This review is in regards to the bar Sazerac in the Roosevelt. There was a large degree of disconnect between the bar and the front desk of the Roosevelt. We inquired before going to the bar, whether or not teens could be brought in. Obviously they wouldn't be drinking, but the idea was the adults in the group would grab a quick Sazerac, to try the famous drink. When we arrived, the bar was dark and rather dingy. The floors were a weird tile pattern, and the bartenders were very closed off and uninviting. What was funny, was we weren't informed of the fact that children weren't allowed until one of the teens ordered a Shirley Temple. It took a surprisingly long time for the waiter to notice, and when we were directed to see the sign, it was covered by a tree, making it impossible to know about the age limit in the first place. The Sazerac was not very refreshing either, requiring an acquired taste to enjoy the drink.
