We stayed here on our wedding night, so I was most disappointed that they didn't do anything special after I made a note in my booking and my mother mentioned when she dropped off our bags and checked us in. The room was nice; the bathroom had a really nice shower. There was a good variety at the buffet breakfast. All in all, a nice stay.

We love staying at Tween Waters but miss the free Continental breakfast and coffee. You can't beat the view and proximity of the beach front cottage. They could use some new bedding and a bit of updating but the view more than makes up for it. Great job on the pool renovation. We have been going every year for the past 11 years and always look forward to our stay at Tween Waters.

It was ok. There was no hot water on the last morning that we stayed. They told us that because they have maintenance on staff we should have called and they would have come to fix it. They did not reimburse us in any way and just said sorry. First and last time staying there.

First and foremost, you would have a difficult time finding a better location. The bay is on one side and their private beach is on the other. This is the main reason for staying at a resort like this. Plenty of activities for all ages. The public areas were for the most part clean. We did experience some noise and debris from maintenance the first day. Having lived in this climate for many years I know what the rain and salt air can do to buildings. After all, maintenance is better than disrepair any day. The staff did try to minimize the impact of it on our vacation. The room was about what you would expect at a resort of this type. It was clean and comfortable. The room appeared to have been renovated recently, but the bathroom still had some minor issues with the shower. I would suggest a broom or small vacuum to help with the sand between house keeping's visits. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I think we would book here again.

We have a great time every visit to Tween Waters! The room renovations being complete just add to the experience. Breakfast, the pool, the staff, and of course the beach were incredible as always. Proximity to Captiva restaurants is perfect - we love to walk down each evening. After a number of visits, we still can't get over how much space you can have on the beach, too. Can't recommend highly enough!

The rooms are nice but nothing special, nice views. The bathrooms are nice but the shower needs a better shower head, very weak.
Had a problem with the next room over on the first night (drug use) the management made no attempt to fix it and were rude and said it was legal.(it's not) At 355$ per night it's over priced everything is expensive.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We rented kayaks from the tween Waters inn. The staff was very helpful and the rates were more than reasonable. After kayaking we were able to walk the beach in the gulf Waters as well. Great spot.

We stay first week of june 2013.we stayed at the hotel on the third floor which was a mistake because there is no elevator. The thing is when we made reservation we asked that very thing. "Is there an elevator to the third floor?" And they said "YES THERE IS". A total lie. Next our kids came to visit for an afternoon to go to the beach. Unfortunately it was raining. That is no ones fault. Only then the kids wanted to check out the gym. When they attempted to enter the gym with the electronic room key it failed to allow them entry. At that point they walked to the office to find out how to gain entry to the gym . The clerk at the office then told them to wait a moment and he would give them electronic key to gain entry to gym door .a few moments past a they got there keys to the gym . They then walked to the gym ,opened the door, looked around and left without working out.. Only at checkout time did we find out that those gym keys cost an extra 80 dollars. The kids were not informed of the cost of the gym keys at the time. When we complained during check out time. We received a big "SORRY THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO" and was sent on our way.. We are not rich people and this trip cost us a lot of money that we spent a long time saving. And felt completely Ripped off. My wife has a hard time walking and especially climbing stairs and when we asked for a room on a lower floor, because of the lack of elevators. The office told us that they could put us on the first floor. for a considerably higher price. So we opted to stay on the third floor and take our time climbing up and down from the third floor. We felt mistreated and will never visit again.

Never Again. Why to have lunch by the pool. The receptionist with German accent refused to tell us where the pool was until we paid to park. We said fine, we will do that. She said she wanted $50.00 to park for one hour to have lunch. Tried to explain we just want to have lunch, not stay for 24 hours. She repeated in a rude tone "$50.00 or you will be towed. There were tons of empty spaces. We asked another person we saw parking and they said they never heard that before. Take my suggestion, go north a mile to the Mucky Duck. Free parking, fabulous service Ave friendly

From the owner Tony to the housekeeper Lourdes - the best hospitality staff. The beach view is amazing. The pool was always clean and refreshing. The food at the pool was delicious as was the Crows Nest dinners. There is FREE bike rental (they even have helmets), kayaking, tennis(they supply the racquets and balls), a gyn for exercise, they supply the seashell collecting bags (the beach is right there), and the list of things to do is endless. We bird, dolphin and manatee watched. The trip went so fast and we eere so sad to leave. The staff from the top and all the way across the board was phenomenal. I met so many wonderful people from across the US and even Germany! There is simply no reason not to go to this wonderful quiet resort and when you do say hi to Barry at the dock for me!

Room was nice. Would have saved money booking directly, rather than through 3rd party booking site. Nice site and accommodations except building lacked elevator, which made access to 3rd floor room quite arduous for a disabled member of party.

In the past I've given much better reviews and this one is not really bad, it's just not as good as our previous visits. We found the staff is not as knowledgeable of the property outside their particular area and not interested in it. While the food is still awesome, be careful when ordering. We found the actual dish did not reflect what was listed on the menu, the dish is less & the price is the same. The coupon book is not really very compelling, we appreciated the previous day pass coupons much more.

Great selection of menu items. The Filet Steak was one of the best I have ever had! I know that Florida is famous for sea food, but I'm so glad I had that steak . Newly renovated and what a great job.

On our Florida tour in May 2015, we spontaneously decided to stay here for two days. Very friendly check-in. The room on the 1st floor was a dance hall (almost). The decor a bit old-fashioned - American style. Otherwise clean. The bathroom is modern. Separate bedroom. Kitchenette and large fridge. We felt very comfortable, because the location of the hotel was terrific. That should probably justify the very high prices.

Great trip for our 10th anniversary. It was a challenge to find a vacation spot where we could enjoy ourselves and still feel safe while in the middle of a pandemic, but 'Tween Waters delivered. We stayed in a private cottage with a kitchenette which was great. We enjoyed the use of complimentary kayaks and bikes, as well as the resort pools and restaurants. I would highly recommend!

Just spent four days at Tween Waters in a suite facing the bay. It was a great time with friendly and helpful staff. A bit pricey but a time well had. Their was only one black cloud of the trip and we were not alone, as our friends and others we met on the trip had the same negative experience with the jet ski rental guy. This guy could not be any more unprofessional or rude. He wasn t the least bit helpful when you asked him a question or for help. He all but made fun of you if you asked him anything and made it clear that you shouldn t be bothering him. He had a woman with him on my first negative experience so he was probably trying to show off. Made a fool out of himself if you ask me. My nephew asked him about a parking space and whether it was ok for him to park there and this guy told him it s not his job to park people and blew him off. This guy is the last person I would have interacting with customers. Unprofessional, unkept, rude, sarcastic, and not in the business of customer service. Would have been a five star review without that guy. Photo is our view from our room.

When we arrived at Tweenwaters, we're weren't expecting much and when we went to find our room, we were even less impressed. The man lead us to our "dorm" and said to take the elevator with our suitcases and then he left. The elevator was broken, and a passerby (another guest) said it had been broken for days. I'm a 100lb female and my grandparents are not able to carry much due to their health. When went to the front desk to inquire about the elevators, they claimed they had no idea they were broken, but said they could get us a single cabin for a "deal", $75 more per night (which is just the difference of what we were paying between the hotel room and the cabin). Not very impressive and left us hoping we would survive our stay there. Other than that, we really had no problems and ended up enjoying our stay and our cabin. The restaurants are good, but the service is slow and the waiters just disappear and then come back when it's time for the check. Management seems to be lacking, but overall we did have a good time here. Paddle board lessons were awesome and pretty cheap (they are not given BY Tweenwaters, but they are on site). A solid 3--4 stars.

This place was perfect! We have been coming to the island once a year for three years and we finally found a place that we will 100% return to year after year. I love that everything is walking distance - the pool(s), the gym, the spa, the marina, there is no need for a golf cart rental. Also stoked that there was no huge resort fee and they don t hold a $$$ amount on your credit card expecting that you ll spend x-amount on the property. If you want to charge stuff to your room, you can do that, or pay cash. The staff were all super friendly. Bikes and kayaks are FREE! A beautiful walk to the marina to grab a FREE coffee and watch the sunrise every morning was awesome. The beach acesss across the street was wonderful with chairs and/or cabanas for a minimal charge. Fortunately red tide was pretty much gone while we were here. I hope that it continues to stay gone! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. See ya next year.

Perfect location, rooms could use some updates. Had some issues with air conditioning and bathtub but quickly fixed by staff. Very helpful staff. Pool was nice. Beach was beautiful!

The facilities in this place is totally and utterly unacceptable.
I hope this my comments help to make this special place live up to it's status. The location and the views are amazing in the resort. The rest is downhill from there. There is construction going on everywhere, the parking spots are unrecognizable, soil is eroding in places. The most agregious was the rooms. The beds seems clunky, making noises with every move. In the balcony I can see noticeable mold and mildew in the cracks, I found a cockroach under the sink and mud in the bathtub. This is utterly unacceptable.

I absolutely love 'Tween Waters!! I won't go anywhere on Captiva. The pool bar drinks are to die for and the private beach access right across the street is unmatched. My dog loves their beach too (:
