I wish I could give zero Stars - probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We reserved an Executive Suite and paid a $100 upgrade to get a room to spend my Birthday in Savannah before moving on to Hilton Head for Spring Break. The desk clerk gave away the last Executive Suite (our room) as a complimentary upgrade to two women ahead of my family - we heard him do it. When we stepped up, we were told that they were all out of Executive Suites and they tried to put my wife and I in one room and our 12 year old son in a separate room. When told that wouldn't work - after waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes at midnight - we were given a room that had one king bed for 3 people. Had to go back to the front desk and, after multiple apologies from the desk clerk - we accepted a roll-away that barely fit in the bathroom. My wife had to ask my son to leave his bed whenever she had to use the bathroom. The next morning the day manager was very apologetic and said they would credit our upgrade and parking and I checked out with the credit given. Just got my CC statement - they charged it back the next day - requiring me to call and deal with someone on the phone with a lot of attitude. I am calling my CC company and contesting the charge as I feel it will likely return. I am thankful for the night security guard - he's the only one who understood service and tried to be as accommodating as he could. I've never written/posted a review ever- this was just too much to leave alone and not forewarn others. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of Marriott hotels - clueless service - stay away.

The hallways are adorn with various pieces of art (some for sale) There is a small pool, a bar with a very special piano (ask the staff about it) and a great (expensive) attached restaurant. Staff are very attentive and courteous. The location is right cross from the park and most destinations are walkable from the hotel.

Had an amazing holiday here in Savannah. The staff are 5 star, professional yet fun. The food was phenomenal. Every time I walk into the lobby I feel I at home. Great job Mansion management and staff. Happy Holidays to you all!

The good: The room is beautiful, the bed is comfortable. Thats the only good thing about this place.

the bad: Parking is a nightmare. You have to pay $25 valet, otherwise you need to find your own parking spot on the street sides. We were not made aware of this fact until our arrival.

They charge extra for everything. Using the bath robes automatically means you purchased them, and they charge you $90 per robe.

The staff is snobby and immature.

Breakfast is super overpriced.

Overall, not worth the stay at all. There isn't even much to do in the immediate surroundings. I recommend getting a hotel near the activities.

Nice hotel about a mile from the riverfront. Service is really good. Food is reasonably good, and just a bit expensive.

Parking is a hard choice - $29/day for valet - the thing is - cars are parked outside, can take a few minutes to retrieve, and - awesome - my car got a ding and the staff took no responsibility. Sucks.

Really nice hotel across the street from the nicest park in town. It is expensive, but the service, amenities, and overall look of the hotel is second to none. Also, the valet is 35 a night but they do a great job, and if you have AAA you can get 30 dollars towards breakfast each morning in their restaurant. The chicken and waffles is to die for!

Walked into this hotel and found an amazing atmosphere and the most friendly, engaging bar tender, Jake. Would highly recommend this place to others. He makes amazing drinks, and will customize them as requested. Wonderful addition to our trip.

I currently visited this hotel this past weekend to meet up with newlywed that were staying at this hotel. Upon arriving, I opted for the valet service since parking is a bit difficult for this location.

I arrived at 12:30PM and at 4:00PM I asked the valet attendant if I could remove an item out of my vehicle. The attendant escorted me to my vehicle and upon arriving I had a flat. I was highly upset and spoke to a supervisor. The supervisor was attentive and apologetic. The supervisor changed my tire due to my attendance needed for the wedding event. When I arrived the supervisor explained I had some sort of tree branch lodged into my tire, which cause my tire to lose pressure.

He stated it could be something that probably transpired before arriving. I did not open a claim through their insurance, since I'm familiar with Marriott's valet claim process. They get NO WHERE! I know, since I was once employed with them. This obviously didn't transpire during my commute to the hotel since I drove down from North Carolina with no flat or no low pressure indication from my vehicle.

Due to negligence on the valet service, I have to either purchase a new tire or patch this puncture caused by this mysterious tree branch.

The hotel was very charming and the outdoor sitting area was awesome. Front desk folks greeted us every time we arrived or left the hotel. They had fruit infused water in the lobby all the time. It's really nice. Would have been 5 stars, but had some issues with the valet when we arrived. The one lady grabbed our large bag and dragged it out of the back, which promptly scratched the bumper. I immediately let the front desk lady know since she was standing with us at the car and she apologized immediately. She also informed the valet who apologized that night when we saw her next. Nice that they apologized, but there's still a scratch on the bumper. :/

Beautiful hotel! Great, helpful staff. Some strange price gouging (4$ for a bag of m&ms), nice rooms but I think that there could be some updates for the price and to be really considered "luxury". Towels are a little thin and generally just seem old, I was expecting really plush ones. The bedding is typical hotel bedding with a sheet and a medium weight knit blanket. Rooms are fairly standard hotel rooms with a nicer headboard and accent chair but have that same rough carpet that all hotels have, sink drains very slowly and bathroom hardware is dated. Despite some of the less than luxurious details in the rooms, the atmosphere of the hotel itself is great and the staff are really, really knowledgeable about the area and are endlessly helpful.

The hotel is extremely charming and the rooms are very nice. The employees are very personable and nice, yet they had some struggles with our luggage. I was told our luggage want waiting for us in our room, but it was not. When it arrived 20 minutes later, we were missing a suit case. They recovered it, but it was slightly worrisome.

Just like the other reviews, we reserved an executive suite only to be told at checkin that the room is not available and they downgraded us to a smaller room. They reduced the rate but still, I could have chosen a different hotel had I known. Then upon checkout the bill was to the original room rate. I had to explain to the new person in front desk that I was down graded and it took 20 mins or so to fix the bill. I m used to easy checkouts where we just leave the keys or drop them off. On the plus side, the shuttle drivers were friendly and knowledgeable about were to go and eat. Decor was awesome. Room was clean. Bose music playing when we entered the room was a nice touch. Water and cookies were available in the lobby.

I've never stayed overnight the hotel itself, but I do frequent the gallery and have attended events as well. Service is always friendly. As far as the gallery goes, there is a fabulous collection of art both local and international.

I ask for a room with two beds...they told me when I got there that they can't guarentee how many beds are in the room. For 350 a night, I should not have to sleep on a cot. The mold growing up the shower walls gave me bronchitis after coughing every night all night. I will never book a room at this hotel again

We really just went to use the restroom. The place is beautifully decorated inside and the staff was very nice even though we were passing through. The restrooms were clean and tidy however, my husband said the cleaning lady was a bit rude as she came in swearing about there being people in the restrooms while she was going to be cleaning. We will be back sometime to look at all the art a little longer.

I had the most luxurious spa experience of my life at the Poseidon Spa which is located at the Mansion. The atmosphere and the culture is very nostalgic and based on history but you also experience a living history as you walk around the outside at the the park mingling with both locals and tourist. It reminds me of the movie "Titanic" because of the revelational "snapshots" of cross-cultural interactions.

The hotel with the most character! The artwork through out gives it a funky and classy vibe. The rooms are a good size, however note there is no wall between the room and the bathroom (but you can pull a curtain across). The giant tub is awesome for soaking while watching TV. The gym is tiny but you're across from the park so I imagine you'd rather run in the park (which is gorgeous). Same goes for the pool, it's underwhelming but at least there is one. The room service food is reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel and it is delicious! Had breakfast and lunch for room service and everything was great. This property is the sister hotel of Bohemian along the Riverfront so you can go between the two hotels (Bohemian has the best rooftop bar that has lines but guests get priority including Mansion guests). Overall, a wonderful stay (although we did have a odd check in process) and highly recommend it.

Hotel beautiful with views of the park. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Only constructive criticism is if you are sleeping in.....it would be nice if housekeeping had multiple shift so your room was cleaned once you returned that night. Music playing upon your arrival to your room was a nice touch.

Decided to stay at the Mansion after seeing photos online of the hotel. It was incredibly beautiful, spacious rooms, incredible bathroom, nice artwork, and quiet area compared to the river front. It was a bit of a walk from the shops near the river front, but I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else. Front desk was amazing at recommending places to eat, and see for someone who's never been to Savannah.

Everything about that hotel is beyond perfect. The building is gorgeous, filled with artwork and paintings. The swimming pool is open dawn-dusk, and the staff is super friendly (except maybe cleaning service that came at our door two times way before the check out time - not cool, hence four stars).

The property is beautiful and elegant. The staff is phenomenal. Natasha who was the shuttle driver was the epitome of wonderful. She couldn't have been more helpful, we loved our 5 minute drive with her. She brightened up our evening by exuding her happiness and care.

We had an amazing time, and hope to be back soon!

Thank you!

The room was amazing. Large and spacious with a GREAT bathroom. It was a photographers dream and a perfect place for some much needed pampering. We enjoyed the spa for massage and quiet time. It was a short walk to Aqua spa for my wife to have hair and makeup done. The staff was very friendly and just added to the relaxation. Located at the end of the "walking" area on the side of Forsyth Park. We will definitely be back.

the Mansion on Forsyth place is part of the Kessler collection in one of their nicer hotels. I have stated a few of them and this may be my favorite. The outside of the building is beautiful and the pictures show the beauty of the inside of the hotel. They offer afternoon infused water and cookies. They're very accommodating should you need anything. If you're going to stay in an autograph property this is one of the better ones I've stayed at in the south.

While visiting Savannah for an Ingress event, I stayed overnight at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. It is situated adjacent to an absolutely stunning public park and amphitheater. I arrived late in the evening and had no issues checking in, and was greeted warmly by the valet staff as well as the front desk. The room was amazing, with a very comfortable king size bed, beautiful furniture, fully enclosed shower, and a wonderfully relaxing jacuzzi tub. My Ingress event had me backpacking for 15 miles with a 25lb pack through downtown Savannah doing scavenger hunt style challenges to assist my fellow Enlightened Agents win the Aegis Nova Ingress Anomaly, so checking into my room with a jacuzzi tub I wasn't expecting was the absolute best surprise I could have hoped for, as my muscles were screaming and very, very thankful for the ample hot water and massage jets. Check out the next morning took no more than a minute, and I was again assisted by smiling faces. I am overall very happy with my stay, and will absolutely be booking this hotel for all of my future visits to Savannah!!!!

The parking situation is completely unacceptable. They have ample parking spaces in the back which they could offer their guests, but instead they want you to hand over your car keys and pay $30 per day + tip. Otherwise, you must park on the street. While checking in at the door, I was asked FOUR TIMES "When am I going to move my car".
The room was clean but the design is very strange. There's NO privacy for the toilet. A clear glass door is all that separates you from anyone else in the room.
There's a few nice pieces of art work throughout the property, but the majority looks like it was from a kindergarten finger painting class.
On the bright side, the location is very good, and the staff was friendly.

We are a little couple spending our honeymoon at the mansion. Although we arent used to something so extravagant, it has been amazing. The place and our room is gorgeous!!! Sooo romantic.

The staff has treated us like we belong there all long. They are so friendly and helpful.

We will most certainly be coming back. I highly recommend it.
