My family and I spent a wonderful day at Tween Waters Inn enjoying the breathtaking beach views on the Gulf and enjoying time at the pool. The staff made us feel like VIP and the meals were very tasty! It was such a memorable and enjoyable time for all of us. I was glad to host a family friend from out of state during our visit as well. She is already telling her friends back home about the gorgeous views!

I haven't officially stayed on Tween Waters but my stay was going to be during the weekend that Hurricane Dorian is to make landfall in Florida. The conditions from Expedia stated that the Hotel had a cancellation fee, that, in my case, would be the equivalent of a 1-night stay. I called the hotel and asked about the cancellation and they completely waived the fee, something that they were not required and that other locations that I stayed didn't do even on scenarios that were out of my control.

For this, I will give it 5 stars. It requires integrity and concern of its clients to do what is right. I haven't stayed at the hotel this weekend but I'm already preparing a stay for the end of the month.

For Lisa and the Reservation teams at Tween Waters, thank you very much.

Stayed in Marina, New finger docks. Lovely resort, new pools, including one just for quiet with no screaming kids or loud noises. Easy walk across the street to one of the best beaches in Florida. Pet friendly too, dogs are allowed on the beach! Manatees were seen in the intercoastal waterway right in the resort.

We had a wonderful week at Tween Waters with our kids aged 11, 9 and 6. Its location is ideal on a narrow stretch of Captiva Island between the bay and the Gulf, allowing maximum access to different kinds of the natural beauty, wildlife (beneath and above the water), the water itself and the activities on each side. There is an abundance of Tween-Waters-operated and private operators of activities right on the site (kayaking, paddle boarding, para-sailing, etc) and the easy access to Buck's Island mangroves, the osprey nests above the resort, the many visiting species of wading birds, and the dolphins, fish and manatees that visit the harbor make for even more interesting nature enjoyment. The thriving boat docks on the bay side of the Resort add to the pleasure and variety of the experience. The rooms and facilities (such as pools and games) in the resort were very good. Compact and lush grounds. The restaurants decent. The staff were all friendly and hard working. Thank you, Tween Waters!

I come here frequently and gatto say I am a bit disappointed they have restaurant AND breakfast closed down for renovation. Makes it less charming and more of a pain to go find food on the island and pay . Other than that I love it here

Resort with reasonable hotel rates and adorable cottages, two restaurants, poolside bar, cafe and coffee/smoothie shop, marina, bycycles, kayaks, guided nature walks, fishing, boat rental, shelling trips, gift shop, beach front on the gulf of Mexico. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations. Have already booked a return trip for the holidays!

Stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time! Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The fishing was great! Highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

Very luxurious resort. Was here over my birthday in December. It was a great relaxing time. Just what I needed. The restaurant is a bit pricey and so is the coffee shop. I was disappointed that the hot tubs weren't operating but that's just during part of their upgrades.

Awesome spot for a Florida Stay-Cation. Wonderful island resort with a kid friendly pool deck and outdoor dining. Charming cottages and suites are great for a few day get away. Rooms are a little worn out (Suites), but AC was cold and great bayside views. 5 Star for the overall fun being here. Rooms were a 3.5, but comfortable, clean beds.

Been here many times....I love it in both the Summer and Winter.
I have stayed mostly in the bungalows on the Ocean side and each time was great.

I also stayed 1x in the building facing the ocean which has its own screen porch facing the ocean as well. 3rd floor was great. The unit was recently renovated.

However the bungalows were private and off to the side of the property and more secluded.

The hotel has that old era charm from the 1940's.. Well kept and very friendly.

The surrounding area is very peaceful.

We will be back making it at least our 10th x

if i can give no stars i would.Caught in storm yesterday and had to dock when they were closed.was told to by front dest along with the price of 50 cents a foot.next mor ing i go to pay for a few days and now its 2 somthing a foot, card i have on me is a little low and my studio is like 30 min away, they could care less about you and your safty.I would not recommend this resort.Comunication skill are very unprofessional and they have cause me more issues.if resloved today might change my mind. One very pissed off local

Rented some kayaks and it was a great time! We saw manatee, dolphins, many birds, and even an alligator. Would highly recommend for families, but make sure you bring bug spray. Only issue is that the mangroves within buck key island were supposed to be the main attraction, but they weren't that beautiful.

They were helpful in getting me settled due my disability. Parking by elevator was nice. The room was nice with 2 queen bed, patio relaxing hearing the water lap up the shorline along the bay. The pools were nice and not too cold. The grounds are charming. The little cottages dotting the property add a nice visual. Its very tropical and not cemented in. The upscale restaurant serves delicious food, I had grouper and sister had filet mignon. Salads were tasty and dessert very deep in flavor. I will definitely go back again. I've already told friends. The staff working around property are very nice. Thank you for the very nice short visit.

The hotel and service was great. I was disappointed to find out they did away with their free basic breakfast. Instead of eating (and purchasing a hot breakfast) from the hotel, we went elsewhere. That was the only downfall to our stay.

I love Captiva. This hotel has a wonderful location. Our room was a Suite. The room was nice, and had an enclosed porch overlooking the bay. We saw manatees swimming right under our window. I would stay again. They do need to rethink some of the little things. The rooms are dated, and could use a refresh.

Loved everything about the resort. Great access to the beach and the bay. Manatees are literally feet from the resorts bay side beach. Rooms are clean and spacious, and they have a nice pool area. They where doing some construction, and the new paver pathways look great. They just need to update the bay side buildings outer hallways and it would look great all around. Breakfast is free with the room, but it does not include any hot or cooked items. That is an additional charge. We had a full kitchen, so we grabbed some bagels, coffee, fruit and pastries from the restaurant and cooked up some of our own eggs each morning. It really worked out very well. They have a full marina, and you can charter fishing trips or rent kayaks or paddle boards. They have a nice restaurant and bar, but they are also close to other food and watersport activities. Tip. If you go with family and children, you should stock up on supplies in the Fort Myers area as far as food and sundries as the island is a little limited and more expensive. Great vacation resort with a very good staff. We will hopefully revisit Tween Waters in the near future. Bryan, Gina and Cristian.

Perfect place to stay and explore Sanibel and Captiva islands. They have a private beach and you can borrow umbrellas and towels. The place has a good restaurant and it is also close to local tours.

Great place to relax, enjoy the ocean, great pool, and a nice marina. We spent a long weekend there, brought our own jet skis - had a place to keep them with easy access. Staff was very friendly!

My wife and I after Hurricane Matthew left our home in Palm we decided to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary somewhere on the west coast. After reviewing several locations we selected Tween Waters. Our 3 day stay was just what we needed. Wonderful beach, great location looking over the bay, room was very comfortable, dining area was fantastic and service was just outstanding. Definitely a redo. Much thanks to Jackie and Liz.

Disappointed in room, outdated, smelly and found a huge cockroach in bathroom. Yuck! Was surprised hotel shuttle charges each way go small trips. Most staff has even lively, gel a lack of information and empathy from frotvdesk however. Had a strange now from a man supposedly left outside my front door asking me to call him to hang out, I am traveling alone with my 3 kids and my kids found note! Made us very uneasy so I told front desk. Desk attendant did not act overly concerned, told me if I see anything to let the know... I had to suggest that he tell his security to keep an eye out.

Food has been fine, but there is a fee for everything. Like that beach is right out front.

Everything was just really pretty. The staff and guest were really nice. I asked for a coconut and the staff went out of his way and cut me 3. It's not just 5 five stars. I rate this 20 stars! IN The words of ARNOLD Schwarzenegger. I'LL BE BACK!

I ve never seen a property is such disrepair. The owners should be ashamed at having such a beautiful location, yet letting the rooms/pool area, etc be in such terrible condition. The room we were given smelled moldy, the carpet was ripped and had large dark stains on it. There was visible mildew in the screened porch enclosure. The pool/hot tubs was not maintained. We left immediately and got a refund through Trip Advisor. This place needs a complete overhaul, and it s such a shame because it could really be a great little resort.

Well run. It is hard to fault their management. It is clean and well maintained. There is nothing here to disappoint.

I thought we would fall in love with it, but we didn't. I am not unhappy with anything they did but one stay was enough for me. Thankfully , we are all different. I can imagine that it excites others.
