Checked in on 12/31 and was not acknowledge as a bonvoy gold member as I usually am at other properties. Was not offered an upgraded room, and when I got to my room had a view of the top of the entrance area to the hotel. I get you didn t have any upgrades but a roof view for a gold? Little rough. The room was spacious, and the bed as usual was heavenly. But there were several issues here as well. Found gum stuck to the carpet in the room, is that sanitary? Had a dirty glass in the bathroom which resulted in me using the plastic cups. Have photos of both the gum and glass. Went to order room service around 9pm and the phone would not work. Tried for 10 minutes and ultimately called the front desk from my mobile. Not the level of cleanliness or service I expect from a Westin. Tried reaching out to Marriott and they said a manager would contact me within 24 hours, but I ve yet to hear anything. Ever since the merger Westin s have gone downhill. Marriott doesn t seem to care about loyalty or service either. I hope maybe now I ll hear from someone to resolve this issue after waiting 3 days for a manager. Do not recommend if you re expecting Westin service like it used to be.
