Would never deal with them again, we were fortunate enough never to need maintenance since our place was so new however there was a drug raid when we lived here we were never informed about. Then when we had moved out, we knew we accidentally left pots and pans- they threw them out and never told us, I called to ask about them and Cindy said I was accusing her of not following the lease which isn t true, all I said is most places keep your stuff for 7 days or let you know before they throw away expensive pots and pans. The pots are replaceable but don t be disrespectful to someone that paid you thousands to live in an apartment building and is asking questions about their belongings. Very unprofessional!!! Obviously it s not just me that s seen this rude side of them since most of the reviews on here say the same thing. I just never experienced it until we moved, thank god

I'm so glad we finally got out of this place. Yes they are cheap rentals but you get what you pay for. They'll give you every excuse in the book as to why they don't want to fix something. Much like the other reviews, they were courteous and friendly to get you into an apartment, and then proceeded to ignore you after you sign a lease. Our doorbell worked for about the first week we loved there, they wouldn't fix it. Our windows were hellacious to lift up and down and eventually we had to prop one up if we wanted it to stay open, and they had air gaps all around them. If you're looking in Waukesha, save yourself the trouble and spend an extra $100 a month somewhere else.

We love showering in cold water. The front desk receptionist is rude. They don t fix anything our door has been rusted out and they didn t replace it like they said they would.

My apartment ceiling has been leaking for a month. I have called multiples times regarding it, and I don t blame the receptionist who takes my calls, I blame the people who are supposed to be working with the work orders. It has not rained every single day for the past month, so there must have been at least ONE DAY they could have at least looked at the leak. It keeps getting bigger and I have moved all of my personal items out of the surrounding area. It keeps getting bigger and looks like it could cause some serious damage of not looked at soon. I m trying my best to be positive, but I ve started looking at other apartments. It almost doesn t feel safe to live here anymore.

Went in for a veiwing and everything was was wonderful and I applied on site. After a week I had not heard anything regaurding my application from the office so I called them to ask the status. The lady at the desk stated that they could not verify my employment and they needed a different number to contact. After providing her with my last 4 pay stubs, after she spoke with my manager, and after being provided 4 different HR numbers they still claimed they could not verify my employment, on top of it all the receptionist is probably one of the most rude people I have ever spoke to in my life, and while making me jump through hoops for numbers she decides to tell me the unit was already rented. Then why are you still asking me to provide numbers?!?!. I was able to get over the not being able to verify me, but i have called back multiple times to get the status of the application and to get my earnest deposit back and I have yet to hear back from them, its been a month and a half. So basically paid $70 bucks to have a company try to make sure im employed and they couldnt even do that. Horrible service and communication.

Horrible management!! Very rude and not helpfull. You call about a problem in your apt and they do a half a%$ job fixing it. We heard birds chirping and walking around above us plus I seen the birds feet through the above light fixture I called to let them know and they called us liars, there was and still is bird poop on the light panel. We had a burnt out light in the kitchen 2 flooresnt lights they fixed it great they came back to do some more work and couldn't put the light back the right way. It was very dirty when we moved in, you could barley see out some of the windows. They have a big crack in the ceiling in the hallway that's caving down over water pipes! The basement is even worse, pipes hanging from chains and weak support clamps very damp. There was a leak coming from the 3rd floor into our fuse panel! Not safe, looks like they had a problem with it before because it was all patched up when we moved in plus the patch job they did was very damp I could stick my finger through it without any force and went right through, was all moldy and damp behind the fuse panel. Stair railing are very loose and not safe I don't get how they get away with it. I'll be calling the health department to come check this building out. Do not trust berg management, horrible. Heat barley works when it's cold outside, so much more to list but I'm sure you get the idea. For your sake do not rent anything with them. Very disrespectful.

Was suppose to sign a lease on 8/22/18 for a loft apartment. And the day before i got a email saying i could come pick up to 50.00 dollars earnest deposit tomorrow. Didnt explain why nothing. I had been talking to Cindy about a question reffering to me add my bf to the lease right away or it could be done after i had signed the lease. And i guess she didnt understand that. So now i am stuck rushing to find a new place now since i already have a moving company booked and everything. This Cindy chick lies and pushes you into doing your lease.

Then CINDY had enough balls to go onto my business google page and write up a BIG FAKE review about me and my business. Which I have EVEN PROOF she wasnt in my business. Plus then proceeded to call my personal cell phone and harass me about this review (plus the review FAKE review she left on my business) and threatened me to take it down.

I moved into my apartment in July of 2016 and when my lease was up in July of 2017, I signed for another year without hesitation.

Berg management has been very fair and cooperative with me thus far, and they have been quick with me to correct issues. One major thing I would like to mention was that my bathtub developed a leak and was dripping down to the second floor. I expected them to patch the leak and call it a day, but they went above and beyond and gave me a brand new bathtub. When I saw all the negative feedback on here, I wanted to take the time to voice that this is not as bad of a company as these reviews say.

They're very unprofessional, after emailing them and calling them for a month; I called to ask why my emails was being ignored and they said I couldn't transfer my lease to another property because I was late too man times!! I was only late twice for bank reasons and both was ok'd by the company and I didn't get a late charge. I asked to speak to the property manager I was sent to her direct like where it ring twice and the person that transferred me pick back up. Days later I received a letter asking me to renew my lease because I was a good tenant..... I'm confused!!! I'm I bad or good tenant???? When I asked for my leasing statement the lady was very hesitant to print it out for me. As a whole the company is very sneaky and isn't a place I would suggest to anyone

I have been living in a studio in downtown Waukesha for 3 months now and besides some occasional noise from the streets, I absolutely love it. As a young professional, it's a great atmosphere and Waukesha continues to build a strong downtown. Every interaction I have had with the employees at Berg Management have been wonderful. They've been friendly and knowledgeable when answering any questions. It's been little things that have impressed me the most; like putting in my air conditioner or losing my mailbox key, where they have been efficient and timely. If you are looking for a living or commercial space in the downtown Waukesha area, contact Berg.

I d give this management ZERO stars if I could. Every time I call regarding a building problem that needs fixing I get RUDE service from Cindy or Janice. I don t know why they haven t fired these two. The maintenance crew that I have met is extremely nice & the apartments could be better kept (hallways, broken basement doors/lights) but overall decent size apartments for the rent. The front desk management CINDY & JANICE are the worst & they are most likely what all the other reviews are referring to.

First off, loved living in Prairiville for the location and the quality of the apartment itself.

Unfortunately what killed it for us was the facilities management. We had reported issues with leakage in our drywall and were told the issue on the roof was fixed and they would come fix the damage inside. That was 9 months ago and wasnt fixed when we moved out. They had to do an emergency repair fix fix a pipeleak and cut a big hole in out bathroom. We had to remind them to come fix the hole 2 weeks later. We reported major water damage in the hall where part of the cieling fell in. They put a bucket under it a week after we reported it (twice) but still hadnt fixed the hole a month and a half after we reported it, and we moved out.

Unfortunately, there just doesnt seem to be concern about the upkeep of a newer building. A lack of customer service in this industry impacts people's daily life and comfort, and unfortunately i dont think Berg realizes that. For that hassel and other lease paperwork issues we had, we wouldn't reccommend Berg.

Slum lords plain and simple. Do not rent units managed by these people.

The worst management EVER........ i CAN'T wait until my lease is up with them. They are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. They don't handle issues in a timely manner. I'm currently pregnant and the heat in my apartment only works in certain areas. My hot water in the bathroom tub doesn't get hot. I wish i could have seen these reviews and talk to previous tenants before i rented with this company. All they care about is you paying them on time. They don't care about anything else. DO NOT rent with them. I would never refer anyone to them unless they get better management cause every last one of them is rude and unprofessional. But i will be doing some research to see what can be done about this cause quite frankly I'm not paying rent for my request to go unresolved. To be in a cold apartment with no heat, hot water, and broken locks. So if i need to contact the better business Bureau or a city inspector I will.

Lived under berg for around 7 years. Maintenance has been poor. Had water issues in the bathroom since day 1. And was still an issue upon moving out. They won t turn the heat on till the end of October when it s already freezing making me and my children wear hoodies and shoes in our own apartment. Buildings are out of date and snow maintenance removal is especially poor. I personally fell on the stairs and in the parking lot multiple times. The only plus was the affordable rent, that is now as high as ALOT nicer places around Waukesha. All in all, not worth it.

At first I thought they were really nice and efficient. Obviously it was because they wanted to rent the unit. Then everything got started and I realized the reality. When I moved in I found too many details in the apartment. First of all, it has a strong dog and cat smell all around which is awful cause I don't even have a pet and I had to stand it. Also, during winter the heat in the bathroom never worked and sometimes in the kitchen or bedroom neither did. They have a mess with the heat cause sometimes it was way too hot and sometimes way too cold and I couldn't control it. I was pregnant and I got sick too many times because of that. And you know what? I totally understand that nothing has to be perfect, we all make mistakes, but every time I claim for it to be fixed they forgot to be efficient and nice. After winter I called them to fix the screens of the Windows (some of them with holes, some of them uneven and don't cover at all) they did not pay attention to my concern, and when they did they recommend me to put some tape (that's no a way to fix problems to me) and since it wasn't my fault they have to be responsible for it, but they never try to fix it. Plus, I got a lot ants in my apartment because of a infested tree too close to my unit. I was so worry because I have a baby and I found some ants in his bassinet. It was driving me crazy and they didn't take it seriously. They told me they were going to cut the tree and they never did. I had to buy some stuff to take care of it by myself. So they failed again.. Today they are working on something related to plumbing and they turn water off, but they never give a notification so it took me out of base. No water for some waters but they didn't care to give a notification. That's how it works with them... This apartment sucks, it has so many details that need to be fixed, and I wish someone could it told me before I moved in. Moreover, these people look like they just care about you paying on time and that's it. If you are concerning about things too much they won't be happy. We already give our notice and we're leaving this place and hopefully don't renting with berg management again. Won't recommend it AT ALL. If you are like us and you don't like to get stressful don't do ever do business with them. I don't usually do reviews like this, but I'm really unhappy and I needed to take it out.

My experience so far with Berg Management has been nothing less than perfect. My boyfriend and I contacted them via hotpads and right away within minutes we got a call back. We were told that there was a showing the next day. Right when I got there the lady was so sweet and informed me about everything I needed to know. Seeing as I had no clue about the process. I then turned in the application the next day. They said we would hear from them within 72 hours... I got a call back the very next day and will be signing a lease in a couple days. The women at the office have been nothing but helpful and so sweet. I appreciate it so much!

There's a lot of negative reviews on here, but I had a very positive experience with Berg Management. Janice, the front desk receptionist, was always very polite, kind, and helpful. Cindy, the property manager, was SUPER helpful when I was moving out of my apartment and accommodated me even when she didn't have to. Although I did have a few issues with a leak in my bathroom, the maintenance director personally called me to address the problem. Overall, a great place to rent from!

Professional and easy to work with, I loved living in Berg Management operated apartments! The space was clean and kept up with, any minor inconveniences were fixed immediately. The ladies in the Berg Management office really care about your experience while living in their properties. Highly recommend when looking for a Waukesha apartment!!

We were trying to rent with them and suddenly they rejected us and would not say why, even when we called to ask! The people I encountered were generally friendly - until things they were simply non responsive. Fast forward, it says on my credit report that they lied about the reason they did a credit inquiry - it says "MEDICAID INVESTIGATION" for Vermont? We are not in Vermont. What the heck?

They don't update their apartment statuses. Really annoying.

So we went a looked at a place on Mountain Avenue. Cindy was really fast with the walk thru. The price is a little high and When u try to call for residential help, she never calls back. Also I gave my 50$ to hold the apt and she refuses to answer the phone to set up a time to get it back. I DONT RECOMMEND RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. POOR QUALITY AND POOR COMMUNICATION!

Crappy company!

I saw a loft apartment listed on Craigslist. I called on a Thursday morning and left a message with Berg management to schedule a showing and for more info on the apartment. I didn t hear back so I called again on Friday and Monday and tuesday. I finally heard back Tuesday afternoon from a lady named Cindy. She told me the apartment was rented but that there was another available for rent that was a little bit more a month. I looked at the website and decid d to schedule a showing for the following Thursday. I went to see the apartment and viewed it and loved it. I asked if I needed a certain credit score cuz I don t have bad credit but it s not great either. She said nope but that if it came back that I wasn t approved I could definetly have a co-signer. She also asked why I was moving to Waukesha. I said to be closer to My parents in Genesee and my boyfriend in milwaukee. I figured this was a happy medium. She wrote something down but I didn t reLly pay attention to it. The lady gave me the application which I took home and filled out. I dropped it and my earnest money off early the next morning when they opened at 830am. The receptionist at the desk looked it over and questioned who this person was listed as my emergency contact, (my boyfriend) and when I told her that she questioned why he wasn t living with me and why he was my emergency contact. I didn t hear anything back till today when I got an email saying unfortunately we could not rent to you because we went with a stronger applicant. Please make arrangements to pick up your deposit by the end of this week. When I called to speak to them I was transferred to voicemail and when I emailed them back and asked why I wasn t approved and if I could get a co signer I was told it wouldn t matter because they found a stronger applicant.

This company is snotty and discriminatory and frankly very rude.

Seriously the worst. Not even going to waste your time with all the reasons. Trust me and all these reviews, if you can avoid renting from them, do it AT ALL COSTS. I was in a pinch and needed a short term lease stat. Figured they couldn't be that bad, they are. I don't live in WI anymore, but if I ever moved back to that area, I would avoid Berg and if Berg was my only option, I'd find somewhere else to live.
