Went for #SSP2018 and they over booked people so my group of ladies had to be split up because they had to comp a room up the hall from the other room. Was not thrilled with the preparation after waiting 45 min to reserve a room a month prior and then to have to argue with the front desk about what was reserved and paid for.

We stayed 5 nights. Our suite was perfect and the housekeeping staff kept it very clean and tidy. The setting was terrific with great views, quiet and a lovely walk path. One thing we noticed was the outside patio and sitting area could have used a few more servers to pick up the used glasses, plates, etc. That's why the 4 instead of 5 stars. The Flying V restaurant was so-so. Food was just ok, service was mediocre. The Spa was wonderful! The manager provided an excellent solution to some scheduling problems and we (me, 2 adult daughters) enjoyed our services immensely. Overall, we would definitely go back. Also - the valet staff were exceptional, the servers were very good, and the concierge was excellent.

Y'all should put some misters outside, it's hotter than hell in this state and you have outdoor seating for guests. But the staff and food is excellent and everything is very clean, been there twice now with my family

Beautiful, scenic, nice variety of food in the restaurants. Beautiful clean pool with food and bar service available. Tennis courts, lush golf course, hiking trails and stargazing at night with a physics professor from UA. Something for everyone. We were very pleased!

Reserved room via hotwire for 1 night. The suite was spacious and nicely decorated. The bath tub was the biggest I've ever seen, that said it took quite awhile to fill up. The shower head didn't really fit with the tub and there was only 1 door, so it took some adjustment to catch all the splashes. The fridge in the room constantly was running due to not having enough ventilation. The couch was hard and not really comfortable but the bed was firm and the duvet fluffy and heavy. Service and employees throughout were nice and friendly, beyond the bar waitresses. It was a Saturday night and slightly busy but we had to flag down the server several times. There is an outside sitting area but only 2 fire pits, so hopefully you can grab one of those. The pool was nice and heated but the hot tub could have been hotter. The trail was well maintained, they turn off the waterfall presumedly after sunset as it was off around 10pm. They have a tortoise enclosure and right next to it a ping pong table, really not a great idea as it is easy to lose a ball and from talking to pool staff, that happens frequently.

Nice location for a conference. Nature walk was enjoyable. My wife had a negative experience at the buffet where she was told it was closed, with hours left in the posted time. It was reopened for her , with a negative attitude. The gym facilities are awesome.

I love this place! While their spa could have like decadent details like skin oil and hair smoothers, and the creme brulee isn't as smooth as I would hope, in general it is utterly *delightful* for a weekend holiday! The rooms are nicely-appointed (and there was even one piece of art with which I'm completely in love [being unable to take off my artist hat, it's basically impossible to avoid being affected by the pieces around you, and it's a joy when you find one that pulls you into another beautiful world] in the room!), the staff prompt and friendly, and the views glorious! Plus, the trailhead for Ventana Canyon is right there! I haven't been to their Sunday brunch in forever, but if it's unchanged that was detectable. I'll have to revisit!

The hotel is charming and I have enjoyed my stay thus far. A couple of minor issues have come up since my stay. First, I was accidently overcharged around 10 times what the hold was supposed to be for incidentals, but that was resolved relatively quickly. Second, I was told I would have a room with a balcony, but found out my room is facing the parking lot which is higher than the outdoor patio that I was told was a balcony. To be a balcony is needs to be higher than the ground and overlooking something. That was the most disappointing. Finally, today at lunch, I had an extremely dirt my water glass served to me, but that is fairly excusable. Still relatively pleased with my stay, but hopefully nothing else occurs the next four days while I am here at the resort.

Beautiful resort, a great getaway. I came here for a conference and enjoyed every minute of it. The pool provides a nice cool down during the day, and there are a few trails on the property that are short and fun to check it nature. Be careful at night, I have seen snakes and my first gila monster close to a trail! The food is a bit expensive, if you are staying awhile I recommend going to bashes or whole foods ( a bit further away) to stock up on snacks meals and/or drinks

Downgraded review. Third time I've been here and probably the last. Checking in is always a hassle. Rooms are always a mile away from the lobby and are rarely ready even late afternoon. Forget about getting the king bed you wanted. Apparently they don't exist. The two queen beds in the room we received are actually doubles, but we're so far from check in that it's not worth asking for another room. Parking generally stinks and there are many other easier to stay at resorts in the area. On a positive note, the staff is extremely pleasant.

Great Resort. Great value for the money. Only downside I would say is coming from San Francisco with such a quality food experience, some things were not amazing in terms of what they served. For example the Moscow Mule was shaking from a bottle at the pool and cost $15. Over the rooms beautiful the stuff is super polite and it's a great space to just unwind

We had an excellent time. There were plenty of good restaurants near by. Was disappointed the hiking trail was closed, bbt i guess that was due to a fire that occurred nearby. Pool was excellent and the rooms were great.

We ve had several work Christmas parties in their ballroom, and it has always been a blast. The atmosphere is perfect for an elegant night. It s fun to dress up every once in a while and this is the place to do it!

This resort was absolutely wonderful, we couldn't have asked for anything more in terms of service, accommodations and food! The room was beautiful and we were upgraded for a small charge. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, we especially enjoyed chatting with the bell man, Peter. The food and drinks from the pool grill were outstanding. We had great pizza and wings in the cozy lounge. We will definitely be staying here in the future!!

As vacationing parents of an autistic child, we had an opportunity to spend some quiet time for ourselves while our child was being cared for back home. We were looking for a resort location that would allow us with the opportunity to reconnect with nature, while experiencing peace and tranquillity. The Loews Ventana Canyon Resort provided just that. Ultra clean rooms, impeccably clean grounds and trails, and delicious world class dining experiences, were all afforded to us as guests of this wonderful resort in Tuscon, Arizona. We were so blown away by the wonderful staff and amazing accommodations, that we are already planning our next two visits in 2019. I can't wait to return back to our new home away from home. Congratulations Loews Hotels! You are truly the essence of a Five Diamond Resort Experience!

This is a beautiful rustic style hotel. The room was very spacey, we had a lounge area and a terrace with a great view! The Sunday brunch was spectacular, I recommend it greatly there s all kinds of baked goods, sea food (cocktail shrimp, oysters) and an amazing barbecue area! I loved the hotels amenities, the tennis courts are great and a beautiful gold course. We specially enjoyed the Serenity pool as it is an adult only plus there are snacks and drinks available. We really enjoyed our stay, staff are very attentive!

We are at the Flying V, and were very pleased. The tableside guacamole blew me away, and all of he house specials were fantastic, as were the margaritas. Don't expect a cheap bill, but it is a great spot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Loews! The hospitality from entering the lobby, to checking in and out was great. The room was really comfortable and bed was nice. I had forgotten something back in my room and after inquiring they promptly mailed it to me within a few days without charge. They even included a kind little note to thank me for the stay. I highly recommend this resort.

Fabulous resort. Nice rooms, but the very short and easy walk to the amazing waterfall is simply breathtaking!!! Loved staying here and wandering the premises. Worth a short trip from phx.

I have to start by saying absolutely beautiful hotel clean rooms and wonderful ambience. But very unfortunately things kind of went down hill from there. With a line of 3 people total waiting to check in and 1 employee working it took almost 20min to check in. Finally in our room we decided to go have a few drink at the bar (that was fairly busy) we sat down at the only open table right by the waitress station waiting almost 30mins for someone to acknowledge us and brought us water. After another 10mins I decide to just go up to the bar and get our 1st round of drinks. Long story short, we sat there and enjoyed 4 rounds of drinks over the next 2 hours and not a single employee asked us for refills of our adult beverages or even bothered to ask if we needed anything at all. When I plan on spending the enormous amount of money like I did for a resort experience I guess I just expect more! Disappointing to say the least.

Fluffiest bed ever... like you're sleeping in a cloud! Really beautiful hotel and grounds. Older and the landscaping is mature... posting my photo of my upgraded Mountain view... hahaha!

The brunch is delicious. They have ribs, sirloin, omelets, oysters, shrimp and delicious desserts like pies, cookies, tres lechos cake, and more. The best part is their unlimited mimosas! After eating you can walk on their trails and there is even a waterfall!

Not as nice as I would have expected for the reviews and ratings. Room overlooked a rooftop and parking lot and was nice but not "real nice". Ordered room service and got a $23 burnt grilled cheese for my daughter but she was too hungry to bother sending it back. Grounds were nice but otherwise not so fancy as expected for $300+ a night

Went to the Ventana Canyon trail. Didn't stay at the resort (which is beautiful). The trail is an intermediate hike. There are plenty of rocks, and the scenery is gorgeous. Will definitely go again.

This was my first visit to Loews Ventana Canyon and it was a great experience. The property is gorgeous, and the staff is friendly and professional. We only stayed overnight but got to enjoy the pool, hot tub, fire pit, and got to do the short hike up (about .25 miles from the pool) to the waterfall and it was gorgeous. Great benefits with the FHR from the Amex Platinum card, and very reasonable rates during the summer. Overall a great experience.

Amazing place! Has so much to do right here at the resort! From walks with the pups, swimming tennis and even a restaurant that smells amazing! Really nice rooms and are pup friendly! They really make you feel at home!

Love this place. Great location. Surrounded by the mountains. So much fun to try feeding the koi fish so the catfish don't get the bread first. Even more difficult to try to toss the bread pieces to the 3 turtles that are there as well. Treat yourself to a massage! Love the food at the Flying V. A must try is the guacamole-it's prepared tableside!
