I had dinner with my family at the Dominica restaurant on Christmas eve 2018. The service was excellent but the food was mostly bad tasting and over priced for the portions served. I tried the rabbit pasta, the squid ink and crab pasta, the oyster pasta, cheese grits, a roasted beets salad, a corn bread ball stuffed with cheese served with tomato sauce, a fish entree and a chicken entree. The rabbit was bitter and sour, the squid ink pasta lacked flavor, the cheese grits were bland, the chicken entree was nauseating, the fish entree was over salted but had good flavor and perfect texture, but the salad was decent, the cheese stuffed corn bread ball was amazing, the oyster pasta had expertly cooked oysters with great flavor but under cooked noodles. Overall I would not go back but the servers were very attentive and pleasant. Maybe because this was on Christmas eve there was an issue in the kitchen?
