Clean hotel, friendly service, great location. Highly recommended.
Clean hotel, friendly service, great location. Highly recommended.
I love working at the mansion my boss and co work are great and I love meeting the new guest that come there
Very nice hotel! Not a prefab-motel
feel, like most US hotels. Lounge is a bit boring n so are breakfast there. No oatmeal :( -Gym is fresh. No balconies but windows that could open.
This place is 100% haunted!.
All the review about the staff and the rooms are correct. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the staff is great.
Unfortunately, I stayed here 2X s and I will never stay here again!
In the morning, I experienced a dark entity that held me down in bed. I couldn t move or breath. When I released me I packed and left. On my way out told the front desk lady.
She told me she used to work the night shift 3 years prior. This happened to another lady staying there.
I m so appreciative that she told me so I didn t think I was loosing my mind.
If you like these kind of dark, spiritual happenings then this is the place! I will not stay here again! It was a disturbing experience!
We visited the Poseidon spa which was heavenly. Raye was a delight and so were our massage therapists, Emma and Lydia. If you get time for some R&R, it's a must stop place.
Beautiful venue! Attended a wedding here and it had a great touch of vintage and modern. Beautiful!
Great staff, nice old charm, artwork needs updating
A beautiful hotel in a great location. We checked in on Sunday afternoon and the ladies at the front desk (3) were so nice. Also loved the valets , shuttle drivers and our room service Serbian intern . Our room (118) was really nice and a large bath. Our kind of hotel and we'll be back. Room service and food was excellent , courtesy of the Serbian intern , of course.
Great building with historical interest. Rooms are clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I couldn't find a fitness center in the building but if you like running the Forsyth Park is directly across the street. Also parking is a bit inconvenient if you don't want to pay for valet. You have to drive around the block to find free parallel spots.
The front desk staff could not check us in until 30 mins after the scheduled time and did not call me when it was ready, despite taking down my number for that reason. They offered no help in this matter. No apology either. My family checked into another room, and found people already in it! Although they were upgraded to a nicer room for their trouble, it is terrifying this happened at all. The rooms were nice and comfortable, but despite leaving do not disturb signs up, the cleaning staff came in anyway. At breakfast they ran out of food. Finally, my car keys had been mislabeled. It was very crowded that weekend, which explains some performance issues, but I do not recommend this place. It was worse than your average Marriott.
I work there once a week keeping the grounds looking nice! Perfect location and beautiful building!
Great room, top notch service. Parking expensive, 26 per nigh
The customer service was very poor at the Mansion. I paid over $400/night to stay at this hotel. For that kind of money, I expected an experience similar to the Ritz Carlton. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The lady at the front desk was not the least bit friendly at check-in. When I booked the room, they guaranteed a room overlooking the park. Our room was overlooking the dumpsters and A/C fans. When we called down to see if we could be moved, she refused to help us in any way. We paid extra for the concierge service which included a continental breakfast. We got there an hour and a half before it ended and they were out of plates and forks. I was instructed to eat my eggs from a bowl with a spoon (instead of simply washing the dishes)!
I will say that the hotel was decorated nicely and was clean. But, I would not stay here again due to the poor customer service.
Gorgeous, first-class boutique hotel in charming Savannah, GA.
Unique hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Enjoying our stay so far!
If I could give this hotel no stars, I would. We booked online through AMEX platinum expecting two queen beds and a concierge level since there were four of us. We arrived only to learn that this was not guaranteed and the best they could give us was a rollaway. Our toilet got clogged and we politely asked for them to fix it when we were away, but they never did. Lastly, the shuttle that "will leave and depart to go to the Bohemian hotel every half hour" failed to do so. We got over there easily but left dinner at 8:45 and waited 30+ minutes for them to come; some other guests who had been with us before had been there even longer and had to call the hotel. Apparently, although it was never stated, we had to call for the shuttle to come pick us up even though they specifically told us they came every half hour. Ridiculous; we literally could've walked to our hotel faster than the shuttle came to pick us up. AND THIS ALL WAS JUST WITHIN THE FIRST 6 HOURS OF BEING THERE! Will never, ever return or recommend to anyone. Don't stay at this hotel.
Great food. Had the tomato soup, N.Y. strip, and mash potatos. All very good! The setting is very romantic though I wish they would enforce a dresscode, it too nice of a place for people to wear jeans. If you go take some time to tour the mansion. there is a live jazz band upstairs.
Very professional staff, very nice rooms, extremely good location just off the park and easy walking distance of much of downtown Savannah
I dined at 700 Drayton this weekend, and the food, atmosphere, and service were wonderful! Our waiter, Steve, gave excellent menu and drink selections and was very friendly. I'll definitely be returning!
The wedding I attended was beautiful, however, there were some slip up, such as the wedding reception beginning late and food not being served until an hour after planned.
If I could I would give no stars. This hotel ruined my husbands birthday, the people that worked there were helpless. Tried to get a contact for Corporate and that's all dead ends. Hotel was creepy, smelly, and dirty. Way way way overpriced. Honestly, i don't write reviews, but this was so horrible... maybe it would save someone else the headache and over payment.
Great Service - we stayed last night and were assisted by Rebekah. She was great! Highly recommend.
We had a great stay here. Not only are the rooms absolutely beautiful, but the staff is also more than accomodating. From dinner recommendations upon our arrival, over sending champagne glasses up to our room and allowing us to check out late, to holding our bags while we strolled around Savannah before heading to the airport for our evening flight.
We also enjoyed the delicious and reasonably priced breakfast. The waitress seemed very attentive and accommodated my request for an egg white omelette despite it not being on the menu.
We had some time before doing a haunted Savannah walking tour on our second evening and decided to get a drink at the bar. Both the Old Fashioned and the Bloody Mary did not disappoint. We also both really enjoyed the atmosphere.
The pool was more than sufficient for our needs and by no means overcrowded, as some reviews mentioned. I think it's really the little things that make this hotel stand out and truly change the trip experience. News papers, oranges and apples, and fruit infused water in the lobby; bathrobes and larger than usual soap, lotion, and shampoo bottles in the hotel room; and towels by the pool. But, as mentioned before, the most outstanding part are the employees at the Mansion on Forsyth park, who are very accommodating and seem genuinely happy to help with every small request. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and certainly plan to come back.
Stopped in after a very hot afternoon at Forsyth Park for a few drinks (and to cool off in the AC). Immaculate historic property with some very friendly staff. Always a smile and prompt service. Drinks are on the pricier side ($11 for a G&T), but are made well and are comparable in price to other upscale hotel lounges.
Very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom had adequate space. The children enjoy the pool area. The only issue I had was the room was not ready at check in but they expect you to check out on time. No that's funny. No one every apologize for the room not being ready on time.
Room, staff and location all perfect. Very happy with this choice.
Really enjoyed my birthday weekend at the mansion. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to the history of Savannah! Enjoyed the artsyiness of the hotel and the staff was attentive. Rooms simply elegant!
Wonderful Mansion with elegant rooms and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Easy access to the large but beautiful park across the street.
What a nice hidden gem with great sized rooms, warm staff, and superb location. Just think you will find it a well spent relaxing visit. Will return.
Very nice place. Room was nice. The bathroom was the best I've ever seen. All marble bathroom with large shower that had 3 shower heads. Shower heads were from the left and right and one that came straight down.
Beautiful hotel!!! Has lots of character with very elegant rooms. The staff is amazing & location is close to everything especially the parks!! Love it & can't wait til our next visit!!
Amazing experience with chef for girls night out cooking class. I highly recommend everyone try one of the classes for an experience of a lifetime.
Kessler seems to be intentionally understaffing this location - to its detriment. The reputation is well earned, but ours was not the reputed, immaculate experience at the Mansion.
Fantastic hotel, great restaurant, with outstanding service
Beautiful place! Very romantic with amazing art work! Will definitely came back.
Jaw dropping beautiful and elegant. Stopped to enjoy a drink and munchies while touring Savannah. A must return.
The best experience, what a beautiful place I would stay here again and again!
Wonderful atmosphere, with great access to historic savannah. Great place to enjoy some quiet in the middle of the city. The building has fascinating history and the rooms have a ton of southern charm. Love it.
Didn't stay at the hotel, but i did eat lunch. Everything was tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful.
My stay at the Mansion on Forsyth was amazing! Such a beautiful hotel. I love the decor. And because it was my birthday they upgraded my room to one at the front of the hotel. I had a wonderful view of the park across the street.
great location..friendly staff...funky rooms and good bar...a.win win.
Our room was fabulous and our dinner that night and breakfast the next day was equally awesome. The downtown location made it ideal for us to tour the gorgeous city of Savannah by foot. When we arrived at the wharf for dinner the next day, a complimentary ride back to the hotel was much appreciated. 5 stars all the way!
Great Location and front of house staff. The Bar Upstairs often has live music
Excellent from top to bottom. Service, staff, rooms, food, and everything else.
Staff are friendly, it's a beautiful building, the park is right out the front door the location is nice, there are Dot stops and trolley stops right here to help you get around and the shuttle to the sister property (Bohemian) was wonderful.
Cleanliness of the room is why this this is rated a 3 star. Bathroom floor was dirty, I wiped up stains that were on the floor when we arrived and the wash cloth was black. They don't sweep the carpets during room use, we had to ask for replacement glasses, wash clothes and towels.
Incredibly beautiful - don't even hesitate, this is the best hotel. Worth every penny.
I went to look at the location to book for a wedding reception. The mansion is absolutely beautiful. Don't have any negative comments.
Beautful decor. Enjoyed the atmosphere here. Lots of art work to look at.
Right next to a central park, the hotel is huge with free cookies, a pool, and amazing rooms.
When it's deemed a private event, people who are not invited to the event should not be allowed in the private location.
Had 50th birthday dinner with my family and friends
Food was great . Love it
**Where to even begin with this disastrous hotel**
I booked 2 hotel rooms for 2 nights, one of them was to be a king size bed and other two queen beds.
I called on Wednesday to book the reservation and then again on Friday.
We arrived in Savannah for a late check in, we drove from Orlando and got to Savannah after midnight.
The city was creepy as could be, and pulling into the hotel driveway, we legit thought we were at the wrong address. We walk inside, to the creepiest music playing, and the lights flickering at the front desk.
I give the guy my name and all my information, and he gets the keys ready and mentions two rooms with two king beds. I m thinking he just was tired and said the wrong info, he was correct though.
When booking on the phone through the actual hotel- this 4 star hotel cannot guarantee a room with two queen beds. So I have a party of 6, and two adults are going to be sleeping where? The front desk was not of any help at all, and pretty much scammed me into getting another room for my guests.
For 2 nights, 3 rooms our bill was over $1600, the manager of the location says that these sort of things happen all the time. Ok, so why not fix them??? You re a 4star hotel and are associated with Ritz Carlton & Marriott, can you not get some better management or better yet, help a customer out that just drove 4 hours, and are tired and need some sleep?
We can get you a room, but of course they did not comp it. The best thing they could do is a 10% off nightly rate and complimentary continental breakfast- which was cold, and had enough options to feed a 5year old boy.
This is a disgrace of a hotel to the Ritz, none of my reviews on this place can be any sort of positive. I ve been at other nice hotels, and know what it s like when a hotel has good customer service.
There is ALWAYS something that a manager can do to make their customer happy & try and keep them satisfied.
I HOPE that for some reason they will deduct and give me a credit on my card.
I have a party of 6 people, that are ready to write their own thoughts. Can you imagine though, coming to GA for a birthday weekend & getting treated as if you re at a motel 6, actually- I even think motel 6 would ve handled the situation better.
Regarding the appearance- Old and crusty.
There was so much dust inside the room, which smelled like a wet towel.
The bed sheets were clean, so that s a plus but the amount of noise you hear throughout the night is terrible. Cardboard thin walls.
Friendly staff. Classic decor. Good food and drinks. Romantic atmosphere
Excellent service. Perfect cocktails. Wonderful appetizers. Beautiful location.
Love how it is in walking distance of basically everything in Savannah! The rooms are gorgeous and beds are comfortable. Service is outstanding! Definitely would stay here again!
This hotel is amazing! The downfall is valet! I learned a valuable lesson today, no matter how nice and beautiful a place is check your things before you leave! The manager of valet services there is very rude and disrespectful. We rented a car for vacation the car was a almost a new car no damages, we checked out went to get food getting out of the car I noticed a long dent from one door to next door and the bottom panel of the car scraped up. I reported to the manager of valet and he was very upset about the ordeal that we even implied that it was their fault! The night before this happened we waited for the same manager to bring the car around and it took about 15minutes to receive the car and parking is a few feet away in the back of the hotel! Im guessing this is the wrong company to be working for such a nice place!
My family and I enjoyed a beautiful Mother's Day brunch at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. As we approached the ballroom, I was greeted with a warm "Happy Mother's Day" and given a gorgeous single stem lavender rose. (Purple is my favorite color so that made my day) There was a pianist playing a variety of musical selections for our entertainment and a buffet filled with every food a mom might want to eat! I was very impressed with the event and know that without a doubt this will become a family tradition.
THE best hotel experience ever! From the ladies at the front desk, supervisor Melissa and receptionists Shyanne and Clara to the valet manager Matthew I felt so taken care of! They ensured my stay was as pleasant as possible and I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!
Pros:
Very friendly staff.
Free shuttle to/from the downtown area.
Gorgeous Bohemian decorations.
Big tub in the room.
Good location.
Cons:
No bottled water in the room.
No privilege for Marriott gold elites but only for platinum elites.
The spa is small.
Attending the 700 Kitchen cooking school. What an awesome experience. Chef was incredible and a fantastic teacher. Highly recommend for those interested in learning how to cook.
Beautiful location! The room was luxurious, the pool area was relaxing, and the lounge had great drinks and food! Wasn't too impressed with the attached restaurant, though.
Such cute rooms! You really feel like you're staying in Savannah
The Mansion is actually a completely refurbished historical military fort. The property itself has been tastefully currated with fine art, fresh flowers, and well placed furniture. Service is impeccable and displays a well trained staff. Our room was an upgrade with jacuzzi and was worth it for the extra searing area and veiw of the park.
In addition there is a shuttle running to the Grand Bohemian Hotel on the river fron that is complimentary to guests that runs every half hour and provides extra value and avoids the need for taxis/ubers.
Great hotel, with a very helpful staff. Cool artwork, and architecture, with a good location to the park. Close to the river attractions, too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
We stayed two nights at the Mansion on Forsyth and it was a very pleasurable experience. The staff was super welcoming and the room was very clean when we arrived. The hotel is situated perfectly within Savannah and is walkable from all the places we were interested in visiting. The decor and ambience of the hotel was super unique and gave off a very luxurious vibe. If we ever travel to Savannah again we will definitely be staying at the Mansion.
We LOVED our stay at The Mansion!!! Could not have asked for better service and the rooms are remarkable!!! The beds are so cozy and soft you seriously will probably want to inquire about late check-out!!!
