Definitely not the luxury experience indicated by the nightly prices. And, like other reviewers, I was disappointed by the resort fee of $25. Free parking was nice, although in an unsecured lot. Apparently, we forgot to pay extra to have our room cleaned while we were there. Staff was very nice about this lapse and promised to fix it, but cleaning never happened and management, to date, has not responded to our formal complaint made 4 days ago.
Attended a summit there, it was easy to navigate and find conference rooms, the washrooms were very clean and the staff was very sweet throughout the day.
I did not stay here but went for a few drinks. There s an inside and outside bar where non-guests can grab a cocktail.
This hotel is as colorful as the pictures depict. The remodel looks great too. If I stay in PSP again, I ll look at staying here.
Just stayed one night on our way back AZ. Room was spacious and clean. Had dinner in the El Hefe restaurant. Food was good and service was excellent.
Poorly lighting in the rooms, broken pool, and No breakfast.
This hotel even with all its bright beautiful colors is a bit old. The hallway to get to the room smelled. The hotel seems to be managed by some very young staff, which didn't have the skills to accommodate a situation. For example, at breakfast in the hotel restaurant I ordered a Cafe Latte from their menu. I waited so long to get the coffee and I even asked if they could bring me a regular one while I waited, they never explained why it was taking so long, the regular coffee never came. My food came and When the Latte arrived, the dark colored cup of coffee had LIPSTICK on it! I complained and they brought me what seemed like the same coffee, just in different cup. By them I was grossed out. When it was time to pay for my breakfast I noticed they charged me for the Latte. I could not believe it. Since i didn't feel like hanging around another minute, i went ahead and paid the whole thing. Someone came over to apologize and stated he had not been there in 2 weeks and didn't realize they didn't have all the ingredients needed for the Horchata Cafe Latte. At no time did they offer an excuse on why they didn't straight up up come out and explain that and give someone the option to change their choice. They didn't even offer to take the charge of the Latte off my bill. They offered for my group to stop by the pool bar and that the bartender there would take care of us. When we approached the bar, they were rude and had no knowledge of the need to take care of us.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
now this place is the spot to be weekends party..... pool guys no wife
We attended a wedding here, very colorful and quirky place. I personally didn't stay at the hotel but the wedding party and several other guests did and the room I went into was basic but nice. I found the wedding venue options a bit odd and lacking privacy from the other hotel guests but the staff was on-point and did a great job keeping the bar and buffet going and with cleaning up plates quickly.
Laid back dog-friendly hotel that is a great value for the money. Stayed here a few times this spring while house hunting and had a good experience each time. The pool area is great and they have a good restaurant. They're extra good with your dog as well which we really appreciated.
Clean and quiet stay. Service staff were friendly and accommodating. I gave it a 3 because on my second night I found 2 big roaches in the closet. Engineering removed 1 but the other found a different place to hide.
Very confusing layout way too many kids and very noisey. Great size roo.s however and great facilities
Absolutely loved The Saguaro! Was here over Memorial day week and had a blast. The staff was super friendly and service was fast. Big S/O to the team at El Jefe! Keep up the good work!
I never been in motel, only picked up and dropped off clients, according to them though it seems to be a good place to stay?
The tacos, guacamole, and beer were tasty, but the margarita wasn't to our liking. The ping pong and neon cactuses were a definite plus.
A literally very colorful place! The rooms were fairly spacious and the bathrooms were clean. There were hammocks nearby the pool area; my friends and I had a good time lounging around here. Overall, positive impression of this place.
PoolBar staff is not welcoming or friendly in fact despite the fact that im a regular and spend $$$$$ every weekend they are rude. Also, i dont understand the pre recorded house music on Sundays. What's ther point of a dj if you can't play to the crowd. No requests and music is pre recorded smh.
Came here for a wedding now I come when I visit palms springs. It is a party hotel, but fun atmosphere
Really average hotel with quite high prices. Bright colors and a hip, cool vibe still aren't enough to make me want to stay. If you're looking for loud pool parties midday without much shade and lots of attractive posers and a Las Vegas pool vibe, this is the place. I really wanted to like it, but I probably won't be back soon. But not knocking them for doing what they do and doing it, what appears to me, well.
Got this via hotel tonight and if I had paid full price would have definitely felt ripped off. Everything is a shoddy coat of paint over a cheap converted motel. Cool architecture for sure. Also they allow pets here and my room wasn't totally cleaned and I have allergies so rough sleep. Staff was very friendly and nice but won't return do to the facility.
This is a great place to party at the pool. They have a DJ sat and sun and the pool party is always down as hell
I stayed in September 2020. Hotel has a nice Palm Springs vibe, pool was nice, weather was nice. The Pool bar staff was nice. But about a week before our stay, we made a call to the front desk and they were rude as well as hung up mid sentence when we were still talking and just said K Bye. I had other friends staying the same weekend and they said they had similar experience with some of the staff, as well as having random charges. Just checked my bank statement and there's definitely a ~$25 charge I didn't do at the bar. Makes me wonder if they try and take advantage of people thinking perhaps they bought something at the bar or restaurant.
I liked it because of the great pool party that on Saturday. Drinks were good. Food options were fine.
The reason for the missing fifth star is because of the cleanliness of the hotel room. Our room was oddly a mixture of clean and dirty. Clean floors and linens, but the walls had full on caked handprints. Like the big major stuff was cleaned, yet not the rest of the room. Again, could've been just the room I was staying and it was just a one time thing. Either way, it was just gross.
Such a fun quirky hotel! Vibrant colors are a real treat as are the spectacular views. Definitely worth a stay!
We met here for drinks before taking a tour of Palm Springs architecture. What a grand and colorful hotel. Super cool.
Love the Barbie exhibit.
It s just fun and all things Palm Springs.
The hotel offers a small - mexican cantina - style bar, didnt stay, just enjoyed a couple of libations
Far out scene. Nice service with swell seating and groovy decor
I didn t stay here as a guest but I hung around the pool area and I thought it was a neat hotel. People were swimming in February because it s a heated pool
stayed here last minute, with a good price from HotelTonight and really enjoyed it - not a 'fancy' hotel but good value for money and the hotel is simple and fun. great pool, solid gym, terrific friendly service from staff.
for what it's worth, every hotel in Palm Springs charges these resort fees...
Saguro hotel visit for splash house. Hotel is nice but El Jefe restaurant visit was amazing.
I was impressed with the staff I was also happy with the accommodations
Everything was good till all the hidden fees.. don t book through a 3rd party and make sure u wait and check your bill before u leave ..
Insta worthy! Iconic destination with great drinks and a variety of wonderful places to sit back and relax
Ultimately really fun with your friends! Bright colors, modern and retro feel at the same time.
Fun hotel! Little bit older and definitely older rooms but a clean nice place to stay when visiting Palm Springs
I was thoroughly impressed by the customer service at this place. My wife and I needed an early check in due to some scheduling conflicts and they not only made it happen but upgraded me in the process. BELEN is absolutely awesome and should be promoted!
The hotel / motel in Palm Springs is in my opinion a very well maintained and modern furnished. In the complex there is a pool, which is open from 8 - 22 o'clock and its own locality, where one can be served with food and drink - there is no buffet accordingly. The staff was very polite and courteous in all areas, so that you as a guest really felt good.
Beautiful hotel, the pool is great, drinks at El Hefe were wonderful. The wifi can get a little patchy when the hotel is in use for a conference.
Was here for 4 nights and would definitely cone back, it's the perfect base for a trip to Palm Springs and instantly puts you in a great mood when you open the doors to that view over the pool
Love that they are so dog friendly
its quiet at night
our room is amazing and colorful
This place needs a little bit more maintenance love. The room was smelling very moldy, probably because of the old A/C. In addition, the fridge was so loud that it was hard to sleep. On sunday, the pool was overly crowded with way too many outside guests. Considering the price of the stay all these factors didnt make it an awesome experience - even though the vibe, the food and the place as such are great.
Decent spot if you're looking for a fun pool party. A bit overcrowded and tough to find searing in the pool area during the day though. Did I mention the pool, it's what this place is all about. Resort taxes are hefty in Palm Springs.
Room had a dirty toilet. They told us we were accidentally booked in a room with toilet issues. Toilet had a pube on the seat. El Jefe restaurant screwed up all 3 entres we ordered. Nostalgic place but dirty toilets are gross.
Great environment for Both Locals & visitors~ friendly, helpful staff make you feel Welcome!
I was attending a servesafe class here and they decided to do fire alarm testing in the middle of the class. This is why I am giving such a poor review.
Nice hotel. Resort FEE to numbers. Supermarket and shops directly opposite. Was a bit struck after the stay (air conditioning or ice cube)
Loved this vibrant colorful hotel. Staff was friendly and the mountain view from our balcony was amazing!
Good ceviche. Cantina margarita could have used a little more orange liquor;.
Very stylish hotel in Palm Springs. Nice decor, and a very nice bar/restaurant.
The hotel is ok. It s clean, and decently appointed. But nothing too special. The nicest things about the place are the palm trees that surround the area and the hill views. The downside was the bar service. We had great food and cocktails at lunch, but when we went back in the afternoon for the taco Thursday s which is somewhat of an equivalent to a happy hour I guess, the exact same cocktails that we ordered earlier for lunch were sub par and tasted vastly different even after we had asked if they could be re-done. We ordered off of the special menus but were initially charged full price, which wouldn t have been a big deal of the cocktails were of the same standard but they weren t. We just wanted good food. Could have cared less if there was a Taco Thursday menu. The Taco s however, were just as good as what we had at lunch, which was nice. The hospitality level of service was also vastly different between whom we had met at lunch and at dinner. Might have just not been the best day for the person. Hospitality is a hard job, and I know first hand because I ve been in the business in some form over the last 15 years, so I try not to be too hard on the person, but it was clear the person wasn t having the best time. What is unfortunate is we got better environment, better service, and a better price from a place we just came from around the corner, so there are lots of other great places I would have preferred over staying here. Some of the detailing was odd, like the decorative floaters they had on the bathroom wall that were nailed into the wall for probably $3. (See photo)
The best place in PalmSprings to stay friendly employee the best void and service in town and the deferent colors all over the hotel keep you smile and happy 24/7 love this please!!!!
It was okay for the price. Definitely would not book there again. The colors were fun and bright; however the other guests were somewhat questionable. Many people were drinking out of glass bottles and vaping inside the pool, doing things that I know other hotels/ resorts would not allow!
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Not only are the rooms old, the hotel seems to be trying to sadly upgrade by adding new paint, which there were signs everywhere indicating such. For the price they want to charge you truly might as well stay at a Motel 8 or Comfort Inn. I realize it's Palm Springs and things are expensive, however, if you're going to charge this kind of price, the room should be a lot nicer. The bed was hardly comfortable. I would say their pillows were the nicest thing about the stay. Their body and hair products, that are complimentary, are hardly a four-star Resort quality. They nickel-and-dime you for everything, literally. Not to mention, their restaurant, the Jefe, was at best average food. To add insult to injury for two soups some chips/guacamole dip and two small Margaritas, which I have to tell you where the WORST Margarita's I ever had in my entire life, I paid $77. They charge you $10 for a thing of chips. It's ridiculous! Not to mention, the hotel staff were not that great. I'm also not sure why I got charged $133 for my Resort fee when I only stayed two nights. I spent over $700 at this hotel, for two nights, one meal, and mediocre service. The room was decent as far as being clean, but I just was expecting more than an old looking room with new paint on it for the price I was paying. Anyhow, never again and it will take a while for the bitter taste of that meal charge to leave my mouth. So disheartened by the whole experience. Yuck!!!!
Imagine my family s disappointment when after booking our trip and this hotel, and after checking in, we visit the pool only to find out that it is closed for most of the month. Nothing was said about this throughout the entire process. The pool was the main reason we even chose this hotel.
Was here on Memorial day weekend. Quite the party scene. Feels like Vegas in Palm Springs. Loud DJ. Long lines at the bar. Good times in the pool. Every room is a room with a view of the pool on 2nd and 3rd floors. Much cheaper than the Ace and more of a party atmosphere if that's what your going for.
Very nice place, great food, pool jacuzzis, hammocks by pool, movies on Friday night ouside poo area, fire pits,420 friendly too
Top 2 favorite place to stay in the desert, especially when they have their pool parties, great service and the rooms are all have their own theme
Good spot for instagram photos ! But they need to work more on soundproofing. I came here on vacation with my fiance and unfortunately there was a group of college students stayed in this hotel at the same time with us. They played loud music, screamed, and sang all night. It was really annoying. I just wished the room is soundproofed.
Lovely place to spend a nice holidays on palm springs. The swimming pool at night is amazing.
This hotel is nice, it was a pleasant stay. But I cannot excuse anyone for being a crook in the manner that they are. Resort fees are hidden from you as much as the law will allow them to, so that you are totally unaware of them. The resort fee is not a tax of any kind, it is purely a means for them to advertise lower nightly rates and have you pay more than expected in the end(130$ a night became 170$). This kind of greedy deception is unacceptable! The managers should be ashamed!
Very nice hotel top brachouille music all day it's a little soulful
Hotel suitable for young people. Colored clean and very hospitable.
The bed is very comfortable. Staffs were nice and did accommodated me well. I loved the ambiance of the place too. The stay was worth it.
Great hotel , great vibe and fine rooms.
Only our airco was not as cold as or should have been.
Barbies hotel!! So colorful and cute. Renovated older hotel like a minor facelift with very colorful fun paint and decor. Great service, definitely a party hotel.
Our power was going out at our home, so we just needed a place to stay over night. We weren't looking for a full service hotel or anything, however apparently this hotel is SUPPOSED to be. When we got there, we first went to drop off our things in our room. Then we took a walk around the hotel, mainly to exert my 3 year old. They had some weird stuff outside.. A cheap crochet set up on a fake lawn (which made it hard to play, frankly, even just playing around), and what I believe to be lawn bowling? All useless at night, as much of the outside pavilion. They had a nice large pool though. So that's nice. It looked like it was heated. There are three floors to the hotel.. The first one is below ground, and so awkward. The spa is down there, but doesn't look inviting at all. Two computers for use. That's it. The lower floor is weird. The main floor/lobby is a bar, and restaurant area.. Unless you're drinking, I wouldn't be in that area. They have a nice fitness center. All the machines have a tv attached to them. That's nice. The top floor, all of the walls looked like they just painted over existing wall paper. Again, a very awkward area. Back at the room, it was very mediocre. The patio was not inviting. The bed was hard as a rock, and I barely slept at all. The "fitted" sheet wasn't fitted, and the pad underneath it all of the elastic was broken, so the mattress kept showing and messing up while tossing and turning on it. The pillows were awful, but aren't so bad if you lay on top of them to protect you from the mattress. And the noise was bad. The ice machine was very loud. The elevator was very loud, and the door leading from the outside was very loud. And I heard all of this OVER the air conditioning in the room. The lights in the room were picky, and you had to fiddle with them to turn them on. And the shower head in the shower was piercing, although the water pressure was great, and it stayed hot through two long showers. The towels were weird... they felt like shammies. But they got the job done. Over all, I would not recommend staying at this hotel, unless you like mattresses that hurt to lay on, and noise all night long. I really wanted to like it, because I love colors and that's the hotel's theme.. But I just can't. We ended up checking out early to go home and sleep. I don't know if they stuck us in the worse room they have because we booked on a secondary website or what... But our time was not pleasant.
Everything was as expected, hotel has everything. Loss of one star was only because of:
1. Sparsely distributed elevators.
2. Noise level.
The noise is going to be a positive for many travellers. It was a heckuva party on the Saturday we were there, until about 1AM. Cleanup noise until 2. If you're coming off a whirlwind LA week, and looking for quiet, avoid it on weekends.
Great retro vibe to the place. The pool was full of friendly people. One person in the group was being harassed by some solicitors, but otherwise a good time. If you plan on being in the pool a lot, a poolside room is key.
All good except for the room service food. Ordered two meals for breakfast, one chicken sandwhich and one chorizo burritos. Both were completely bland. No seasoning on anything, even the French fries.
A little too hipster for me. Love the decor of the rooms but you can keep the food & beverage outlets. Over priced nonsense..lol
Decent hotel with enough amenities, though too far to walk downtown. The bar and breakfast we're well done.
Very cute hotel to relax in Palm Springs! The landscape is very colorful and clean but the rooms are a bit dated (wonder if most hotels are this way). Came here in early Oct where it s not crowded but still lots of people in the hotel. There is a gym here that s open 24 hours and a restaurant attached to the hotel lobby.
The food and service here is incredible. By the pool you can reserve day beds at a price but the chairs seem to get filled quickly. There are also two jacuzzis!
