Love this hotel, the elevators are so neat the breakfast bar is so good and the view from the room is breath taking. My little Sister loves the slide in the pool and the yummy warm Chocolate chip cookies you receive upon arrival...the only hotel we will ever stay in when in Gatlinburg.

Beautiful interior with nice mountain view rooms. The king bed room itself was nicely furnished (the heating/AC unit was a tad noisy). Be forewarned that winters can be rough since the only path in and out of the hotel is a very steep hill. Also, taking the trolley is the only way to avoid parking in the shopping/attraction areas of Gatlinburg as the locale is a bit secluded. Overall, staff and amenities were great for the price.

Do not listen to any of the negative comments. I almost canceled reservations after reading some. Went this past weekend and the hotel is awesome. This will be the only place I stay when I come to town.

Amazing view of Gatlinburg. Great very clean rooms. Didnt have couch bed as promised but this may have been due to the booking sites misinformation. Trolleys from town swing by every 20 minutes or so and only cost 50 cents a person to hop on.

Was not at all pleased with my stay here. The front desk was super rude to us and our family we were traveling with. The rooms were small. The front desk got snappy when we asked for rooms at least on the same floor. They charge for everything including breakfast that was ridiculously priced. This was my honeymoon and I truely wish we had booked some where else.

Great location and views of downtown and the mountains. I laughed at another bad review of this place because they said it was foggy and therefore they couldn't see the mountains, like it was the hotels fault.
I would suggest not trying to walk downtown from here but the trolleys run up to the hotel every 30 minutes so it's easy enough if you want to go do some shopping.
Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Gatlinburg.

A terribly run down facility that relies on location and view to lure guests. If you've ever experienced the wonder of a dumpy property maintaining the DoubleTree brand, this is your mark.

Faded wood is a prominent feature in the very slow elevators that hold a few guests or a luggage cart, but barely both. Hair and old black grime/dust in the bathroom corners. 2 foot wide 'balcony' was perpetually puddled wet with AC condensation that seeped under carpet. Elsewhere in the room, the carpet was somehow sticky. Bring indoor footwear.

Staff was nice and attempted to move us from a very musty room crossing mold and wet dog odors. Ultimately, the room they had left smelled of a powerful air freshener.

Parking was ridiculous. Ill-timed very busy holiday week construction kept the motor lobby closed so the only provided option was to cross a huge lot with our luggage. Simply not the premium experience that we paid for in this DoubleTree, but not far off from the properties that leave us wondering how Hilton keeps them branded.

Older hotel but really nice views and staff. The first room we had had a clogged shower drain though. That was kind of gross, but then we moved to a bunk bed room and loved it. The restaurant there is quite good as well and the pool is definitely a plus.

The hotel and grounds where kept clean. Our room was clean and newly renovated. The pool is the next best thing to staying at a resort. It sucks the restaurant and buffet are closed die to Covid. The trolley stops around every 30 mins which saves on having to pay $10 parking fees off the strip. The views are the best around. We will not stay anywhere else.

Everyone was very nice. The food was ok not great. The furniture in the lounge/ bar area was VERY dirty! Our room was clean, but the view was the back delivery area and the parking lot.

My last experience with a DoubleTree was very horrible so have not stayed in years however I figured to give them another try this property was great and changed my mind in a good way about DoubleTree rumors great bed was comfortable all around good experience. Great location also if you have kids.

Loved this place! Beautiful surroundings and the lobby is great. The pool was fun for the family and the room clean and very comfortable! Front desk/dining room staff could have been a bit more welcoming (not rude, just bare minimum) Overall wonderful and will be back!

My favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg. Amazing views of the landscape yet also secludes you from the bustle of downtown. Amazing event spaces and restaurant as well. Very cool experience.

The hotel is nice but their policies suck. The bugs are so bad outside that you can't even go outside on your private balcony to smoke. They don't have chairs on your private balconies to sit in. If you order food from "outside " the hotel, you AREN'T allowed to eat it in the bar area, or on the patio downstairs. You're only allowed to eat it in your room, the lobby or the pavilion. It's expensive per night to stay here as well. We will never stay here again.

Lovely views, comfy beds, and a great breakfast for $15, love it is pet friendly for my 10 year old puppy to come . My only complaint is our room had kudso bugs all over the balcony and all over the inside of our curtains . They need to spray something on the balconies and put up more weather stripping on doors to prevent them from coming in. Minus the kudsu bugs we would stay here again but they have been horrible. We couldn t even open our patio door . The patio and getting fresh air and looking out at the view was a main reason for choosing this one . Close to downtown Gatlinburg but can t walk to it due to extremely steep road coming up to hotel .

This hotel is AWESOME! Absolutely loved our stay here! I don't have a single complaint about the place! Everything was so nice inside, including the staff. Our room was very nice and we had a great view. The pool was really enjoyable, especially the water slide! I highly reccomend this hotel. We will not be staying anywhere else when we vacation! Loved it here!!!

I expect a lot from a Double Tree and the Park Vista did not disappoint. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and you often get a poor experience as a trade off. The Park Vista is a beautiful hotel overlooking much of Gatlinburg. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a good size. The restaurant served excellent breakfast and had wonderful items for lunch and dinner.

A super 8 would have been a better choice
We have stayed here for several years
Whenever we come to Gatlinburg
It WAS our go to place
Absolutely not anymore
Last time I noticed that it was less than
It s fine everyone has a off day
Yeah
OMG it s now gross and we are not ever going back not even for free
I cannot believe that the Hilton brand allows their name on this type of mess
And I understand that they mostly are individually owned but still I m sure Hilton has standards for the use of its name
Lots of good memories here
And now that s what they will be
Rooms gross unclean and run way down
Pool same and hot tub nasty and empty and glad it was
Oh and all the construction debris that wasn t mentioned anywhere on their website or phone when I called to book as well as the noise of a drill into concrete/ my head very early in the morning
Really nice after a late night so thanks for that
And thank the lord for not letting my wife find that guy
My attorney would have more vacation money lol
Construction dirt and debris all over my new car every single day no parking close because of all of the workers are already parked there
Public restrooms gross
About the only good thing about this place I can say is that the grounds crew still cares it was in good order so there s that
I wish there were a minus star rating because they would definitely have it
Okay Karen moment is now over on too our new nicer hotel down the street and yes it the new Hilton by the river

The food was good but the atmosphere was gone! You are funneled to the basement and a very large room like a gymnasium. There really weren't any decorations except what is on the tables of food. The Harp player was very good and a nice atmosphere when she played.. Then she was gone and it felt like A gym again! The $30.00 was too much for eating in a gym!

Amazing! The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The view was amazing! Staff went the extra mile to switch our room when we had a little bit of a personal issue with the original assigned room (completely our fault). I would give more stars if possible

Super staff, clean room, bunk beds were a big hit and it was hard to convince the boys to leave the indoor pool to go anywhere else. Tucked up high with great view, but close to downtown and convenient to attractions, shopping, Aquarium, skylift, food ... shuttle also available throughout the day.
Hotel lobby restaurant / cafe had good food and variety. Breakfast buffet was hot, fresh and plenty. Outdoor fire pit for cool evenings. Firefly lounge area for a nightcap. Will definitely stay again. Perfect for school break with 2- 12 year old boys.

This review is for the banquet hall buffet for Thankgsiving dinner - it's not the Vista Grill restaurant. The food is DELICIOUS - ham, turkey, roast beef, chicken cordon bleu and lots of sides and desserts. The service is just OK. The glasses they give you aren't real big so you go thru your drink (tea or soda) pretty quick, and our waitress didn't come by often. They didn't have straws. How do you not have straws? Had to use a stirrer.

Not happy with the room, or the description of the room and the distance from downtown as stated. The staff was great, and the property was very nice but that didn't put weight the room.

What I liked about the hotel:

What I liked about the hotel:
Great location!
The pool area was large, clean and fun for my children.
The views are awesome!
The bed was pretty comfortable if you like softer mattresses.
Room was clean.
What I did not like:
The bathroom (where the toilet and shower are) area is TINY and does not have much light.
The a/c unit took forever to cool the room down and is SUPER loud.
The front desk check in woman was not very friendly and not informative at all. Luckily I had heard another employee giving guests the run down of what to expect because of COVID restrictions, like the restaurant is closed but you can order from the bar and you can get room service. I also overheard that housekeeping would not be entering in the rooms during our stay but if we needed anything we could call. I wasn t personally told any of this.
The lobby area and area outside of our room was sweltering. The elevators were steaming hot.
No USB outlets/plug ins except on the busted
alarm clock.
Vending machines on our floor were not working correctly.
The fridge did not cool very well.
This was my first time staying at The Park Vista. We spent a good amount of money in order to NOT be fully satisfied. We will look for another place to stay the next time we visit Gatlinburg.

Stayed here while hiking in the Gatlinburg area. They forgot to clean my room. Pretty basic stuff for a hotel to miss. No diamond member benefits (not even parking). The hotel is also a bit dated. Gorgeous views from the top floors though.

We came in the off season for the relaxation and peace the mountains have to offer. The hotel along with Gaitlinburg has suffered due to the fire late last year. Beside the hotel property itself not much was seen in need of repairs.

Pros: The lobby and staff we interacted with were nice and inviting. Room was cozy and the bed was oh so comfortable after a long day of hiking in the mountains. View was amazing from not only the parking lot, but the room. Asked for more coffee (cause of incident see below) and pillows, and came back with 4 extra pillows and plenty of coffee. Pool area was nice and kids would love it. Jacuzzi was refreshing and perfect.

Cons: No free breakfast, but that made us go into town and find some great breakfast restaurants. Coffee maker in hotel did not operate in the "two cup" mode, overflowed one cup and all onto the tray. Water temperature in shower took forever to get warm. Not sure to us being on 13th floor or what, but took over 5 minutes for shower to get to warm/hot temp. When restocking the coffee in the morning two days in a row we didn't get stirring rods. Hard to add creamer and sugar with nothing to stir with.

Great view and friendly staff! Some of the facility is a little dated and in need of minor upgrades, but certainly is a good place to get away with family, friends, or just to relax. Downtown Gatlinburg is in walking distance... but they have shuttles and trolleys that can transport to DT Gatlinburg or to Pigeon Forge.

Paint on a Pig. The rooms are NOT updated for convenience of charging phones. No updated appliances. The furniture is scuffed up. The bathroom is terribly SMALL. There is no information pamphlets in the room at all for the tv, etc... the More

I came with a colleague for a conference in the rooms on the lower level. The hotel was in a very nice location overlooking the Gatlinburg area. Its been almost a year since the fires, but the area seems thriving. The hotel was nice, albeit a bit dated in some decor but certainly well kept. The conference room was freezing cold though, and this was in the middle of summer when it was over 90 outside. They were trying to get it adjusted but it took until lunch to come to something reasonable and after that it got cold again. The fans were very loud making it very difficult to hear the presentations. Hopefully it was just a one time deal!

The room was amazing! We are diamond memebers so they gave us a suite. While I did not initially have high expectations for breakfast, I soon discovered that, while satisfactory, it is nothing special. Overall, excellent hotel. Just eat breakfast at one of the many other venues.

Furniture in our room was deteriorated in room #1505. We found black hairs in the bed and bathroom. No microwave in any of the rooms but only one on each floor. They gave us the run around on a military discount! We checked out at 5:00 a.m. and the staff member would not make coffee any earlier than 6:00 a.m. This hotel is very substandard. We were very dissatisfied with our Christmas day spent here especially for the premium price paid for our upgraded room. If not for the good balcony view, This hotel would have been rated a one star! I took pictures for proof as i was appalled!
