Beautiful Rooms, great service. Very professional staff
Updating this review as i was impressed with the proactive approach that was taken by one specific individual after I posted the below - Lauren. She is so fantastic and is a great asset to this property. Lauren made sure my mother and I had a great stay at The Mansion, even taking the time to put together a map with recommendations of places to go. If it weren't for Lauren, our stay would have been clouded by the poor service the property has in general. Thank you Lauren for making everything fantastic for my mother and I!
This is the first review I have written, ever. I am a dedicated Marriott traveler (business and personal), so I have a certain level of understanding, but not on this one. I haven't even stayed at the hotel yet, I will be staying there as part of a larger trip that I'm taking my mother on for her 65th Birthday. I called to see if they could put a welcome amenity (bottle of champagne) in our room upon arrival as a surprise for her. A gal answered and I asked who I could speak with about this request and she said she was incredibly busy and I needed to call back later. Wow, okay, I understand being busy, but not even ask to take my information or somehow make the experience a little better for the guest and for a hotel of this supposed caliber, there is not any kind of additional admin staff on site that assist with general inquiries? Yikes.
The most beautiful, elegant, and welcoming hotel I have ever stayed at. I was simply just breathtaking with all of the art and the decor. We were there at Christmas time and it was simply beautiful. The staff was so helpful and since it was my first time in Savannah and there, upgraded my room to bigger size and it was breathtaking. Super clean. Super helpful staff. So much to do in the hotel, there is no reason to leave! Will definitely be back and can t wait to stay longer and explore more!
Wow, what an amazing hotel and the staff has every attention to detail. We will be back. My only word of caution is they have no covered area when unloading your car...and we arrived when it was pouring.
Went for drinks and food at the bar. Everything was good
My husband and I stayed at this hotel Easter weekend. This place is amazing but the real treasure is the staff. From the moment we drove onto the property we were treated like royalty. Beautiful hotel and outstanding experience. I want to also say that Mrs. Melissa at the front desk deserves a million kudos! She was there our whole stay and made sure everything we needed and wanted was there. Thanks Mansion but an extra special thank you to Melissa!! Will return again for sure!!
Pricey but decent experience. You pay for the old house and top quality staff. The price per plate doesn't match. It should be about $25 per plate, not $35.
A beautiful hotel. The room was stunning and absolutely comfortable and wonderful. The breakfast and evening snacks were delicious as was the wine.
AMAZING. The mansion is truly a mansion. My husband and I came for our honeymoon and felt so pampered here! The staff are excellent and they helped with all the questions we had about the hotel and the area. If possible, try to get access to the concierge lounge, you'll feel all the fanciness you deserve!
The Aviance in of itself is enough to make you want to dine there alone! However, the food was of such succulents I definitely would visit again
Hotel was wonderful, staff were amazing. Couldn't be happier with one exception. The bathroom doors didn't have a lock. It didn't seem like it was broken just that they simply did not exist. Staying in the room with my mother made the door not locking a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, the entire experience was great.
Wow! This place is simply amazing! From the comfortable beds in gorgeous rooms to the outstanding staff, we were in awe. The rooms are quiet and oh so comfortable. We will be staying here again!
Lovely place to stay. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere.
So disappointed. Scheduled a business lunch and the bread on my BLT was so hard that I could barely bite through it. I can only hope that the potential customer's meal was better.
It's a 3 stars hotel!
Crazy expensive for what you get! No parking, valet expensive, long time to wait for car and they just keep your car around the corner on the sun be ready to enter sauna!
Room service lazy, don't clean well, forget about changing towels and leaving soap, shampoo, etc...
Brackfast in the room crazy expensive!
Bartenders at the bar do not care about you.
Pool is very small (not what we saw on the picture)
There is nothing so interesting about hotel to call it Mansion. Very disappointed :(
P.S. Your room might have no privacy. If you need to use toilet you might need to ask your guest to leave the room. Toilet and bedroom almost made like one room
A 5 star hotel with a 5 star experience. The location in Savannah is good to walk around and see the sights. The shuttle to the Bohemian is convenient and the free evening drivers who can shuttle you around is nice too. The bar is top notch and the restaurant is good too.
Our room was so humid I could not breathe after 2 days.
The restaurant was excellent.
Our waiter was funny and very helpful. The band was very enjoyable.
Amazing decor and service. Very clean and quiet. Head over to the bar or restaurant for more good times
Great hotel, beautifully decorated. Very professional staff. My only knock against this hotel is that it's a little far from all the restaurants and bars. But by far the nicest hotel in Savannah.
Very different kind of place. Location besser the park is wonderful. Cool art on the wall everywhere.
We stayed at the mansion after our wedding and it was fantastic. The service was great. All of the staff was great and super friendly. The mansion is right across from Forsyth park, which is very nice in itself. It's a little far from downtown/ riverstreet but the mansion itself is great and the beds and pillows are absolutely amazing.
My wife and I had dinner at the fine dining restaurant inside the hotel (700 Drayton). The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. We were beyond full when we left. The live music, located upstairs, was a nice addition to the ambiance and wasn't too loud. Great setting, food selection, and excellent service. Will come back again.
What a great hotel. Very much keeping with the Savannah spirit. Local art adorn the walls. Great restaurants with great food and service. Always a great experience.
Historically charming atmosphere with some contemporary twists; great service and delicious food. We brought my mother-in-law here for Sunday Brunch and were seated on the cheerful enclosed porch. Our server was excellent - very knowledgeable, friendly, yet professional. We shared a large and wonderful appetizer of smoked salmon on crustini, followed by a beautiful mixed green salad with poached pears and a French-cut Chicken Breast, as well as Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers. Mimosas and a Spicy Bloody Mary complimented our meal.
Beautiful hotel and room, however THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE IT ALL STOPS. The room location and especially the service is why I have to rate this property at a 2. The best service we had came from the bellman who handled our baggage both arriving and leaving, (he would get a 10!). The hotel was not full, however we were put in a room with a view of a giant rooftop unit air conditioner, and we are gold members of this hotel chain, eligible for upgrades whenever available. We bought a family package that included a bottle of wine and milk and cookies to be available in our room upon arrival, and that was overlooked until we called down to remind them (twice!) and afterwards it took almost an hour to receive our welcome package. How can it take over an hour for an unopened bottle of wine and milk and cookies? Because of tickets we purchased for an evening tour, we made a decision to have room service for dinner. Unfortunately, the menu was very limited, but after making the best choices available we placed our order, only to receive a call back informing us they were out of 50% of the items we wanted to order for a healthy meal, with no reasonable substitutions available. We ended up ordering to our room from a delivery service off property, and when our meal arrived the front desk seemed annoyed that we had dared to bring food in. We had concierge-level privileges, but when I went in at 10am to get coffee and continental breakfast, the staff was extremely rude and did not want to serve us coffee or anything because they closed for "breakfast service" at 10. I explained that I just wanted continental breakfast and coffee which was right in front of me and she said "I guess I could provide that for you, but today ONLY".(Beverages snacks are supposably available all day, however she was extremely rude and wanted me to leave while she cleaned up, even though the lounge is open all day.) The housekeeping staff, the bellman and the valet we're the only courteous staff we encountered - everyone else was rude and unprofessional and unapologetic for all the things that were lacking. After our evening tour we went to check out the pool thinking we would have a relaxing swim before bedtime, however, the pool area was a mess- littered with used dirty towels with no indication anyone had serviced the pool area all day. It was far from a relaxing scene at an elegant property!
I honestly could not recommend this hotel to anyone. At the rates charged per room, impeccable service should be found all over that property. However we found no evidence of good management. It was a very disappointing stay.
Wow, it's amazing here! It's the perfect place to stay on your visit to Savannah. It's luxury at its finest!
Make sure to go check out the gallery and the hallway of hats! Inspiring and amazing collection.
This was an absolutely delightful place tp spend our honey moon. The room was luxurious and spacious and the tab was magical. Being in the heart of the horistic district is the cherry on top. So many wonderful sights. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Savannah.
Amazing room, amazing bathroom, amazing view, amazing employees, that's all I can say!!
ABSOLUTELY worth a stay!!
Wonderful staff, and Flo at the front is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Beautiful hotel right next to a great park. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Best part was a full service breakfast. Highly recommended.
Room was wonderful, staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hey guys Abraham Lincoln here checking in again from the Mansion super stoked for Pence's visit tomorrow going to be really epic Uber's on me from the grave if you guys haven't checked out Stormy Daniels lately get on that Uber code VP Pence 20
Very elegant hotel right on Forsyth Park in historic Savannah. Large rooms and comfortable baths. (Ours had the tub in the middle of the bedroom which was pretty cool if you were there for a romantic weekend with your sweetie. And the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
This hotel is nice and the staff is incredibly friendly, but we paid $450 for a room with a king bed on the 4th floor. I feel like the value was around the $250 range. The good: beautiful decor, attentive staff, cool setting next to Forsythe Park, complementary breakfast and dinner appetizers. Not sure if the free meals were just for 4th floor or everyone. The bad: mini fridge had someone's left-overs in it and it smelled like seafood, sirens were going off thru the night probably do to the 10 plus story projects located only a few blocks away, and there were a lot of sketchy characters lurking in the park during the evening.
So, I really love the setting and hotel, it is really a special place. I just find that the staff do the bare minimum. My wife and I stayed there and spoke with the staff several times via phone. Left the concierge a message (no return call). Found out on the news that the Rock & Roll Marathon was happening (that the staff did not share with us) and it conflicted with plans for the package that we bought which included a trolley tour. The tour company's hours were shortened and despite telling the staff our plans of when we would do the trolley tour, they didn't share that fact with us until we got there. The Marathon also created some access issues which they could have helped us out with in advance as well. In fairness, I later found an email from Kessler on this, but you would think that the staff would be trained up to have this conversation so that guests are prepared. They credited us for the tour portion of the package, but rather unapologetically. Fast forward to today (a couple months later), I called to buy a gift certificate for a Christmas gift. Totally unhelpful and that just about did it for me. "you either need to come into the hotel or purchase online" Gave me the web address...looked it up and no place to purchase. "well, you'll have to come in" pushed more and she put me on hold and realized that she gave me the wrong website. Could have cared less if I bought something or not. It made me realize that maybe I don't want to give this experience to someone for Christmas. You pay a big premium to stay here, the experience should be outstanding. I really don't like to leave a negative review, but felt that someone at Kessler really needs to get this straightened out. I've stayed at other Kessler hotels and have had very different experiences. (we did visit the spa when we were there, which was a great experience)
Beautiful hotel with top notch staff and services. We could not have been more pleased! Absolutely everything was superb!
Fabulous lodging and great location. Very special hotel.
Attended a wedding here, beautiful hotel and venue.
Room was spectacular. The large bath tub was wonderful and the close proximity to all of Savanah's restaurants and attractions was great. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Beautiful hotel, lovely, clean room, great location for walking the squares and GREAT STAFF
Clean luxurious rooms. Very private feeling and wonderful location. Parking is either street by yourself or $27 valet.
Awesome autograph Marriott collection. Just opposite foresyth park
Went to the mansion for a cooking class that was well work the money. The chef made sure everyone has fun and the food we prepared was delicious.
My Husband and I spent a night at Mansion On Forsyth Park Hotel. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Our room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable and cozy. We could have just stayed at the hotel and our trip would have been just fine. The food at the restaurant was amazing along with our waitress ( others also served us who were just as amazing). The Art Collection will blow you away. The Hat Collection stood out the most. The ambience of the hotel was calming, refreshing, tranquil, glamorous, but yet with a historic charm and lots of character. Our interaction with Patrick the front office manager was welcoming and very inviting. He was superb. He made us feel really special. We most definitely will be staying here from now on when we visit Savannah.
Great location and staff. Cooking school was fantastic.
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Easy walk to the boardwalk and surrounding areas.
Been here several times in the past five years and love it. Great location with professional service. The restaurant needs a little help, but the food is enjoyable.
Great place to stay, and the restaurant was top notch. Check out the 2nd floor bar where they play live music!
Our experience at the Forsythe Mansion hotel, Grand Bohemian Gallery, and Lord Drayton Restaurant was exactly what my wife and I needed for rest, refreshment and inspiration. The Bohemian concept of a classical European setting with contemporary twist was intriguing. Being surrounded by art and music provided a beautiful aesthetic to uplift the spirit. The dining and restaurant service were fabulous. The insights of the salesperson, an art historian, to answer our questions in the Grand Bohemian Gallery provided unique insights on the art and historic mansion. I am happy that I was able to use my Marriott Vacation points for this enriching experience.
This is my new go to place. 5 star customer service with a 5 star hotel to match. You will not regret staying here, worth the cost.
Great hotel. Great service. Wish the shower had more power
Attended the Barrister Ball as a photographer. Venue was beautiful and staff was very courteous.
This place is amazing! Relaxing, romantic (if you want that..we did)and great service. We find our personal oasis here! Loved it
Lovely location with a lot of history. Drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The mansion also works with a lot of charity groups and has special event nights for them.
The place is nice, but pet owners beware! There is a 150$ non-refundable pet fee, that they fail to tell you about until your checking in. I was not happy about that at all and I will be looking elsewhere next time I'm in Savannah.
Highly recommended. I stayed here for over two months and loved it. Unique property, great location walkable to all of downtown Savannah, friendly and accommodating staff.
Historic looking hotel on the outside carries over once your inside. Rich in history, and the amenities truly make this a 5-star hotel.
