Very nice hotel overlooking sailboat bay in Coconut grove. Too bad the Grove has suffered so much over the years and has lost its luster as a place to enjoy in Miami. (Southbeach took its toll.) The old Theme room Mutiny has given way to some very nice suites at a reasonable cost.
First class attention, elegance and comfort in the rooms ... First class staff
From the moment my family entered we were hit with smiling faces and an amazing refreshing aromas. This small quaint hotel stood tall and represented. The rooms are light and airy. The view of the bay is yo die for. The staff are great i love that they are individuals and not pretentious robots. Crystal from the front desk you are amazing thank you for providing us with more than a stay it was an experience 2 thumbs up.
Very clean hotel. I enjoyed the stay. Just didn't like the additional 30 dollars per day for parking.
it was a great place to stayed, Raul at the front desk was very polite, courtesy and the valet guys were super nice, we're defetely will come back...thank you....
The famous Mutiny lives. I grew up here and around here. Thrilled to see it so new and vibrant.
Very close to downtown coconut grove. No self parking options which is a con.
Clean hotel, friendly staff! Certainly worth it! Only the amount for parking is too high !!
Very friendly and very secure Hotel right across from the bay in Coconut Grove. Your room key is needed to access the elevators so it does give you a more secure feeling when staying.
Staff seem very helpful and friendly and amenities are as expected.
Cool spot and close to everything! Excellent service by entire staff!
Really nice hotel in relaxing Coconut Grove environment, close to Dinner Key Marina. Lobby staff is welcoming, rooms are spacious and clean.
One of the receptionists, Victor was very rude to me. While I was staying at the hotel, I went downstairs to meet with a friend and on the way back inside there was a fair amount of people entering the building and he picks me out from the crowd and asks me if I need anything in an antagonistic tone. I thought it was a joke at first. After grinning at him awkwardly for a few seconds, I realized he was being serious. At that point I pulled out my room key and told him my room number. He then decided to further inconvenience me by making me wait while he pulled up the information on the computer anyway. Keeping in mind that I had come in with a friend I was meeting with, it was quite an embarrassing incident and not something any guest at a hotel should have to go through.
Now that I'm going through the other reviews, I'm noticing that I'm not the only one that thinks the staff is incompetent and unfriendly. Something should be done about that.
I am an Event Planner specializing in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Miami and Pinecrest. I recently planned a Black Tie Wedding in Coconut Grove. The vast majority of guests were from out of town.
I worked with the Senior Sales Manager, Wendy Zane, last summer to secure large room block for this past January. Wendy was incredibly helpful, gave us great rates, and kept in close contact with me during the planning process.
All of the guests were thrilled with their accomdations! Not only were the rooms lovely, but very reasonably priced as well. All of the staff at The Mutiny went out of their way to make my guests feel welcomed. They were friendly, courteous and helpful. 5 stars!!!!
Bad breakfast service, waiter asked for tip even before serving the food. Expensive parking, dirty pool, worse linen service.
It is wonderfully comfortable. Broad, modern and beautiful
The apartment was big enough for a family of 5. The price of mandatory valet service is way too high.
Older style hotel so expect some age related attributes. It's in an awesome location and the pool and spa (and man made waterfall) area is one of the nicest I've ever experienced. Just something about its design and lighting that was perfect. Park round the corner for $12 a night and not $30 at the hotel. Yup, really enjoyed it and would reccomend.
Cool hotel! The bartender was amazing our entire stay, and the drink specials were a great deal!
The rooms were furnished in an almost laughably shabby way. The kitchen was fine, but nothing special. It reminded me of a motel. I found a bug in the bathroom my first night. I was not satisfied, given the amount of money we were paying (especially given that our room had no view). I saw a few different rooms, but they were all the same. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, but he was cold, rude and unhelpful. I told him we wanted to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else (because bugs) and he kept $300 of our money. On Christmas no less. I used to think so highly of the Mutiny. Never again.
Excellent service and accommodations. Location was perfect!
Quite little hotel south of miami with a decent view (if you get the right room) of the ocean and the city
the rooms seem like apartments and not hotel rooms which gives a very homely feeling
the restaraunt is good and the service is friendly
Issues: older hotel that is unmaintained so it makes weird noises, the first people you speak to don't speak english in the slightest (valets), and some of things in the room the can not be put in a laundry machine have interesting stains about them
Enjoyed it. No continental breakfast but there are lots of places to eat within walking distance. I had a good experience here.
It is very pretty on the surface at first glance. The lobby was pretty clean and the rooms were quite large. However, at second glance, room really wasn t very clean, needed fresh paint, and the outlets were loose. It is clear they don t keep up with maintenance in the rooms. Also, the shower is a big deep tub that is not easy to step in and out with ease. This morning I fell back into the tub, kind ticks me off.
Beautiful facility with spacious and well furnished apartments. Affordable price for the Miami average. Quiet coconut Grove resort, with nearby harbor and many restaurants within walking distance. Very convenient for visiting Miami and its surroundings. Available in the complete room kitchen with fridge and microwave, really comfortable for long stay. Mandatory parking with Vallet comfortable even if a little expensive !! Recommended!!
A renovated place with quite a history, pretty bad things happened in the 70s and 80s around here.
Friendly service, neat historical significance, and great location within sight of the ocean and in walking distance of restaurants and other shops.
The rooms are extremely spacious, with fridge, washing machine, living room, balcony etc.
The hotel just needs some good maintenance. My bathroom towel rack had stripped screws and was falling out of the wall. Almost none of the light switches work, and required me to physically unplug lights.
But I'm not picky and it didn't overly bother me. So if you're okay with things like that, it's a nice setup.
reasonably priced with large rooms including kitchens
You feel good when you walk into this Hotel. Its a very sharp, plush and comfortable hotel, its updated, spacious, clean,...and very clean (it doesn't smell funny). Service throughout hotel is impeccable....Swing shift Bartender is a little grumpy, but that's OK . Beds and Linens are great quality, Bathroom has space and quality fixtures. The one thing to note: Its not a "View Hotel" but the place makes up for it in everything else!
Very beautiful and everyone is very friendly and the view is beautiful.
Very nice hotel in Coconut Grove. Overlooks sailboat bay. Walkable area
I really had a bad time here we were having a family get together and the security officer kept on harassing us as if we were the only people at the pool. It was more as a racist thing than anything the other party was making noise as well and was never talked to about the noise level. We went to our room the police was called and our guest had to leave the security officer was very rude and disrespectful to us. We were not treated equally and we paid our money as well as they did i will not recommended no one to stay here due to the security officer nasty attitude and the fact that he made fasle accusations towards us not please. I really wish i can get my money back because the stay was not worth it.......
The Mutiny is a great luxury property! It's location makes it very walkable to all Coconut Grove locations, and the view from suites on the waterside are spectacular. It's worth the money!
Great location close to shops and eateries. Hotel is clean. staff is welcoming and courteous. Breakfast at the hotel was disappointing otherwise good experience
The hotel very nice, clean, and the rooms comfortable, lacks a bit of arrangement to the carpet in the room; the bad thing to pay for parking and when you search for any search engine says it has breakfast and that is a lie; the staff are very friendly and attentive.
Great location. Right next to the water. You can wake up and go running along the bay. We had a room with a full kitchen and king bed. Pretty standard room except for the giant walk in closet.
My wife and i love this hotel if you get the right room.
All employees very friendly and nice ... they are waiting for your needs and they call you by your name ....
Checked In for 2 nights and had the best hotel experience of my life. The staff was friendly, the check in was fast, check out was FASTER haha. It has valet service, the room was clean very spacious with a great view. And the place is Quiet. 10 out of 10.
Old hotel but very well maintained. the excellent attention of the staff. Very comfortable apartm. I recommend it.
Very good service from all the staff of the Hotel and I had a very rich breakfast from the restaurant, French toast with fresh fruit, dulce de leche and syrups; mmmm, delicious !!!
Near the hotspots in South Miami, good service and nice view of the Coconut Grove harbor. Parking is expensive like everywhere in Miami.
S a very beautiful and cozy place and I recommend it to all s a beautiful speriensia
Nice hotel and great location. Staff was really nice and helpful
Enormous hotel, very busy, but well organized. We always had help if we needed it.
Great hotel, needs a little updating in the room but the great service and awesome pool, sauna, and steam room more than make up for it. Nice to have a full suite too, with a full size fridge and washer and dryer.
This hotel was modern and very clean. I was impressed with how good it smelled. I know that sounds weird, but so many places have a musty or dirty smell. The room space was great and looked new. The bed was great. We had a nice view of the bay. The pool area was clean and tropical. We would stay again.
Excellent rooms with kitchen, balcony, nice size bathroom, and comfortable beds. Pool area is unique with Bar and areas to relax. Location is right downtown minutes from food and activities. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I shook my head with a mandatory charge for $30 to valet park and park your car in a normal spot right next to hotel as you would normally.
Great staff, beautiful common areas, very well maintained
We ve stayed at the room 504 upon arrival and the room was very bad. The sofa bed was not usable to the point that we had to bring our own mattress so our kid can sleep. Hotel couldn t provide roll away bed or another bed. Thankfully we were moved to another room and and our stay was much better. Staff is helpful, professional and friendly. Restaurant food was good.
Impeccably clean, neat. Very attentive as well as courteous staff. Rooms and amenities are outstanding.
Great hotel. Wonderful location, staff and facilities
Great location. In walking distance to many great places.
Very comfortable, spacious spaces and the location is perfect, in front of the Coconut marina, we had a great time.
It's a very nice place and the people who work here have been exceptionally nice and helpful! No free WiFi, not the room that we booked online! $8 A day for WiFi per device is ridiculous!!
It was exceptional. I loved it and would go back again
Residential units are modern and spacious. Entire building is well maintained and the staff is helpful. Gym is average at best, and it is in a tiny room that is cramped if there happen to be more than 2 people.
From start to finish attentive to every detail, very clean rooms, great ambience. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom spotless. Pool was surrounded by beautiful foliage and lovely orchids. The Mutiny is a gem in Coconut Grove. Will definitely return!
Extra thanks for Jesus for taking care of every detail and making us feel welcome!!!
