Montage Laguna Beach Review

Great sunsets, tasty food and good service that comes at a matching price. Only parking option is valet at $15 with validation from the restaurant.

The studio is the closest thing we have to a michelin star restaurant in Orange County.

This place is amazing. The views are amazing... Front view of the ocean. Food is good, and the staff was great. Definitely on the expensive side. Had an awesome lunch there.

The Montage is pure opulence. The staff goes it off their way to ensure you have a great stay and experience. However, while the resort is magnificent, the house keeping can afford to be more attentive: we had dirt and hair on fixtures in the bathroom and the Nespresso didn't work, but you just can't best the view.

We love this place and we will be back! Breath taking views! The food is very, very expensive! A salate will cost you $40, at least, valet $25, but is worth it. we celebrated my sister bday and was lots of Fun!

My husband and I were recently visiting California with his sister and family and we were down by the beach by the montage resort. My husband was playing in the ocean with our 2 year old when he was stung by a sting ray. He was in a ton of pain and a lady at the beach Said he needed to get his foot in hot water for pain relief and to deactivate the venom. She said that the montage would for sure get him some hot water. My husband and his sister went up there and they said they would get him some hot water right away. My husband was in so much pain that he put his foot in the hot tub. His foot had stopped bleeding at this point and it was only a small puncture wound. A half hour later they came back without any water and they knew now that they were not guests at the hotel. They told him he needed to get out of the hot tub. They said they would not get him hot water because it was a liability, and that if they were going to be on the property at all then they needed to be on the grass outside. Meanwhile I m down at the beach with my 3 month old, a two year old, and my 4 year old and 2 year old niece. We had to pack up as quick as we could and get the sand off the kids so that we could drive to an urgent care. We would have done this sooner, but the people at the montage said they would help us out.... 45 minutes later we still don t have hot water. My husband was crying because he was in so much pain. The hot water at the urgent care we went to was an immediate relief. If you don t take care of it with hot water to deactivate the venom it will cause tissue necrosis and bacterial infection which could require hospitalization. My friend said that when he got stung he went to Denny s and they gave him a tub of hot water. Kind of sad that Denny s is more accommodating than the montage... all because we weren t guests. I m very disappointed and if I ever did have the money to stay there I wouldn t.

Beautiful Laguna Beach resort with government park right on the cliff and maintenance is done by the Montage resort and hotel. A lot of weddings and social as well as business function are taken place here on the front lawn facing the Pacific Ocean. Could not ask for nicer weather year round. The only thing plagued this beautiful resort is occasionally, transient homeless either sleeping on Treasure Island Park lawn or using the facility restroom to wash up!

Just went to take a walk around the grounds. So beautiful and full of great views. Also got to see the pool and lobby, wow.

Great food and spectacular views of the oceanfront. The grounds are well kept and the beach was not too crowded. Highly recommended.

Service has gone down Hill. Very pricy. $30-50. For one glass of wine. ice tea 13.00.

My review is only based off of the location and building design. This hotel is right next to the water. It's great for those that want an ocean view. The grounds were well kept and the hotel itself looked great. The few employees I ran into were very nice.

Top notch resort. Some rooms definitely better than others though. Ask for alternate if you get one on path in front of high traffic area.

Restaurants are at perfect location right near to beach, but the host sent is away as we were not in a proper attire, in sports shoes

The experience we had at the Montage Laguna Beach was amazing. The resort and the setting are so beautiful, and the service is the best you can imagine. Special thanks to Cody in the men's spa. My husband very much enjoyed the amenities in the spa, and noted several times how Cody was so incredibly helpful and professional. We both highly recommend this awesome resort.

We come here for brunch at The Loft almost every weekend. Top shelf service, beautiful vistas and clean elegant decor. Try the chile verde dish AWESOME.

I've interacted with the staff many times and their stellar reputation is well deserved. This property overlooks one of the most beautiful ocean treasures I've ever experienced. If you have the opportunity to stay at the Montage, you're a very lucky person, but if not, don't let that stop you from enjoying the beach, tidal pools, and breathtaking views. I recommend stopping over at the grocery store, getting some fruit, cheese, and maybe a nice coffee first. Then, walk over and sit on the rocks while eating like royalty as the sun drops. Can't beat it! Enjoy :)

Absolutely amazing! One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I had no bad experiences. The room was always spotless and the pool especially was immaculate and beautiful. The service for the cars and the food and the rooms was also very very nice. I would stay again in a heartbeat, and the setting on the beach was perfect.

Fantastic resort. Elegant setting, excellent service, fantastic pool. Only minor complaint is that the walls are thin (I could hear conversations from room next door word for word)

One of my favorite hotels anywhere! Was a bummer that the lobby bar was closed, but looking forward to seeing results of the renovation.

My girlfriend and I ate at the Loft. The fillet mignon is always delicious and the lamb chops are as well. One of our favorite places to have a nice dinner.

A great place to go snorkeling! The hotel is beautiful, and very expensive, but access to the beach and cove is free.

Nice, Quiet, Quaint place to stay near the beach and friendly people too!

We had a nightcap in the lounge by the fireplace. The hotel and the grounds are amazing. The staff is extremely courteous and genuinely friendly. They are empowered to go the extra mile to make any trip special regardless of whether or not you're staying at the resort. There wasn't any popcorn but with the current state of the world that is understandable.

Beautiful amazing relaxing place! Very warming and everyone is friendly and great hospitality! The beach is amazing and top view makes it even more amazing you gotta stay at hotel to really enjoy and amazing place!

Didn't stay here, wouldn't if I had the money. Looks like a hermetically sealed space station with the occasional WASP wedding headed briefly outdoors to take a quick gasp of ocean air before rushing back inside to dance to some Jack Johnson . Another case of opportunistic investment groups doing math and taking over huge beautiful areas to make millions regardless of what used to be there. Even though they had to agree to a commoners pathway to the beach, it's a long freakin' walk to a crowded beach.

The montage is a beautiful oceanfront resort in Laguna Beach. The beach front overlooks the ocean and has the best sunset view in Southern California. The beach is open to the public, and has great picnic areas. It's great for a romantic stroll late at night with ambient lighting.

Had lunch at Mozaic and sat out on the patio with views of the ocean. View alone is worth it but their food was delicious!!
