All of the staff that I came into contact with were absolutely wonderful. The doorman seems like he really enjoys his job and is great for making you feel at home. The room was amazing as well. The bed felt like clouds, the shower like an exotic waterfall, and the robes like excellence. I will definitely be staying at the Roosevelt again in the future.

I had dinner with my family at the Dominica restaurant on Christmas eve 2018. The service was excellent but the food was mostly bad tasting and over priced for the portions served. I tried the rabbit pasta, the squid ink and crab pasta, the oyster pasta, cheese grits, a roasted beets salad, a corn bread ball stuffed with cheese served with tomato sauce, a fish entree and a chicken entree. The rabbit was bitter and sour, the squid ink pasta lacked flavor, the cheese grits were bland, the chicken entree was nauseating, the fish entree was over salted but had good flavor and perfect texture, but the salad was decent, the cheese stuffed corn bread ball was amazing, the oyster pasta had expertly cooked oysters with great flavor but under cooked noodles. Overall I would not go back but the servers were very attentive and pleasant. Maybe because this was on Christmas eve there was an issue in the kitchen?

Good.

I was only there for drinks and Christmas decorations but the decorations were beautiful. The bar is very nice, a little small but you are able bring the drink into the hotel lobby and even out on the street, they provide to go drinks.

Was in town for a friend's birthday weekend and we stopped over at the Sazerac bar in the Roosevelt. This was a fantastic experience and I loved the ambience and the drinks. They have great suggestions with a little direction and just wonderful. I also stopped by my friends room which was just amazing! He was working with the personal concierge and ended up getting an upgrade to go with his hotel status. He had organized a lot of the trip through the concierge and they realized it was his birthday they got him a cake and bottle of champagne that we found when we got back from our first nights events. The room was very traditional but very well appointed. He was upgraded to a suite which was a quite spacious two rooms with both guest and master bathrooms. The ceilings were a lovely vaulted affair, easily 15 feet tall. While the furniture was traditional, there were still convenient outlets and large flat screen televisions. I regret not staying there with them but was at the new Hilton checking it out. I give them a fantastic rating of 5 stars, and if you appreciate service you will love this hotel and their fantastic concierge.

The lobby decoration and lights were spectacular on Christmas day. After admiring the lights we went to Teddy's Cafe to have something. The staff were abrupt and unfriendly, not courteous at all as one would expect from a hotel of this standard. To top it all, the table that we sat at was filthy, with a napkin and cutlery strewn on the floor. Quite disappointed.

Stayed for a weekend at this place. They have valet only for parking, but there are a few garages nearby that will be cheaper if you don't need in and out privileges. Interior is amazing with a rich historical and elegant look. The room has a very similar feel, which upholstered chairs and wooden headboards. Bathroom has a marbled flooring with tile work. Shower works well with decent pressure. Ordered coffee and beignets and it wasn't too outrageous. French Quarter is right across the street, making it extremely convenient. Will come again and cross my fingers for an upgrade next time.

The hotel is lovely. Check in was easy. The room was terrific. We had a couple of odd staff issues, but nothing too major. We also took advantage of the spa, but were disappointed in what was described versus what we got. The bar was wonderful, but I'd skip the restaurant if I were you. We might stay here again, but we'd use the hotel as more of a home base rather than an integral part of our stay.

I only visited to have drinks with my wife in The Sazerac. The drinks were pricey, but that's my only critique. The antique opulence and excellently made cocktails probably justify the expense, especially if your drink is the sazerac, like it is mine!

Great old hotel and the lobby, service and bar areas are fantastic. Because the rooms are older, the bathroom is far from convenient like modern hotels. Bath gel was in short supply and there was no bath soap provided (only small face soap bars).

Wonderful hotel! Great location and nice, clean rooms. The hotel bar is fantastic too. If you are in town around Christmas time, you must check out the decorations in the lobby, it's too beautiful to describe.

Louisiana politicians used to cut deals here while getting tipsy at the Sazerac Bar. Rooms are cozy and worth every penny. Within walking distance to St. Charles Avenue streetcar and French Quarter. Domenica is on the property and is one of the finest Italian restaurants in New Orleans.

Here are the issues that took place at a so called "5 STAR" hotel.

- Upon checking in, no one even acknowledged 3 people standing by saying we will be with you. Rather they finished what they were doing, went to the back and then came back on. If you need to verify that, it took place around 7 PM last Monday.
- At night, I asked the front desk what are options to eat in the hotel, he said the restaurant next door. I went to the restaurant and they said they were closed, but the one next door is open. Shouldn't the front desk know what time the restaurant closes?
- Next day, they said the coffee place opens at 6 am and the restaurant opens at 6:30 am. I went down at 6:30 am and waiting and someone had to call the restaurant to have the open since it was pass 6:30 am. There were 2 of us waiting. When we walked in, the hostess didn't even say good morning, so I said good morning and she did not respond. I then leaned forward and said good morning louder before she responded.
- Same day I went to the front desk to ask for a change for $20 so I can tip the valley and she couldn't be bothered and said she doesn't have change. When I asked where can I get change from, she said she is not sure.
- That evening I grabbed coffee and wanted to go hang out by the pool area. I used the room key to get in the elevator and by the time I got to the pool area, the card wasn't working. So I called the front desk so see if they can send someone to look at the door because the card is working with the room and the elevator, she said no I need to go tot he front desk so she can reset the card. I explained again there is nothing wrong with the card since I just used it. She couldn't send anyone up. I asked for a manager and his excuse for what she said was worst than her excuse. For security reasons they can't let anyone to the pool area if they are at staying at the hotel. Well how does anyone get to the 4th floor without a card since all elevators requires a card to operate.
- Finally the check out process was as bad as the check in.

Everyone is apologizing and no one is helping to change the experience.

Very careless/incompetent with customer's financial information. Do NOT trust these people with your money. In addition, once the problem was finally resolved, at their convenience, they didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for their mistake or for the hassle that we were left with on their behalf. With plenty of places to stay in New Orleans, I would advise looking elsewhere.

Beautiful decor! Great location for walking to local restaurants. The overnight guest representative lady and housekeeping are not the best as expected. The bell/valet guys were awesome.

COVID Cleanliness from the road. Just back on the road following a long hiatus due to COVID-19 and want to share how clean and prepared the hotels are along the way. The Roosevelt in New Orleans is a Hilton property and is following a cleanliness protocol that really gives confidence in the process of keeping the guest safe and distanced. The employees look to ALL be following masking guidelines and there are plenty of signs reminding guests to do the same (although a few were not). I rate the cleanliness here a 5/5.
It s a beautiful historic hotel rich with art and style. Rooms are huge and comfortable and the staff is top notch in the city. Great food options here with excellent service. Modern amenities and services in a classic hotel.
A great Waldorf hotel.
