Great place to visit during Christmas time. Plenty of Christmas lights and decorations inside to walk through and see. Staying at the hotel is a very good experience too. Plenty of space in the rooms and the service at the hotel is fantastic. Make sure to have extra money for them to park your vehicle if you are an overnight guest

Rooms weren't ready at designated check in time... Over 1.5 hours waiting. Daily room cleanup not done by noon. Was told it was scheduled to be done before 6 pm. Most guests we talked to had same complaints. On the other side, lobby was gorgeous!

I stayed at this Waldorf Astoria a few years ago. The rooms are fantastic. The beds are very comfortable and the toiletries are wonderful. Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff was very accommodating.

Very comfortable rooms and most offer large windows with a decent view of either canal street or the gothic church next door. The concierges were very helpful with their choice of restaurant. The attached Spa centre was also very nice.

Itching. When I went to the restroom to see why I had 6 or 7 bites on me. Few on my sternum and a few on my arm, which were both copses during sleep. I just want to go home now.

Be prepared..100 a night deposit..and some restaurants will bill to your deposit..also if you have a wet bar..all things in there are motion activated.. so even if you open the door and they fall over (like it did us) you will be charged. Dont worry, they will fix it.
Hotel is fabulous. Walking distance to Bourbon street. Rooms very quiet.. we will stay again!! Thanks!

We had a very nice stay here. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Our room was lovely. Two things that could have been improved upon though. We called the concierge for dinner help and he booked us at a place that was not child friendly even after we had said we had a 2 year old. It was also way above the $20 a plate that I had requested. Second, the valet parking was a bit of a mess. They had not logged in our car and it took a little bit to find it. Would we be back, yes, but I expected a little more.

Additional comments as requested:
1. Your concierge is busier conducting his own personal business , while your guest wait to be acknowledged! Very rude!

2. Almost empty hotel and no ungraded room for Diamond level member.

3. Mediocre buffet breakfast, unhelpful limited wait staff and forced to use plastic plates!

4. Soiled bed pillows( I have pictures) and very stingy toiletries throughout my 6 night stay.

5. No notice on your website that your pool was closed for renovations/ repairs!

Do I need to say more, because I can! This is no 5 star resort but you charged me resort fees for everyday of my stay without providing resort amenities!
Very disappointed Diamond level member!

The rooms are smaller than some but it is an old hotel and reminds me of the size of those in Europe. The rooms were cleaned and set up nicely. The 2 restaurants and cafe offered an easy bite. Located close enough to Bourbon Street.

Just stayed there. For an older Hotel it was very clean and well maintained, had lots of character and fun location. The shower is kinda tricky to figure out but once you got it is great. The Bed does take up a lot of space in the room but I only got the room to sleep so I was fine with that. They had bigger suites that were very spacious.
$200 pending charge for additional charges will go away from credit card after a few days.
Great breakfast spot near by is the Ruby Slipper. Good food and fun atmosphere.

Beautiful location with a very friendly, professional, and lively staff. The drinks at the Sazerac Bar can be considered expensive but the quality of what you are getting surpasses what an average bar provides. The decor of the hotel is magnificent and a wonder to see even if you aren't a guest. Highly recommended!!

The suite enabled us to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday with several friends in comfort and style. Ours was the central meeting place each morning and the nightcap each evening because it was convenient, spacious, and elegant.

Beautiful, breath taking Christmas light display as you enter the lobby of this gorgeous hotel. After attending the Saint's game, Who Dat, we stop by to see the lights in our walk back to the Quarter.

I had an incredible experience with the whole situation and the ingredients involved with a dish is inherently important when assisting a customer and cooking consistently as a trade out for a few more years

The hotel made accommodation to meet the needs of the guest. When other hotels were sold out the Roosevelt was able to assist. Any additional room service request were completed with a pleasant attitude.

I went to The Roosevelt for the Mother s Day Brunch today. For the price we paid, I ll admit that I was disappointed overall. The menu posted online mentioned several things that would be made to order, but that wasn t the case. The waffles were pre-made and sitting in a pan. The salt and pepper shrimp bao buns were pre-made and cold! The meat at the carving station was already carved and dry. The bananas foster was already made and didn t look appealing at all. Also, the servers at those stations were nonchalant and looked like they didn t want to be there. The omelets were the only item made to order and the cooks were rushing, so the quality wasn t the best. The ceviche was absolutely awful and the fried flounder was overcooked and dry. I cannot believe The Roosevelt is not doing more to provide good, quality food. There s no excuse.

Our server was the worst! She was missing for most of our meal (almost 2 hours). We watched as tables with other servers had their dirty plates removed and mimosas/water constantly topped off. We sat there for the longest thirsty and with barely any room to put our plates. She finally comes to the table with a sob story about how long the line was for her to check out her other tables. Well...None of the other servers appeared to have that problem! She then had the nerve to try to talk us out of an additional tip (absolutely not!!). Keep in mind, a hefty gratuity charge was already added to our check.

Now on to the one positive, there was a great band playing live music, which we really enjoyed. I had high hopes for this brunch, but would have done better going someplace else and ordering off of a menu.

We came to the Domenica restaurant at the Roosevelt hotel location. The food was amazing. Our server, Celena, was amazing. Not only did she gave amazing recommendations for the food but she also gave us great ideas to go to places around in the city. The pizzas were great and so were the pastas. The Chocolate Hazlenet Pudding was also very tasty.

Impeccable historical gem. There is a story behind everything here. It's a well-run, high service property that would be ideal for special events, weddings, and of course for visitors wanting to be immersed in the history of New Orleans. The location is great for venturing into the quarter, the CBD, and the Garden District. They are even pet-friendly!

They need to clean their hottub. Gross. Also the roof top area felt like a DMZ. No plants. Uncomfortable decking, weird nothing vibe. Learn from the ACE Rooftop scene. This was not luxury. This felt more like an afterthought, and not a well executed one. The bartender and valet were nice and helpful, but the facilities and decor failed hard.

A friend told us that at Christmas they have a light display in the lobby that has to be seen to be appreciated and we were not disappointed. Well worth a quick visit to take a photo or two.

This review is in regards to the bar Sazerac in the Roosevelt. There was a large degree of disconnect between the bar and the front desk of the Roosevelt. We inquired before going to the bar, whether or not teens could be brought in. Obviously they wouldn't be drinking, but the idea was the adults in the group would grab a quick Sazerac, to try the famous drink. When we arrived, the bar was dark and rather dingy. The floors were a weird tile pattern, and the bartenders were very closed off and uninviting. What was funny, was we weren't informed of the fact that children weren't allowed until one of the teens ordered a Shirley Temple. It took a surprisingly long time for the waiter to notice, and when we were directed to see the sign, it was covered by a tree, making it impossible to know about the age limit in the first place. The Sazerac was not very refreshing either, requiring an acquired taste to enjoy the drink.

Historic hotel in the french quarter with a bar whose claim to fame is the invention of the Sazerac cocktail. The cocktails are a bit pricey, but the ambiance is worth it (not to mention reliving some really cool history). The real gem here is the gin fizz cocktail, definitely the best you'll likely ever try!

I've been here for drinks in the Sazerac bar a couple of times. It's always beautiful and they have excellent bartenders. Plus, if you go during business hours, they have a great gift shop.

The Waldorf Astoria is conveniently located within a five minute drive of I-10 and close to Canal Street. This reservation was made for two people, my wife and I. When we arrived we were greeted by the valet and our luggage was quickly unloaded from our vehicle and before we knew it we were at the reception desk. We were greeted professionally and were notified that our king guest room was upgraded, as requested, to a king suite. If you are staying at this hotel for multiple nights it is worth the extra money to upgrade for the space. We also got the room we requested when we completed the online check-in. First, let's dispense with the bad. Our reservation was for two and we only had one bath robe and enough toiletries for one person. Three of the pillows on the bed had stains on them. These first things were taken care of by housekeeping right away. The bathroom fixtures are in need of replacement/repair because only the shower wand works properly. The toilets in the bathroom and the half bath were not installed correctly. They need to be shimmed and sealed to the floor so they won't wobble. There are no extraction fans in the bathrooms. The AC in the seating area works better than the AC in the bedroom. The last negative thing was that there was dirt that had accumulated under the glass for the desk that hadn't been cleaned in a while. This is not really a negative but there were no USB plugs in my room so bring your chargers. Now the good. Lots of space to spread out. The bed is super comfortable and the sheets are very soft. Plenty of goodies in the mini bar and there is plenty of closet space for extended stays. The AC systems were clean with no sign of mold. The furniture was very comfortable. The hotel is very luxurious in the common areas. There are lounges/bars on the property if you want to grab breakfast or lunch but there is no dedicated restaurant for dinner but there is a full menu for room service. There is a third party Italian restaurant attached to the property. Overall, for the price of the room the quality of the room should have been better but the staff was very professional when handling our requests. I hope the quality of the rooms improves because this is a very beautiful hotel.

Nice atmosphere and comfortable room. You just don't see hotels like this very often and it was quite an experience. Water was a bit slimey in the shower. I think the view would have been ok, but the windows were so dirty, I have no idea what was on the other side of the glass! Otherwise, highly recommended!
