Very frustrating and disappointing. I tried to inquire about a potential wedding and was sent into an endless loop of call forwarding that eventually disconnected me twice. Tried a third time and left a message that was never returned. I secured an alternate venue.
Pool is always warm, clean and well kept!!! 5th visit in 2 years!!
The price was not too cheap, but what we got were nice rooms, wonderful tropical areas to hang out behind the hotel, a clean warm pool, and access to our private beach area. It could not have been nicer. Even some of the bigger hotels on the same street had much worse outdoor areas.
Miami is now on my top places after visiting here, hotel is top notch
It's been a while since I've posted anything less than a 4 as I'm typically pretty easy to please, but there were a few major issues at this facility. First and foremost, the elevators were in shambles throughout our entire stay. Getting back and forth to the room (we were only on the 5th floor) would literally take up to 25 minutes. Secondly, the drinks served at the pool area were not only awful, but cost about $20 each, and this is for a bottom shelf whisky/coke, rum coke, etc. Extremely weak, and if you wanted another shot of your choice spirit, another 10 clams. Luckily, the liquor store is only a couple of blocks away (TAKE ADVANTAGE). Funny enough, after letting the bar tender know you were displeased and asking for another shot of which they charge another $10 for, they ask you to not forget to rate them online. I think if it were me, I would make that request upon doing something that actually overwhelmed the guest, not underwhelmed them. The rooms weren't typically cleaned until very late in the afternoon, so getting ready for an evening dinner is pretty rough. Post cleaning, there was still quite a bit of garbage laying around, fallen empty mini shampoo bottles rolling around in the shower, etc. Add the pungent urine smell in the hallways (dark yellow urine smell, not clear urine smell), painters tape all over the place, but nobody painting, and the extremely loud chainsaw going in the lobby from about 10am through 3pm straight....Overall experience....I'd pass on this establishment as there are MANY more hotels that provide a MUCH better experience for the money. I hope this helps.
Good place to stay but the food and drinks were expensive.
This hotel is beautiful. The decor makes you feel like you are on vacation right away. The gardens here are amazing and showcase many different kinds of palm trees as well as tropical flowers, not to forget the two parrots. The grounds are super clean and sport a nice pool and a beautiful little gazebo for events.
We were lucky enough to live in the penthouse suite for a week and not only is the suite big enough for four people, it also has the best view of the beach and ocean.
The cleaning service was impeccable, meals both at the beach and for room service were delicious; the only miss was the arugula salad, it was small, the arugula limp and the sour dough bread hard as rock. The staff everywhere is great and it seems to be policy for whoever meets you in the elevator to wish you a nice day as they did so without fail. What a welcome gesture.
Coffee machine and pods in the room were great. We definitely had a wonderful March break here.
Overall great place to stay for a few days. All employees were polite and accommodating. Rooms are modern and clean. Beds are comfortable. They have all day room service if you get hungry and don't want to go out. The pool area seems real nice although we spent all our outside time at the beach. They have a small area on the beach designated for their chairs and umbrellas. Beach is pretty nice although the swimming area is rather limited. But it's just steps away from the hotel so it's very convenient. They do offer beach side drinks and food. The hotel is located in a nice area and shops and restaurants are close by. We used Uber for all our in-city travel and the pick up area is convenient. Ate at the restaurant one afternoon and it was pretty good.
The Palms is an amazing hotel. It is beautiful, and surprisingly quiet. We are having our wedding here soon.
We got a room at the fourth level. Great view and good room. The service is excellent and the pool and beach awesome
This hotel is the worst experience ever!!!! A beautiful room but the resort NO!!!! You can not hear any music of your own and they do not play music either, it is boring and the drinks are over priced and don t taste good at all!!!! The staff and security are rude and harassed my family the whole time we were there. If I could have got my money back and went somewhere else I would!!!! Do not go here if you want to have a good time !!
Great family hotel. Located in the quieter area of Miami beach, most guests are young families here. Beautiful pool and easy access to the beach and boardwalk. Rooms are a little dated (renovated) but overall clean. The room we stayed in had two bathrooms, one with the toilet and one with the shower plus a sink in each one which was amazing for getting ready in the mornings (we stayed as a family of four). Highly recommend Roasters N Toasters for breakfast which was a 20 min walk - affordable, delicious and massive portions. French toast was the bomb!!
I am currently staying at the Palms Hotel and Spa now. I picked this place among others because it s well rated, has a private beach, pool, and has a good location. A major positive was the staff was friendly. When I arrived, the bellman took my bags, I tipped him 20 bucks, and started to unpack. I am not quite sure why, maybe it s the size room I ordered or even their standard practice (I officially don t know) but the owner immediately sent me a bottle of wine and a card. I do not think many of the negative comments made above and before this one were true. For example, I have a respiratory allergy to cockroach and I would be sick and unable to breathe if this building had them. Though I did see one cockroach in the alley beside the hotel-outside was the only place I saw bugs at all-and that is normal in Florida or hot climates. Additionally, Alexander at the Tiki Bar was just as helpful as the concierge was at finding restaurants with food my child my like and I wasn t allergic to. The bartenders inside made my drink right, remembered how to make it and always made me feel comfortable. When my daughter did not like the tacos from inside restaurant (because she thought they were going to made with hamburger meat not steak) the waitress noticed she did not like it and took it off our bill. I think the flags on the back of the chairs at the beach worked better than flags that are not attached to chairs at other resorts and only fly off the table every two minutes. And, I did find the staff on the beach to be attentive, even to the fact that I could not get my flag to stay up at first, so he came showed me how to use it and it was fixed. So, now that I ve said a bunch of nice things: here is where I got frustrated.. the housekeeping was pretty confusing and inconsistent here. I m not sure why this happened and maybe I was confused; most times they came while we were in the room. Even when I left the service light on, left for the day, and came back that evening they did not come until it was time for turn down service. The next day I found a card in my room, like the one they gave me, but it was someone else s card from a room on the fourth floor. This made me feel really weird because it was not there before we left that day, and the house keeping had not come yet. So I went and gave it to the lady at the front desk, I told her, though it was probably from a housekeeper, no housekeeping had been done that day. after that the house keeping became even more inconsistent and weird. Like, I called down for the house keeping to come, while I was at the beach. The lady comes and tells my daughter (15) she cannot clean the room while she is on there and then arranged to come back at 5:30. So I actually had to find a place to sit for 45 mins so she had time to come and clean. Even though me and my family left for the purpose of her coming to clean when we arrived back she still did not come. Then a lady arrived for turn down service, but the beds were never made to begin with so the night lady ended up making the beds for us. Additionally, while returning to my room tonight, I was trying to use me key to get elevator go up when a plastic cup fell out of my hand and I spilled a drink in the elevator. There are phones in front of the elevator for service at every floor. So I called from that phone when I get off the elevator, 5 times, to get someone to come and help clean it up. No one answered. I realize it s 4 am but I was just downstairs there are people down there, cleaning, so I go to my room to call every extension they give on the phone that might help (at your room service, housekeeping, front desk) after 20 mins of getting no where I decided I would call the hotel from my own phone. Still no answer. So I decided to write the review, so they know I tried to get help to clean up the spill in the elevator. The only disappointment I had was the 1 time I called 24hour room service it was extremely limited.
Best hotel we have stayed so far. Staff are all very welcoming and nice. Everything very clean. Lovely designed hotel with palm trees, beach access, pool, this was the first hotel in the past 5 years when my wife didn't complain anything about in the hotel. Location us great if you want to go out clubbing or for a meal, 10 minutes from Washington avenue and 15 minutes from Ocean drive where all clubs and restaurants are. Highly recommended this hotel. Our only downside in Miami that we spent 5 times more than we originally planned it
I held my wedding at the property. Vanessa was a dream to work with and readily answered any question I had. She was very knowledgeable about the capabilities of the property and was quick to help with suggestions for ways things could work best. She was a key player in making my wonderful day just absolutely PERFECT!
Very happy with our stay at The Palms. This was my first time booking a trip to South Beach and I was overwhelmed by all of the hotel options so even after all of my research I was still a little concerned that I've missed something. Thankfully every single one of our expectations were either met or exceeded with our stay here at the Palms.
The rooms are cozy a little small but that's okay because in beautiful Miami weather you're not in the room that much anyway. The pool area is special in that it is heavily secluded from the beach or public areas by a dense foliage and landscaping. You have a nice secluded private feeling here at the pool. It seems that most other Resort pool areas are broadcast and wide open to the general public walking up and down the boardwalk here you have a very quiet private feeling.
The gym area is small too small don't have great expectations for that. The lobby area is beautiful and the moment you step in you're greeted by some lovely perfumes and aroma in the air the restaurant is just magnificent we enjoyed a lovely breakfast here sitting outside with terrific staff a great selection and quite honestly fair prices.
The poolside wait staff are highly attentive and very friendly we got to know them over a couple days here which also helps with a personal feel as well.
The location on Collins Ave also worked well for us because it's just On The Fringe of the really dense heavy touristy part of Collins Ave which means it's quiet at night and yet still very close to where the action is.
We are the kind of people who like to try something different every time we take a trip however on our next visit to Miami Beach we very well may rebook here at the Palms it certainly service to all of our needs.
Absolutely amazing conference and hotel facilities. I love the garden and pool area, as well as the proximity to the beach.
Outstanding hotel and staff. Excellent views and we were treated like royalty on our Honeymoon here!! Heated pool is fantastic, beach access is perfect and the room was above and beyond our expectations.
Beautiful hotel with an excellent position in miami and great views. Would definitely visit this hotel again
I went to an event for the day, but what I saw was very nice, pool near the beach
What a nice hotel. Staff and service are excellent, location of the hotel is amazing, right on the beach, and a walking distance from Lincoln street. You can always hop on the bus.
Friendly staff, good food in resturant for breakfast and dinner and overall great experience. Had good access to the beach, not too crowded.
Gorgeous hotel, great location, only problem was the valet people. Super rude and prejudice.
Very nice resort, staff is so welcoming and polite.
Good location, spacious room but did not have a service note ten.
The rooms are spectacular and the location I love because it faces the sea in south beach
Amazing view, rooms and hotel very clean, room service and cleaning staff very professional! One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Ready to go back in March and bring all my teens.. extremely impressed with everything this hotel has to offer! Even had late check out at no cost and evening turn down service. Thank you so much Palm hotel for the best birthday!

The workers were super kind and the treatment I received was amazing.
Excellent location in front of the beach, very friendly and clean.
Excellent to enjoy a well-deserved vacation near the sea with all the amenities at your fingertips ...
It is a beautiful place with amazing views
The grounds and beach access here are a paradise in the city. You have to see for yourself!
The Palms has absolutely every amenity you want to find at a Miami Beach resort. As long as you are ok with being a short distance from South Beach (about a 25 minute walk or 15 minute bike ride) then it's hard to find anything wrong with this hotel. We opted for a cheaper room which did not offer a beach view. We expected this to be less quality, however, we were pleasantly surprised upon walking into our room. The room is designed very modern with a beach theme. The bed was very comfortable and the view was of the avenue below with downtown Miami in the distance which was nice. The grounds are absolutely impeccable. Lush tropical trees, a large pool area, 2 talking parrots and a gated entrance to the beach. The beach service is amazing. The staff is polite and helpful. You can order food and drinks right on the beach! The water/view is unbeatable! I forgot to mention that the pool is also heated which we needed at night since we visited in February. The property has a great store located inside for snacks and breakfast. It also features a bar and restaurant which were also great. We look forward to coming back soon!
Amazing location. Great restaurant. Rooms are great. Beach. Pool. WiFi. All excellent.
It's a well located place, the people is nice and the installations are great. The room was not excellent but I have no real complains about it
Amazing place! Great service, bed and pillows super comfortable. Great view and beach. They gave us a complementary bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Nice detail. Strongly recommended.
Run down , Ice machines broken on 4 levels, worst house keeping service and poor restaurant service
Nice Hotel. Restaurant could be better for vegans, if it is really all about health and relaxing.
The Palms hotel and spa is a very good hotel. The price-performance ratio is very good. For example a yogurt costs only four dollars in the morning. That's more or less the same price as in the walmart. This means you do not have to go shopping externally. The beds are very good. The hotel is very well maintained and has a very good standard. For happy hour there are burgers for seven dollars. Again, this is a very good price. The quality of the citizens is very good. On the beach there are sunbeds and umbrellas free for hotel guests. The welate parking costs $ 45. This is relatively expensive, but you have to remember in which region the hotel is. Parking the vehicle outside on paid parking costs $ 30 for 24 hours. The staff is very friendly and very fast. Overall, the hotel makes a very safe impression.
Nice hotel beach was a gong show with chairs and service
good facilities but no personal attention. eye with the bills are confused in your favor. Four invoices four that charged more.
Having the beach just steps away was wonderful. As far as the hotel goes, I arrived on Monday expecting to havea spa day on Tuesday or Wednesday and to my surprise it was closed on those days and my flight left on Thursday! Not happy at all. Room was okay, but needs updating. Service charges for every purchase was ridiculous!
Fairly expensive hotel. Rooms average, and pretty standard. Pool is small but well heated and it's on the beach front which is a plus.
Super nice people, clean and beautiful, rooms are just a little smaller than I expected.
I recently booked a trip to Miami to spend some time looking for our wedding venue. I decided to stay at the Palms hotel since it was the top on my list of possible options. I figured I might as well gain the full experience of what seemed to be my first choice site unseen.
While the hotel has beautiful grounds as well as excellent food it was one thing that stood out that had me immediately know we would not be holding our wedding there. That would be the Jr catering manager Monica Henning. Upon my arrival, I looked for Monica to confirm our meeting for the following day as originally it was to be on my arrival day, she was unavailable. So I proceeded with my day when my father, who drove over (he lives locally) arrived. My dad asked the valet if he could leave his car for a few hours. He explained to the valet that "his daughter was most likely marrying here in 3 months to come." The valet said no problem catering will stamp your valet. A few hours later when we returned, we had to go through 3 people since no one seems empowered to make any basic business decisions. Finally, we were told that Monica would come up to meet me. When she did, she greeted my father and I with a phony smile and continued to say that she could not stamp the valet ticket since my appointment was for the following day and had i kept my original appointment I wouldnt have this problem. My father explained that there will be no car the following day so requested she please use it for today and she continued to huff and puff and make a stink over it. She finally stamped it with an attitude as she so pleasantly reminded us that it was a favor and to make sure I have no one trying to use the valet tomorrow. We were floored!!! Here we are considering this venue for a very costly wedding...wedding, which happens to be their money maker and she cant accommodate a $28 valet stamp? Furthermore, this woman acts as if she works in Beverly Hills. There was no warmth, no friendliness, stoic and matter of fact. She alone caused me to go elsewhere as I was quite impressed with the hotel and she spoiled it terribly. Monica should consider a new career, perhaps something she enjoys.
Perfect to stay without the party people.
Wonderful staff and a amazing pool area, the beach is great and include beach chairs, towels and cold water (infused with fresh fruits).
Amazing staff..facilities..and location. We strongly recommend The Palms..
What a beautiful place. Attended a wedding. Everything went very smoothly. Non stop food and drinks. The food was of the highest quality. Not the usual frozen stuff.
Very good hotel, the only points against that I found are: the slowness of the wifi and the cost of breakfast
The hotel is nice, very clean and good access to the beach, room service is good. The only thing that i don't like is there is no free parking space for guest you have to pay $42 per day to use it. I guess every hotels in this areas are the same.
Great location and service, can't wait to go here again
Relatively "small" hotel for Miami Beach. Small pool area and own beach with service. The prices are relatively high, but that should not be everything on vacation, what it is about.
All staff are accommodating and very friendly. Room service is excellent. Everything was very clean. That justifies the price. Had a great time here
Super clean rooms, very well lit, bathroom + powder room, very nicely renovated if it was ever old. Highly recommend!
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL!!!
The rooms are perfect size, spacious and very clean. The bathroom is gigantic. IN CRE I BLES! Beds.
Rooms overlooking the beach and the pool.
The pool area is very comfortable, easily accessible although it is often very crowded and there are no chairs available. But the flow of people is constant and some chair is always released. In the meantime, you can enjoy a good drink or dish in the pool restaurant.
Although it is located on one of the main avenues of southbeach, it is a little further from the center (during the day you can walk quietly but to return at night I recommend using uber or similar as you cross very desolate areas).
Beautiful hotel to enjoy as a family or as a couple.
RECOMMENDED!
Stayed for a wedding and had a great time ! Had a beautiful view facing the ocean and enjoyed the tiki bar.
Very good facilities, the breakfast is fantastic and the staff is very attentive. I recommend the experience
Updated rooms, beautiful surroundings, nice private beach and pool. Great drinks. Good value for the price. We will go back.
