Clean. Friendly staff. Great service. Amazing location. Parking lot is a bit of a hike depending on how busy they are but didn't bother me.
Very nice
Or
Just a beautiful place to stay. The views are fantastic. Prices are reasonable it's just a gorgeous place to stay. You can bring your kids and they'll have fun being there also.
Comfortable beds, attentive staff, who want to please. One star lost because my dairy free meals that were cooked were prepared on a grill saturated with butter, causing me to have a strong reaction.
The hotel was beautiful and staff was nice and accommodating. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the view of the city was gorgeous from our balcony.
My husband and I stayed there in August for 3 nights. When we checked in everything was fine. They had a draw for some feee items which we won a free movie rental. We went up to our room only to find a very poor layout in the bathroom area. The toilet up against the tub and the toilet having a leak. Called front desk they would send someone up to look after the leak. Their explanation was that it was indeed a problem and they had to order parts. Well parts never came and toilet never got fixed and the floor flooded so all towels had to be used to catch the leak.
Then one night we decided to finally use our free movie we had won. Went to use it there was a malfunction. 3 phone calls one evening to have no one come up and fix the issue. Tried to watch it the next day. 4 more phone calls to no fix so never did get that free movie. The free WiFi was so weak that unless you were in the lobby you had no signal. We certainly had none in the 14th floor. Seeing everyone standing outside their rooms trying to catch some kind of signal indicates major problems.
We get ready to check out. This is where my frustration builds and still sends my husband over the edge. He checks us out and voices his displeasure with our stay. The on desk manager offered to give us breakfast. It was part of our stay. So being a Hilton Honors member they offered above and beyond the points I was going to receive an extra 10,000 points. Well even as we type this review our app and Hilton Honors does not have a record of our stay at the hotel or certainly not the extra points for the inconveniences we had. 5 phone calls since we have returned home and several emails we sit with a paid hotel stay and no enjoyment or satisfaction. Customer service and certainly customer satisfaction is not in their vocabulary. If someone could just follow through with what they promised that say would be great but nothing but anger and this review to hope others don t have the same kind of stay we did.
If you have other choices on where to stay do so you won t regret that decision.
Nice place but a very small room. Two beds but little space to put down your bags. It's also hard to turn around in bathroom it's so small. Very steep incline to drive up to the hotel so keep that in mind. Also one of our glasses in the room had something that looked like sauce on it.
The lanai was full of water you couldn't go out at all the whole visit! When you set your dirty towels out of a morning they were never replaced. You had to find hospitality to get them. The ice machine on our floor didn't work!
The pool area was nice but needs work on the pool floor!
I love this hotel but when we called for room availability and rates this afternoon, I felt like I was getting the 3rd degree. Wanted name, phone number and then pushed for reason for our visit? Wasn't booking a room just comparing rates. Tried to be calm but it's none of their business why I'm in town. Booked through trivago and saved $40
My youth group and I stayed at the Parka Vista for the Winterfest Church of Christ Conference for a weekend. They were so nice to us and even opened up the pool after hours for a baptism! The service was great too. After we were headed back home I had realized that I forgot my diamond necklace in the room! 2 and half hours into our trip I thought it'd be gone. But my bestfriend and sister called the hotel and got a hold of the Executive Housekeeper, Brenda Ownby and she found it and mailed it to me. I highly recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to staying next year! Best hotel in Gatlinburg!
Great location, close to downtown, but private. Great views of the city. Beautiful hotel, restaurant was wonderful.
It was a very nice Hotel, people up at the front desk are always fun to talk to.
Loved it, very clean on the montain., and calm. Very relaxing just being there.
As locals we always use Park Vista for weekend getaways or events held in the ball rooms. Never disappoints. Parking is a little congested though.
Nice rooms, great pool area, loved the bar and fire pit. Great views.
The place is very elegant and beautiful. I advise everyone. It overlooks the mountains and has a beautiful swimming pool and the food is very delicious. My first choice is Hilton and the last one I love all their hotels and everything I travel. A place I search for a Hilton because it is very clean and upscale. It is true. Sometimes I meet employees that have two elements because I wear a hijab and a Muslim, but this is not It makes me afraid because it is very safe and clean and it remains my first choice in every city and country
Thank you
My daughter had a band function here. Nice accommodations.
Would have been better if the elevators worked. Good view!!
Great hotel, large rooms and pretty clean. They also offer fresh baked cookies at check in.
This is a wonderful hotel! It is a very pet friendly hotel. I wish the balcony was a bit bigger and the AC unit wasn't draining onto the balcony so you aren't stepping in all that water to look at the gorgeous views.
We enjoyed our stay here - 4 nights. Room service was prompt. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean.
However we were turned off at the amount of pets allowed. Just dogs everywhere on leashes. Even saw a cat!
Amazing layout, even better views. This hotel is very nice. Beds are soft and comfortable. Bathroom is very tight, but only need that room for two things. Balcony is small but the view makes up for it. Overall love this stay. Has and outdoor patio with fire pit. Indoor and outdoor pools with a Jacuzzi.
The Park Vista was really clean, beautifully designed, and great for kids (awesome Pool- with slide). Would highly recommend!
Great hotel......and has a great restaurant as well!!!
Rooms were very clean!!!!
Breathtaking view but always at full capacity, must book ahead of time
This property is not ideal for business travel. It takes a long time to get up and down the elevators and there isn't any complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings. We choose the property because it was in the HHonors program and Double Tree's are usually nice but this spot feels very aged. We were disappointed with the overall experience.
Beautiful rooms and views. Hotel staff was patient and outstanding in accommodating my needs.
Nice hotel. Great views. Remember there are two sets of elevators. Would prefer a free breakfast option, or at least coffee. Parking is scarce in the evening.
Clean no one bothered us. Remote didn't work, but called front desk and they sent someone up immediately. My kid loved the water slide at the pool. Overall nice spot.
The view was amazing and the room was clean. They should make the bathroom a little bigger but everything else was great. We had water in our balcony from the air conditioner and switched rooms but still had the same problem.
Beautiful location with either a Mountain view on one side or a city view of Gatlinburg on the other. 15 flights high. Located about a mile away from downtown, if you didn't know, you wouldn't know you were nearly at the heart of all the city noise. Reasonable rates vary with everyday day of the week and each season. The indoor pool is very nice! They also have a game room and small gym adjacent to the pool! There's a couple conference rooms, ballrooms, and stage. Nice restaurant/buffet on ground level. We were in room 606 and very pleased!
Excellent facilities for a conference. Conference room was great and well prepared. Food and service were great. Good location in Gatlinburg and great views from the hotel.
Nice hotel. Scenic beauty is amazing. View from the room was simply amazing. There was a small AC issue but it got rectified as soon as we requested help. Served with cookies upon checkin. Staff is helpful. Live piano playing in the lobby. View of the hotel from inside is simply amazing. Parking was a little challenge however it is free and at onsite. I did find the parking after 5 mins of lookout. The road to the hotel is a bit of hill drive.
I liked the hotel but it was worker who was just talking with a nasty tone and the people there was rude a old woman told me to back of and i wasnt close to her but overall its a good 15 floor hotel
Great family hotel. Rooms were nice & clean, kids loved the pool. Pricey but good breakfast. Amazing views!
The location was convenient. It was 5 min away from the trail we were hiking. The room was very nice. The staff was very personable. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for both dinner and breakfast. The price of both was very reasonable for the amount of food. The food was also very tasty.
Just spent 2 of the most relaxing days of our 2 week vacation here. The employees were helpful and nice. The view was spectacular. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. When they advertise pet friendly, they truly are. You get the same treatment as the none pet customers. We will definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a getaway destination all its own. Fantastic pool area.
Cara in guest services was extremely nice and not just to me... I saw her interacting with some children with questions twice and she treated them with so much respect! The con of this facility is that for 15 floors (17 if you count the main floor and ground level) they only have 2 washers and dryers and with such high rates breakfast was not included.
Nice and clean remodelled (probably from the 70s) hotel with friendly staff and pretty good food. The pool was fun and the hot tub was big enough to have several people comfortably fit. The pool was heavily chlorinated, but hey that's better than filthy! The trolley to downtown Gatlinburg stops right outside the door, which is definitely the way you'll want to get around there. Parking for the hotel was plentiful, and the view (picture below with the fall leaves) from our hotel room was really pretty. Fun and comfortable for kids and adults!
Building was clean and the meeting areas were spacious, but very cold.
I truly enjoyed my experience here. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the view was worth it. The hotel offers those incredible cookies that are over 300 calories per. The staff was very helpful and thoughtful. The hotel just needs a small facelift. The fine edges need to be bright back to its once glory. That said the design of the hotel is cool and the elevator ride is really fun.
This is an amazing place! I have had so much fun and I can't wait to come back.
Well maintained, very nice view of Gatlinburg from our room. Very friendly staff!
A nice hotel with an unbeatable view of Gatlinburg. The pool was nice as well. Has a couple of Water Slides. The restaurant was the only downside. The breakfast buffet wasn t included in our stay. We ate there for lunch as well. Good quality food but slow service. We ll stay there again. We ll just eat elsewhere.
Nice, but think it is ridiculous to charge a $30 room service fee to bring some pizzas out to the pool for a kids party.... Should have disclosed upfront, we would have gladly walked in to get them.
First time on vacation here in Gatlinburg and figured hilton would b a great place to stay....not a fun experience at all. Couldn't get wifi in my room. No DVD players and if u wanted to watch something good have to pay extra. Bar closes at midnight pool closes at midnight. Prices for food are outrageous and u have to pay extra if u want to bring it to your room. Not going to stay here again at the park vista double tree hotel
Excellent staff, clean hotel with a good location, and a marvelous View..
However the furniture needs renovation.
Third time staying here and love it every time!! Very cozy hotel with a friendly staff. We've gotten a different view every time, this time we got the city overview which was equally as amazing. You get to see the mountains surrounding the city. The rooms were quiet, we neither heard city noise nor neighbor noise which is an ultimate high! Food was great, taken it's a classy hotel and they don't need to attract visitors with free food! Will definitely be back for some of those yummy cookies!
Great hotel in Gatlinburg Tennessee by the Smoky mountains !!!
Attended the allstate music concert and everything was chaos.
My BIRTHDAY stayed at top of the mountain Pet-friendly and very nice accommodations
I just have to say I love the park Vista hotel ,the price is fantastic, the room's are clean and super nice and very cozy. The staff are all according and friendly.
Majority of guests and hotel personnel were NOT wearing masks although the sign on the entrance stated you needed to wear a mask while inside premises. Too many pets. I wish they had a way of booking rooms that were both pet friendly and pet free. There should be a disclaimer of some sort when booking. Good thing my family isnt allergic to dogs or else there could have been a lawsuit coming. Food was par at best. The beautiful views made us happy.
First off I booked my reservation a month in advance, I do understand that this was a holiday weekend but that's not an excuse, I came in at 3:45 pm with check in at 4 pm and the room wasn't ready. Ok ok no big deal I was early, went up the to desk at 4:10pm and room still wasn't ready. They offered a late check out at noon instead of 11am. To me I'm like screw that!!! Finally got into my room at 5pm. I will say the bar tender was very nice and courteous. For the most part the double tree staff was nice. Maybe it's just time for an update at this ragged out hotel? Came into our room and the floor was soaked from the leaking a/c unit! Owell it's my anniversary so I need to stop bitching! Won't be staying here again!
Beautiful views. Amazing water pressure (ie: shower) for a hilltop hotel. Friendly, but understaffed front desk and restaurant. Restaurant closed early on a Friday. Only 2 of 5 elevators working; let four elevators pass because they were packed, so we carried our luggage down the 7 flights of stairs upon checkout. There are other hotels with better service; not going back.
This was definitely a beautiful stay!! Will go back!
Great place beautiful scenery even saw a bear out front of the hotel
This hotel was great, we were gonna only stay one night but then decided last minute to stay another night and they gave us the same room.
The Vista grill was truly amazing too.. The wings were to die for.. Although the pool and jacuzzi was packed which was expected.. We still had a really great time. :)
Rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. The views would have been better had we stayed on a higher floor. The drive up to the hotel is very steep and I imagine would be difficult in any inclement weather.
Some disappointment unfortunalely. One positive I can say is the view, but with one condition: it has to be mountain view room. But... the view is STUNNING.
Negatives. It is not very clean, houskeeping is not up to the standards. The hotel was build as a tower with a huge empty space in the middle. Because of that and inadequate ventilation all cooking smells from the restaurants on the first floor are getting to the rooms. Rooms and furniture are worn down and in desperate needs of repair or updating. The bathrooms are very ... I mean very tiny.
In summary this hotel is old, not maintained well, needs a lift, a little disappointing if you take into account the price for the room and is definetely not quite Double Tree/Hilton quality, but has a great potential if those issues are addressed. View is probably the best in Gatlinburg. Food in the restaurant is very good. Gym is fully equipped. Surroundings are beautiful. If you ask me if I would stay here again - yes, since it is still one of the best options in town.
Great hotel with friendly staff great atmosphere and clean rooms.
.Beautiful woodwork and structure sitting atop a hill. Fantastic views
We enjoyed our stay. Nice room, clean. Beautiful view. Kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was very good. Definitely will stay again.
Spacious rooms. Nice decor. Expensive to eat on property. Bathroom was not very clean up on arrival.
