Very bright paint... Kind of a party hotel. The restaurant dj was so loud it was hard to talk to the server. The pool has a 9-foot deep section, sick is the lone plus from our stay.

I stayed here this weekend and the hotel us really gone down hill. I ve stayed here numerous times and this was awful. The pool was filthy, literally trash was floating in it and food. Around the pool was littered with trash. I ve been here on much busier weekends but they just didn t seem to care and pick up, or to provide any pool towels either day.
Then we went to dinner and came home to a giant cockroach with wings (3 long) just chilling in our room. I called the front desk and had to call again before maintenance finally showed up. They switched us to a different room and were so rude and unapologetic or helpful.
Tried to speak to the manager the next morning to let her know and she literally looked up and said I m really busy you re checked out.
I won t be staying here again.
Fun place for a younger crowd. The entire hotel is built around the pool which is a beautiful upbeat area with a bar and music playing everywhere. Definitely a place to relax with drinks by the pool all day without worrying where you're spending the night since it's a 10 second walk to your room.
During the high traffic weekends, this is a hotel for people who like to socialize. The Saguaro has some of the most entertaining events and if you're staying here, you have to roll with it and come along for the ride. The service is great, the amenities are good, and the staff try their best to accommodate all requests. When they are very busy, you can see the effort although it might be slow-going. Stay here if you're looking to be in the center of where the action is. If you're looking for a quiet place for some R&R, there's plenty of other places in Palm Springs to rest your head.
This hotel is trying hard to look good on Instagram, but the reality of the rooms and facilities is sketchy at best. It's ugly, aging furniture covered in bright paint and plastic, it smells of disinfectant and tired air, the shower in my room didn't work, neither did the iron, after 45 minutes and 3 calls to reception I ended up borrowing one from the nearby room so that I could attend the wedding I was in Palm Springs for! The two stars are for the pool and the service which was often attentive and genuinely friendly.
A fun and vibrant place! It's conveniently located near down town and has great amenities like cruisers, centrally located out door pool, and a gym. I definitely recommend this fun space!
The rooms were okay, however the walls were very thin and I could hear the people next to me snoring, loudly. The carpeting in the room wasn't very clean, and the tv was hard to operate (remote buttons didnt work well). The pool got very VERY dirty, and unless you wanted to sit on uncomfortable woven plastic mats and stained pool chairs you have to get to the pool right when it opens. The hammock area was nice-ish but there weren't enough, everytime I wanted to use them they were all full. There were little beanbag-like chairs, but only three of them. I did hear that the hotel was a renovated motel, and if it is, they didn't do much. The tiles in the bathroom look super tacky, and the water pressure is more like a soft drizzle (shower). The bedsheets were scratchy, and stuff, but the beds were decently comfortable. The restaurant was mediocre. We ordered a date shake, but it tasted mire like horchata than anything else. The food was more of a love it or hate it kinda deal. And in my case, it was a hate it. The shuttle service was terrible. We rode it downtown, but we waited at the pick up spot fot 45 minutes, and when we called just afyer the pickup time (we had arrived 10 min before) they said they had already picked up the other people and driven back. The hallways and stairwells had a really bad smell. Thr hallways were like a really cheap fruity air freshener that had gone bad, and the stairwells just smelled like week-old pee. Not to mention the trash strewn around the stairs. In the window there were two cans that were there the entire time I stayed there. However the bright colors and relaxing "vibe" were good. I love the LGBTQ pride, including the krave pool party and diverse staff.
MAJORLY disappointed here. I cannot vouch for the rooms or amenities, so maybe I'll update this at some later date... However, I had Sunday Brunch there and had a worst experience. Not only were we sat between pretentious Hipster-Wannabes (who talked out of their assess the entire time, and had little clue as to real life) BUT the wait-staff were few and far between...lacked any serving knowledge...and completely vanished for 30 minutes. We had to get up and ask the manager (inside at the bar) for our bill. Waste of time and money as far as we were concerned. Hopefully the second trip redeems itself.
Staff are well-dressed, fresh and genuinely friendly. The rooms are quaint but beautifully designed and colorful. Room service and housekeeping are sweet as can be. This place is a gem and the staff deserve a good star.
Cleanish room and friendly staff. Room service was...interesting.
Great rooms and a wonderful pool. The food is really well done. The staff is also kind and courteous. When I ate at the restaurant there was a little mix up with our order. I was really looking forward to my first date shake ever but when it came it was neither date nor shake! It tasted like a frozen horchata. Overall I had a fun time.
A most excellent property! Friendly staff and very nice decor.
Updated appearance to a classic space. A must see, so colourful
Very colorful hotel. Be prepared for a $25 resort fee, always incredibly annoying if you don't plan on using the pool, fitness center, etc. Internet is free if you are OK with slow, otherwise they want another 9.95 for faster service.
Tinto is a very interesting restaurant. Very creative menu, great flavors. I found the lamb and octopus to be flavorful but not especially tender. Wine list is extensive with Spanish wines.
Rooms are nice size and comfortable, sliding glass doors shut out pool noise very effectively.
A very hip place. The colors make the Saguaro different from other hotels. Went there for a wedding reception and the whole place was terrific. The suite was really clean and comfortable.
Stay was pleasant. A bit confusing at first finding the way to the rooms but staff were courteous and friendly. The rooms were very large and comfortable. Smoking was allowed on the balcony.
Old. Got this place by surprise on priceline. Was supposed to be comparable to hyatt. That was a lie.
Probably the coolest vibe in Palm Springs. MIND-BLOWING marg's and fresh guac at El Jeffe's, located inside the hotel. Free salsa refill!? Yes, please!?
Lollipop colors highlight this reborn motor inn. Bold orange, lemon, lime and purple are in every detail from sinks to sun umbrellas. An updated Mexican food and tequila bar anchor the food and beverage options. A nearby shopping center offers pub grub, Italian, Vietnamese and a grocery store. Free Buzz shuttle stop outside front gets you downtown Thu-Sun. Giant TVs and comfy king beds in smallish, but efficient rooms with balconies.
Went to the spa for a massage. Friendly spa staff and very clean. Leo was my massage therapist and did a great job. I would highly recommend him.
NOT COVID FRIENDLY. Their website says everything would be socially distanced but the pool was like a vegas pool party. The chairs were overwhelmingly close to each other and it was impossible for a group of people to separate themselves. Management was apologetic but the reality is what is promised on the website should be practiced IRL. Separately, the nachos were wonderful.
I had the best time here! I came for an instagram conference and stayed an extra day to relax.
Nice hotel with good shopping across the street. Very quiet air conditioning
This is a fun hotel to stay at, especially if you plan on taking advantage of the pool! However, the rooms and poolside furniture were more outdated than I expected. We arrived on a Monday and the staff spent most of the day cleaning up debris from a weekend party. So I would suggest arriving on Tuesday (or +1 days after an event) to optimize your visit. Also, the food at El Jefe was very tasty.
El Jefe has good food, margaritas, friendly staff, and cool decor. Rooms are large, pool area is classic California.
This hotel was an amazing experience. Not only was the hotel clean, beautiful, and entertaining. It had a great location and great staff. Abel was the head of the engineering department and he went above and beyond to make our experience extraordinary. We had an issue with our fridge and within 10 minutes he brought a brand new fridge to our room, made sure our air conditioning was filtered and working properly. He made us laugh and gave us great recommendations for our stay here. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back and recommend this to friends.
Had a celebration of life at the banquet hall here at The Saguaro and got ripped off at the bar when I ordered a Grey Goose and Redbull but found out later it cost $15 bc there was no sign of a drink menu. I would have never ordered that stupid drink if I had k own we were all going to get ripped off! Talked to the manager and she said it is what it is. Then from there the service sucked bc I wanted to know why the drinks were so high. DO NOT COME HERE TO DRINK OR STAY UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING YOUR MONEY IN FIRE! Then after I bought my outrageous drink, they came up with a last min The drink menu and low and behold....soda drinks are free. Don t get scammed and stay away from The Sagauro! Take care and beware

A/C in room did not cool, in fact woke during the night and opened the balcony door to let in less humid air. Bathroom fan only made noise - did not remove any air. 6 hairs in the bathroom - 2 on the floor and 4 on the wall. These negatives outweighed any positives.
Most hotels in Palm Springs are old. The Seguaro is no different. The grounds and pool area are very nice and have been renovated. The room had newer furniture and carpet, but it still felt dated. The location is ok, but a bit far from downtown. The El Jefe restaurant was just ok. The drinks were horrible, but the food was decent enough. Service was great at the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The highlight of this hotel is definitely the pool area.
We enjoy our stay with my family in this hotel. The day we went there is raining hard, 1 thing minor problem is theres a leaking on my window but it ls okay it dont bother me at all... Its Room 204 by the way...
Didn't actually stay here but it looks fantastic. Courtyard pool and a fabulous retro vibe. those Colours are just amazing on the contemporary building, like 60s never left.
Good location, on the border with the city and the mountains, excellent salt water pool ... Large rooms ... Carpet everywhere unhygienic and corridors with the smell of a stable ... but in the room you are fine ... suitable for a young clientele max 40 years ..
Stayed 3 nights. OK Gym (see pics). Bad 1st room (see below). OK 2nd room. Large mini fridge in room was nice (standard in all rooms, not mentioned or pictured on saguaro website). Nice hotel staff. Nice & colorful (saltwater?) pool. Nice design aesthetic in the main areas of the hotel - the same cannot be said for the conference rooms.
Great location. Full supermarket directly across the street. Large Walgreens 5mins away.
My first room, 160, was on the ground floor and had pool access. The outdoor path to my room from the front desk was poorly kept. They drag trash from inside the hotel to the dumpster along this path and for my first 12 hours at the hotel there was a bunch of garbage on the path and it smelled & looked awful. When I followed the signs to my room, I initially turned back bc i thought I had made a wrong turn "they wouldn't have people walk past all this garbage and all these smells on the way to the room." i thought. I was wrong.
Ground floor pool access isn't all it is cracked up to be because you can only lock the pool access door from inside the room. Additionally, keyed room access faces the parking lot, which is accessible from the street. I did not feel safe in this arrangement.
The shower drain in my room was clogged. I took a shower and the water was over my ankles after 2-3mins.
My second room, 385, was not accessible from the street. No pool access (or view), but pool access is worthless and the city/mountain view is nicer than the pool view if you're not from the southwest. My second room had a slow drain. It might be a problem with the hotel drainage system (?).
The gym had 3 benches, 1 treadmill, 2 ellipticals, a 3way chest/incline/shoulder press machine, a pulley station and free weights up to 50lb. Wide area for calisthenics & other stuff. Only one mat.
Very great Hotel with a pool, gym, and great service. The bar downstairs is very useful. Clean, fresh, and great area.
If you are looking for a loud party this is the place to stay, if you were going for a quiet stay in Palm springs look elsewhere. The rooms were not bad but could use more cleaning, the pool was nice but crowded over the weekend.
Loved our stay here! So many fun hang out areas in addition to our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful all three days that we were there, they even made a point to remember our names and were quick to fix any issues we had (our keycard stopped working on one of the days). The pool area is such a fun place to hang out and pool staff are friendly as well! One thing I will say is that since all the rooms surround the pool you might have a hard time getting a quiet nap in when the dj is working. We loved our stay and would definitely consider staying here again!
This isnt a 4 star hotel! It is a noisy, dirty, smelly place. Better stay at an extended stay or motel6. Took a pic of this chair just as an example, it was all dirty and stained. Loud noise past midnight. Next day upon checking out they were trying to charge me $36 resort fee! Which wasnt unmentioned anywhere during booking. After i questioned where it was said about resort fee, the guy said "no worries, you dont have to pay anything, i was mistaken". In short- just stay away from this place!
Very cute boutique hotel. Love the decorations, very colorful!! Many good photos opportunity spots.
They have great space for big party/event.
A nice hotel. The shower pressure was poor which is frustrating but the room was nice and the pool / restaurant / bar are all excellent
Truthfully not worth the amount of money spent Here. Overpriced for mediocre rooms. I guess it s only worth it if you are at the pool parties. Even then it s better to to visit and not stay.
The service was good. We did not see a control panel for the AC unit in our room. The room itself was clean.
The entire process of booking with and staying at The Saguaro was an absolute nightmare.
I had to call multiple times just to get a confirmation of my reservation emailed to me which did not include a total amount. Then another slough of emails later and I finally had the cost breakdown. What they had originally quoted me at time of booking was also different than the total amount they ended up charging me, blaming it on the fluctuating room rates with demand.
The room wasn't ready on time, and was not nearly as nice as expected for such a high room rate and based on their website pictures. We booked this room with a Bachelorette party special code and as the weather was not as nice as expected and being unable to enjoy the pool as a result, we requested to have the specialty items and bottle of Rose included delivered to our room. It took talking to 3 people before I got a hold of someone who knew what I was referring to. This was a special advertised on the website....
Then they tried to charge me for the waters in the room which were unopened and not used, as well as other random charges to my card beyond the room rate (*which was already higher than initially quoted at time of booking). The agents I spoke to were less than accommodating and super unfriendly about it. i also could not get a call back and communication via email was delayed to say the least.
The Saguaro falls INCREDIBLY short, to say the least, on all of the basics in customer service and I will not be staying here again.
The Saguaro is such a gem in Palm Springs! Or as we aptly refer to it as the rainbow hotel! The hotel itself is such a magical retro gem of amazment. Everyone should stay there at least once. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful stay and Marianne Santiago is a gem. There was a slight snafo upon check-in with some mistaken additional charges and when I alerted the front desk to the mistake they put Marianne who is one of the managers on it. When I tell you her impeccable attention to detail and desire to see the issue through to the finish was uncanny, I've NEVER received that level of customer service at a hotel/resort such as what she provided. Women like her are what takes vacations from good to fantastic. Everyone on the premises went above and beyond to make my 8 year old feel so special during our stay. The drinks by the pool were wonderful, the food at the restaurant was delicious and the housekeeping staff were so attentive. All of the staff had on masks all of the time (from front desk, housekeeping and everyone who worked at the restaurant) we travled during the week so socially distancing from other guests wasn't difficult at all when poolside. My only suggestion would be to give the grounds a bit of TLC...cracked paint being repaired, stained carpets being replaced and just a general overall touch up of the hotel would really give The Saguaro the update it truly deserves. In spite of that it's still a great little gem in the desert and everyone should stay at least once! Thank you to all the staff, our 4 day stay as my 8 year old put it was "Rainbow hotel magic!"
Tip: To those traveling with families I'd say travel during the week. The weekend crowd is much more mature and a tad wild for the kiddos. I love weekend adult only getaways and feel that, that is more the vibe on the weekends at The Saguaro.
Price does not make you a 4 star hotel. Disappointed at wait staff and amenities.
Staff was great. A wider variety of food would have been great..
The Saguaro has a very hip and 'instagrammable' vibe, I stayed for a conference but you can tell it's a party hotel when not being taken over by an event. The rooms were a decent size, but to get to my room I had to walk through the parking lot to a door on the outside, and then walk down 2 long corridors one of which was unfinished (no carpeting, stains, etc) to get back to my room that was essentially the closest room to the lobby? Made no sense to me.
For the price point of this hotel, I expected more amenities such as a space in the bathroom to hang a hand towel, not having the glasses changed in my room by housekeeping for 4 days even though they had been used, etc. The restaurant in the hotel is good and I found the staff pleasant, but for the price, I was underwhelmed.
Really nice hotel, fun atmosphere nicely decorated, clean rooms
The rooms are fun and colorful but very noisy which makes it hard to sleep and that really is a deal breaker for me. The crowd is in on the younger side but I really enjoyed El Jefe.
I went with some friends for my birthday and I was not impressed at all. First of all when I went to go check us in it was about 11:00AM and I already knew we wouldn't be able to get a room at that time which they did inform me and i was fine with because we had plans to go have brunch. I had asked since another group of mine was already checked in if they could possibly put us near them as much as possible which they said there was a room about 3 doors down and they would reserve that for me. We came back from brunch around 3 and they had informed me that the room still wasn't ready and once again i was ok with it since we would just change at my friends room and go to the pool party which mind you it was a ton of fun. Well the pool party was about done which was about 5:15 and once again I went to go check on the room and they informed me that the room was given to someone else. I was already annoyed at the situation and just wanted to get into a room to change and just relax. The gentleman apologized and offered to refund me my resort fees but also include a $50 room service credit. Well it's already been about a week and a half and still not received any credit but did get charged $25 which i don't know what that was for. I will not be staying there ever again! The rooms were overpriced for what they were.
Didn't stay here but I would recommend stopping by for a cocktail.
Was going to attend the pool party with friends, it was a $25 entry. I didnt make it. Had to drop off a friend out of town and if i would have went back, it wiukd have been $25 for an hour and a half. But my friends enjoyed it and had fun.
Yeah then, we make a lot of history of Saguaro but frankly, it's a first price hotel with flashy paint. The staff is far from friendly, book a room or a bigmac is the same! Oh, and of course, if you were not aware that there are "splash house" parties on the weekend you booked ... do not plan to sleep.
Couple on vacation ... leave it to spring breaker and for the same price go to the ACE!
I just stayed at the Saguaro Palm Springs last weekend for a friend's Bachelorette party which I organized. The majority of the experience with the Saguaro was awful. It was very difficult to get ahold of them with questions or requests prior to our stay. The phone line was often busy. We left voicemails and emails that were rarely returned. Our rooms were not ready upon arrival. The suite we purchased for the bachelorette to stay in had a horrific smell and we found out from housekeeping that it had just been painted a few days before. We felt that guests shouldn't be staying in that room given that the smell was SO terrible, strong, and potentially dangerous. We did have a fun experience at the pool on Saturday and the staff was friendly and helpful. Although there was supposed to be a DJ which didn't end up happening and was a bummer. Upon arriving home, I found a charge from the Saguaro on my credit card which I don't believe is accurate. I tried calling yesterday but all circuits were busy and I just tried again this morning but it went to voicemail. Overall a very poor experience and wouldn't recommend.
Fun, mid-century modern vibe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location in Palm Springs is great.
Pool is nice and (somewhat) heated in non-summer months. Rooms were clean and well-maintained.
Restaurant/bar in the front gets busy at night, has a good nightlife vibe but no noise from it travels to the rooms.
Overall great experience, I ll stay here again!
Pool and atmosphere is great. Rooms are decent. Hallways and elevators smell like a mechanic shop.
And really awesome Hotel Robert Ramirez is doing a fantastic awesome extravagant job keep up the good work Robert Ramirez
Great stay over the President's Day weekend. Service was great, the place is colorful and vibrant, both literally and figuratively, and the food was very, very good.
We're definitely coming back another time.
Very colorful, fun hotel! Our water got shut off the first night because of an emergency leak but the front desk waived our resort fee for that day and they had the water running again within an hour.

I LOVE the colors and the people working the pool bar. It's a tiny bit outdated in the rooms, but they have free yoga in the morning and a pretty good party by the pool on Saturdays They should have an outdoor shower though, for those pooldays when you already checked out, are driving back to L.A for two hours...in saltwater from the pool
I was really excited to stay at the Saguaro but hated my stay from the very beginning. Check in was a complete nightmare & it really seemed like the hotel was not ready at all for all of us to arrive. The pool was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. The fact that there weren t ever any pool chairs out for us was a joke. I have to carry furniture from the sand pit/hammock area to the pool so I have a place to lay down.
No frozen drinks during the week? Wow. Well I guess that was a hotel loss of thousands of dollars worth of drinks.
We ended up with 13 room keys. 13 ROOM KEYS because our cards kept deactivating. The 7th time it happened- I called the front desk and asked her to send someone to our room because I could not carry all my bags (from presenting) back down to the lobby to get a key. She told me there were not enough employees for her to send someone to me.
We won t be staying again and I highly doubt that this hotel will be busy when we attend Alt next year because every single person I spoke with had the exact same experience.
The maid service was the best. They did a great job.
I was recently a guest at Saguaro Hotel. A group of friends and myself were looking forward to an amazing weekend. We saved and planned for
an entire year for my birthday celebration. My expectations of an amazing weekend quickly turned into a nightmare. Upon arrival at the hotel, I learned that the hotel only accepts microchipped debit/credit cards as a form of payment. I had to ask one of my friends to pay for the accommodations because I did not have a chipped debit card. My visit to the hotel occurred during record breaking heat. As my friends and I began unloading our bags, the air conditioning goes out in the entire hotel(that was what we were led to believe). We were so uncomfortable we stopped unloading our bags and decided to wait for an hour and a half in a warm room in hopes that the air conditioning would be repaired. We were also contemplating whether we would stay or look for another hotel. During our wait, the custom cake I had ordered began to melt due to the warm environment. The cake was destroyed and had to be thrown out which meant I would celebrate my birthday without a cake. We walked to the front desk to inquire about the power and air conditioning. We were told that city wide rolling blackouts were in effect and that the hotel had no electricity. We were still being positive and hopeful that the electricity would turn back on. We were later informed by other hotel guests that they had electricity the entire time. We were lied to by hotel staff about the power outage. Due to all of the negative experiences we decided to leave the hotel as earliest as possible. We left on Sunday morning even though we had planned to be poolside all morning. Our rooms were on the third floor. While packing and attempting to go down and load our belongings we became aware that the elevators were out of order. This meant we had to carry our belongings including birthday celebration items down three flights of stairs. I was extremely upset. I had planned and looked forward to this weekend for an entire year. I was hoping for an experience that would make me want to come back every year. Instead I was very disappointed and am certain I will never return.
The rooms are clean and newly renovated. The hotel restaurant has great Mexican food and the staff are nice.
Fun place for 21-27 year olds. Not really refined enough for the tastes of those 30+. Had a really good time, but my wife and I agree we would have enjoyed it more in our partying younger years.
If I could post 0 stars I would. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. I have never complained about any hotel I've ever stayed at but this hotel was terrible. We had a group of 6 girls and simply wanted to enjoy our time at the pool. In a few hours we rounded up a couple shots and a round of beers, plus food and when I went to reorder the bartender said we were "unfit to serve". We were all completely in control and in no way acting disorderly. I then asked to speak to the manager who repeatedly called me "ma'm" and told me our bill was too high. I have never been told "sorry you can't buy any more drinks because your bill is too high". She was extremely aggressive and rude and everyone in the pool and surrounding bar area was shocked they wouldn't serve us. We had music playing (because there was no music at the pool) which the manager asked us to turn down which was fine. Multiple people in the pool asked us to turn it up and the following day also asked us to play our music instead of the dj. When we asked for pool towels the towel girl said how many? and my friend replied 6. She said, "Whaaat there's 6 of you?!" and my friend says yes we're all right here. I spoke to the front desk manager George on Friday letting him know we weren't trying to make a fuss but how we were being treated was not right nor justified. He said he would credit our room and give us a call that night with the final amount but we never received a call. On Sunday at checkout, they said there was a $34 charge from the pool to our room which was incorrect (someone else charged and signed to our room) and then they said there was no credit. So again I asked to speak to the front desk manager and he said he would credit $30 for our troubles. He said from George's notes and the pool manger Michelle's report they couldn't do anything else. I said what did they say, what was their report? And he said he couldn't tell me because of nondisclosure. You can't tell me about what he reported from my report?? That seems crazy! The manager said he was the customer experience manager and I said it's your job to make sure the customer is treated fairly and he said we could take our business elsewhere. They weren't able to find our itemized bills from the pool so all in all we were treated extremely poorly by all staff and then the manager still could care less about making amends. WORST HOTEL and I will never stay again and would highly advise against anyone else staying here regardless of price. Motel 6 would be an upgrade from the Saguaro.
