The front office manager jennifer was awesome. The moment we walked in they were very nice and made us feel very welcomed. I definitely would recommend this hotel to any and everyone that goes to that area.

The rooms were disgusting. There was blood stains on the sheets. The carpet seemed like it's never been vacuumed. And cigarette butts and trash all over the balcony. I don't believe they clean it at all.

The pool had so much chlorine it was burning my eyes in the breakfast area and I never stepped foot in the pool room.

This hotel doesn't disappoint. However, on my recent stay, I was surprised to find that instead of offering you those wonderful cookies that make the check in process worthwhile, you received a bag with bottled water . If you don't ask for the cookies, you won't receive them. The rooms are comfortable & well insulated from outside noises. The restaurant, however leaves alot to be desired. I found out from a server that their meals are prepackaged & heated, after sending back a pork loin that was doused in tomato sauce (not disclosed on the menu), mashed potatoes & a vegetable blend. Instead, I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, soup & chips, which was less tasty. They maybe better at wings & soups.
The happy hour was a better hit. The service was excellent & the drinks were good. They sometimes have a man playing the piano & the outdoor firepit is always a plus while having a drink & watching for the bears.

Up the road from downtown strip so it does have an element of quiet and relaxation. The view is of the surrounding mountains. It is a beautiful. Since the building is round the view is the same no matter where you stay. The bar serves beer, wine, and cider! Cider! Just one but I will take it since the bar is so small. The restaurant serves surprisingly decent food too. The veggie burger is made with a house made patty and is delicious. Pleasantly surprising. The pool is pretty nice but surround by fake plants which is a little creepy and 80s-ish in my opinion. The weight room exists but it is pretty basic. Treadmills, free weights, and some mystery machines. There is a slightly bigger gym close with a $4 fee, probably worth it for those itching to use a squat rack. In room service was awesome and fast. The front desk staff is super friendly. Several hiking trails are in walking distance. If you have an active party I would recommend this over the main strip dives.

Looks like it has recently been remodeled. The overall age still shows through in some areas but nothing wrong with that. Great location out of the way from downtown but just a short trolley ride away.

14 story hotel on top of a plateau. The view was great. Open elevator. The climb up the 45 degree road for about a quarter mile was amazing. No free breakfast. Indoor swimming pool with water slide. Also dog friendly.

We came up here to this hotel for New Year's upon arrival there was like 60 people ready to check in check in with slow. Everything is on hand so we better decide to go to the restaurant the food was absolutely horrible. Then we order room service there is a hair in my cheeseburger half the order was missing everything was burnt so here are not very happy with this hotel. It also took them an hour to deliver food because they were understaffed.

The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Gatlinburg is a great place to stay in the mountains. I really like the views that this hotel offers as you are able to 360 views of the mountains. The property is well managed and maintained and the staff makes everything very easy and is able to make sure that you have everything that you need. The DoubleTree cookies are delicious and add to the stay. I like the mountain and bear theme throughout the hotel.

We were impressed by the hotel location and amenities. It is closed to downtown Gatlinburg and an easy drive to Pigeon Forge. Just a little steep going up and down the driveway but it's ok, its away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Rooms were clean and very convenient contactless check in and check out especially if you use the Hilton app because you have a digital key and check out is just a press of a button. The food at the restaurant downstairs was also good and very friendly server, Victor. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was noisy in the room that one night where there were high winds on the forecast. I'm not sure if its because we're located in the mountains and we're in the higher floor but we were not able to sleep that night because you can hear the winds howling outside.

Very good for families, there is a hotel room that has 2 separate rooms when you enter. The 1st is a standard room with a king bed, the 2nd has 2 bunk beds where 4 additional kids can sleep. My 4 kids were in the bunk beds & we had piece & quiet. If the food wasn't so pricey I would give this 5 stars.

My colleagues and I really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms had a great view. The owners and the staff were fabulous. The food could have been better. I would recommend it to anyone who stays in the area.

Absolutely loved our stay! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc the price was a bit higher than we wanted to pay, but we did love everything about our stay. Right in the heart of Gatlinburg, this hotel has amazing views of the mountains, is pet friendly, kid friendly with an awesome indoor pool that has a water slide, adult friendly with an indoor hot tub where the parents can watch the kids in the pool, has a bar and a restaurant, has both a indoor fireplace in the lobby and porch area with fire pit, and the staff was very friendly as well. The rooms were no different than any other Hilton/ Hampton so there was nothing overly exciting there.

Instead of paying for parking, a trolley comes every 20 minutes and takes you downtown for about .50c per ride.... and the hotel is less than 5 minutes from all the fun. I'd definitely stay again, just wish the price was a little less.

We went during the peak of the pandemic in June but it was perfect because the hotel sits up on the mountains away from town. There's a long driveway up a hill that takes you to the grounds. There was a black bear walking around so be careful!

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME!
They instituted the "pet-friendly" policy after we made our reservation and before our arrival. Just felt like a major change like that obligates notification for reserved guests so they can make adjustments accordingly. Have nothing against furry friends but I don't want to sleep with them in my hotel room and bed. Plus what if we had severe allergies. Then we were indirectly informed by a letter sitting unobservably at the check-in counter and after we checked-in that oh, by the way, the total we emailed to you is off by $100, because we're also going to charge you a $25/night "incidental charge," (because you're black). Upon entering our room we found two bugs; both alive and 1 was in the bed. When we contacted the office to request a room change, they instead promptly sent a maintenance person to inform us that the bugs were "harmless". Not even a complimentary "sorry about that." Least to say we will NEVER come back here. And will make sure no one that knows us or anyone they know ever sets a foot or paw here!

We were there for our church womens conference & staff was so friendly & awesome & the view is awesome also, the mattress covered were like being on a clous on the king size beds. Does need more handicap spots close to hotel or a "cart" to move customers from far-ends of parking lot to front door of hotel. Is better every year we come back..The bathrooms/ sink area small for 4 n @ room but still nice.

The hotel is beautiful on the inside. The pool area almost looks like an attraction! It had a giant slide and a hot tub. There is a fire pit and the rooms were nice. The views from the balcony were breath-taking! The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Good service, friendly staff, beautiful view, rooms have been recently renovated. The hotel is away from the downtown area, but trolleys run all day until midnight to shuttle you to and from. The hotel sits on top of a mountain which gives such a gorgeous view from your room. The only down side is the cost of breakfast. What is normally a free continental breakfast in other hotels costs $5 and goes up from there. Otherwise a highly recommended hotel.

We are currently staying at the hotel. I can t say that I m happy with our stay and regret leaving the last hotel to be closer to town . When we originally checked out the hotel the pool was broken down. When we came in to stay we had to wait in line for over a half hour to check in. When we got to the room I noticed many pubic hairs attached to the outside of the shower curtain, the metal shelves in the shower were rusted, I opened the patio door and couldn t get it closed . We had to wait for maintenance to come and fixed the door . I was given a text number to communicate with the desk. I sent at lease 5 messages last night and today with no response. The heater in our room is so loud that you can t hear the tv . It woke me up last night every time that it came on. This is the last day and the day I had been looking forward to (Dollywood) and I m so exhausted because of the heater keeping me up throughout the night. I sent at least 3 messages asking about the continental breakfast this morning and when we got breakfast is when we found out it s not free! This has been the worst hotel experience yet and the most expensive. You would think at $200 plus a night that things would better. Oh and half of the elevators have been down this morning making it hard to use only two elevators for the whole place . They didn t even put up signs saying they are down so people have been standing there for a long period of time before realizing or someone telling them . It wouldn t be that difficult to put up signs for people !

Update: I just realized that the refrigerator that was working when we put stuff in yesterday has gone out and all of our food has spoiled

Rooms are dirty. Hairs in bed linens and bathroom floor. Bathroom floor has spilled sticky soda on it. Management ignored request to clean the unit after promising to do so. Don't stay here!!!

My wife and girls took a 4-day trip to Gatlinburg just before the 4th of July. We were looking for a getaway that was pleasant but was critical to be pet friendly as we pretty much take our two small dogs everywhere. The night we arrived, check-in was easy as we had booked online. The rates were reasonable, the accommodations were clean and had a nice looking setting. The room was clean and spacious (we had a single room with two King beds which was nice for two adults to each bed and a dog in-between). The room had access to wi-fi and a small refrigerator. If I had a complaint on anything it was that there was no microwave in the room but we actually found one later at the end of the hall next to the elevators. The view from the hotel hilltop was nice. We would definitely stay here again. If your patience can handle being stuck in traffic between both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The Park Vista is close to the main hub of Gatlinburg but you would probably want to take a shuttle to get there as there are few places to park and those you will be handsomely charged for.

Nice hotel with a fairly good view. The heating unit was very noisy and uncontrollable - was too hot the two nights my wife and I spent there. Room was less than clean. On a good note, we ate dinner at their restaurant and the food and service was excellent.

This place is the best. Awesome views from the city view rooms, really great lounge with a nice bar and restaurant. Great place to just come and relax, no need to leave the hotel. They offer room service but it's expensive. $12 dollar wings at the bar turn into 22 dollar wings if the bring it to your room. But if you get room service you kind of expect that. Trolley stops out front so you can take advantage of those as well.

Amazing service from Sarah. Beautiful property. George was a perfect concierge. WILL come back. Biscuits and gravy was a nice touch. The gravy made me fat but I want 1000 more bowls. Now.

This hotel could not have been any more perfect. The views were incredible!! It is tucked up high on a mountain so you can overlook Gatlinburg below. Especially beautiful at night. We went the week after Christmas, which is the busiest week of the year. The breakfast each morning was wonderful, the layout of the hotel is very cool, and the rooms are very nice size, clean and well kept. The team was very nice and accomodating and they gave out free cookies at the front desk. Close to everything in Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. Had a trolley to take you into town. The only complaints I had during our stay were the pool area is very nice, but definitely over-chlorinated. The pool was also down for 2 days during our stay and our kids were pretty bummed out about that. Other than that fantastic experience! Will definitely stay here again.

We could not have picked a better hotel for our visit to Gatlinburg. The views from our room were amazing, we were higher then the space needle in town. The pool was the best part of the hotel. Attractions in two kept us busy during the day and the pool let the kids wind down after dinner. Restaurant had good for all day long and the bar let the adults relax at night. Everything about this hotel was great!

Bad: Rooms are definitely dated. Bathrooms are quite small. Balconies aren't maintained or cleared of spider webs. Pretty sure the breakfast food made me sick. They closed the pool(indoor) because of lightning, which I've never experienced before.

Good: The pool was nice- my kid loved the slide. Nice views of the mountains and close proximity to a park entrance.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the pool was completely disgusting, and they allowed other hotel guests to run wild and destroy the pool. We stayed here on my honeymoon and had a similar experience, but we figured it being a Hilton it may of been an off stay and we would give them another try. Well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

The Park Vista hotel is a very nice hotel. It has an opened design that is welcoming. There is a wonderful pool with slides that is fun for all! The breakfast was good and the waiters are friendly. The views from the upper floors are simply beautiful!

The hotel is very nice. It's up a mountain so you have a good view and the rooms are spacious and clean. Also the staff is very accommodating. The breakfast was so so, as a gold member I got free breakfast but had to pay for the kids and the food was cold but we ate late. I would highly recommend the property if you're wanting to be in a mountain area Gatlinburg and very conveniently located. Also they have a great pool for kids with slides.

We recently stayed at the Park Vista while attending a large law enforcement conference. During our stay members of our group stayed on different floors getting a chance to take in the breathtaking views at different heights. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and the rooms and conferences halls were great.

While we didn t get to use it, the hotel also had an amazing indoor swimming pool. We did however get to try the in-house restaurant for breakfast and it was great! We look forward to staying at the Park Vista again!

We love staying at the Park Vista! It's been a 15+ year annual tradition, interrupted only by the fire of 2016. The location above the town is quiet and lovely with great views . If you want a little more touristy excitement then just take the trolley, or a walk, down the steep driveway to the restaurants and shops.

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms and views are magnificent. Very clean which made this Mom very happy! Beautiful gardens and outdoor areas to enjoy the views. The staff was awesome and the restaurant was reasonably priced with excellent food and service. My boys really enjoyed the pool. You can t beat the location of Park Vista and the local trolley picks you up right at the front door and delivers you right to downtown Gatlinburg. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful view from our Hotel Room and close to downtown. Only downside is how tiny the bathroom was. Overall an amazing experience. I would recommend. Ooh and you get a free cookie when you check in. Yum!

Had no strong issues with the stay. A few things to note: really weren't mandating everyone wear a mask which left quite a few people wandering around and jumping in elevators as if life is no different. Wish there would've been a stronger employee stance but it is what it is. The doors slam shut so most nights you'll hear doors slamming until 2a. Hotel is slightly dated but I do believe they are renovating. The balconies don't have chairs and aren't more than 16 inches from the door. Our balcony dripped water the entire time and there was a constant puddle in the center. Overall, the stay was fine but wasn't anything exciting for the price.

This hotel was beautiful and so. Luxurious. I loved it. Right in the. Middle of the Smokey mountains. When you go on the balcony in the morning its just so unbelievable. I absolutely adored this hotel. The food was exquisite the pool, restaurant, service, location, everything was perfect. I definitely would recommend this hotel. I plan on going again!!!

The room definitely need some deep cleaning and updating it s such a shame I woke up with sinus headache due to the amount of dust in the room . The balcony definitely needs some serious cleaning along with the glass door I was very excited we stay in many other Doubletree hotels before but this one won t be on our list again.

I never write these reviews because I feel that hotel preference can vary so much by the individual, however in Park Vista's case I need to leave this review. We had to stay here as all the hotels in Gatlinburg were at max capacity this weekend for New Years. It was about 250 a night. For that much money the pool was the best thing I can recommend. We were not able to check in on New years eve until an hour or so after check-in time. Things happen and I understand that, but for the rate we paid we should have been offered something - breakfast vouchers, dinner voucher, a % off our room - something for the inconvenience of having to wait on the hotel to be ready to do what a hotel does. The lobby was full of people being patient but also being told to go eat dinner and come back.... which on New Years Eve in Gatlinburg is easier said than done. Then when we got to our room it was just a room. Nothing awesome. Nothing worth 250 a night. Small, not super clean, drain flies in the bathroom etc...Heat inconsistent. We never complained because it wouldn't have done any good. The next day we had no room service until around 4:00 in the afternoon. We had been out all day and came back to a mess, no towels, no clean sheets. Again- for 80$ a night - no problem - but for 250? No way! We called and asked for new sheets, but they never came. The next day as everyone was checking out - people were waiting at elevators for 15 -20 minutes or more without any way to get out of the hotel. We took the stairs. Again all of this is not a problem, we were in good spirits, but in my opinion this hotel is absolutely not worth the money. You can stay anywhere in Gatlinburg with an indoor pool and most places have many more amenities and better service. In my opinion, the Park Vista is to overpriced for the actual experience and under-staffed. They were at the peak of their seasons, but management should have hired more house keeping and staff just for this week if need be to make their guests want to come back for future visits. My opinion may not hold much weight as I am more inclined to look for a clean but lower end hotel, but this experience actually just reaffirmed that more money does not always equate to better.
