparently has a fee as well, which is ridiculous.
Upon paying my parking fee at checkout, I was instructed to scan my room key in the parking garage upon driving out to raise the gate. I was met with a message on the monitor that my room key had expired, with the gate remaining shut a final inconvenience. Luckily, we were able to contact an attendant. She was super sweet and very helpful I wish I made note of her name, but whoever the hotel has working in that area of the garage, she s wonderful.
I am just amazed by the quality compared to the cost for this hotel. I could have paid half the price elsewhere for an equal or better experience. Unless you re comfortable paying purely for the downtown location (and the admittedly comfortable bed), then I suggest you pursue other options.
The new upgrade in the bar on the top of the hotel is fabulous. The View has improved as well as the food and the atmosphere. We had a great time
We had our NAVHDA Annual Meeting there with over 300 people, and it came together like a well oiled machine. The staff was above board making every issue non existent. They went over and above what was expected! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The staff was great. Rooms very updated, clean, and beds were super comfortable. Great location and we were able to walk to everything.
Just went for a work event. The room used for the party was large and beautiful. Hotel lobby was decorative and stylish.
I visited to meet friends who stayed there. Doorman was helpful with directions to a local restaurant. Bathroom was clean and pleasant. Location is central to lots of great activities and restaurants in Portland.
Clean and stylish hotel, they didn't upgrade me to the suite I originally requested, but they fixed that. Breakfast is good.
Great place to stay at and explore the city. Shuttle service is the best.
Good so far. Shower head does have dust on top of it but can't really complain otherwise. Nice location.
Four stars for a renovation in Portland that was long overdue, and for the highest seat on high street. Great view, and great location demanding the prices you might expect of a Westin.
The Westin did a great renovation of this historic building in the middle of Portland's Art District. It is close to shopping and food in the neighborhood as well as the Old Port. I've never stayed at the hotel, but have gone to many events and have never been disappointed. I'm taking away one star because some of the interior design finishes are already dated.
Nice hotel. Great top floor view. Would stay here again.
Inside the Westin hotel was a very good experience. While the hotel appears older on the outside, my room and the hotel itself had an updated feel. Most important to me was this Westin s policy to allow pets without charging a fee - this is smart business on their behalf and much appreciated. I also found the staff to be very professional and friendly.
There is a downside to this hotel that is beyond the hotel s control but relates to location. Next to the hotel is the Congress Square Park which predominantly serves the homeless population and I was inundated with requests for contributions every time I left the hotel. Worse, the car next to mine parked inside the hotel contracted garage was broken into and the glass sprayed all over my car as well. While this may not be an issue for some travelers it is a consideration.
Drinks were great, food was awesome. Great atmosphere!
No maid service, room wasn't available till 5:30. And we are SPG GOLD :(
I was very excited about my trip to Portland and for staying in the Westin. Due to logistics , I had to cancel my reservation within 5 mins of making it ( via Expedia). Knowing the strict rules of expedia about cancellation fees and non-refundable spend, I was very pleasantly surprised that Expedia cancelled my flights with no cost immediately. Their team has been trying to reach the Westin team last 2 days and after repeated calls Westin team has not been cooperative. I completely understand organisation policies ( I am myself in a professional corporate role) but I was completely taken back by the behavior of their guest relations manager - Jennifer. I tried explaining the details to her, she won't let me speak / didn't even understand the problem - I had to literally ask her to let me speak. very shocked to get such a treatment at a WESTIN.
I will not be booking this place ever again. Might lose my money this time around.
If your looking for a place with a great Happy Hour with good food and drinks nice atmosphere it's here.
The place looked great. I, however, was simply passing by
Great room and hotel but took them until after 7pm to have the room ready for our 3pm check in. They did make up for it with vouchers to the bar and for lunch at the c2 restaurant attached to the hotel. We were coming for a wedding on the next day and would have been screwed if we arrived the same day.
We had lunch before leaving the hotel in our last day and I would have been pissed if I paid for it. The restaurant was not very full and took about an hour to bring out a few salads and burgers. The salad was a half stalk of romaine, mostly stalk, and one person had their side if grapes come out "fuzzy".
I go here every time I have a client trip to Portland, and I ve always been satisfied. Beautiful views, lovely staff, cozy bar on the 15th floor, and really nice rooms!
Had an amazing stay and experience here! Staff is kind and accommodating. The gym is PHENOMENAL and in pristine condition. The location is near downtown and walking distance to many small shops and places to eat. No complaints on my end. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Westin in Portland and will return soon.
Three of the four nights the room was not made up until early evening. The fourth night it was not made up at all. Receptionists were rude. Billing is incorrect and no one will return my calls to correct it. The points earned are lost.
The service was great and the rooms were clean, I just did not like the area very much.
I enjoyed the free WIFI also, some hotles charge you 15$ a day...
Overall clean hotel. Main issues that I had: one of my towels had a brown stain on it, the rooms don t have microwaves, there aren t enough hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels, the windows are super drafty, and the bathrooms don t have good ventilation, so by the time you re done showering, the mirror is completely fogged up.
Luxury hotel. They don't seem to have king bed rooms - each room is two full beds apparently.
Beautiful and clean.
Gorgeous views and excellent, friendly staff.
